I like the Gotham City equivalent for Durem. The armor thing is more Barton's deal.
Isle de Gambino would probably have private security instead of a public department.
I'm at a loss about Aekea though. Maybe they just don't have one.

I completely forgot about the robots, but I think they'd be more suited for service-y jobs that don't involve potential violence. Janitor bots, sales bots, etc.

Probably. Bots doing most of Aekean jobs in general would explain why the place looks like it's been eaten inside out by poverty. Nobody has to pay a robot to make burgers, install machine parts, or process paperwork for instance.

that's right. the only industries that would be making any money are the ones in technology and engineering, and even those would be severely deflated if there was competition.

I LOVE the spoof of Gotham City idea! Since there is no clear definition of what the Gaian Police are like I'd love it if we could use that (I love Batman so it would be pretty easy, plus I enjoy being lazy lol). If that's something you guy would like to go with too it gave me an idea how I could revise Rosemary's Captain and her partner. I like the robot idea too.
Gaia canon would probably make the police extremely incompetent if not just nonexistant, considering all the wacky bullshit that goes on in the comics with nobody to answer for it.
Hence the need to fill in the gap ourselves, because it's doubtful that towns with mob activity, lots of tourism, or lots of poverty would be left unchecked.

The casinos would obviously have some seriously tough (if not the best) private security.
Swimsuit-donning Baywatch-esque cops and Hasselhoff lookalikes could be a tourism stunt, with relevant TV shows airing across Gaia. They're pretty competent, but their work is limited to the beaches and the shops/'plaza'.
