Jordan didn't take the bottle back yet, still studying the shadows thoughtfully. There was a light, pleasant buzz starting to gather behind his eyes, and he was suddenly uncertain of the wisdom of adding to it. At least Rep and Jerry had better tolerances than he did. "If anything moves into the range of your vision, say something," he told Rep.
He had to laugh as Jerry spoke up. "I admit that was useful. But you're pretty good at blowing things up here too, dude."

Something paused. Something listened. Something smiled at what it heard. Something disappeared, sliding into the shadows. Something struck Jerry viciously from behind.  HP: 60Damage to Jerry: 12Suffering Status If your character has been drinking alcohol or any form of drug, add 2 to your damage modifier. If your character has lost memories of being a hunter, add 1 to your damage modifier for every memory set they've lost. Decrease their charge attack by one tier (unless already at tier I). Modifier Cap is 13 (total)

A thought flashed across Jordan's mind. Shouldn't have said that. But the rest of his attention was taken up by the thing that had hit Jerry from behind. He summoned Ferros reflexively as he jumped forward.
The edge of alcohol was not at all helpful, and he barely clipped the thing as it eeled out of his way.

Modifier: 6+9, capped at 13

"What the ********?!" Rep yelped, almost choking on his drink as something, someone moved and attacked Jerry.
He set down the bottle dropped into his battle stance, tried to summon his claws.
And got nothing at all for his efforts.
"JORDAN. JORDAN. WHAT THE ******** DO I DO?"

A quick sideways glance told Jordan that Rep was trying to summon the wrong thing. "Do that, but call for Tracey!"

Jordan got a baffled, frustrated look as he offered the same advice as Tracey had more or less, before tipping over the scale of anger, he tried it anyway, thinking not of his useful claws but instead of the slender too-perfect woman from his kingdom.
He found himself holding an enormous axe.
"Holy s**t."
Well this was certainly a thing.
A thing he promptly tried to swing and of course, thanks to the unwieldy, awkwardly shaped not-quite-a-polearm, and the fact he was rather drunk to start with, it went well wide.

Jerry was about to say something, but what that was was cut short as the shadows behind him suddenly erupted forward, sending the man tumbling through the dark grass and pavement with a strangled, pained yelp. His glasses were sent flying from his face, as was the bottle he was holding, to his dismay. "NO!!"

Cackling, the shadowman jumped and twisted and danced around them, singing as he went, "Oh yeah those hunters, big folks in their small pond! They don't got a lot of class, so I guess I'll teach this a**!" One clawed hand took a less than playful swipe at the Queen's bottom. The whole scenario suddenly didn't seem like such a joke to Rep as he found out just how sharp the b*****d's claws were. "Not the moneymaker!" he snarled furiously, hefting the ungainly axe once again, teetering slightly off balance even as he tried. It was certainly no ******** claws, that was for sure.
It was redundant to say it was like chasing shadows.

That voice.... Jerry managed to right the bottle and struggle blindly with the cap from his pocket before he located his glasses- which proved to be a lot trickier. "It's... it's that guy!! Hell-" He still couldn't figure out the deal with the shadow-man, but enough experience with the creature had told him one thing- even under normal circumstances, it was hard to lay a hand on. "His lyrics are atrocious!"
He scrambled quicker through the grass, muttering frantically under his breath. His hands finally caught plastic frame, and he straightened with a sigh of relief.

"Bahahaha." Ok, he reasoned, he had to hand it to the guy, the creature, whatever the ******** he was, that he had a sense of humour.
Though his a** cheek still stung, and that wasn't funny.
He took the advice, trying to let the axe led to an extent. Somehow he managed to clip their assailant.

The shadowman's taunts only seemed to steel Jerry's resolve, his face reddening, his grip around the bottle tightening. His vision was swimming a bit, the drink had hit him harder than he had anticipated, which was both good and terrible, given the situation... He stuffed the bottle safely into his coat pocket before dodging around the capering shadowy lunatic to snatch his ukulele up from the grass and give it a sudden strum.

Jerry ignored his weapon for the time being. If he couldn't see straight, he couldn't shoot straight. At least until the thing stood still long enough-
