Kari sat down a the threading table, hoping to thread the needle as well as all her other times...
Something about this thread stumped her. No matter how many times she tried, the thread just wouldn't go through the hole. She felt embarrassed when a hand was placed on her head in a silent admission that she'd failed.

Trying to thread the needle, Kari must have gotten a frayed thread. She was able to eventually get it through the hole, but it took much more effort than it should have. LOLTERNATIVE May I have the Inkjar Fruit, please (or Ship contract)? sn: Myouki

Just as she'd thought, her lucky streak had run out. She'd only guessed wrong by one, but it was still one too many to count as a win.

In the lieu of waiting for a response from AJ, Maple had ventured from the Monster dorm's booth (or perhaps was still there in a weird timey whimey happenstance). Taking a pause along the way to survey what each of the other stalls would hold, the little witch oddly found herself at the Sewing Club booth. The oddity because it was yet another craft that had never gone too well for her, like most things. But like the most, one single failure strayed her from further attempts. Well, maybe away from the watchful eyes of her mother, things wouldn't go terribly. Hahaa... haha.
Maple found herself venturing towards the booth anyways with a little sag in her step and a weary eye. And picked up the needle to thread it, her chocolate brown eyes looking upon the small thing with a little bit of dread before she plucked the thing string from the table and closed an eye to focus. Much to her surprise (and thankfully she didn't drop it soon after), the thread went through the tiny hole without much difficulty. Her mother had always needed to use one of those threader things to get it through, and the last time... well. Maple stared at it and then held it up to Sophie. ಠ_ಠ!! Wait, was she getting a high five? Oh.. okay....lolternative can I get this guy?  sn: chirigami

Thread the NeedleLihua had decided that she might join the sewing club. She wanted to give them a chance. At first the idea of joing a club and beind people had made her want to scream and run for the hills but she really liked sewing and found iy comforting. She looked over at Sophie and saw tjat Sophie was getting frustrated Lihua threaded the needle as fast as she could. Thread the NeedleEachann had heard whispers of a new sewing club tickling his ears. He approached the booth slowly and snorted, shaking his head a little. He took off his gloved, tucking them into the belt of his pants and grabbed a needle and thread. If I can manage this, he thought to himself, maybe I can sew?He attempted to thread the needle... and failed horribly. Quote: 1-25: Er.. You take a long time. Way too long. Sophie hands you something she just finished sewing because she feels sorry for you. She pats you on the head and tells you maybe you'll do better next time. You win an IC prize! He frowned a little, putting down the thread and needle in defeat. Maybe he would try again later? He looked up in time to see Sophie handing him a rather awesome looking jacket which he took with a huge smile on his face, immediately slipping it on. He pulled the front tight around him, grinning like an excited scareling, and took a look at the other things on the booth.

Maple then gave a weary eye to the buttons, and decided to try to guess their numbers. Following Logic, she tried to count a few of them in a given area and then tried to deduce the amount of those in the square area of the jar.
But that didn't seem to work, but she was only a little off. Still, she found her sad little frown and went on to see what else the booth had to offer.

Maple stared at the totes for a moment, contemplating. Well, it could service as a nice new bag to carry books in, right? The witch nibbled on her lower lip for a moment before she took a place at the table and reached for a paper to make a sketch.
She didn't get much of a good reaction from the undead ghoul running the booth, not like with the threading game. Perhaps her sketches.. were really that boring.

Then she eyed the machine she was supposed to use, and worry filled her. In her limited experience, she had never used one of the machines to do any sort of sewing and her mother was more formally trained to do everything in hand .. and well, spells. Which was how she meant to teach her eldest daughter. Well....
But even for a first time, and uneven stitches, the bag seemed to hold together rather well. Maybe had gone with the striped colored fabric of the Reaper Dorm and decided not to include any patches. Nice and simple, something she wouldn't mess up. Because she probably would have accidently set the thing on fire if she tried that satin stitch to get the patches properly in place, or messed up the tension or broke several needles or something.
Sophie thankfully fixed any out of place stitches that might have come up in her inspection. No, there was no fire, those results lied! It was fine, just a little misshapen, but would be alright to take books around in. For her efforts, Maple took one of those pretty jackets. It wasn't exactly her style, but it was a really nice item to display her dorm pride in.
She gave a small little thank you to those in the booth before she went on her way.
