Kibbity_Kabbit2 "I'm of mixed race. You see, my father is a fire lord & my mother a water nymph. Complete opposites right?", she said giggling. "Anyway, I took after my father though & have trained myself as a fire mage. I have a younger sister, Maia, who took after our mother & was born a Nix.", Tana explained. I chuckle softly and nodded in agreement. "I suppose i'm mixed as well. My mother is a mage while my father is a were- animal" i mumble the last part a little tensely. "My brother toke after my father while i take after my mother." i said as i tried to smile as i felt the memory come back to me of the one time my mother actually fought back with her magic. "I'm a rare type of mage i suppose. What ever type of environment i grew up in would determine the type of magic i use.... my mother was the same way" i said bleakly as i thought that my mother's magic was more or less just light magic or healing. I smile and put my stone face on in full force cause there was no way she wouldn't see through my façade if i didn't use my stone face like this.

Tana was enjoying getting to know Carter little by little. "Your mother sounds wonderful. I'm sure she was the one you earned such a kind smile from." Tana went about the room shuffling cushions about. "It's actually quite funny how my parents met. My father was actually a terrible being who enjoyed the suffering of others. He would destroy villages on a daily basis, having no mercy burning them to the ground.", Tana spoke with sad eyes. She never liked thinking of her father in such a way. "Then, one night he came across a village near a beach. He was just getting ready to hail fire on it when suddenly my mother stood in front of him with piercing blue eyes. He always said it's like those eyes could see straight through his soul & just like that, they purified his heart. They've been in love ever since & he's so gentle now.", Tana said her smile returning.

I can't remember the last time me mother and father ever showed affection each other. "Sounds like a match only fate can make." i mumble as i remember my own father destroying not towns with his rage but his own wife and kids. I still have a scar from the last time i tried to save my mom. I big slash from my father's claws when i stood in front of my mom to protect her. Seeing that he didn't care weather it was me or her. The room suddenly felt chilled as i remember the anger and sadness i felt when my mother died by my father's claws... Me and my brother never reported anything cause our mother begged us so we wouldn't get hunt down by our father. Tiny ice crystals formed in my hair as my eyes turned a light blue. Then i realized that the teacher was most likely watching and i tried to calm myself down.

Tana spun around giggling, "Indeed! It was exactly that. That's why I have such strong beliefs that all things are possible. What are some of your--" Tana stopped as she noticed ice forming around Carter & his eyes change color. {That must be his power...ice. What a coincidence.} "Carter...are you alright? Tell me, what are you feeling now.", Tana said as she made her way over to him. It was time for her to show exactly what her duties were as a teacher.

Kibbity_Kabbit2 Tana spun around giggling, "Indeed! It was exactly that. That's why I have such strong beliefs that all things are possible. What are some of your--" Tana stopped as she noticed ice forming around Carter & his eyes change color. {That must be his power...ice. What a coincidence.} "Carter...are you alright? Tell me, what are you feeling now.", Tana said as she made her way over to him. It was time for her to show exactly what her duties were as a teacher. i mumble trying to avoid her eyes. "May i leave?" i ask my stone façade showing but my eyes held painful memories that i try to suppress at all costs. I ducked my head and tried to hold it back. Then the sentence my brother said before he jumped of the bridge came back to me "Bro, I-I don't want to live If mom ain't here... It's too cold in this world without here!" my brother's face was tear stained and then his eyes turned cold as he jumped off. He died without caring about what I felt. My mom got murdered cause i couldn't save her and allowed my mom to escape. I could no longer hold it back. The air stirred and became even colder. Ice formed on my clothes and hair.

Tana took Carter's face in both her hands. Her eyes glowed bright violet as she looked into Carter's eyes, "Carter....calm down. Whatever's causing you to be afraid, you're stronger than it. Now calm down....listen to my words...still your thoughts.", Tana said soothingly. It was circumstances such as these that she studied hypnotism & other telepathic abilities so thoroughly. She could only hope her strength & resilience was enough to save Carter. She refused to abandon him with such torment now.

It wasn't a matter of being afraid, it was a matter of being angry that my older brother would leave his younger brother to fend for himself in this cold a** world. I suddenly felt a little calmer and remember my reason for my stone façade. I turned my thoughts to Emmi. Her sweet smile. She wouldn't want me to turn into someone who was consumed by anger and sadness to the point of destroying myself

Tana released Carter's face & her eyes stopped glowing as she realized he was becoming calm. "Well, that was lesson number 1. You're doing great.", Tana said cheerfully. "You may leave now if you wish. I'm sure you'll want some time to yourself & maybe rest a bit. Remember though, I'm here when you need me. Promise you."

Kibbity_Kabbit2 Tana released Carter's face & her eyes stopped glowing as she realized he was becoming calm. "Well, that was lesson number 1. You're doing great.", Tana said cheerfully. "You may leave now if you wish. I'm sure you'll want some time to yourself & maybe rest a bit. Remember though, I'm here when you need me. Promise you." I gazed at the teacher curiously and wondered what exactly what the first lesson was. "What's the first lesson?" i gazed at the teacher then i pondered what to do next sense it's the first time I've lost myself sense the night my brother died. "I'll come again tomorrow i suppose..... thanks for your help." i mumble as i looked sadly at her and then down. "Sorry if i frightened you." i grumble softly. I walked and picked up my staff

Tana walked over to a bookshelf, removing a file. "Lesson 1 is all about opening your heart and mind. Learning to allow your powers to be evoked by your emotions. Then later on, you'll learn how to control your feelings, thus controlling your powers." Tana took a pamphlet from the file & handed to Carter. "You're starting to open up, that's all I ask as your teacher. Here, these are answers for all the basic questions about my class. I look forward to seeing you again.", Tana said with her constant warm smile.

I look forward to seeing you again.", Tana said with her constant warm smile. I toke the pamphlet and nodded. I then put my hand on the door nob but looked back at her. "I see, so that's the first lesson...See you tomorrow then" I grin softly and exited the room *Exits*

Carter MillerI walked into the class room for the second time and ponder what it is I will learn to help myself. I still had the necromancy book In my back pack and ponder if my thoughts to use it were really pure intensions. Shaking my head I realized that it wasn't a pure intension. I walked in and sat down on a cushion and set my pack on the ground along with my staff. I gaze around and felt a little bit at ease when i felt the atmosphere of the room. Feeling sleepy i put my head down on the desk and fell asleep. My dreams had Emmi in them instead of the nightmare of my brother jumping.

Kibbity_Kabbit2 Tana kept her smile as she watched Carter leave class. Then her smile wavered a bit. She was happy to finally have a student, but she had her mind on other things. She returned the file to it's place on the shelf & found a comfy spot on a cushion. {Sig....where have you gone?}, Tana thought gloomily. I woke up and lifted my head to look around. My vision blurred and I yawed as I rubbed my eyes. This place really does make you feel better. I thought about the book and shake my head. There is no way out of it I suppose. Either I do use the spell or I don't, which ever I choose will probable depend on my mental state at that moment. I got the book out and flipped to the ninth chapter and started to read. "hmph" I mumble as I shut the book back. I was getting more and more annoyed at myself for even thinking that I can use the spell for those intensions.
