Pleased that he'd accepted and liked the shirt she had made for him, Soibhan began putting away her sewing supplies, returning them to her room. When she came back out, her arms were piled with blankets, a bedroll, and a spare pillow. Dumping them at his feet, she poked the coals of the dying fire until they kicked out a steady stream of heat.
"I think I've had abou' enough o' bein' awake. G'night, Remi, Beau." She leaned to scratch the dog beneath his collar before giving him a kiss between his ears. Then she turned to the man. "Ye should stay warm enough between the fire an' the blankets, bu' if ye get too cold, my bed is always warm."
She said the last bit with a slight smirk, her eyes glittering, before she disappeared into her room. The door started to close, but never finished, standing open just a touch.
