Time skip!

So, after what seemed a couple of hours of vigorous passion, finally Mai and Nick were done with their sexual activities. Sure, they both had their own personal and different motives to have sex, but it was what they both desired none the less. Although, it wasn't not bad at all,... in fact, even if Nick hate to admit it, Mai was better at this than his former fiance had been, Mai's sister. All those desires and lonely nights that Nick has had to keep to himself had finally come out and that put into action led to a more active and better Nick in sex.

Now they both laid on the ample couch naked. Mai on top of Nick's toned chest and body. A bit sweaty but it didn't matter. They both got what they had wanted all this time. Nick couldn't believe what had just happened, and in a way he felt guilty because he felt like he had become disloyal to his dead fiance, but he was also not feeling regret. So many mixed feelings at once... was it even possible to feel guilty but not regret it?

After thinking about it for a few seconds, Nick opted for the option that included joining on the shower. He needed one either way, and if he could have a usual dull shower or a fun one with a buddy, then he would go for the second option. "I'm joining." he grabbed his pants and put them on and headed to bathroom to join Mai, though... before he stepped in, he hesitated unsure of what he was doing. Maybe I'm being too selfish... What if Mai doesn't want this... he thought. Although he did enjoy his times with Mai. She was fun, smart, and witted. He never quite understood why she never did stay with just one man. She deserved that. Maybe.. after that intimacy they had just shared he could ask her that. He wasn't in the bathtub with her, but he was in the bathroom, not looking at her though. "Mai... why don't you ever stay in a long relationship...? Do... do you just care about the sex or do you actually care about the relationship?" Maybe it was too blunt to ask but he felt compelled too.

Nick sighed. Sure it sucked to get hurt with relationships, he was the perfect example, but it is at least nice while it lasts. "You know Mai...You'll never know if will get hurt if you never try. I got hurt after being in a long term relationship, heck you know! Maybe... maybe you are right though... relationships only get you hurt and bring painful memories. Compromises... why make more in life... If it were only about the pleasure." he said sighing some more. Honestly he didn't know where he was going with this. He was just babbling and speaking what was coming to his mind at the moment. "You're a smart one to keep out of 'em." He was sitting on the floor next to the tub, giving his back to her so he wasn't looking at her, which was pointless seeing as how they had already seen each other naked. Though, if he saw her body naked again with the water running down her body, he knew he might get turned on or something like that. It had just been so long he had so much within him, and he knew that was bad. He would just have to take a shower after her.

Nick smirked and chuckled. "Quick way to end the talk. Heh." he stood up and and stepped into the tub with her. "Mai,... what are we doing?" he asked her once he was in the tub with her and right in front of her. The tub was big so they fit perfectly. He already felt his hands resting on her legs while he looked straight at her.

"So, friends with benefits? That's what we are?" he asked her noting how she was turning more serious about this. Maybe she was thinking wrong of him or thinking that he wanted to end this. To take those thoughts out of her head, he began to provide her pleasure. All sorts of it. He even kissed her neck all over softly. "I'm fine with it... No compromises... Just fun and remain as friends." he said now looking at her with a gentle smirk.

He too got out of the tub and began fixing himself like he would go out to work. "I actually have to go to the office today and don't get out until late. Maybe you should just rest. I've been stealing your time this past days. I'm sorry 'bout that." he said fixing his tie at last. He had noticed that he had a last minute call on his phone and a text asking him to report to the office. That's why he had to leave so urgently. Plus, if they were nothing more than friends with benefits then she wouldn't mind him leaving her just like that right now. "Talk to you later then. See you." he said grabbing his car keys as he walked out the apartment.

Around 9 p.m. Nick came back from work, looking exhausted. Whenever he was exhausted he would talk less than normal and just go straight to bed. Today was not different. It was as if Mai wasn't even there, well, he did see her and noticed she was sleeping so he did nothing nor did he say something. He was glad she felt at home, since that had been his former's fiance and his intention when they handed Mai the key to their home. Upon reaching his home, Nick quickly removed his shoes and his coat and hanged it on the closet. He had various clients today and although he was happy that his company was successful, he did get tired, just like anyone else.

She must've gotten bored... he first thought when he saw Mai sleeping on the couch. Normally he would've picked her up and placed her at the bed, but she just looked so comfortable all curled up on the couch that he was afraid of waking her up upon touching her. He decided on just covering her up with a blanket.

Nick then headed to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of water, and headed towards his room to rest for a while. He took a shower, put on his pajamas, and then just rested on his bed reading a book before sleeping. The house was just so quiet and peaceful. If his ex-fiance was still alive and with him, he was sure that the silence would not endure. She had been a cheerful woman always laughing and trying to make Nick try new experiences. It was during nights like this that he missed her the most. Those talks they always had...
