The last October of the year had begun, and quite frankly, the ghoul had been looking forward to the snow. Maybe even the JOY. The staff exchange programme was a brilliant idea, so much so that the frost demon was considering going on an exchange programme to the Land of Joy herself.
Edel had never really tried her hand at baking, which as it appears, seemed to be quite popular amongst the other students. While she was not particularly fond of sweets, the lesson plan appeared to provide some room for creativity, which piqued her interest. Sliding into the back of the classroom, the ghoul would just be a spectator for now until the class started.Quote: SIGN UP SHEET Ulmuka Knobwalker Catinka Kyrkan Lihua Mathias Helmut Purge Monty Tavi Puella Levi West Jove Alamea Sophie Van Rotte Vanya San Gabriel Efflo Alecto TK Piper Blacke Amarus Rosy Edel

Ruth never really had much confidence in her domestic skills. She could probably boil water and fry an egg but that seemed to be the extent of her knowledge and ability. The prospect of causing mayhem in a class involving heat and molten candy sounded too good to let it pass. So here she was and oh jack there were a lot of students already.
Her grin widened. Partly out of excitement at how chaotic things could become and partly because of the variety of students present. This was going to be interesting, to say the least.Quote: SIGN UP SHEET Ulmuka Knobwalker Catinka Kyrkan Lihua Mathias Helmut Purge Monty Tavi Puella Levi West Jove Alamea Sophie Van Rotte Vanya San Gabriel Efflo Alecto TK Piper Blacke Petro Ithildin Ar'Thieron Trisha Amarus Rosy Edel B. "I like the last part." she referred to part about company. He was the first tikbalang she had met, so she spent a long moment looking him over before turning back over to a different subject. "So what to you think we are going to make?" she liked making things. Hopefully this would turn out a little better than the monster booth. "I hope I can manage to make it taste alright. Usually I just eat everything really fresh..."

Eitri sauntered his way into the baking class, for once wearing his coat on his sleeves and not just tied around his waist. It was cold out and when you spent most of your days working around furnaces and ovens and heat in general, the cold tended to get to you. However, it was warmer in the classroom then it was outside and so the sleeves were dropped and tied back in their normal formation.
It was perhaps unusual for a horseman to be participating in the activities of students; especially activities centered around a human holiday - but baking meant food and women and who was Eitri to deny them of his presence? He signed his name on the sheet, after giving it a quick glance for female names and then took a seat at one of the benches, hands locked behind his head.

It was all so painfully exciting and the ghoul couldn't help herself from bouncing. The two boils before her made her giggle in their antics. "Well hello Tavi!" She grinned. "Well new is new and should stick together, right?" Her voice got hushed as a glint hit them. "Does that mean we can eat her?" Mea's mouth watered at the thought of a rather large and delectable treat and her eyes shifted over to the professor before she was knocked back to her senses.
"OOOOH!" She said, gripping San's badge and pulling over roughly, nearly pulling the boil with it. "I used to go somewhere else before here!" She said thoughtfully and moved in close to both San and Tavi. "Which means you can be here with your good friend there!" There was another nod to Tavi and a grin and she hushed her voice. "What do you think the professor tastes like?" A grin came across her face with sharp teeth showing before she stopped to giggle.
Then it dawned on her as her mind whirled over Tavi's words. Her ears shuddered. "Wait, we're making them? It's not an eating class?" It was almost disappointment as memories of blackened food from any sort, even the simplest from, coming from her hands. She blinked and looked at them, biting her lip. "We can do things together though, right?" Mea questioned, giving a rather pathetic look to the other two.
That was short-lived, however.
It was then that her eyes caught the sight of someone familiar. "'Cuse me!" She said, bounding up and moving over to a preoccupied boil. "TK!!!!!" She shouted, rounding his middle with a forceful hug. "I'm glad, here, you come here and meet my new friends okay!" The petite ghoul had an odd strength when it came to him and she smiled. "And it's good to see you come down here, you can help to." She said, dragging over the boil and nodding to the other two. "This is TK and he's my friend!" She nearly shouted. "And this is Tavi, and this is San and..."
She stopped and stared at a nearby boil, leaning over towards him and staring up at the fire with eyes wide. Her hand had slipped away from TK as she seemed to be enthralled by the light show. Though he didn't seem to be paying her or the others nearby any mind she came really close to him. "You don't burn yourself with that, right?" She asked quietly.
"Oh I'm sorry!" She said a moment later, fidgeting and walks back, holding onto TK's arm. "This is TK, that's San and that's Tavi!" She pointed with a grin before bounding back into her chair, glancing back at the unknown boil. "Are you here to eat too, cause I am!" She turned back to the others. "Er, and to make some, with help though." Another glance went back to her new found friends as she pulled TK down into a chair nearby.
It was a happy occasion after all.

A wry smile was what Petro gave the younger ghoul, "'M gonna be happy'v whatever'm gonna make doesn't give anyone food poisoning." He let his face rest against the back of his hand, "Could be anything, Joy ain't exactly common ingredients. Just keep alert'n watch y'r hands." It was sound advice in Petro's perspective.

Gabby went tumbling off of his seat rather unceremoniously, his legs flailing up in an ugly fashion. He scrambled to get back up in his hair, glaring heatedly at Efflo while he made a mad dash to fix his hair. And his clothes. And his hair. "How dare you-" Efflo wasn't even looking at him. He wasn't even LOOKING at him! Gabby followed his gaze, just in time to see the ghoul's muted, second wave. He lifted his hand and waved back. "That's Ithildin. She kind of worships me. I taught her to stop being such a wuss. Are you going to apologize for that push, or what." He'd said it so flippantly, as if worshiping him was just a fact of life. He was denser than his actual body was.

She had to stop from busting out with insane laughter as Gabby went toes over teakettle and flailing like a small child. She might not have been able to if it hadn't been for the death glare of doom from his partner that practically withered her in her seat. She suddenly seemed to shrink in on herself as she stared at the table in front of her. He looked like he might leap over the tables and hit her and she really didn't want to get into a fight, specially not in all these clothes and in front of everyone. After a minute she peeked back up, offering an apologetic smile. Nio Love Yeah he did such a good job too! sammpai HE'S GONNA KILL ME OH GOD WHAT DID I DO?!

To say that Mayaa was excited would have been an understatement. The ghoul was positively ECSTATIC. Ever since seeing the snow at the Fright Night booth as well as the Frozen Pond a while back, she was all but itching to play it in once more, even if cold, not to mention there were classes with guest profs!
As much as she liked the regular classes and the profs (when she actually remembered to go to them), there was something about guest profs that was really exciting, not to mention this one was a GIANT. SPOOKIE. And she even learned to make spookies. Eating AND making spookies. The two greatest combinations of all time.
Not only that, but the festive lights also put her in a chipper mood and she quickly beelined towards the sign-up sheet, not wasting a moment to scribble her own name down as she glanced over the list. Was there anyone she knew who was here?
Her eyes fell on a certain name as she lit up with glee, and it didn't take her long to locate the fellow harpy.
"VANYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Oh, there was another ghoul with her. Mayaa looked up at the dog demon with eyes wide. "HI!"Quote: SIGN UP SHEET Ulmuka Knobwalker Catinka Kyrkan Lihua Mathias Helmut Purge Monty Tavi Puella Levi West Jove Alamea Sophie Van Rotte Vanya San Gabriel Efflo Alecto TK Piper Blacke Petro Ithildin Ar'Thieron Trisha Amarus Rosy Edel B. Akakios didn't know a lot about this Christmas thing, actually it was closer to zilch, nada, nothing, and... well this was the first time he recalled hearing about it. It had to do with the other Holidays and happiness. Which didn't seem too bad, and well... other than it being a bit cold he didn't dislike the snow? He just had to wear some extra layers and get used to his feet feeling numb. But really that meant hiding inside as soon as he could.
So of course he'd darted into the building upon getting a chance and looked at the sign enough around the growing group of people. Baking or something? Well he didn't know much of anything about that either, so this was a good place to start! At least... if he wanted to pass some test or other. So after spotting the sign up sheet he quickly scrawled what should have been the likeness of his name on it before perking up and moving off to look at the group.
Did he know anyone that was there? It was hard to tell since it meant trying to peer around people, but eventually he did spot another demon he knew and waved to the ghoul cheerily. "Treshaaah!"

Even if it weren't snowing, which Maple simply sadfaced at, it was usually the time of year in which a few extra layers were required. It wasn't so much that the witch minded the cold, but it was still far too chilly for her meek little form. So, thick jacket, scarf and gloves it was and bundled up was how she arrived to the baking class. Not something she was sure why she arrived, her culinary skills, and those similar, were pretty dreadful (as evident with that potions class and a few others). But, it was an optional class presented by those of Christmas. Which she also found dreadfully weird, everyone was just so.... cheerful. And not even for a reason, it was just how they were. Such a different mindset from one so pessimistic.
But, she showed up because it couldn't hurt (it probably would) and signed herself up after she removed the gloves from her hands. Looking around, it seemed there were only a few that the witch actually knew, and they were seeming to be in conversations as it was, so she settled herself somewhere to a side and sat. And grumped a little.Quote: SIGN UP SHEET Ulmuka Knobwalker Catinka Kyrkan Lihua Mathias Helmut Purge Monty Tavi Puella Levi West Jove Alamea Sophie Van Rotte Vanya San Gabriel Efflo Alecto TK Piper Blacke Petro Ithildin Ar'Thieron Trisha Amarus Rosy Edel B. Vanya almost fell off her chair and it took her a few moments of confusion and maybe a little bit of swearing to realise that she wasn't under attack. Her claws retracted and she gently patted the other harpy's head, smiling genuinely down at her. "Mayaa. Why am I not surprised to find you here?" She teased, ruffling the girl's hair a little. "Though I'm glad. Between the three of us maybe I'll be able to taste something delicious," she smiled a little pathetically before straightening up.
"You seem to be in a good mood. But then you're always in a good mood, aren't you?" Had the meatloaf from Monday had any effect on her at all? She was beginning to wonder..

Poison? well then she would have to be careful. She nodded and looked down at her hands a bit when she heard a familiar voice. "Hi Aki, Hi!" she waved the boil over. "Come sit with us. Aki this is Perto, Petro this is Aki, he's my neighbor." She quickly introduced before looking the fluffball over. he was covered in layers but he was missing something... It dawned on her. She grabbed a ribbon from her hair and tied it to his scarf and into a nice bow. "There, now you fit the theme a little more."

Oblivious to the discomfort she might have caused the ghoul, Mayaa only blinked at her, all too happy to see her. "Of course! There's spookies in this class. I love spookies! And I am always happy to see my friends!!"
And then Vanya mentioned something about trying spookies and delicious and Mayaa stared at the ghoul, dumbfounded. Did... did Vanya want to try her cookies?

"I-I will do my very best!" she chirped, feathers poofing up.

The monster horse nodded and offered his hand to the new boil, a small smile on his lips. "Neighbor'n the dorm? Or neighbor from back home?" It sounded like a legitimate question, and Petro didn't think it too personal to ask. Less because of the bow the ghoul tied though it suggested a level of intimacy in Petro's view, and more because it just sounded like something one asked.
Nothing on the tikbalang's face suggested he thought the bow was something to poke fun at, because he genuinely wouldn't think it. Friendly gestures were just that, and he'd been at the school long enough to come to terms with different expressions and levels of affection.
