Merope fidgeted uncertainly in front of the wishing tree, his talons clicking on the floor as he stared at the card in his hands. He chewed on his half lip as he thought, torn by indecisiveness. At last he shook his head and scribbled something down, tying it to the tree before retreating in embarrassment.
Dear Wishing Tree: I wish to have some more friends TO SINK SHIPS with From: Merope
Merope moved towards the spinner game, hanging back to watch it and those that spun it.

"Ahahaha I'm hardly a threat." He chuckled, though any thoughts of Mac made him cringe. In fact he avoided saying much else about it. "I'm afraid I have no wishes I want to be granted. I'd rather save them for those that do." He chuckled with a light hearted smile.

Serafina was naturally going to go to the New Years' Party. After all, there might be people doing interesting things she could spy on ... She didn't really have anyone to spend the day with, and in a lot of ways she was okay with that--in others she wasn't, but that wasn't the point--so she might-as-well check in on what others were doing, right?
Fiddling with her dress, Serafina moved past the reaper standing in the doorway and made her way towards the ... oddly unoccupied tables. Curious, Serafina glanced underneath them, trying to see if they were hiding something from her sight.
Nothing.
Huh.
Shrugging, Serafina instead decided to sit herself on the table, swinging her legs above the ground as she looked around. She recognized some of the faces from previous gatherings, or even those House Games from a small while ago, but didn't really know anyone here personally. At least, not yet. It was admittedly still fairly early, wasn't it? The crowd was fairly thin at this point.
But that didn't make them any less interesting when it came to people watching, and her blues flickered over what was happening in front of her.

"How can I refuse, when you asked so nicely?" Amrita had called after Sparrow, for his request to dance.
...Jack wanted to get a handle on his head? The Patchwork only nodded along, understanding that keeping one's head on their shoulders was very important. Though she may have forgotten for the time being that Jack was not a member of the Undead, and that his head was supposed to not be the wandering type.
Amrita looked thoroughly unimpressed at the nickname Lou had given her, but sadly she had none to retort with, and the one she did have wouldn't have made much sense. "...I shouldn't be surprised, and yet..." The ghoul shook her head slowly, sadly, and was thankful for Alex's distraction. Which came with a nudge and a mention of dolls, which didn't help her mood any.
"Mort's dolls are going to be the life of me." She lamented to her fellow Council member, returning the jostle with her own elbow on reflex. "But yeah, so far so good! Fingers crossed, eh?" Even though she had to look up forever, she did cast a smile up at the tall zomboil. "Now, why don't you go dance with your boil, hmm? I think---" If she had more to say it never made it past her lips, as she realized something that Amphi had said. She wheeled towards the other ghoul.
"Wait - your Lou? You two are---but..." She gestured uselessly between the two of them, more surprised by the news than anything. They were dating? Together? What? But he was - and she - what. "--Why? How?!" Sorry Lou, she really was. "Er--but okay? Dnacing, yes. I can dance. L-let's go dance!" She took Amphi's arm and, though still thoroughly baffled and expecting an explanation, headed towards the dance floor.

Angeline was having a meltdown over clock related festivities.
She was so there even if her head was full of pressure from her internal clock having a field day with all of the gears creaking to such a critical point in the year.
And she had no idea where she was.
Again.
----- Shehk was waiting for her date okay.---- Tomoko was also there being Tomoko send help she's being desu.Everybody in this thread okay ---- Sura was hard to miss and was looking for any of her little ladies because being social was important or something.--- Invi hated the new year. That's exactly why he was there, of course.
Even though he might have been plotting suffering.--- Anybody who Pach plays and is missing is somewhere really and would be found if she was quoted to it.

If there was a party then of course Hadiyya was going to be in attendance. There had been a brief spell where she'd been avoiding everyone and everything, but things have been falling together nicely as of late, and it seemed the ghoul was in chipper spirits again. Or at least as chipper as she ever got. She had her phone out as she entered the room, thumbs working as she composed a quick text to her boilfriend. kanth Text to Marosa: Your presence is required at the Student Counsel's New Years party. Come find me, Handsome. When she was finished she stashed the phone away before surveying the room and those that had thus far arrived. A lot of familiar faces, though some new as well. After a moment or two she spotted Tomoko. a friend of a friend that she had head nothing but good things about. Well, she'd wanted to meet more people. Now was a perfect time to start. Wandering over she offered a smile to the shorter ghoul. "Tomoko? I'm Yaya, friends with Seiji and Junko." A henna kissed hand was extended.

The scent of water had drawn Llyr towards the blue skinned boil, looking as vague and out of place as ever in his undersized shirt and oversized pants. He stood beside the other in that awkward much-too-close-for-personal-comfort stage and peered at him through bright blue eyes.
And said absolute nothing.

Barnaby gave a most ungentlemanly snort. "I don't care much for learning new things," he said stubbornly, but it wasn't said out of anger or irritation, the words clipped as though he were merely stating a very obvious fact. He eyed her curiously for a moment longer, and then said, "Wanna go play one of the games or summat?"

All the JOY had been.... suffocating. Annoying. Agsilved had taken a sharp exit on stage left for that, locking herself away from the snow--water. In a delayed reaction form. Why?--in the comfort of her dorm. Going to the New Year's party, however... well. It had been enough motivation to drag herself back out into socializing. Away from her desk, papers and books. She'd even taken the time to put quite a few more braids in her hair, shortening her locks considerably due to the various knots she'd twined the braids in at the back of her skull. It was fun to change things up a little. If only for her own amusement as she slipped into the growing crowd.
The song that blasted into her ears made her head tilt, tail swaying a bit more with the beat. The closer she got to the food tables, the louder the music vibrated through her body. One clawed fingure twirled and played with one of her smaller braids, tugging it over her shoulder as she peered over the offered selection.
Or rather would have, if someone else wasn't already in the middle of scarffing it all down. Her upper lip curled, fangs flashing briefly before she settled. It was time for a new year. Even her people celebrated the end of the old and birth of the new. She had it in her to at least be... civil. Let go of what was about to be the past. "Why take a plate when you can take a whole table?" Her violet gaze shot to and fro over the offending reptilian boil. Dark skin, blue scales. Her interest peaked despite herself, own tail flicking over the floor to see him sporting one of his own. Thick scales. The fins along his head furrowed her brow a little. What was he?
-------------------------------------------------------- Slowly, gradually, Neithan was growing accustomed to getting out and being around others. Walking into the auditorium now didn't make him spark and stiffen quite as much as walking among others had when he'd first awoken within the town. Moving carefully through those gathered, and slipping just past the door, the balrog came to linger by the unoccupied tables. His fiery gaze lingered on them briefly before turning to the groups forming and offered activities. Nothing especially jumped out at him--though he did c**k his head slightly to the tree by the stage--and his wings were tucked close to his back. He could hear familiar voices coming from the pile of pillows, but for the moment...
Golden tattooed arms flexed and crossed over his chest, more lines and knots of gold somewhat visible under his loose cream shirt. With each pound of the music, his brow furrowed just a little more. He wasn't particuarly keen to get closer to the source, whatever it was. It was... not his tastes, apparently. Could he just stand here and watch the whole time? Yes. Yes actually, he could. Wasn't sure what else he'd enjoy doing here.

Oh goodness a pretty ghoul was walking in her direction, is this when she got out of the way and became scarce or whatever it was not-pretty-ghouls did for pretty-ghouls and - flasdfahsdf;kdfaldksf;asdfkha;dlfjaklsfh
By the time Yaya had actually gotten within arm's reach, Tomoko had managed to wind herself up.
"HIYOU'REPRETTYI'MSORRYI'MINTHEWAY" she choked out before realizing that was not what Yaya had said and instead seemed to shrink into her skin at the realization.
"Oh..um..hi.."
Her voice was now perma-quiet.

Shun shrugged lightly at Spinar. He enjoyed music in general, but not all types. But, there was the matter of food. Perhaps he could grab something light, then make his way out. When the two went off to enjoy the party, he placed his hands into his pockets and made his way over to the food table to see what they had there. It looked like they had a fair assortment of different snacks and the like, here.
The reaper grabbed a small plate and went on to pick up a couple of things.

"Ohhhhh, boil, nah, you a cutie," Piper told the stranger as a matter of factly, grinning as she took his hand and firmly shook (and hoped to Shiva it was cold just because he was and not like clammy or something). "No rot's pretty hot to me, dunno about you. Hi, Jory, I'm Piper~"
AND SPEAKING OF CUTIES--hello there, datey mcdatekins.
In all honesty Piper wouldn't have thought Lock would have the nerve to ask anyone out for the dance, let alone her. But then again, clearly she had made an impression as an awesome strong beautiful amazing courageous woman on the camping trip, so she didn't really blame him for being charmed. Plus, hey, now they could all make friends! But most importantly she had a date for the dance which was important in her rise to stardom. Yes.
She took a moment the cover her mouth with her hands and hide the squeal she made over how adorkable that bowtie was. Then almost immediately her eyes flashed to the little gift he was presenting (good boil, offering the Afro Queen even more of his generosity like this), and Piper was absolutely delighted to slide the bracelet on her wrist. "I was about to text you! Ahhh, I love it~" she told him, wondering if taking his hand might still be too much somehow (he looked nervous at any rate) but scooting closer. Turning to Jory, she gestured to her fellow reaper with practiced poise and grandiose-ness. Grandiosity. Grandinimity? "Jory, this is my dance date, Lock. We'll be friends by the end, I just know it!"

It was getting rather chaotic, and then Lou opened his mouth, and Yin tried to keep his shut. His claws however were twitching, itching for battle, not for any slander against himself of course, but for the rather crass way he was talking about and to the ghouls. The only thing that stopped him was that it was a party, one that Alexander had been working hard on, and the fact that the ghouls did not seem to be offended. But he was watching Lou. He was always watching. He was listening to everyone's resolutions, and trying to come up with one of his own, when Miss Amphitrite stated that she would like to dance. With him. He gulped and nodded slightly, only to be saved by Miss Amrita. He owed her. He owed her big time, whether or not she knew it. Instead of focusing on that he finally, belatedly, came up with his resolution. Or two, but who could ever stick with one? "I would very much like to graduate," he admitted. That would require him to actually buckle down and work on his schoolwork, and seek out his mother for additional mentoring so that he would hopefully be a useful member of the workforce after graduation, so it was anyone's guess when that would actually happen. His eyes then slid over to Alexander, and his face heated up slightly as he mumbled "and I would like to make sure the ceremony to go well." If that was even this year. All he really knew at this point was that the actual ceremony was growing out of proportion with every conversation he overheard about it. "I hope everyone's resolution's turn out." Except for Lou's. Lou's could never come true and Yin would be happy.

Rosy tilts her head, curious at Spinar for a moment. Slipping her hand into his, she follows him towards the games. She glance over for a brief second towards the pillows as she swore she saw a familiar tail. Sure enough, there was Tavi. She couldn't help but grin before she she gives Spinar's hand a small squeeze. She could tell something was wrong, he wasn't teasing her, or even trying to pick on her like normal.
Floating just a little off the ground, she pulls her hand away from his so she can wrap both arms around his neck "You know, if you would rather just be somewhere else...we can ditch the party. I promise I won't be upset." she was trying to get him to smile, or even tease her.

Soren preferred isolation. He also preferred the presence of Neru, no one, other horsemen, and miscellaneous plants and animals over the company of students or Halloween citizens. There were a few that were fun to toy with, but overall they were nothing he enjoyed. So far as going to their New Years party, the idea was ludicrous. So why he was there was anyone's guess, but he quickly used height to his advantage to find any sort of familiar face. Horses belonged in herds after all. Brushing past the refreshments table to grab a drink he made his way to Invi, trying to remember what he knew about the Conquestian. If he recalled this one had a preference for students or something, he wasn't really sure, and he wasn't going to stress out over it. He grunted something unintelligible, most likely a greeting, and stood next to the other stallion. Fun. He was obviously having it.
