Animals continue to flee around Team B as they head into even deeper woodland. Birds join the fray overhead and insects pelt everything and everyone they come across in their rush to escape. Despite the noise the animals make, you will notice that there's no sound of their pursuer, whatever it may be.
Soon enough the stampede of animals trickles down to the few stragglers too young, old, weak, or sick to keep up with the main pack. As an old doe stumbles by on legs almost too skinny to bear her weight, the jungle quakes. A deafening roar sends her leaping for the bushes as though she were a much younger beast.
Unlike most sounds of the jungle and the creatures within it, the noise that makes your ears ring is not natural. As soon as it begins to fade the sound revs up again and it's clearly machine in origin. A second mechanical roar sounds out as though challenging the other and soon the two are brawling with the rips and roars of engines.
In the closing distance as Team B near the source of the machines the roars twist into metallic screams and squeals. The high pitched shriek of metal being torn cries out as a thunderous crash shakes the branches of the surrounding trees.
The team comes to a clearing and before them lies the twisted wreckage of two motorcycles; flaming and warped. Gasoline pools out of their totaled engines, mixing with the blood of their human riders - who lie as bent and broken as their machines, faces obscured by the helmets that encase their heads.

First there was the blind dash to get themselves away from whatever it was spooking the animals as fast as possible. Then there was the prolonged jog as they continued to distance themselves from the perpetrator. Eventually though, secondary thoughts were starting to make their presence known in the back of Xiu’s mind. Primarily Was it safe to keep pushing their endurance like this? and Should they find a place to hide instead of running with the animals in the open? Just as the Sigel was about to voice his opinion however, the ground shuddered and the old doe that the team had been slowly outpacing sprang ahead with surprising speed. The clash of metal upon metal was not lost to the group as they continued to hightail their way out . Loggers? But it sounded much more like those monster truck battles or perhaps a steel processing plant There was a clearing ahead and the team duly made their way towards it. What greeted them however, was certainly something that none of them would have expected. “An accident?” said Xiu with an incredulous voice. “Right out here in the jungle?”

Sevilin couldn't understand why the hell they are going toward the horrible noise, but he supposed curiosity was truly a curse among humans. And raevans. With his hands covering his scalloped ears, the sea fairy stayed right behind his guardian as he moved with Xiu into the clearing.
"Okay, no' ta be heartless--" he started, looking suspiciously at what remained of once perfectly normal people mangled into broken dolls. They were dead and gone already anyway. "--bu' is this even ********' real?!" Was there something in this forest, like a pollen or poison ivy, that was giving them all hallucinations. Were they high?! Because, seriously, thaa seemed the only logical conclusion here!

The air had left her lungs. Lette stood at the edge of the clearing, the smell of burning petrol hanging heavily in the air, unable to breath. In front of her she saw her worst nightmare, even though her fears usually placed her in fray and scattered on the ground. As a motorcyclist, accidents were a part of the package, they came with the territory. Yet, with every fiber of her being, she feared the constant potential danger of wrecking her bike due to some unforeseen accident.
One could say it was part of her attraction to ride in the first place, the constant thrill of danger mixed with speed, but she would be nothing less of a fool to not acknowledge the fact that she could die every time she revved her engine. And now, these poor people were experiencing the exact experience she feared.
Yet, even as she stood stationary at the edge of the field not responding to her teammates comments, her subconcious tugged at her derailing train of thoughts with a questioning itch. They were in the middle of a field, surrounded by a forest, looking for a guy that had been lost to such an extent that multiple search teams were out here wondering around aimlessly hoping to find a man who had gotten lost himself. How in Gaia had these two individuals driven so deep into the forest, a feat itself, to get in an accident in an open field. Something fishy was going on here, the forest had already shown them demon women and deformed children, this seemed to be next on their docket of unexplained phenomena.
Taking a deep breath, attempting to steel herself against the rising panic in her chest as she walked towards the wreckage, Lette took step after tentative step towards the pair unsure of what she would find.

As Lette moves forward the flames burn all the hotter. Their heat scorches and makes the air waver like the onset of a mirage, but the wreckage is no such explanation. The smell of gasoline, grease, blood, and heat all meld together into a foul odor of destruction and death that sears the nostrils and only gets worse as moments pass.
When the mechanic gets close to the nearest body, she will notice how his neck is at an angle which marks this man as D.O.A.. His partner - or perhaps enemy - bears other marks of trauma where he lays but this man appears to have had the more violent death. When she surveys the damage for reasons that are her own, a blast sounds off. The tank from the second motorcycle has finally been devoured by the flames and is quickly growing in size and strength and is now devouring everything in sight. As Lette tries to back off, she will feel a vice-like grip grab her leg and twist hard. The biker - broken necked and pinned beneath his once faithful vehicle - has her held fast and is reaching up to grab at her.

“M-Miss Lette? Are you sure that is wise?” voiced out Xiu as he watched the human walk towards the burning mess of metal and meat. Like Sevilin, the white sigel was refusing to trust three of his five senses. The sight of the wreckage, the smell of the carnage and the feel of the heat against his skin was unbelievably real. If the scene before him had occurred anywhere else... The sudden explosion of the oil tank made Xiu nearly jump out of his skin. Splatterings of oil and fire were now raining down and around Team B. Several splotches of the burning liquid had even found their mark and Xiu hastily beat the oily flames out of his clothes. Several more fiery droplets sizzled as they landed ineffectively against his wings. Illusion or not, the flames felt very real. “Lette! What are you doing over there? We have to leave!” shouted Xiu as the flames began to roar. In the growing inferno that was quickly engulfing everything in sight, the raevan failed to notice the death grip t hat was keeping Lette in place.

"Lette!" Sevilin sure noticed. His scream was high and piteous, too afraid to move closer to the roaring inferno around them. Against all his better judgment, We`rika sprinted forward with a curse. As long as he did it quickly without thinking about the painful death that awaited him if this failed (which it ******** would), the older man could keep going. The heat was like a slap in the face once he got to Lette's side. Sweat made his hands slippery, and the sting of smoke made it difficult to concentrate as he tried to pull her away from the human manacle around her ankle.

She had ignored the words of the Sigel as she ventured closer to the wreckage site, unable to put to words why she just had to look closer, to see if there was anything at all that she could do. Sickened, she realized how futile her attempt at help would be as the bodies each displayed their own gruesome damages from the wreck. Stomach rolling, Lette began to turn around, no longer wanting to see the death that surrounded her, when a simultaneous series of events seemed to set into motion.
An explosion from the second motorcycle seemed to rock the area and, when she fell back a step from the explosion, found a sudden pressure on her leg causing her to fall backwards. Feeling overheated from the flames, the air rocking with heatwaves, Lette thought she had been pinned to the ground by a flying piece of debris until she looked down and took in the hand that was wrapped around her leg and pulling hard. Terrified, a scream bubbled in her lungs as she did her best to scramble backwards while kicking at the arm that was attached to the rider she had sworn was dead moments before.
Her fear felt malleable, like a second vice that was pressing in on her lungs and preventing her from taking adequate breaths, but this wasn't a time for her to sit around and cry about it. The flames weren't stopping and if she didn't want to die from the smoke inhalation alone, she would need to get out of there, not to mention she had no idea what the seemingly dead man would do to her if he could get a better grip on her.
"We`rika!" she screamed as she remembered she wasn't alone, her fear blinding her thoughts as they rushed to only think about the hand around her ankle. Latching onto his outstretched arms, she put all of her weight into another kick at the hands keeping her down, feeling a high of victory as it released her. Picking herself up with the help of the man, they ran back to the Raevans, her legs giving out from the rush of adrenaline as she fell back to the ground and supported herself on her arms. Coughing from the smoke, the fear, and the sobbing tears that she didn't even remember starting, she felt the bile rise up in her throat before she could even stop it and threw up on the ground before her. Before her group could say anything to her, she wiped her mouth and attempted to struggle to her feet.
"Guys, we need to get out of here. I don't care if its this area or the forest as a whole, but the s**t happening in this place is too damn unreal."

As the downed motorcylist is kicked away, over the flames Lette can hear the man begging for help. He continues to reach for her as she is dragged away, but falls back back when the flames reach him and engulf his oil-soaked body like a piece of tinder. The smell of grilling meat fills the area as the screams of the dying man pepper the roar of the inferno. From the man's body, the fire spreads, snaking along a path toward the frightened team before catching on a trail of gasoline and filtering off that way.
Another explosion bursts the air and shrapnel starts falling like rain. Flames start licking at the trunks of trees and what burning metal lands in the branches quickly sets the canopies on fire. Although the flames should be red, looking up the Team will see a bright arch of green crossing the sky between branches. The green flare has been fired and that means only one thing. The decision is theirs though; the flare seems to have come from far off into the jungle but Team B is still relatively close to the home base and the bus and they have the fire to contend with. Do they proceed on ahead as a group? Do some members go back while others brave the dangers ahead?
((If you choose to proceed to the final area, please begin to post in the Final Fear thread. Consider it a time skip ahead when you start posting. Team B as a whole does not have to participate so if you want to drop out while the others want to go ahead, there's no worries! ))
