Well, she almost got it but at the same time really not really, Maple was very tempted to give up. But then she would let Poke down, and that would make her feel even worse; it was one thing if she were by herself, but she had a partner in this exam.
Things were just not going very well.

When her frustration hit it's limit. Poke was about to punch the knot ball when she saw a few knots at the end that didn't look like such a pain to get undone, and she was able to unravel a small portion of the ball. "Hey Maple, try this spot here!" Damage: 6 Knot Ball HP: 42

Maple was getting equally frustrated, far into the point of giving up and teetering close to crying. So hearing Poke's suggestion and call to attention was a nice little distraction, pulling her away from completing a few of her defense mechanisms. She was still pouting though as she looked at where the other ghoul indicated.
Taking the chance, and seeing how well Poke was doing with the spot, the little witch joined in at working the knots and managed to get a few of them done actually. Finally ;A;
"M-maybe.. you f-found a w-weak p-point..." Could help them unravel the whole thing if they did...

"I hope so, because it seems a lot easier to get these knots undone." Poke said as she held up a lose cord, pulling on the smaller knots until it came undone, and she moved it out of the way to get better access to the ball. They were making slow progress, and it was so much better then standing there thinking about throwing the thing. Damage: 5 Knot Ball HP: 34 chirigami Thats okay <3 have fun wherever you're going!

Maple hoped so as well, though her fingers were still having trouble with the knots as she worked at them. She had almost gotten one out, but in the end it proved to be rather stubborn and wouldn't budge.

Maple wasn't finding herself with very much progress either, really she just needed to accept this wasn't going well because not very many things did for her. Her fingers slipped, dropping on of the ropes, hindering her progress. They were really getting no where fast....

More growling in frustration occurred, before Poke decided to go stuff everything. She began to concentrate on her FEAR as if she would be charging up her water attack. Instead, she just seeped water into the knot to make the whole thing loser and easier to handle. It was amazing, they were making progress. Damage: 14 Knot Ball HP: 20 chirigami Awww hell yeah got permission for FEAR attacks

The sudden influx of water on the knots was enough to startle Maple from doing much on her end. Also made it hard for her to do much really, everything was a little too slick for her thin fingers.

It looked like Poke was having trouble with the knots as well, the added water doing nothing to help her like she had first through. She just couldn't get a decent grip. Damage: Knot Ball HP: 20

The little witch wasn't exactly sure what kind of patch she found, dry and loose or slick and wet with more manageability, but she found a small section which she was able to detangle. Finally, she was a little more useful in a tiny way... but they still had a ways to go.

The dragon seemed to be having some luck as well, loosening a few cords in another tiny section. Maybe if she could get this section to join up with Maples... Damage: 2 Knot Ball HP: 16 chirigami Woo, something from my end too! BD

Perhaps she found a good section after all, as Maple worked at the knots some more it got a little easier to loosen them up. Another section was taken apart. But it didn't ease the witch's mind, given it was her doing and her own progress she could only imagine something bad was going to happen next.
