After her cheer, Abbi couldn't watch. Since she had ended up standing alone by the ropes she didn't feel the need to bother with what anyone thought of her crouched down, hands plastered over her eyes and a small mumbling stream of "I can't watch, oh gosh, I can't watch" leaving her anytime any sort of clashing noise reached her ears. She was getting too nervous for Jack, too worried that he would trip at the last second that she just couldn't bear to see him lose. So she didn't. After a bit the noise seemed to ebb until there wasn't any sound of a fight. One violet eye peeked out between fingers and a second later Abbi was up on jumping feet, cheering wildly. Both hands flailed through the air as she shouted her pride at her friend's win, no longer mindful of the gusty wind that was practically battering her around. Patient enough to tap out a dance, Abbi waited for Jack to make it over to the sidelines before she darted over to him. He seemed intent on the group that had scattered and since the teen had sort of almost been a part of it earlier, she could conceive of no reason not to rejoin. With a shout of joy she rushed over to Nevada and Jack, jumping up and down frantically in a wide circle around the two. "You did it you did it you diiiiidddd iiittttt!" Cheering the whole way, Abbi seemed unaware of Nevada's harsh attitude. All glee and smiles, the teen flashed her a smile before she threw her hands around in excitement. "How's your dude? What was his name? Gawain? Is he happy I bet he is aawww yay Jack!"

It hurt to be there: it hurt to hear Gale's cold voice, feel Nevada's masked anger, both jarring against Abbi's exuberance and Finn's dry argumenting. All of it suddenly felt like it was too much, and so Stormy was relieved to be tugged away; the feelings would still linger inside, sadly, but it was better than standing there and absorbing it anyway as she would have done had Gale not taken her wrist. She felt Jack's gaze on her as if waiting for her to say something to him, but all she managed was a quiet, "Okay. See you there," to Nevada before she turned and walked with Gale.
She did not know what to say to him, worried this would throw his concentration off, that he was angry with her for not saying something before. All she could think to do was to keep close and squeeze his hand and rub her thumb against his fingers in hopes one of them could stop feeling so icy. Her other hand, hidden in a raincoat pocket, was curled so that her nails embedded into her palm painfully; maybe the pain she felt on the inside could be funneled out like that.
Thane's soft growl reminded her that ideas like that were a very slippery slope
------
He watched the pair go with an unreadable look before running a hand through his hair and sighing. In a rare moment of appreciation, he noted the trio's presence with a half smile: Abbi babbling excitedly like the puppy she was, some of what Finn said having been brought on the wind as he had come over (in their insult fights he often forgotten that they were, in fact, friends), Fini's funny little idea of thinking shouting would make him grow a full conscience. "She wasn't a lady," Jack argued with a shrug, though his body hadn't turned to address the Sun hunter at the time: he was still intent on Nevada.
And her less than inviting aura. Sigh.
Making the "one moment" motion, Jack turned to Abbi with an amused look. "Owain," he corrected her, reaching down to ruffle her hair in a rare display of affection. "He's very happy; I think he found a Paramore song in my head because now he's singing crushcrushcrush over and over again."
Finn received a brief, odd look, and what might have been a slight nod. Bro. Whether he meant those words or not, it had given Jack pause to consider the Moon hunter.
Then, finally, Nevada.
On the inside his temper spiked, not because she was now disagreeing with him when things had been going along swimmingly (though that was part of it), but more because all it took was bringing up the past and suddenly that was soured for her? Really? Considering how she hadn't known before, he supposed the secrecy was a little disingenuous (and admittedly their first encounter had more than a little bit of acting), but it was clear Lina hadn't been straight with her either; she didn't know the whole story.
But it wouldn't be smart to push his luck. Not with an angry hunter, not with a weak shield and a winded body, even though there were witnesses. "Something tells me you're not in the mood," he answered smoothly, his smile reappearing like it was just another little joke between them. "I imagine you aren't pleased with the secrecy either." No apologies, no explanations, not here in the crowd; for all of Jack's sociable antics in the tournament, he was a private person at heart. Hopefully after his final fight he could catch her.

She waited for his interaction with Abbi to be over, keeping the smile on her face if not for the girl's sake. It widened when he didn't come closer, so she went to him. Sliding her hand up his chest, around his neck to bring him closer to her. A fury like no other flowed through her, but her calmness was brought on by the mistakes she had done against Finn.
"Smart move." The huntress tilted her head up, "I don't like being the fool. Ever. Stormy is just as guilty but I can forgive her for anything. Everything." Her voice remained calm....distant and cool. So unlike the girl who easily offered hugs and cuddles at the same time.
"I don't like being part of one of your games or conquest either Jack." She drew his name out, releasing, "And fortunately for you..." Her gaze landed on Finn, "You didn't ask to be put here, thanks to your friends words. I told you my room number? You saw Lina...Stormy before hand, You knew..." Her voice came out vicious, "You knew I was her roommate. And yet you still decided to flirt with me....It'd've been great for you huh? A slap to Stormy to ******** her best friend..." God damn, she shouldn't be ******** hurt over this.
Her hand came up to motion that he didn't come closer before smiling again. "So this flirtation, this game you've been playing right now. It ends. And be lucky that I'm already feeling guilty for taking my anger out on the wrong person as well as your survival instincts." She turned on her heel, "I'd appreciate if you didn't come near me again or Stormy or Gale." She hissed, "Because it'll get much worse if you do."
It was easy to walk away at least. She held her cool, let it out. ********, she needed to go do something. Play basketball, Dance...Beat the s**t out of a dummy.

Chel stared at the foursome.
What the ******** was going on?
O v Oa ...
Chelsea decided now was a good time to sidle up to Abbi and whisper, "Do you know what just happened?"

"Owain! I knew that!" The teen giggled at to have her hair ruffled, even if it meant she'd have to flatten out her hair from his hand, but she didn't mind. It was nice to be doted on for once, and she jumped back into the air to shout at him some more. "That's a great song! I'm glad he likes them they're a good band and--" She had wanted to list more reasons why that was probably one of her favorite bands, but Nevada intercepted the conversation first. Surprised, Abbi took a step back. Oh man her hand was on his chest... She took two more steps back. Wow and they were really close and they looked kind of intimate and she took three away. That far back she couldn't hear anything, her eyes wide as she jumped to hear Chelsea's voice. "N-no but uh we should um w-we should probably l-leave..." She stammered out, turning away from the scene. This wasn't the place for her and while it wasn't fair that she didn't know what was going on, she didn't want to push it either. With one last glance and timid wave given to Finn, Abbi looped her arm with Chelsea's and scurried off as fast as was possible with another person in tow.
