A cloud of sand and dust was Dakini's only response to the comment. If there really wasn't that much time left, then she was going to focus her energies on completing it on time instead of acknowledging the lack of time.

Roman grinned and took off after Dakini, easily catching up with her by using his wings to give him a boost. "Catch me." He challenged before zooming past her,

Dakini snorted, ducking her head and lowering her body so that it was closer to the ground in an attempt to make herself more aerodynamic. She didn't know that was what she was doing, but she'd seen her father and step-father's lackeys do so when they raced each other in their free time. It gave her some more speed, but she wasn't sure if she was catching up to Chaos or not. After all, her view was limited with her head lowered, and her step-brother had sped past her...
Suddenly she saw a patch of green and skidded to a halt. Just in time, too: the waters of the oasis were only about a foot in front of her. A shadow above her made her look up, spotting the silhouette of her father's flying figure. Then she scanned her surroundings to locate Chaos.

Chaos grinned briefly as he flew in the air towards the Oasis, Dakini close behind him. It didn't take her long to catch up and keep pace with him in the air, something not many grown ups could do. She skidded in front of the water, and Chaos dove into it, keeping his body parts together to make the entrance into the water smooth. Unlike his father, he didn't have many problems with his flames and water, he just had to be careful because for a bit afterwards he wouldn't be able to burn hot, which was fine with him, as long as he had the opportunity to splash Daki, which the water did when he dove in. He splashed back up and clambered onto the shore with a smirk as he studied the now soaked Dakini.

Dakini squeaked in surprise at the splashing, shaking her head and glaring at Chaos. She snorted, then turned from him and shook the water from her mane with her chin held high.
Demoni chuckled at the sight as he landed, absently stretching his wings as he spoke. "Well done. You two should drink up before we go back. But be careful not to drink too much; if you do, the walk back will be a miserable one." If they also had meat, that would be different, but a belly full of just water was not a good thing to have while running around in the heat.

Roman tilted his head, almost as if reading Demoni's mind before he took off again, returning only a couple minutes later with two desert rabbits. He dropped them and offered one to Daki and one to Demoni before he took a drink from the Oasis and waited for them to finish.

Demoni smiled at the near mind-reading of his step-son, leaning down and slowly working on ripping the fur from the rabbit's hide so that he could get to the meat beneath it.
Dakini, on the other hand, was not so delicate. She all but attacked the meal given to her, savagely going after the meaty goodness hidden inside the furry exterior. Once she got to the meat, however, she paused and looked at Roman, ripping a piece of the meat off and offering it to the colt.

Roman smiled and took the piece of meat before nodding at her to eat the rest, not at all bothered by the seemingly savageness that both her and her father showed by eating the meat. It was in Roman's blood. Sure, he preferred fruits and such, but the only plants down here were the cacti and he sure could not eat that,

Dakini's face lit up when her offering was accepted. She happily devoured the rest of the rabbit, then took small sips of the water. When she was ready, she looked over at Chaos. She figured, since they'd gone together to the oasis, they'd go back together as well.

Chaos nodded at Dakini before looking for the notice to go from Demoni, before he motioned for her to lead this time as he trotted along beside her.

Dakini tilted her head slightly at the motion, but she didn't argue. She took the lead, choosing a steady pace towards home. She occasionally used the sun's position to ensure that they were still heading in the right direction, since the landscape offered few landmarks to assist her.

Chaos lightly bumped Dakini with his nose. "Careful, you're leading us slightly off track by a few degrees. Out here, without landmarks, a few degrees off can lead us several miles away from home." He said, showing her where they should go and taking the lead.

Dakini's face flushed with embarrassment, though it was hard to see with her dark coat. She sulked as he took the lead, following him irritably. She'd learn. She'd learn so she'd be able to know her location in an instant.

Chaos turned back and flicked his tail at Dakini's face when he saw her sulking. "Don't sulk. Accept it. You have to learn somehow and I'd rather you learn by being told, rather than end up miles from home in the dark." he said with a kind soft and brief smile.

Dakini snorted and glared at him. She was accepting it! ... She just chose to sulk at the same time. But the expression melted into her usual calm as she noted the surprisingly... well, kind smile on Chaos's face. That wasn't an expression she was used to seeing. Maniacal grins were her surroundings more often than not. She did see the glitter of pride in her father and step-father's eyes, but that wasn't the same, gentle kindness that Chaos seemed to possess despite his name.
