While the Mirialan hadn't been touched by the droid, Akayan was taking no chances at this point. A wave of force energy blasted forth from Akayan's front, hurtling the Droid as fast and hard as possible ino the nearest pillar at the corner of the arena. he wouldn't stop his assault until the droid was out of commission, or he was no longer conscious enough to fight. using his reverse grip style, he charged the droid, trying to take him off at the legs.

M'arek followed the ball of energy he had fired, chasing toward the droid, dropping his saber down low and bringing it up and to the right as a strike against the machine. So far this was going well. Let's not mess this up. They had to finish this quickly. With a droid turned up this high, it was hard to imagine what could happen if it started getting their numbers. M'arek's face was as icy and serious as the situation demanded. This had the potential to go very, very wrong if they weren't careful. but M'arek had to know if he could take down a Sith.. Albeit with a little help. Akayan's control of the force was impressive. M'arek had thought he was the only one with that kind of power. Things apparently aren't always what they seem.

Akayan missed. he had gotten too anxious, and in his haste, undercut his swing. this was not the time to be making mistakes like that. this was the time to get results. He performed his horizontal spin slash, spinning counter clockwise so he did not have to reverse his grip once more. he hoped that this fight could be over as fast as possible so as to finally be able to ease the pain from the first phase of the gauntlet this had become.

M'arek caught the Droid's lightsabers as he pressed close, and angled his own lightsaber so that it grazed the cheek of the droid, who was still shaken up by the whole being thrown like a ragdoll and pinned to a stone pillar thing. M'arek was not letting it up. One of the ultimate manifestations of shii-cho was cutting off your opponent's escape and angles of opportunity. Being pinned against a wall was a pretty compromising position, and it would be arrogant to give that up. M'arek's saber extinguished as the droid's considerable strength pressed against him, in an effort to prevent it from carving into his own face.. Let's end this. M'arek drew his head back for a full-weight headbutt, remorseless of the damage it would cause him as his hands grip the droid's wrists to keep those yellow sabers away from his neck.

The fatigue was finally getting to Akayan. he kept missing his target in the most critical of moments. this needed to end, and it needed to end fast before either of them felt the full force of this thing's fury. once he landed, he switched back to the formal grip, and delivered a wide slash at his shins, hoping to do enough damage to short him out.

M'arek missed his headbutt, but he grabbed hold of the cross of the droid's sabers, which was still somehow mobile enough to avoid being hit by Akayan and strong enough to keep M'arek at bay. The Mirialan brought his right fist back and aimed a vicious punch toward the droid's face. The crowd was dead silent as these younglings swarmed this representation of a sith lord... And were winning. This was definitely not supposed to happen. True, they were clumsy. But they were effective. With the right masters, these two could become powerful jedi themselves some day.

M'arek's fist caught the droid square in the 'nose' and it went limp, it's lightsabers extinguishing as its head cracked against the stone and it crumpled into a heap at M'arek's feet. The crowd was silent. He stared at the droid, as if thinking that this was some sort of trick before he looked up at the crowd, which started cheering and even the masters were clapping gently to celebrate the youngling's achievements. Padawans bowed, younglings whooped and hollered, and the entire arena exploded with noise, revealing just how surrounded the thing had become. Almost everyone in the area had gathered, and some had holocalled out to bring jedi from inside the temple out to see. M'arek allowed himself a real smile and a subtle bow of his head for a moment before he stepped out of the arena.. To approach the droid control console.

M'arek noticed that the jawa probably wanted to rest. So he'd take these next droids on his own. The crowd was still gathered, but M'arek wasn't interested in putting on a show. He felt like he'd learned something for actually having had a challenge, so he'd test his feeling out. He punched some commands into the console, stepping forward, preparing for the next battle. His stamina was interminable, but he seemed pushed from within, not by his own mind. Like there was a current that kept dragging him back into battle. He appeared to operate on autopilot, his blank, cold stare waiting bored while four droids rose from the arena floor. His lightsaber hung limp from his fingers, not even ignited as he stared forward. A makashi salute, a droid dropping down and preparing to jump, and two droids assuming the shii-cho opening stance. The randomizer had done a poor job. They all rushed M'arek, the shii-cho droids from the left and right, the makashi droid from the front, and the ataru droid spiraling forward overhead to attack from behind. M'arek traced a single path in his mind that intercepted them all. A wide, sweeping slash from the left to right, ending with a quick flourishing twirl that should hit the droid overhead and return him to his initial stance --albeit facing the opposite direction-- which he realized was much like the makashi stance not that he thought about it.

It was hard to believe. In a single attack while being jumped by four different assailants, M'arek had won. His lightsaber found every single wrist on the battlefield aside from his own , and as he watched the ataru droid crash into the ground, deactivated, he heard the three behind him deactivate their lightsabers. He stood there, silent and watching as the droids stood motionless around him, his victory absolute. His lightsaber was already extinguished, even. He just stood there, the hilt hanging in his limp fingers, his head hanging lightly as he calmly waited for the ataru droid to pick itself up and the droids to put themselves away. Apparently he had learned something. The younglings stared wide-eyed, and the other jedi just watched as he pulled off a maneuver that by all rights should not be performed by one so young. And with no one-on-one training, no less. This was raw talent guiding the boy's hand.

M'arek sighed softly and paced forward to exit the arena. He didn't look left or right, he just walked forward, eyes on the ground about six feet in front of him. He decided to sit down and rest, to at least recover his bearings, and to try to think of a way to challenge himself in the ring, or at least what else to study. He could probably use some work on his force powers. He put his back to his familiar tree and took a deep breath, letting himself relax. He set his lightsaber down beside him and closed his eyes for a moment. He also partly wanted the crowd to disperse. it was one thing to train, but when you have an audience, the pressure to perform can distract you. Not that M'arek often noticed them, but it could definitely affect his performance. Some of the viewers went back to their studies or their work, and soon most of them had returned their attentions to other fights or other works. Which suited M'arek well. The last thing he needed was any more attention.

M'arek let himself relax and felt the world around him start to make sense. His natural affinity with the Force seemed to guide his hand, protecting him even in battle. So he needed to flex his Force muscles, as it were. he had his entire life relied on his body to do what it needed to do. Now that he knew what had been guiding him all these years, it seemed obvious to him that in order to make his body stronger, he needed to strengthen his connection to this guiding force, right? If the Force guided his hand, then it didn't matter how powerful that hand was, he needed to be able to feel where it was supposed to go.

Akayan thought the Mirialan was insane for frighting even more droids after the hell that they went through, but apparently his fears were unfounded. weither by cosmic influence, or natural ability, he managed to defeat all of the droids. at once. with one continuous swing. He didn't know what to think anymore, and it didn't help that he couldn't think straight with his droid smothering him with happiness.
