He laughed too, glad that the awkward tension between the two of them was gone. Or, at least, not as tangible.
He held her a little closer as she leaned in, taking comfort in her presence. With her around, he didn't feel as troubled at the fact that Chester wasn't around, or that his memory had so many gaping holes in them, and the ones that he did remember brought little comfort.
He flushed when she kissed his cheek, but was pleased at the warmth it left. Everything about her was warm, and even the unpleasant memories... well, he didn't remember her in them, so it was all good. All that would remain would be happy memories with her, and he was ok with this.
Her question was given a grin.
"Well, I had been planning on seeing you sometime today anyways, and... I hadn't really planned on anything after, so I don't see why not."

Sherry blinked as a grin grew on her own face. Her eyes were a little puffy, she noted. Not that she cared too much right then. The numb, hollow cold in her chest had lessened a little. Pushed away by the warm contentment she was feeling. Not to mention the happiness that came love, that was doing a fair bit warming her heart, too. "Good," she said. "Then we can spend a little bit of time talking and getting to know one another. Or, we can try and scrounge up some decent food. Or... both or something." She would have been content to just sit in the same room all evening, but that was probably weird so she didn't say it.

He smiled, a hand brushing against her cheek.
"Both of those sound good." The food, not so much, but, well, necessities were necessities.
"...Actually, I have an idea how we can work up an appetite. It'll help the food go down easier and we can talk more after."GrnGriff This is a terrible tag :T

She sighed. Yep. Warm and content and- she blushed a little harder. "Do you now?" She tried to cover that fluster, and Armagnac chuckled. Surely he meant...not that.

... Oh.
His own face flushed as he realized what it could have been interpreted as. He liked her yes, but he really just met her the day before for crying out loud.
"Oh, no, no, I didn't mean it like THAT, I uh..."
Oh great, now he made everything awkward.
"I meant, um. A spar. I could use the practice, and Mark said I had to train myself, so... yah."

Oh thank goodness. Sherry averted her gaze and let out a little laugh. "I, uh, knew that. About you not meaning..." She knew he hadn't meant it, and the fact that her mind tried to take that way... she was definitely a little embarrassed. It would have been to soon regardless of everything, and with her current emotional state... She inhaled and looked at him. "Yes. A spar sounds great. Let me, um, put on some shoes and we can go do that."
She smiled, then stepped away from him. "You are my favorite sparring partner, you know," she said, picking up her socks.

He laughed and waited.
"I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure you were my favourite too." Not that... he'd remember anything, but it seemed like the right thing to say at the time.
"Oh, and, uh, don't go easy on me. Fight me how you normally would any person." If he needed to get back into shape, he needed all the help he could get, and he couldn't let anyone go easy on him.

The twinge of sadness that hit her when he talked old favorites was entirely unbidden. It was her fault, she'd brought it up. The wound was just too fresh though. So she laughed again. "I can only hope." She was glad she was looking down, tugging her socks on.
"I wouldn't dream of going easy on you," she said, grabbing her boots. "And Armagnac seems a bit pleased to have the chance and hurt you." The constant purr in her head was testament to that. "Not that I intend to actually hurt you," she added.
Boots on, she stood and grabbed her coat off the desk. "Ready when you are."

Perhaps he should think about what he said before saying it. He hadn't meant for it to hurt her feelings, and he gave an apologetic smile.
"Well, you're my favourite now, and that's all that matters."
He held his hand out for her.
"Shall we?"

Her eyes were probably a little watery when she blinked at him. Those had to be some of the sweetest words she'd ever heard.
"We shall," she answered as she reached out to take his hand.
