Aoi nodded as she heard Alexis speaking and when she felt the warm water running through her hair she sighed, though she couldn't really feel the water that much since her hair was already wet; however, the warmth felt rather nice. "You said I could stay a while, right? I think that I may stay, since I'm tired of running and I doubt anyone would come looking for me here. I can almost bet that there's not anyone looking for me after two years anyhow." she said softly as she waited for Alexis to wash her hair.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled. "I don't mind you staying at all, and I do know of a couple of submerged caverns that might interest you nearby," he said with amusement as he poured more water on Aoi's hair before he yelped as something butted him from behind, sending him tumbling into the pool of warm-hot water. He saw a flash of silver and knew it was either Zéi Xīng or Bǎihé, one of the two dolphins that tended to do this particular prank.

"That sounds nice." she sighed softly as she ejoyed the heat of the cavern. It was definately a lot different than the cooler temperatures that she was used to but she was not going to complain or protest in the least. When Aoi heard Alexis yelp and saw him tumble into the water she jumped up faster than it would have been thought possible and she squealed. However, once she noticed a silvery color in the water she recognized it as a dolphin and she calmed down considerably. "Are you all right?" she asked Alexis, unsure if he was all right after tumbling into the water as he had.{{ooc:}}

Alexis coughed as he surfaced, wincing. "Been better, but that wasn't too bad other than the embarrassment," he said wryly, unaware of the cut over his right eyebrow that was trickling blood down his face from where he'd hit one of the rocks just right and got hurt. "The good thing is that I can wash your hair more easily here," he said with a slight shrug.

Returning her attention to where the dolphin was just before Alexis spoke, Aoi wondered if that could have been one of the dolphins that had been mentioned. As she looked back at Alexis she was relieved to hear that he was all right other than being embarrassed, thoguh she did notice the small cut on his forehead. She moved, got into the water with Alexis and took a stray strip of her top, ripping it from her shirt, that thankfully stayed intact before carefully pressing it to his forehead where he was bleeding. "You have a cut..." she said feeling bad that he had gotten hurt because of one of the dolphins.{{ooc:}}

Alexis blinked as she slid into the water before pressing a strip of fabric to his head. "Bǎihé likely didn't mean to put that much force behind it when she bumped me, though it was probably my own fault since I was leaning over for more of the warmer water when she caught me," he said with a faint smile as the female dolphin trilled with clear amusement. He half turned, shuddering slightly as Bǎihé sprayed water towards him which hit him in the back and felt like ice compared to the warm-hot water of the hot spring as he picked up a couple of the bottles being shampoo and conditioner respectively.

"If you say so," Aoi said as she carefully removed the fabric from her shirt away from the cut on Alexis' forehead. "I just wouldn't want you getting hurt or something. I mean I haven't ever known of any dolphins ever hurting anyone on purpose, other than perhaps sharks, though I don't know everything." she added, having to stifle a giggle that was threatening to burst from her as she watched Alexis getting sprayed by the dolphin.{{ooc:}}

Alexis shrugged. "Technically, it was more the rocks doing the damage rather than Bǎihé. Besides," he said with a small smile as he took a handful of water and let it run through her hair.

"You're right. I mean I doubt a dolphin would do that to anyone. I have been bumped around, though they were only playing and rocks can really hurt someone if someone hits them or is hit with them hard enough." she said as she felt Alexis pouring more water over her. She hadn't gotten this much attention for the longest time and she hadn't really been in the company of anyone other than dolphins for so long that she didn't even want to think about that. This was something that she could get used to and she probably would if she stuck around long enough.{{ooc:}}

Alexis tilted his head slightly, noticing her slight shiver that he was almost certain was unconscious. "Trust me, I don't mind doing this for you whenever you like," he said quietly. He didn't tell her that she could do the same for him if she ever desired and he wouldn't stop her. He half turned, opening the shampoo and letting the fragrances of lilac and peaches escape into the air as he poured a small amount in his palms and rubbed them together.

Aoi was very relaxed, purely enjoying the treatment that she was receiving from Alexis. She heard him saying he didn't mind doing this for her and she smirked with a contented, happy smile. "Thank you," she said as she smelled the shampoo, taking in the strange scents, that were very relaxing to her. She kind of felt bad that she was not sure how to reply Alexis for his kindness, though she wasn't sure how to ask him or even what to say if she would ask him. Though she went out on a limb and asked him anyhow.{{ooc:}}

Alexis shrugged. "You can do it any way you want. Though I will admit when I bathe I sometimes have trouble getting my back," he said with a shrug as he started massaging the shampoo into her hair. He absently noticed a subtle scent that made him think of sea breeze wafting from her hair, but didn't comment on it. "I also have some books, though I'm not sure if you'd know how to read them," he said absently, his fingers and hands gently massaging the shampoo into a rich lather as he worked it into and through her hair.

While awaiting an answer from Alexis, Aoi breathed in the scent of the shampoo. When she heard him finally speaking she smiled and said, "I could get your back for you if you need me to. It'd be no problem at all." She hadn't had her hair washed like this, though she liked it a lot. The bad thing was that she knew that it would eventually wash out in the water and that made her a little sad because she liked how the shampoo smelled.
"I can read, though not very much. I mean I don't think that it'll be too hard, unless it's in some other language. But I will still have some trouble, since we can't exactly write underwater. The only reason I can read some is because of some stone tablets that had things chiseled into them, though most everything is passed by mouth." she said as she waited to be given some sign to be able to help Alexis with his back, though she was not going to force anything while she was still being pampered.{{ooc:}}

Alexis chuckled. "Well, if the reading language is the same as your speaking language, it won't be a problem at all, and I actually have been working on something that people, whether divers or merpeople, can use to write underwater; I've heard that humans have come up with pens that work in places where there is no gravity, though I've never seen them nor will that be likely, I think," he said with a shrug as he started rinsing the shampoo out, though he sighed before he heard a slight crackling sound and blinked as one of the dozen or so candles ignited. He realized the unusual sensation, almost like gooseflesh, was pulsing over his skin; it was actually one reason why he let his hair grow until it was below his shoulders, as when it had been short it tended to stick up in ridiculous spikes in all directions when this strange.... energy... tended to awaken. He was well aware that he'd blended the scents of the shampoo into the candles as well as the pleasant clean scent of a sea breeze.

Aoi listened to him and politely awaited her chance to speak without rudely interrupting him. When she heard Alexis stop speaking she ceased her chance and replied with, "Yes, the written language is the same as the spoken language, though there are still other langauages that are spoken and written. So I may not be able to read everything if there's anything from another language. And I may be a bit slow with reading, since I never read much, even though my father was rich and all that he wasn't the highest member of where I'm from, thus I wasn't able to get into the very limited schools that are reserved for the wealthiest families. And since my family lost everything I was even farther from getting any schooling..." her tone was laced with embarrassment as she spoke.{{ooc:}}
