JJ watched as the boy's power lashed out. he was mildly impressed that he wasn't attacked, or at least had something thrown at him. the picture's being spared didn't miss his notice either. "i brought you here to show you what became of your father. it seems his death has had quite the effect on you. you believed it to be unjust, but now you know why he died. you also know what you have come from and that you have something to prove. prove to me you are better than him, prove you can walk out of here and make something good from all of this s**t. if someone could do it, it's you with your powers."

JJ watched the boy over use his power, he was putting out too much for simple tasks like fading a photo. with training, this would never happen. he was just using raw power, which took a lot more. he would learn the enchantments to channel that power and once he had the enchantments perfected to the point they were engraved into is mind and body, he would be able to perform the magic without them. it would take time, and work, but by the time he finished his training, he would be a powerful sorcerer.JJ followed the boy out and stopped when he did. a wave of his hand was all it took to crush the home and the lab along with it. it was no longer needed for evidence and was dangerous for the public around, anyways. he soon there was nothing left, just a hole in the ground where the cellar had been. JJ put his hands in his pockets and walked past the boy, speaking without looking at him. "your name?"

JJ nodded, walking in silence alongside the boy as they went back to the castle. no one stopped or bothered them, he glared if they came near and they quickly hurried away. he didn't lead Demitri to the lab, instead he took him up to their rooms and stopped outside of the boy's, "you're useless today. rest, heal and we shall begin your training tomorrow." he turned and head for his lab, but stopped at the end of the hall, "eat as well. you need to build up the energy you used up today, so make sure it's a big meal. understood?"

JJ froze as arms wrapped around him. he looked down at the boy as he whispered his thanks and hurried away. "Strange-" he shook his head, a bit uncomfortable with what had just happened. he couldn't remember the last time he'd been touched. even when fighting, the likely hood that someone got close enough to actually touch him was almost nothing. he rolled his shoulders uncomfortably, the phantom ring of warmth still teasing his middle, as if the boy where still there. "Stupid," he muttered as he got to work on his neglected experiments.

Amy knocked on the apprentice's door and waited for a call before entering. she smiled at him and placed his tray on the same table as before. "Good afternoon, sir." she was glad he was safe, she'd been worried when he had disappeared, not that she blamed him for running, but he seemed such a lost child. it made her maternal instincts kick in a bit and want to take care of him. "i have your lunch, made it big since you didn't have breakfast. and here, your clothing came in." she offered the package to the boy, wondering how he would react to his very own clothes.

Amy's eyes widened at the boy's words, but she kept her smile in place. "I see," she said softly as she put down the package. she walked to the boy and looked him in the eyes before carefully hugging him, "of course i don't blame you. he died many, many years ago, back when you were still a child." she pulled away and cupped his cheeks, "i'm glad you found yourself a good Master. he's a bit harsh, but he's good at what he does. if anyone can guarantee you'll grow up just fine, it's him. now," she stepped away, "eat your lunch and look at your new clothing, hm? i've work to do."

JJ was leaning against the wall, a book in his hand as he read, waiting for the boy. after the day before he was willing to give him five minutes extra to come out, but no more than five. he came hurrying out at 8:01, toast in his mouth. JJ closed the book and shook his head, "hurry up and eat that, you will need to wash your hands before going to the lab. there are dangerous chemicals in it, so you need to be careful." he waited Demitri to finish and wash his hands before leading the way to the lab, "we will spend half the day in the lab and half working on spells. you have the power, now we have to channel it so you don't exhaust yourself so quickly."

"You will be working on making a proper shampoo and soap, i expect proper results this time. i was leaniant last time, i will not be so again. I shall be working on a cure for Pneumonia, we've lost too many children these past winters." he opened the lab door with a wave of his hand before pausing and looking at Demitri, "when you prove capable, i'll have the doors recognize you, until then you are to not come here alone. the wards on the doors will think you trying to break in and lock you in a separate dimension that i check once a week, if i remember." he walked into the lab and pointed to the boy's table, get to work. do it a bit more carefully this time, don't rush." he went to his table and checked the results of his most resent experiment, cursing when he saw it was a failure.

JJ was finishing his third round of experiments, mixing a compound that had explosive tendencies if not done exactly right, when the boy shouted out his happy announcement. His hand nearly slipped, which could have been disastrous, but he managed to stay his hand. "Bring them over here," he instructed, placing the compound into the beaker to let it take effect while he looked. he smelled the soap and shampoo first before swirling it in their beakers and finally putting on a glove and pouring a small amount onto his hand. he swirled it between his fingers before nodding, "You can start using this in the bath instead of mine. whenever you run low, you will make yourself some more." he handed the vials back and paused, "a query, did you make your lavender because that is the scent of my own, or do you simply like lavender?"
