Pale eyes blinked, expression unchanged. She didn't understand his comment, which was probably for the best. To her it just meant it wasn't the first time he'd scrubbed himself silly. Which was, for the time being, a much kinder thing to believe.

What followed only seemed to enforce her innocent assumption. "Probably wise not to go so long between showers then, hmm?"

Once she'd finished braiding her hair she pulled a band from her wrist and tied he end off, tossing it back over her shoulder before folding her hands over her stomach. "I'm nervous about the next match up. Hell, I'm nervous about the rest of the tournament." Not without reason, of course.

"And rolling around in the mud," she added as an afterthought.

She lifted a hand so the tips of her fingers could trail along the inside of his palm, sorely tempted to catch hold of that hand and hold onto it. "Yeah, it's not so much the crowd, though I guess that's a part of it. Just living up to expectations." Her good shoulder rolled in a shrug, lips twisting to one side.

Then she smiled, soft and somehow mischievous at the same time. "I could do with a little luck." She bit the inside of her lip. "Maybe a good luck kiss?"

Bite me

"Oh." A quick flicker of disappointment had her smile wilting around the edges, and she looked down at the water circling the drain. "If you say so."

<Far be it for me to interfere, maybe he's right. Do you really need distractions going into your next battle?>

She frowned, exhaling sharply, then lifted her head again to peg him with a commanding sort of look. "But I'm holding you to that." One small finger poked his chest before she slipped past him, through the water, and out of the shower stall completely.

There was a notable lack of towels, what with the power being out and all. "We're gunna have to air dry."
