There seemed to be something furthur out on the small pond. Near the deeper end. As Mei took a step out on the ice to get to it a cracking sound came from under her foot and she took a step back onto the edge.
She would...come back when the ice was perhaps a bit more frozen.

Tavi pulled excitedly at San, dragging him to the frozen booth with a wide grin. When he seen a few others venturing out onto the ice he followed suit, looking over the idea of the game before attempting it. "Don't worry San, I'll get us On-" Oops. He had clearly spoken to soon, as soon as he stepped out something brushed his leg and sent him toppling to his bottom on the ice. "Owwwww." That smarted. Pouting up he glances back to San to see how the other boil was fairing, and to see if he had seen him fall.

Being dragged over to the next game, he watched as Tavi fish for a prize but only to see him fall over. "Tavi!" San was worried for his friend if he had hurt himself. From the background he could hear some laughter and he quickly assumed that it must be some little boil or ghoul laughing at them. It angered the Rakshasa that it made him clearly forget about a certain something that is black and orange slipping on by him. The sensation made him shiver and he had also slipped and fell on some of the cold water; causing a bit of a tremor.

Tavi pouted and flattened his ears to his head when he heard the laughter, grumping up he hissed at those that dared to laugh at them. Shuffling to his feet he moved to try and help up San, after which he shook his head. "We aren't so good at this huh, " Giggling he smiles brightly though and promises with a thumb pushed into his own chest, "lets try something else to get one! Ok!" Bouncing over to another game at the booth he pulls up a pole and some bait, taking a moment to work it on and then glancing to see if San followed him to try and fish.

San winced in pain from the fall as his head made contact to the ground. He was growling in anger on the little brat that was laughing at them. His bright red eyes looked up to see that Tavi was on his feet already and took his help and idea too on trying something else to win a fish. The Rakshasa slowly stood up and also slowly walk up to the ice fishing game in trying to get his bait ready. But as he eyed the shrimp and line, he stared on how tiny they are in his hands. Already he believes that it won't be good as he tried to tie the bait up without crushing it. It was really annoying him! And then the shrimp pop out of his hands and fell in the water leaving San to only stare at it. ". . . I don't think this game is for me . . ." He said as he looked over to Tavi and stepping to one side to give him some room to play.

Tavi watched as the Rakshasa tried to bait the hook, it was kind of funny. Holding back a giggle he simply grinned at his friend then softly smiled to him with a nod when the shrimp popped free and San gave up. "Aw, ok but if you don't want to be bored you can play that other game while I fish?" He tilted his head, smile growing before he cast out into the water. Wiggling in place he tried to get comfy figuring it would take awhile to get a nibble, so it was surprising when right off the bat a bite pulled at his line. "Sannn! Saaaan I got something!" He all but squealed and tugged the pole up, reeling it in or trying to but the pom was putting up a good fight.

Taking his advice, San tried to play the last game there was which is to snatch on the rare colored goldfish swimming around. He stared intently at the water to see if he can find one popping out of the water and with all of his waiting there was finally one! But the goldfish pom seemed to almost die of fright when he saw the giant dark hand reaching towards it and quickly dove back under water; leaving San to just sigh at his luck. "I think I'm done here . . ." He said and he looked over to see Tavi who happened to catch something which actually got him a little excited for the game. "Keep your hands steady Tavi."

Hearing San's call to him he stick his tongue out the side of his mouth and steadied his hands. Pulling and reeling as best he could as the pom fought against being pulled to the surface. Groaning at the resistance he gave one last big pull and tugged the line and pom up. The pom popping out of the water and landing right into his hands. "Ahhhh! It's amazing!" He cheered, dancing around with it and then turning to present it proudly to San. "San look! What should we name him!" He beamed and quickly return the pole to the booth before taking the mini over to San for inspection.
The thrill of wining sending him into giggles, and making him want to play more. "Hee. Do you want to hold him while I play the last game? " He smiles up to San and holds the mini out happily.

Well, he was glad that one of them won as he smiled softly on his excited Tavi was in winning himself a goldfish. "Congrats on fishing him up." Another name . . . San has no idea what to name it but he has to think of something soon seeing the kitsune is ready to play another game of it. "I'll think of a name as you play . . ." He held on to his prize as he watched him play.

"Ok deal!" He crackled and watched San for a moment more before bouncing off to try and fish up the rarer mini. This was exciting, so much fun and even more so now that his friend was here with him. Glancing over his shoulder he grinned wide at San and really hoped the other boil was having a good time. It would be great if he decided he liked the academy and wanted to join. Then they could have more adventures! Squirming with joy at his own thoughts he plunged his hands in overeagerly and ended up scaring the pom further into the deep. "Aww sludgesticks!" Frowning he poutily made his way back towards his friend. "Hmhp. Any names? " He giggled once then rubbed his chin, thinking over a place where they could visit next. A dorm booth sounded good but which one, "where should we go next? Undead booth? Monster boooth, or?"

Lycania looked around curiously, it certainly was a busy place and the booth looked interesting. Lyca had been wandering around just to get the feel of the place and the snow had caught her eyes. She hadn't seen snow in a long time; fake or real snow. "Hello?-oh lure a pom.. huh sounds like fun." She looked left and right intrigued bouncing on the tip of her claws. Maybe the person went on a break or something. OOooh a sign. "Sounds like my kinda thing!" Looking downward her smiling face beamed back at her. This would require patience...hopefully she that and luck too. Lyca flexed her hands and got into position.

How could she not notice a snow covered booth? It stuck out like a sore thumb! Scarlett scurried over and oogled the snow. "Wowowowowow," she squealed. You sure didn't see it every day. The only time she had gotten to even peek at it was when a sister had business with some sort of frost demon.
Quickly, she scooped a little in her finger and turned around. "Hmmm," she hummed to herself while looking at it begin to melt. Before it was all gone, she popped her finger in her mouth and ate the snow. She heard you could do that kinda thing! She wasn't exactly being sneaky, but she hoped no one saw her. Well, that would just be awkward for the Reaper.
The ghoul smacked her lips and looked down the pond by the booth. Well this doesn't even taste like anyth-- !!! What was that? A goldfish peeking up and it was looking right at her! Had it just seen her eat that snow?
Scarlett crouched as quick as she could and reached for the little pom. No one can know, she thought with a deadly serious face before breaking out into a giggle. "C'mere you!"
Sadly the little pom was quicker and escaped her grasp. "Darn it!" Scarlett sat on her bum and pouted.

Clara was hanging out near the back, avoiding the festivities, when she thought she smelled fish. Upon further inspection, she saw a booth covered in snow, and sure enough, fish poms. She avoided the intimidating boil who ran the booth and immediately walked up to the crack, revealing glowing waters that were the result of the poms lurking below the ice.
Choosing to confront the poms over confronting the librarian, Clara approached the crack. As she got closer, she swore she heard laughter. She tried to identify the source of the laughter but fell as something hit her, into the cold, icy waters.
Oh, how she hated water.
