He had expected maybe some rolled eyes, or some pushing or perhaps even some poking or prodding. But although Ian was all for physical contact, he could not really remember the last time he'd had a real hug. He'd sort of hugged Nevada, except not really - more like a one-armed squeeze of her shoulders.
That and the noogie was just so unfair.
Ian let out a surprised yelp, floundering, and twisted his head beneath Shiloh's ministrations. "This wasn't exactly what I meant when I said hands-on experience was better!" he squawked, attempting to push him away, but at the same time he was grinning, childishly amused laughter echoing in his ears.
"You're messing up my perfect hair," Ian stage whispered, one hand around Shiloh's wrist, the other attempting to remove the hand that was currently noogie-ifying his head.

“Why not? It’s totally hands-on, that’s what you wanted, right?” Shiloh noogied him a bit more, just for good measure, then let go him. He scooted over on the bed, extracting himself from Ian’s grasp, and staring at him with a grin. “You’ve been playing with your hair this whole time, I was only finishing what you started. Besides, that’s a good look on you,” he giggled, staring at the mess he’d made. But he was happy Ian had said friends, and hopeful because of it. He liked Ian, and if the man could just learn to like himself, Shiloh would be even happier.

Ian released Shiloh's fingers with a snort of laughter, flipping his head from side to side. Sweeping the messy dark locks back with a hand, he gave Shiloh a pointed look. "I haven't been playing with my hair," he said indignantly. "I may have on occassion been fiddling with it, but I do it out of habit, okay."
He flopped back onto the bed and turned his head towards Shiloh again, and his cheeks were slightly flushed, but he looked somewhat pleased all the same, hi smile gentle.
"Thank you, by the way," he said.

“You were definitely playing with your hair, liar,” Shiloh countered, making a childish face at him. He ran his hand through his own hair, shifting his ponytail a little before settling his hands back onto the bed, leaning back. “Don’t mention it,” he said easily. “Thanks for the chocolate.”

Ian stuck out his tongue, realizing belatedly that Shiloh's mannerisms were starting to rub off on him. Reaching out, he tugged at a lock of the other's hair, twirling a slightly crimped strand of pink hair between his fingers with a smile.
"Like you're any better," he said, and let go, waving a hand. "Okay so next time," Ian said with an easy grin. "I'll take you to a club and teach you all about dancing, and you can teach me something of yours. But that's only if you behave," he added sternly, and promptly smushed the teeshirt into Shiloh's face again as though leading by brilliant example.
Ian pushed himself a little upwards. "I should probably get going," he said with a sigh. "I have duty...at some point in time. Probably like twenty minutes ago."

Shiloh smiled when Ian lifted a strand of his hair, then squirmed out of the man’s reach. “I don’t know how you plan on taking me to a club around here, I’ll be waiting a long time for next time,” he said, voice muffled through the t-shirt. “Besides, I think my rebellious streak was just about to hit, so no can do on the behaving.” His expression was playful, and he couldn’t help but chuckle. When Ian moved to go, Shiloh nodded, and held up his shirt. “Here, don’t forget this… Unless you were planning on keeping mine?”

He pointed a finger back at Shiloh. "Oh ye of little faith," Ian quipped, and smirked. "I'll either find a club off the island, make a club on the island, or improvise, and I'm pretty sure it'll most likely be the latter."
The smirk widened slightly at the last comment, but Ian said nothing, merely looked amused. A little bit reluctantly, he pushed himself to his feet, brushing away a few of the wrinkles in his jeans and took a step towards the door, turning around when he heard Shiloh speak.
A smile curved Ian's lips upwards. "You keep it," he said, and plucked at the shirt he was currently wearing. "We'll have a temporary trade for now."
A pause.
"But don't spill anything on it."

“Sure hope you’re the creative type,” he laughed. He hadn’t expected Ian to actually keep his shirt, but if that’s what he wanted, Shiloh didn’t mind. It seemed like a fair trade, after all. He waved Ian out the door, not moving from the bed. “Yeah, yeah, I’ll take care of it,” he promised, grinning. “Now get lost, before you get into trouble.”
