Erika and Ray stood in wide-eyed as Junior and Yuri left. "That was kind weird..." Erika blurted out but turned pink soon after regretting voicing her opinion. Ray smirked and turned to the blonde who was now holding the twins. "June is done with his project, I'm here to pick them up," The white haired man spoke in his usual monotone. Erika smiled with a quick, "Of course," before getting up. But, she stopped herself when she saw the first firework pop. Jeffery shock a bit from nervousness while May gasped in amazement, and soon both twins were wrapped in amazement over the light show. Erika beamed at the sight and looked up at Ray with hopeful eyes. "Let's watch them all together," She spoke excitedly as she squeezed the children close to her. Ray smiled once more at the childish woman. He nodded and sat himself down besides the group, grabbing Jeffery from Erika and letting him sit on his lap. It was nice to sit down and enjoy family time with the kids. Even if the mother and father were away from the moment. After the fireworks ended, Ray and Erika packed up the stuff and headed back to the King home to drop off the kids. -Exit Erika and Ray- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A playful grin appeared over Icis's face as her friends played their normal routine. She opened her mouth to reply to Julian but was soon interrupted by Miah's beckon and a sudden burst of light in the sky. She almost scowled at the thought of being interrupted, but let it go since she had people near by. People who appreciated her for her greatness, unlike that brat from a second ago. Icis grabbed Julian by putting her arm around his neck and pulled him to sit down with the two women, "You have nothing better to do right?" Icis stretched her back and cracked her fingers, feeling like she had completed a hard days work of torturing the inhabitants of the island. Plus now she had Julian here as well. That thought made her grin return as she patted his back a few more times. Then she turned to Miah, "I felt like I was getting a bit pale, so I wanted to get some sun in." She explained, trying to talk over the fireworks. What she had to say was way more important than some stupid show. "I didn't expect you guys to get here so late, I was so bored I made a girl cry in my stead."---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Talon was ready to go with whatever game they were playing. He was so excited that his teammates command for him stop went in one ear and out the other. He braced himself for whatever was going to happen until he heard a loud bursting noise in the sky. When he looked up, he saw the dazzling lights and new what his next move was. He lifted Madison off his shoulders and put him on the ground. It was time to move on from this and enjoy another activity! He turned to the people around him and said his, "Good-bye"'s and "It was nice to meet you,"'s. And when he turned to Mimi he even included a "Thanks for the fun time." And with all his farewells in order, Talon turned his back on the group and began to walk the beach back towards his home. He made sure to stop and look at the fire works on the way back so that he could remember every detail and tell his sister about them when he returned. He would tell her about the strange girl who knew about Atlantis and the fun game of volleyball he was almost a part of! It was sure to bring a smile to his sister's face. -Exit Talon- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With his teammate gone, and the fireworks going, Maddy felt out of place now with the group of still older people. So much so that he shrank away after giving a small wave to the older woman on his team. He began to walk the beach only to find that his sister had forgotten him. The emotions swelled up in Madison quickly, as he felt lost and uncertain. The boy almost reduced to tears in front of the whole beach. But, he knew he couldn't do that. Everyone would laugh at him after all. So he began to walk towards home, wondering if he could get there. That is, until he recognized a familiar figure. To upset to be excited, Madison made his way to his other sister, who was standing on the beach. He fought back all the childish sadness until he got to her and then buried his head into her belly. "Brooooke," He let out a small whine as his eyes began to tear up. Erika was such an idiot. Who leaves a child on the beach alone? And why did he have to play with those older people? And why couldn't he say these things instead of making sobbing noises to his sister? - OOC: Votes: Erika: Rath Viniva, Elliot Park Madison: Talon Fieldson, Mitsukai Yoshiko Icis: Julian Fate, Miah Bernadetto Talon: Garland Smoot, River Park Ray: Riley van Kwil, Lyra Rameri

xxxxx x~x~x~x~x~x~Rath Viniva Waiting a few moments in the sand, Rath hardly wanted to face the oddities of the beach. The dark layers of sand underneath were refreshingly cool too; a little escape from what was happening around him. The only relatively normal human being left the group, which any sane person would do, and Rath couldn't follow. He already knew January would be upset the second he picked her up and wouldn't see that he really was looking after her best interests. Leaving her there to deal with cat woman? Hell no. Maybe at least the house staff will accept him into their fold now that he embarrassed the rich snot. He had been getting cold looks from them for the past three weeks he had been here. Couldn't figure it out really. He couldn't be that funny looking. Still, the man almost felt bad for making January upset like that; being an older brother made him a little protective of younger ones...But Rath was sure the feeling would pass. And his job? He doubted anything would happen. He was a great body guard! He went to the gym all the time, and he fancied himself as pretty intimidating. Who else on the island had dreadlocks? And all the members of his little ragtag Viniva family in Nirvani were a little rough around the edges, so he had that going for him. Yeah...His job was secure.
Mentally preparing himself, he finally set his palms against the sand, pushing himself upwards. With the Sonata princess gone, all that remained to greet him was little miss feline fury. "Woof." His stone cold expression wore off quickly as it grew into a grin. It was just too weird. Maybe he was just losing it. Or feeling a little daring. "Are you for real or what?" Sitting in the sand, the dark evening had taken over with the beginning of fire works; his day off was already almost over. Perhaps he still had time to make it worth something. Even if that meant picking a fight with cat woman.
x~x~x~x~x~x~Priscilla Viniva Watching the girl's body language, it was pretty obvious she was shy, uncomfortable, or both. The crossed legs, the hoodie, and the hands in the pockets closed her off pretty swell. Ah well, she's dealt with worse. Just look at Sothen! Maybe with the darker skies and fireworks, this young lady will come out of her shell. Not for a second did Priscilla think the girl wanted her to go away. That'd be silly! "Now that's a name I've never heard before! Nice to meet you." Brookelle didn't have to worry about swimming anymore, which was a pity really, but there were plenty of options still available. A little campfire would do quite nicely in this ambiance. Away from the fireworks of course. With her closed up posture, Priscilla knew she would have to work at it a little. Not too difficult. "Are you new around here?" She started off light, just trying to get her to talk, even if just a little bit. By now most of the alcohol had worn off of Priscilla and she had a new mission for the night. Votes: Rath Viniva: Miah Bernadetto, Alfred Dahl Priscilla Viniva: Zhi Park, Riley van Kwil

Usagi laughed, "thanks," she told Kade. At least she did something right! She probably would have been acted more excited about her good color choices if she knew Kade better, but it was probably best to try to be normal for now. She smiled, pleased with herself for the time being. "Oh, I can go with you?" her smile grew and Kade invited her along. She really hadn't been looking forward to sitting alone, so it was nice to be invited by someone! "Okay!" she agreed. The woman had always liked fireworks. She had hoped her sister would have come back by now but the younger woman had probably found her own thing to do, so going with Kade wouldn't hurt. "Who are you gonna meet?" she asked the man, curiously. She hoped they were people she already knew, that would make it a lot easier but she'd go through with introductions if she had to. ------------------------ Well it looked like there had been no need to correct the volley ball rules anyway, it was time for the fireworks! Wow, did the day go by fast. "Yeah, fireworks!" Mitsukai exclaimed. Like her sister, she also enjoyed the fireworks quite a bit. Festivals with fireworks were the best! She looked around at the others around her. Watching the fireworks with a bunch of teens wasn't really what she had planned, and it seemed like a lot of them were leaving anyway. She waved goodbye back to the other boy, wondering if she should go find her own family. Usagi was probably still all alone after all. Oh, but if she wasn't Mitsukai didn't want to interupt one of the few times she might be talking with someone and having a good time. No, she'd just stand where she was for now, and watch the fireworks alone. There wasn't much else she could really do, after all. (( Short post is short, also~

It took much too long for the dog to sit up after the newborn kit had fled, leaving Catrina with absolutely no play toy but some carcass! She had at least an opportunity to scurry back to where she had left her eel, which had started to smell from being left in the summer heat. By that, she meant smell delicious. She was almost drooling as she sat back down with the eel in hand, but even a rat knew better than to eat it before it had been properly cooked! The blood was toxic, after all; she had learned that in a rather embarrassing encounter when she was much, much younger. So, with a soft, sad mewl, she began to bury it for later. There was no need to keep it out when it was obvious her previous opponent had decided to turn tail and run.
She had just finished burying the fish when the dog finally deigned it necessary to look up. She would love to believe she had stayed brave after that, but she couldn't help jumping at the genuine bark and letting out a stuttered hiss. She narrowed her eyes at the obviously alive canine, disappointed that he hadn't really died from the fall and seemed to be just playing possum. Ugh, just like a disgusting dog to take on a prey's technique in the face of a true predator. She spread her mouth wide in a toothy grin to try to show off the totally sharp and not completely human teeth and said in as calm a tone as possible to try to save face from moments prior, “Like I would reveal that to a dog.” She ended with another hiss that was much more threatening than that pathetic sound from before. Ah, yes! She puffed her chest out in pride, feeling much better after that mess up, and went on to add, “Are you 'for real', merow? That matted fur is proof enough, I suppose.”
Not one lighter!! Ah, Mimi was going to just faint from this completely devastating let down and OH MY GODDESS FIREWORKS. She shoved the smoke bombs in her pockets and turned on heel to jump excitedly at the sights. “LOOK! LOOK! DOES EVERYONE SEE THIS? OH, WOW!” She squealed above the noise as she cupped her hands around her eyes in imaginary binoculars to better help her see the sight. She loved the big EXPLOSIONS and COLORS so, so, so, SO, much!! It was overwhelming and she just had get closer! But how?! She turned her whole body around and around to look for – aha! She stopped and moved one hand to point out Jeremy, turning her nifty binoculars into a telescope instead. “Jeremy! You! Have! To! Let! Me! On! Your! Shoulders! Please!” She yelled each word as she got closer, making sure he could hear the entire sentence over every explosion because it just seemed as if she couldn't speak without a loud pop trying to compete with her voice.
“Oh, just--” He started to speak, but then the sound of pops had him stopping to turn to look towards the shoreline. Oh, no! The fireworks had started! He guessed he would have to wait until afterward to get that drink because it would just be so rude to interrupt everyone while they were enjoying the show! He shook his head and grabbed Usagi's hand as he sat back down on the towel, gently tugging her to do the same because talking was so out while during such a spectacular scene – at least, until she had sat down beside him and they were close enough to where he could whisper in her ear which would be really not creepy at all. He just wanted to keep talking since it was so fun to talk to someone!
What was he supposed to do? Junior felt his arms itch as holding hands had evolved into another full-on embrace that, as if to pose another challenge, came with absolutely no instructions. His eyes looked around them in search of some kind of sign, but it was dark and, his gaze flicking across Erika, he was reminded that he didn't exactly want people to recognize just who Yuri was hugging right then. He lowered his head, accidentally resting his head against the top of Yuri's and maybe there was some minor contact between his lips and her bangs, but he would much rather not consider that truth as his heart threatened to implode the first time he realized that that had probably happened and Goddess.
He was just on the verge of pushing her away because this was really a mistake she was making, doing this in public for so long, but she said his name and he forgot those thoughts from the surprise of it all. The fireworks started and he took the opportunity to carefully place his arms around her in return. He wanted to ask what could possibly possess her into thinking that he deserved any thanks or that she wouldn't know what to do, but he pushed away the urge. The fireworks would drown him out anyway. So, he just turned his head up slightly and watched the lights, silently praying she would fall asleep so he could have an excuse to stay like this.
Oh, even with a tissue up her nose, River looked just as riveting as ever~! She let out a sigh of contentment and pulled herself up off of the oddly lumpy sand to curl up on the blanket next to River, draping her arms across the woman's shoulders and dropping her head down on her shoulder. The fireworks were beautiful, but Zhi was a little tired anyway and she was just happier cuddling up to her wife~ Still, she responded to River's excitement with a short glance up at the bright colors and explosions above, “Yes, I see!” She nuzzled her head into the crook of River's neck and debated silently on whether she should find Jeremy or not. ….Nah, she was much happier being the couple right then than the family unit, which could be better put to use when she was feeling less romantic and more energetic. “I love you, River~” She hummed with a kiss to the woman's cheek and went back to her snuggling.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Smiling again the young girl looked up at the fireworks, "Yeah I guess. I moved here not too long ago and found myself a job at the coffee shop." Her lips pulled into a small smile. She knew she hadn't been working at the place too long but she did think she would like it there. And the small apartment could just be a temporary home. Snapping out of her thoughts she wanted to ask Priscilla a question and to get to know her. The woman seemed pretty nice. She pulled her hair over to her right shoulder combing through it with her fingers. "So Priscilla, how long have you been here?" - Rune LeBlanc, Brooke Page, Julian Fate, Miah Bernadetto, & Stella Hammett- Sea walls. Sea walls. The guy was crazy. Rune refused to admit such a thing. Her brother would know, he was adamant about these things... before destroying them of course. Over all this was a nice day, Garland was pretty silly which made for some nice company. Now with the fireworks starting, Rune couldn't help but smile widely at them. Sure, there were better ones at any given place, but Rune was a local. She grew up with those dainty little things, although she had to admit, the Sonatas tended to blow the sky up every year or so. In any case, the fireworks made her feel like a kid again and that was pretty nice. She merely shook her head at Garland's comment, hiding a smile for a moment before responding. "No, I'm all right. Besides, you were the one sounding a bit scared there." Of course she was merely teasing, she didn't really think he was scared of those little crackers... or was he? Brooke would've left early herself, but it had been a while since the last fireworks show and she wanted to see them, even if by herself. Erika didn't even wait for her, granted she was babysitting and she didn't live with them, but they were here as a family. Hm. Brooke shrugged at that going on to think about something else before she barely noticed Maddy right as he buried his head into her belly. "Maddy? I thought you had left with Erika" said the girl with evident concern on her voice. Was he alone here? Well obviously Brooke. And he was crying. Brooke sighed softly before wrapping on arm around the boy and the other hand moving to his hair to stroke softly. "Come on Maddy, what happened? What did Erika do?" It was standard now to blame Erika, but for a moment she wondered if a better question was what didn't she do? "Well I could use a drink." Of course, she could always use a drink. But for a proper one she'd have to be working, and that required much too energy for today, besides it was a festival day, "Don't monsters like you burn in the sun anyways?" commented Julian with a slight scowl, his irritation showing with each pat on his back. Julian hadn't really changed much since his teenage days, he still had a very short fuse, and Icis always knew how to poke at those buttons. For example, just by being there. Their friendship was a rather odd one. Miah shot Julian a quick glare, she was in no mood to have the children quarreling again. It always had it's moments, and Icis would be one to end the night with another bang but still. "Sounds like a good day. Nice job." Miah ran a hand through her hair, adjusting it to what she deemed appropriate at those seconds. "We weren't sure if we were going to come here anyways, that's pretty much why didn't tell you. Spur of the moment really."

Xeiro had fallen asleep, stretched out like a starfish on his towel in the short amount of time that they had been there. His downtime wasn't being spent very socially at all. Life had gotten too busy, and this is how most of his time home went anyway. It was nothing new for him.
_________________________
Beatrice nonchalantly took some more drinks and straightened her hat, taking a second to roll her eyes at Xeiro. She made a mental note that coming to the beach would have to be more common for their family. She was overjoyed when the fireworks started; it made it all just feel as though Summer had officially started.
_________________________
Lyra was relaxing, glad that the sun wasn't so bright anymore. She reached for a drink and looked up at the sky with a smile. Ah, it was so wonderful for summer to have finally started. Even if she had to listen to her dad's awful snoring, it was also pretty nice to see so many toned gentlemen that she would need to get the attention of. One in particular was standing out to her as some one who would be wonderful to toy with, but he seemed preoccupied. Maybe some other time. For now, she was going to enjoy the show with her family.
_________________________
Raiden wasn't all too excited to see that the sun was already going down by the time he was comfortable and fully sat down and started to gain some sense of relaxation. It was almost as if it was being entirely yanked from him. There just wasn't ever enough time. He smiled at Axel and placed the toy back into one of their many bags. There was only three of them, why did they even need so many bags? He couldn't complain much, he had his own problems with throwing in needless things like five different toys, that were clearly going to go without being touched. He also brought a pail and shovel, thinking it may be a good chance to teach Axel some of his sandcastle mastery, but there wasn't much daylight left for that. He watched, with a smile, how eager Axel was to just run off and play, ah how nice it would be to be so care free again.
Raiden was patting his shorts, desperately searching for his cigarettes. With all of the time that they had taken getting ready, it was quite a shock that he had forgotten them. "Do you have my cigs?" His eyes were wide and he continued to pat himself before actually looking up at her. It was only then that he realized that she had said something to him, "I'm sorry, what?" He stopped and placed his hands in the sand and gripped hands full. He was feeling quite anxious when the sounds of the fireworks started. He pushed back the umbrella ever so lightly so that he could get a better look. They were really quite beautiful, and he moved over to place his hand around the other side of Haruka. His arm was barely touching the fabric of her shirt, but it was his form of endearment. His little way of saying that this was all his to anyone who could see.
_________________________
Riley was relatively pleased with the castle that had formed in front of him when he heard the first fireworks start to go off. He leaned back onto his palms and looked up at the sky with a smile on his face. The fireworks were oh so beautiful, even if he had to watch them alone. Once they started to get boring, he leaped up, kicked his sand castle down and started to walk home. It was time to go grab a drink, anyway.
[Exit Riley]
_________________________
Morgan could feel several sets of eyes watching him, but he frankly didn't care. It wasn't like he would say anything to them anyway. He was a very antisocial person and the water lapping his legs gently was enough company for him. He continued staring off into the distance, overjoyed that his mother had no way of knowing that he wasn't putting forth much effort to make friends. It's not like he really needed them anyway, it would probably just hinder his ability to fully study out all of the things he didn't quite understand. It wasn't until the fireworks started to go off that he made any movement. This movement was, of course, to jump up and run off of the beach, holding his head and screaming at the top of his lungs: "THEY'RE HERE. I KNEW THEY WERE COMING!!!!!!!!!!" Soon, he was off the beach and sprinting home.
[Exit Morgan]

Well it looked like Usagi wasn't going to get her answer, but that was okay. The fireworks had started so there was no point getting up to wander around now. The woman obediently sat down after Kade's tug, and joined him on the beach towel. "Oh, they're so pretty," she stated aloud. When was the last time she watched fireworks? Not at New Years, so maybe at the last beach festival a year ago? She really wasn't sure. She stared at the show, staying quiet for the most part other than occasionally mumbling "Ooh" and "pretty" to herself. It was true that she hadn't initially wanted to go to the festival earlier that day but it hadn't turned out being too bad, which was a bit of a surprise. The day had actually turned out to be kind of fun. Of course, it hadn't changed her mind to go out more but she was just fine with that. Tomorrow she'd go shopping and then go back to her normal routine of running the flower shop and staying in with the cats. Yes, that's exactly what she'd do.

[ooc: lalala just gonna sum this up real fast sorry to everyone who's playing with me. uwu
River watches the fireworks with Zhi until the winner of the contest is announced and she is super hyped to have won. High-fives ensue.
Elliot manages to dig herself out eventually but misses the fireworks completely.
Jeremy gave into Mimi's requests to let her on his shoulders, but it didn't really work because of balance and stuff, so eventually they gave up and went to find Jeremy's family so they could have a sleepover. 8D
Yuri and Junior continue to hug silently and don't let go until the fireworks end. Then she says goodnight rather bashfully, and goes home alone.
Garland is blown away that Rune isn't disgusted with him yet, and spends the rest of the evening marveling over this fact. Eventually he says goodnight and goes home, realizing too late that he forgot to ask for her number.
Haruka cuddles with Raiden to watch the fireworks, then they pack up their things and leave, having spent practically no time at the beach in the end.

"Axel, the beach is this way," Nanami cupped her mouth and called to the little red-haired boy who had begun to trot off in the opposite direction of the sea. He stopped dead in his tracks, looked over his shoulder, and then ran with all of his might to catch his grandmother's hand. "Gramma! Hurry! Go fasterrrr...!" He pulled on Nanami's hand and tried to will her to run after him, but instead she just laughed and held her ground. "Grandma can't go that fast." With a small snort, Axel let go and began to run in circles over the sand, stumbling a few times when his feet hit uneven slopes.
Laughing softly to herself, Nanami set about unfolding their blanket, getting everything ready for their afternoon at the beach. When was the last time she had been out to Beach Day? It had once been her thing with Haruka, the two of them going to festivals and spending the day with everyone. But that had ended once her daughter became independent. She had been trying to convince the family to make it a regular thing again, but for now, her grandson would have to suffice. Sitting down on the blanket, she pulled out some snacks and a bottle of sunblock. "Axel! Come here! Sunscreen time!" Thank goodness he had begun to come when called, finally!
海海海
Pushing her sunglasses up her nose and making sure her sun hat was in place, Yue stomped out into the sand. She didn't like the beach a whole lot, but this was her summer break, wasn't she supposed to spend it lounging on the beach somewhere? Nirvani wasn't very luxurious but no one back at school had to know that. Spreading a towel out in a place that was just as sunny as anywhere else, she proceeded to rub gratuitous quantities of sunscreen into her skin. Other girls could pull off the sun-kissed skin look, but Yue Li did not intend to be one of them. Besides, tans and sunburns could lead to skin cancer in the future, and she fully intended to be the first person to live to two hundred. Good thing she had these sunglasses, because the glare off her white, sunblock-soaked skin was a little bit blinding.
海海海
Yuri had been waiting for this day for a very, very long time. And by very, very long time, I mean "three weeks". This was, essentially, Yuri and Junior's first date. If she had had her way, they would be wining and dining every weekend, but that was not the way things worked, apparently. Things had been a little awkward, transitioning from friends and confidantes to lovers(?), and she had been so overwhelmed by this whole single mother thing, nothing had really happened this past season. This had never happened to her before, the order was all messed up. Usually, she had sex with someone, and then let things get official, but here they were, in a relationship but with nothing more under their belts than a chaste kiss at his house a season ago. While this was a a promising feat on the behalf of Yuri, fully demonstrating the level of commitment she was putting into this thing, it was also incredibly and unbelievably frustrating. At this rate, she'd be pulling out all her hair by the end of the season.
"This looks as good a place as any," Yuri said as they came to a stop, letting go of Junior's hand and handing him the toddler she had in her arms. "Take Jeffrey for a moment?" Oh lord it felt nice to not be carrying a three year old anymore. With a small sigh, she let the beach bag drop from her shoulder to her wrist, and began to unpack. Blanket, check. Sunblock for Junior, check. Juice for Jeffrey, beer for herself, spare clothes, check check check. Once their camp was all set up, she gestured for Junior to make himself at home. "Well, we're here," she shrugged.
With a small smile, Yuri reached down and slowly pulled off her sundress, revealing the bikini underneath. Yuri Allen was back in the world, and that deserved a new swimsuit. Stretch her arms up over her head, toss her hair back for emphasis, aaaand... Biting her lip, she held her arm out and dropped her dress into the bag. Subtlety was not a trait she had ever possessed. She then sat down on the blanket and grabbed the sunblock, putting some on her arms, legs, stomach, and rubbing a little into her cleavage for good measure. "Junior, do you mind getting my back for me?" she asked, pulling her hair over one shoulder. Goddess, was her will getting dangerously close to exploding in a burst of flames.

  - Rune LeBlanc, Brooke Page, Julian Fate, Miah Bernadetto, & Stella Hammett- The sun, the wind, the waves~ Beach Day was just a great thing to have! Rune smiled as she arrived at the festival carrying her little bag and adjusting her hat. Now she would enjoy this day, but first she had to set up. As she laid down her towel she heard a little boy, it was such a cute picture with him running around. Oh kids~ Brooke wouldn't be thinking the same. No, today she had a day for herself and maybe be a little social here and there. Anything was possible, but for now she enjoyed her little spot in the shade, some glasses, and scanning the area to see who was arriving. This year Julian would be partaking in whatever little contest they would hold. Probably the sandcastle one, it was the most likely contender. Now what could he do. "Picasso, set this up." Of course a towel was thrown at his head, and it stayed there obscuring his vision. Once he took it off, he saw a grinning Miah waiting for the towel. She adjusted her sunglasses, before taking a look at the place. They were early this year, and she wanted to relax. Whether her friend wanted to build a sandcastle or not was of no matter. He could built it around her for all she cared really. Which was why she was comfortable in her spot with a magazine in hand, while Julian went for a short walk around. Of course, Stella was around for this festival. Now if only she decided where to go. She wanted to do a little bit of everything, but didn't know where to start. That was probably why she stayed standing for a while, taking it all in as she decided, with bag in hand and sunglasses on.

Eoin had somehow managed to get both his sister and daughter to agree to go to the beach with him. He was so thrilled that they were going out as a family together that he'd gone on ahead to pick out a good spot and set up their beach umbrella and chairs and everything. He was humming to himself as he spread the towels out, happy as the happiest lark. That is, until he saw what they were wearing. Christine, he'd expected to wear something that barely covered the necessities. Angela, on the other hand. His sweet, precious daughter who was still as innocent as the day she was born... The moment he saw her step onto the sand he started flailing wildly. "Angelaaaaaaaaa!" he wailed, running across the sand. "What are you wearing? Where did you get that atrocious scrap of fabric masquerading as a swimming costume!?" "Oh my God, what is wrong with---mmmmmf!" Angela was cut off as Eoin wrapped her in a fatherly embrace, shielding her innocent body from the lascivious eyes of...of...well. There weren't many people around yet. So it was preemptive shielding. It also firmly pressed her nose and mouth against his chest, cutting off any and all possible air supply. "What did you give her to wear?" Eoin asked, glaring at Christine accusingly over Angela's head. Because really, his sister had to be the culprit responsible for this travesty. " Are you trying to corrupt her??"Christine barely looked at the two of them as she stepped onto the beach and scanned the area for anyone worth talking to. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" she asked as she passed Eoin, heading toward the familiar beach umbrella. "Mmmmf! MMFFF!"Confused, Eoin looked down and realized it was Angela making that noise. "Oh!" He released her quickly, smoothing down her hair. "Are you alright, love?" "Are you trying to bloody suffocate me?" Angela asked, rubbing her poor nose and glaring up at her father. "Oh, don't be silly," Eoin scoffed. "I was merely protecting you from any perverts in the area with my paternal love!" He held his arms out, waiting for Angela to leap into his arms and thank him for his thoughtfulness. "Come, give your father a hug and I shall walk you home and find something more appropriate for you to wear. Didn't you fancy that black full piece suit I bought you?" Several minutes passed and no leaping occurred. Eoin peaked out and realized she wasn't standing there anymore. "Ah...." He looked around wildly and spotted her over by Christine, setting her things down by the chairs. His eyes went slightly wide as she bent over to drop the tote bag in the sand and he broke into a sprint so he could block the view of her...posterior...to anyone who might be looking. "Don't look!" he said to...no one in particular. He had the sinking feeling this was going to be a long day. *** Eva had managed to somehow drag himself out of his lab, lock the robots in the lab and get himself out to the beach for a nice relaxing day in the sun. He really did not get out nearly enough. Which is why he was so confused when he stepped outside his door. There was clearly something going on since he almost never saw this many people on the beach. But he had no idea what was going on. He was so out of touch with the goings on on the rest of the island that it was a little pitiful. Well, whatever. If there were more people around it was better for him. Shouldering his towel, he headed over to the small crowd, waving to no one specifically. "Hallo!" he called. "Is there some kind of event going on today?"*** Trevor had no idea what the festivities of beach day entailed but he was already at the beach with his board and his dog in tow. Maggie was pretty well behaved so he figured she'd do okay even with all the people. And he brought a small tether so he could tie her up if he wanted to do some surfing. She really didn't bark at people or wander though so he wasn't worried--benefits of all that training. He was excited to see there were already people there when he arrived, and he tried to pick a spot right in the middle of things to set up his towel, and Maggie's necessities. And damn there were some fine women roaming around. He was definitely glad he came. Plus, Maggie tended to be a chick magnet so score one for him for thinking ahead! This festival already looked promising. ** Tshila was sooooooo excited for the beach festival! The last festival had been totally fun and she got to dress up and dance, and she won a crown. But this time was at the beach! Water, and fun and bikinis and Xeiro half naked. Then again, he usually was. So that was kind of par for the course. But this time she got to be mostly naked too! Not that she really liked getting naked in public or anything, but she kind of did like swim suits and sun and sand and showing off. And she got to do all of the above. So when she showed up, she didn't see anyone she knew so she just bounded...and sort of bounced...her way straight to the water to amuse herself in the surf and look for sand dollars until Xeiro or anyone else she knew showed up. *** " CRUMPETS!" Silas had just arrived at the beach to visit his friend, and immediately spotted the white bird feasting on an unfortunate crab some 40 or so yards away. At least, he thought it was. Crumpets had a strange gray patch of feathers on the top of his head and though it was some distance away, he was fairly certain this bird had one as well. Silas broke into a run, sprinting across the beach without paying much attention to the fact there were more people than usual. He just wanted to say hello to the lovely bird gorging on crab meat. Well, not that Crumpets really cared all that much about Silas. But he did rather like the scraps Silas always fed him, so they'd forged an unlikely friendship that usually resulted in Silas getting one of his fingers chomped by the voracious bird, while it squawked indignantly about the annoying human that didn't feed it nearly fast enough. Fortunately Silas always wore gloves. At any rate, he was about halfway to the bird when his foot came down hard on something...squishy. He realized too late that it was a jelly fish (dead, the poor thing), and went sliding in jellyfish goo. Thankfully he avoided the long tentacles sprawled out on the wet sand, as he went down butt-first into the warm surf. "Blast it!" he cursed as the bag of scraps for Crumpets flew out of his hand, to be washed further out to sea by the steady tide. That was certainly going to put a dampener on their little meet and greet today. ((OOC: Beach attire can be found hiding in their pictures))
