"Whoa. Hello there." Marcus watched as this figure slinked past him, paying him no heed. It was a slight shock to have been immediately followed in by someone- and to not be noticed was a little strange. From what he knew of magic, he could have easily just entered through a portal. Marcus was probably no longer in Arcadia.

* the creature froze where she was at as she heard a voice that sounded as if it were addressing her directly, then she quickly jumped backwards to hide behind the nearest object and called out cautiously in her native tongue which sounded like nothing more than growls hisses and random syllables jammed together.* hauk iigaosss hreeth?" * which roughly translated to who is there for those that could understand her native tongue. she slowly started to pull out her staff that she mostly used as a walking stick at this point and held it at the ready*

Tristan bellowed as he plunged to the side into a dodge roll, barely avoiding the ghoul as it leapt past him while sweeping its claws in his direction. As he emerged from his tumble, he lifted the fans above his head, trying to regain his balance, but as he stood, the winged creature, which had, unknown to him, taken flight, swept downward. The only thing that kept his head from turning to a bloody mass was his upraised fans, which sparked against its talons. The impact sent Tristan sprawled on the floor yelling in agony as the tremor from the strike went through his fans and into his wrists. He could not keep his hold on one of the fans, and it was sent spiraling across the floor in Marie's direction.
He lay sprawled on his back for a moment, and suddenly noticed the two creatures advancing upon him with alarming speed. His voice reaching a pitch he didn't know he was capable of, he screamed in his panic: "Glaciem!!" He brought his remaining fan downnward and swept it upward in an arch over his body. An incomplete dome of ice several inches thick extended from the floor at his feet to a point just over his head, and a white mist rose around him from the difference in temperature. The two creatures plunged into the dome like a battering ram, not recognizing the obstruction in time, and sent a web of cracks through it.
Tristan rolled to the side and scrambled to his feet again. The two creatures staggered to their own feet and growled. Tristan was becoming frustrated, and he began looking for options other than combat. What around this room could help him, if anything, fend these things off? Was there a way out?

Marcus hadn't cast his linguistics spell on himself in at least a year and hadn't understood a single word. It almost sounded like the person had said 'who goes there?' but he wasn't sure. He readied some magical energy and spoke out, "Uhh, I'm Marcus. I come in peace. I think."

*the creature ( thankfully knowing marcus' language) understood what he had said, but was still very reluctant to reveal herself and leave herself open and defenseless, so she called out again, but this time in a different language to marcus, her voice had a shrill raspy hiss to it* "You ssay you are friendly, I have yet to meet one not of my kind to be friendly to me. prove yoursself and make me believe you are friendly." *the creature stood waiting patiently for a response, hoping that this human was truly friendly, and not just one of the others that despise her kind and deal away with her at the first possible chance.*

 'Time certainly flies when you're lost in the middle of nowhere,' Cassis thought to himself, unsure which direction to head in next, or whether to just give up and fall into darkness, either seemed appealing at the moment. He begrudgingly kept moving forward, what little survival knowledge he had, reminded him to make the tree's he had passed by.
After what seemed like hours, he came upon the strangest of buildings, a giant almost castle, with but one door, covered in dense mists. A sudden chill washed over his body, which was especially strange for the Frost Conjurer, the cold was his life, nothing made him shiver, but something about this place made him worry, but with no other alternative he took a deep breath and made his way for the castle.
With a light rapping at the giant door, a lean figure slowly wrapped his fingers around the cold oak frame, his fingers polished, and perfect. In a smooth, almost liquid, movement Cassis was through the door, his vision darting around the room, focusing from one item to the next, his piercing emerald eyes not lingering on a piece too long.
He quickly noticed a pair standing directly in front of him, conversing in a language that even he didn't understand. A soft crystal flash surrounded his left hand as he raised it, as he took in a deep breath,
"You two! Are you demons, or just tricks brought about by this strange 'house'?" He bellowed, his voicing ringing through the large hallway.

*the creature turned her head towards the door when she heard someone calling out to them her primal instincts burning inside of hef, telling her to go hide, but she knew that hiding would only make any situation worse in a place like this, she stood there for a moment,trying to see why the one calling to them had their arm raised, but even with her keen eyes she could not quite see due to the torchlight in the room hurting her eyes. she called back, with a peculiar response*
"why ask us if we are demonsss? why should one be concerned with demonsss unless one was at least part demon themselves."
*she looked around carefully to look for possible places to hide, in case something happened, she duely noted that there were no good spots in the room for her to have an advantageous position in a fight.*

"When one finds a house of this grandeur in the middle of no where, it is by no accident," Cassis said sighing, letting the chill over his left arm dissipate.
He walked slowly towards the pair taking a deep breath, and taking in the entranceway more. The sheer size of it was impressive, but the odd placement of doors was what kept him guessing. There were merely four, in such a room so large it didn't make sense. He could see spaces for where doors should be, but it was just a blank wall, no paintings, or decorations, just a bare wall.
He came up to one of the empty spaces and placed his hand on it, trying to feel for any residual magic, or even a kind of button to push to maybe unlock the space, but there was nothing,
" Well this place has me perplexed. Have either of you tried any of the four doors yet?"

the creature slowly started edging away from the two humans toward the opposite wall, to inspect what cassis was looking at, but on the opposite side of the room and a safe distance away from three humans. "no, we havent, I jusst arrived here mysssself a few momentsss before you, thiss doess sseem like a very peculiar place though, because this castle wasn't on the mountainside by my tribe's cave last night."

He nodded towards the serpent and kept feeling the panels. He snapped up an ice shard and flicked it against the wall, and still nothing.
"So, this is some Howl's moving castle stuff is it? Awesome, just what I like to hear,"
He grunted his disapproval of the worsening situation. He turned around, his powers reflected back through his eyes,
"Was the entrance covered in tree's for you both as well, or is this thing still moving?"

(my character is a3 foot tall bipedal lizard person known as a kobold btw) the kobold shook her head again in response to the question, but turns her head towards cassis and asks, "howls moving castle? who iss this howl that you sspeak of? and no, from the entrance of the cave of my tribe, it looked like an old half beaten down castle, but this inside made its outer appearance very deceiving" she walked around closely noting anything of interest in her head with a brief nod or a light tap with the tip of her claw. then she turns back towards the humans, "tell me, if you will, what are your namesss?"

{Thank you, I wasn't entirely sure what race you were, just not human lol.} "Cassis, Cassis of the Dark Frost,"
He took another deep breath, and continued to examine the door space. He pushed it, poked it, even froze it a little, and nothing would happen. With his curiosity finally subdued, Cassis made his way down the corridor and came to one of the 'real' doors. He could hear nothing from the one he came up to, but it felt strangely warm. As soon as he opened it, he noticed a figure with two fiendish beings standing beyond him. The man looked panic'd and strained, Cassis lifted his hand and crystal snowflakes began to swirl around his arms,
"I hope for your sake buddy, that this isn't an illusion and THOSE are the good guys," With a single breath Cassis snapped his fingers and shouted, "Gelu Murum!" All warmth was ripped from the room as a giant wall of ice formed between the man and his opponents. As it finished forming Cassis shouted to him, "Quickly! This way! That wall isn't permanent in regular temperatures!"

the kobold quickly moved towards cassis to see who, or what he was calling to inside of the room, and once she got there she peeked into the room from around the corner and saw the two creepy looking figures through the ice and stood there, staring and awestruck, she had never seen such creatures before in her life, but then she realized that she couldnt move, or make sounds, something in the eyes of the creatures, even through the ice, had a parylizing effect on her, she didnt know if it was doing the same to the two humans that were right there as well. the best she could do is muster a tiny whimper from her throat, to try and get attention from cassis to help her, although she was reluctant to let him touch her, let alone any human touch her, but she had no choice in the matter now, her life was possibly in danger, and in her distressed panic, her scales shifted colors from a deep rich blue with flecks of yellow, to a vibrant purple with black patches. she just hoped that cassis would be able to, or be willing to, help her in this situation with another human in danger, which he might have a favored racial connection to, and herself not quite in direct line of danger yet, but still potentially in danger, and herself being some strange reptilian creature from a different world, and had no past positive encounters with humans at all. all she could do is just stand there and hope for the best for her sake.
