Anise took hold of Gypsy's mane, to help keep her balance in case the Zebstriks had to run suddenly. She wasn't terribly used to riding yet, especially bareback, but as long as the pokemon didn't move too fast she ought to be able to stay seated.
She looked up at the mountain ahead of them and considered asking Halcyon to fly ahead and look for shelter. But if she got caught in the storm with nobody near by, she could be in real trouble. For that matter...she pulled out a pokeball and turned to the Altaria, which was flying along a bit above and behind her.
"Halcyon, you should probably stay in your pokeball for now. With the wind picking up and rain on the way, it's probably safer to get out of the sky." Halcyon considered a moment, then nodded and hovered in place so Anise could recall her.

Alexa was riding along on Vincent's back. Unlike many of the other pokemon Vincent wasn't bothered by the brewing thunderstorm. After all he had traveled in the rain with his trainer before. Plus he knew the trick to heat up his fur to keep himself dry and warm. Alexa paused next to a trainer who had fallen off her pokemon. "You okay?" She asked. She had to put a hand on Vincent to keep him from getting too close to the sawsbuck. He did love deer pokemon. 2/3

 Joey clung to Starlily's shoulder, looking queasy. Riding a walking Rampardos was kind of fun. Riding a running Rampardos that was looking back and forth for something wasn't! Stop the ride, I wanna get off! Joey thought, though he made no move to actually stop the large pokemon. He didn't want to get separated from the others in the storm, and Starlily was staying with the group, even if he wasn't fun to ride right now. Ahead, Lily Rose's flowed like a banner behind her as she ran back and forth across the trail, covering twice as much ground as Starlily with her zigzagging path, barking back at the thunder any time she heard it. 6s Rolled: 3/3

The air seems heavy. The mountains ahead look forbidding, what little of them you can see between the trees. There doesn’t seem to be any break in sight, and the forest seems to be growing darker as the clouds roll in. The flashes and booms aren’t very frequent yet, but it is obvious the storm is growing closer. There is a sense of controlled panic. The caravan is in the low point of a pass between taller peaks, and there are tall trees all around. The threat of both flood and lightning strikes will be high if the group can’t find a safe place!

The group was staying together so far, Shina noted with relief. Unfortunately, part of the reason they hadn't broken up, despite the faster pace and nervous pokemon, was because they were in a pass. This path had been worn by many wild pokemon traveling the easiest path between the larger peaks looming around them. The heavy scent of rain on the wind could become a danger if they didn't find somewhere to shelter. While the dip between the mountains was easier for pokemon and people to cross, it could also become a dangerous area if the coming water created a flash flood. Even inches of fast-moving water could be deadly if a person or pokemon broke an ankle this far from civilization. Shina gave Rasha a bit more rein. 6s Rolled: 0/3

Rydia got to her feet and brushed off her bottom. "Yes, I'm okay, thank you for asking. I was just thinking about flowers - tulips, mostly - and then there was this big flash and then I was all 'ahh' and then I fell down and then you came over and oh my gosh I'm babbling again I'm sorry I'll be quiet."The girl lowered her head, blushing profusely.

Alexa nearly fell off Vincent when he moved closer to the other girl and her pokemon. "Whoa Vincent. Quit crowding them." She muttered before smiling at Rydia, "Ha ha.... I don't mind babbling. People tend to do it, especially when nervous. This storm is certainly cause for some nervousness. Of which we may want to get moving again." She waited until the other girl was mounted before getting Vincent to move. "I'm Alexa and this big guy is Vincent."

 Jem would have been happy to keep trotting, but she realized that as the caravan sped up she'd be left in the figurative dust. She rummaged through her pack looking for the item ball for the bike she was given.
"Lets see here... That's Taurus. That's my winter gear. That's food.... Aha, here we are! We have... transportation!" the young woman triumphantly held up the storage device and grinned at her pikachu. Who ignored her as she watched the skies.
"Humph. Spoil-sport." she mumbled as she mounted the bike and began to catch up to the bulk of the party.

As the wind picked up, Anise was glad she has a headscarf to keep her hair in line. A hat would be too likely to blow off, and unattended hair would just keep getting in her way as she tried to look around for a camp site. Unfortunately, mountain passes tended to be short on shelter unless there was a cave nearby, and even then it would have to be a pretty big one to fit everyone. She let Gypsy set her own pace, as much because she didn't want to fall off as because she knew nothing of horse riding, but hoped her pokemon would go as fast as her rider would be able to manage.

Rydia looked up, still blushing. "Yes, but I seem to babble all the time. I don't really mind the rain, it just gives nourishment to the flowers, after all, and they look really pretty after thunderstorms, actually, and I can't wait to see them! Especially tulips, they look really pretty, do you like tulips? I like tulips. They're not my favorite flower, I don't really have a favorite flower, I like them all, but -" She clapped a hand over her mouth for a few seconds before removing it. "Sorry."Remounting Malorne, she smiled. "It's very nice to meet you, Alexa. And you, too, Vincent. My name is Rydia, and this is my friend, Malorne. I met him while I was traveling in Unova -" She paused, as if realizing she was about to ramble. She probably had. "But you probably don't care about that, I'm sorry!"

Alexa smiled back and shook her head. "No need to apologize. Nothing wrong about going on about something you love. As for tulips.... I like them but they're not my favorite flower." She replied while letting Vincent pick the pace and path for them to take. "Nice to meet you too Rydia and Malorne." She said with a smile, "Oh you met him in Unova? One of my brothers traveled there for a long time. I've never been there though. Only here and Ecruteak City in Johto. I caught Vincent here in Zatao when I moved here. I got really lucky being able to catch him since I had no other pokemon at the time." With the wind picking up Alexa's scarf began to whip around. She grabbed the end that wasn't about her neck and began to wind it around so the wind wouldn't carry it away. She was lucky that she was wearing her Banette hat so it wouldn't blow off her head easily.

"Sorry, I apologize a lot... Oh! I'm doing it right now, aren't I? Shut up, Rydia..."Malorne was far too prideful to allow himself to be overtaken by an arcanine, so he picked up the pace a bit as Rydia "Oop."'d in surprise. Regaining her balance upon the sawsbuck's back, Rydia began to speak again. "I've never been to Johto, before. Are there lots of flowers, there?"

Alexa laughed a little at Rydia. "It's fine. I suppose some people are just like that." She said. She paused to think about the question. "Well I guess so. I didn't travel a whole lot in Johto but people had little gardens and I'm sure they grew in the wild." A loud crash of thunder followed shortly after a flash of lighting. Alexa looked around nervously hoping they'd find shelter soon. Vincent looked over to see the sawsbuck was keeping up. His tongue fell out of his mouth and he panted a little. His tail began to wag as he thought that they may get a chance to play, regardless of what the weather was like.1/3

Rydia jumped a bit at the crashing thunder, but somehow remained on the sawsbuck. Hugging Malorne's neck until she could re-situate herself, she nodded. "That makes sense. Everywhere I go, there are people that have gardens. Nothing like where I grew up, but it puts a little beauty into the world, and I think that's wonderful." The girl paused as she eyed the banette hat, sitting back up straight. "You have a really nice hat. Mine is pretty plain - it suits me, I suppose. There's nothing particularly interesting about me." She smiled. "But you seem like a really interesting person, so your hat really fits you." Before she could say any more, the sky was illuminated by a magnificent flash of lightning, and the girl hugged Malorne's neck once again. Malorne gave a condescending look at the arcanine's tongue. "It is nice to see little gardens all over the place. Certainly does make the world a little more beautiful." Alexa replied with a grin, "Thanks. I love this hat. Found it one day after Vincent here lost my old one." She shook her head at what else Rydia said. "Nonsense. It's a lovely hat and you are a lovely person. You are pretty interesting in fact. I, on the other hand, am a pretty boring person majority of the time. Always focused on battling and training." Vincent tilted his head at Malorne's look. His tongue went back into his mouth and his tail slowed it's wag. "Play?" He barked loudly to make sure he would be heard over the thunder.
