Laurie sighed. This was going nowhere. Maybe Colt just didn't care... "Honestly now, Colt..." she said in exasperation, leaning back into her chair. A pretty waitress passed by their table. "...What do you think of that girl?" Laurie asked, gesturing to the waitress.

Colt looked over at the waitress and looked back at Laurie, tilting his head a little. "...Is she...supposed to look pretty? Shes pretty...but...that doesn't really mean anything does it?" He said, unsure of what she was getting at.

Laurie scowled. Was Colt really that dumb about all this?! She stood up abruptly, her chair scraping across the floor loudly. "Sure, I guess not," Laurie spoke in measured tones, not looking him in the eye, "nothing means anything to you anyways..." Laurie bit her bottom lip, not having meant to trail off at the last word. "I... Should get going..."

Laurie paused as Colt reached out to her, thinking maybe he was actually going to do something for once. Seeing him pulling away, she looked down, unable to help but to be a little disappointed. "....Man up... And stop apologizing if you don't even know what's going on..." Laurie muttered, glancing up at Colt. She took a step backwards and then stopped again. "...You're just going to let a girl leave you like this?

Colt gulped and fell to his knees, feeling horrible. "...I...I'm...not....good with this stuff...and...I'm sorry for that...I...I don't really know how to.. fix this...s-so...I'm hoping you won't leave..but..if you don't want to have to deal with me then I'd understand..."

Laurie cringed as Colt fell to his knees, feeling as though her heart was being wrenched. "....Don't..." She sighed. Why was she such a sucker for cute guys like this??? She just couldn't help it. Laurie knelt down beside Colt and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm not going anywhere..." She buried her face into his chest, snuggling close. "Don't let me leave you if you don't want me to..."
