"I wasn't implying that," Jordan said. "Actually, I hadn't even thought it. You came up with that one on your own."

"You're lying, you were trying to warp all my words and s**t."

"No, I haven't lied in this conversation," Jordan said. "Except for the green eyes thing, that was hyperbole meant to encourage you to empathize and not actually true. I'd assumed you were straight and had just had a huge amount of culturally ingrained homophobia beaten into you, maybe literally."

"I am straight. I just never saw any gays back home. Like, anywhere." Al seemed to be swaying ever so slightly as if uncomfortable.

Jordan's mouth quirked in a small smile. This line of conversation sounds familiar, he said to Ferros.
I was asleep for that one, Ferros reminded him.
You saw it in my memories anyway. "It's not something you can tell by looking at someone," Jordan said. "You never saw any guys kissing, sure, but I'd put money on it that you knew someone who was gay, but never told you, precisely because of the kind of reaction you're having now."

"I highly doubt it," This whole conversation was nothing but stressful concept after another.

"Well, there's no way of proving that part of it. But it's still something you can't tell from appearances. Or even behavior. I mean, Jerry's straight," Jordan said, and thought a silent apology in Jerry's direction.

"Who's Jerry?" Al wasn't sure if he met him yet but the name seemed familiar.

"Our resident musical theater fanatic, also in Sun," Jordan explained.

Al still looked incredibly annoyed despite the shift in discussion, "So what now?"

"What now?" Jordan took a sip of his coffee. It had gotten cold. He grimaced. "I guess now you go back to very carefully not thinking about the gay in any way, shape or form, because it bothers you that much. I'm still going to beat your a** if you start getting weird at us for it again, because I really hate having to deal with Rep being grumpy and I'm tired of that s**t."
He shook his head. "Ultimately, how you feel about this is your business to deal with. If you feel like talking about it or if you have questions, hey, I'm fine with that. But I can't force you to think anything or even think about anything."

"Just don't throw it in my face man. You guys like, make out right in ******** front of me. I don't even like when a guy and a girl does that. It's like; if you're in front of people, respect that a little. Especially if you know for a fact one of those people are uncomfortable with it."

"As long as you're not defining that as any kissing whatsoever including brief pecks I can respect that," Jordan said dryly, "since I hold the same opinion. People can get a room."
