Kioda watched the fight before her with wide eyes. She could not believe the struggle that had taken place. There was nothing she would be able to do in a fight like that. The only thing she could do what get in the way. After the dragon had been killed Kioda moved forward. Nuzzling Drake carefully sniffing at the blood on his feathers before turning to Uassae. Erionda's cracking voice was unfamiliar to the feral ysali. She had never heard a two legger cry out like that before. Let alone the battle hardened one as the hybrid.

Hissing she moved closer to the injured Drakien. This was a perfect time to work on her healing spells. The very idea made the Drakein giddy with excitement. Shifting her muzzle under the green and brown drakein. She closed her eyes in attempt to breath healing into the Aeduan.

Erionda pleaded mentally with her companion. Fearful she would loose her best friend. The only being who had been beside her the entire span of her life. The one creature that had raised her. Gave her comfort in the greatest times. Even though Kilian was there, Uassae was like her father, brother, and best friend all in one. She didn't care if she looked weak towards the Orderite boy. She didn't care about him at all. Tears trickled down her face as she burred her head into Uassae's neck. "Please don't leave me Uassae. You're all I have."

Lanzecki wasn't hurt by the words Erionda had spoken. He knew well enough that he was like a child to her. Compared to the loving guidance the Aeduan had given their bonded. It didn't mean she loved him any less. It was just a different kind of love. Just like the love she had for the Oblivionite was different. Maybe he could run back to the small home in the valley. Find Kilian and bring him back here. He would know how to comfort Erionda. His light grey orbs watched Kioda approach with apprehension. Lowering to his belly he made a sad whistling noise. Crawling forward he wrapped himself around Erionda in his own form of hug.

Uassae could feel the deep energy of the Ysali dragon work within him. Giving him the strength in order to activate his own magic. His mind reached out to touch Erionda's lovingly. He hadn't expected so much damage to occur while in the air. He had hoped to tackle it to the ground and that would be that. This was different, opening his crystal blue eyes he could see his bonded's tear streaked face. He was causing her to worry, never a good thing. Closing his eyes again he tried to summon his own skills. It was slow but he knew his healing power was greater than a Ysali's.

The Aiskala hybrid startled at the sound of Mae's voice. She had forgotten he was there in the moment. Her blue and pale violet eye watched the boy as he held out a potion. She gave him a slight smile. Her arm moving out to take the offered item. Uassae was more important to her than her own silly pride. Bringing her hands up to open the container Erionda froze. Uassae's body began to glow a faint cream. Quickly shoving the healing potion back into Mae's hands she yelled her Drakeins name again as he stirred. All the sadness left her face

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Mae was surprised at his own relief as the large Aedaun stirred. He'd never realized how annoying it was to be completely useless in the face of not knowing what was going to happen. He tucked the potion away again, and then reached out to snag onto Darke, pulling him close and giving the feathered Keindred a firm and friendly squeeze of affection. Darke would be all grown up like Uassae by the time Mae reached Erionda's age. They would've been together for a long while, like the two before him surely had been. If he felt so strongly for Darke now, at the start of their adventures, he could only imagine how he'd feel after they'd shared so many experiences together.

The Aiskala Keindred stepped into his embrace, rubbing his nose against Mae's shoulder. He could feel the boy's relief, worry, and wonder through the bond, and he couldn't help but be pleased himself. The Orderite was certainly not known for his friendliness or forgivingness, but he had offered what little he could do to help, anyway. Darke was proud of him. Still, they were sitting in on a very intimate moment. It was probably best to leave these two to their devices for now... The Keindred nudges Mae to his feet, ushering him into the next room.

Once Mae was on his feet, he understood the message and walked through the cavern. The next room was pleasantly warm, after the cold dunk he took into the water. He hadn't noticed before, but he was still quivering from the chilly exposure. Fortunately, only the very edge of his pants were wet, but his boots were not so lucky... Oh well, surely this room would help him warm up. The Orderite glanced around wearily, but couldn't see much through the tangle of spider webs... Surely no dragon would sleep in this place, then...? Mae pushed on hesitantly through the mess.

Kioda turned back at the sound of Lanzecki's cries. Had the Aeduan passed on? No she didn't smell more death behind them then they had already created. She watched puffs of smoke enter the room she currently stood in. Her neck recoiled at the sight. What was going on!? Where they being burned alive in the previous room? As if in answer to her question Lanzecki came out like a rocket. The webs attached to him flying behind like a strange body of open water. Lifting her left front leg as Lanzecki collided with her. Backing away in disgust at the webs and dust that covered the little thing.

Looking up for Erionda, Kioda couldn't help the horrified and puzzled look on her face. What in Abrax was happening to Lanzecki? Seeing Uassae enter behind them all was a great relief to her.

Erionda glanced up at the sound of the Aeduan. Her hopes lowering slightly. It wasn't a Diabi like she had so desperately hoped it would be. In the end she guessed she would have to settle for the Dragon of light. Pulling the rest of the webbing free from Lanzecki's hide she pulled out her sword. Running back towards the caverns entrance where the Hastar stood waiting. Ripping her shield from its resting place the Hybrid tore off towards the dragon. Feathered wings sprouting from her back to aid in her fight. Leaping onto the dragons tail, Erionda was quickly flicked off. That trick had worked so many times before! When did the beasts catch onto it? Pumping her wings in an attempt to keep from hitting the ground hard. Erionda was surprised at just how hard it was to keep her wings moving.

Feet placed firmly on the ground Erionda's sword grew to life with the blue flames of her ice magic. Running forward again she swung hard at the beast. Her arm getting caught in the Dragons mouth. Hissing her fist formed a glove of ice and shards. Aiming for the eye she blinded it on the side. It roared releasing her from it's teeth. Sucking in air through her clenched jaw Erionda took another stab at the beast. Her attacks landing over and over. Leaping back as it swiped at her. Catching her across her calf.

She wasn't one to give up so easily. A few minor wounds were nothing. Circling about with Uassae staying against the wall and Lanzecki clawing at it's rump. Erionda drove her sword into the dragons abdomen.

"Darke speech."
"Mae speech."

Mae groaned as he slipped down to the floor. He could hear Darke's claws scraping against the rocks as he ran to the young Orderite's aid. What had Mae been thinking, rushing up to take on an Aedaun when no one else was yet prepared?! He slipped his muzzle under the boy's hand, leaning up so that his open palm could slip down Darke's back. Mae was slow to rouse. His vision was still dancing from the hit, and smacking into a rock wall hadn't helped any. He slowly reached up to touch the back of his head, finding that his fingers came back red. Darke whimpered worriedly, but Mae patted his nose comfortingly to quiet him as he rose to his feet.

The battle drew to a close, despite how Mae had done little to assist. He dragged himself over to the group, letting Darke claim a single orb before turning to the next room. Who knew what evils lay beyond...? As far as Mae knew, there weren't many dragons stronger than an Aedaun, but if things kept up like this, he certainly couldn't handle stronger, anyway. Despite the notion, he trudged on. He was sure Kioda and Erionda would join him once they'd completed their trade, if they were going through with it at all.

Mae was relieved to find that the next cave held no dragon, only a chest! There was treasure at the end of this tunnel! Brightening, the boy grinned and ran towards the little box.
