"Benitoite it is then... Sir," Leucite let that last sir slip on purpose, and his lips curled into a slight smirk as it was said. He just wanted to make it clear that the General had his respect - but if he preferred not being called such, he'd do his best to avoid it.

"I.... haven't pulled a starseed or drained energy from someone... yet." Leucite admitted freely - if a little ashamed. "But I can't say I have any compunctions about killing someone - no."

He moved closer to the general and allowed himself to relax a bit more. "But if you've got advice on who I should go after... I'm all ears." He wouldn't mind a quick crash course on what was and wasn't a good target.

"Thank you. I'd just like to not feel like an adult some of the time." As this war certainly made him feel like an adult often enough, add to it the time he'd spent with Johnathan living with him. The pale blue haired former Captain had been his responsibility And god had he felt like an adult often. He just wanted to feel closer to his age and this helped, a little.

Shifting his weight he looked over the other as he pondered how to answer, what to answer with. "I'd avoid the children. If for no other reason than personal morals. Adults and other teenagers work. I like to go after those who for some reason I dislike, going on appearance of course." Drug dealers, hookers, certain other sorts. "Also, don't pick someone who you think will or can put up a big fight. It'll gain too much attention and they could hurt you." The last part being the most important in his opinion. You didn't want to cause a scene and you certainly didn't want to be injured while gathering energy.

"How about her get down there and you start looking for someone to gather from and you can learn how to do both tonight. We'll go with whichever you'd like to learn first."

Leucite nodded - he could understand that sort of personal hangup - a part of him had to agree - children by and large were innocent and shouldn't come to harm - but he'd seen enough of the world to know that wasn't always the case.

Hell his own childhood had been no bed of roses - that was for sure.

"So when I find my target, what do I do? I figure we'll start with energy draining first, no sense in running before I can walk. Do I signal you or?"

He HATED this feeling of being a complete newbie. God - this must be what all his father's new Airmen felt like.

Tony smiled at his wife sheepishly.

"Well, I suppose I could try to win you something," he said with a nod. He would likely have to invest a lot of money into the effort, considering the games were either rigged or well beyond his skill level, regardless of his Knight training. He couldn't use his Earth powers to get a ball into a cup.

He'd have to rely on the grace of some higher power, instead. It certainly wouldn't be his skill that won the night.

He looked immediately nervous as she said she was tired, moving to help her find a bench. Fretting mode had been turned on, and he assumed she had forgotten how to sit down on her own,so he helped her to do it. He put Dogby down, holding on to her leash, and she wobbled off to sniff at half a hot dog that had already been dropped.

He sat down next to Kyndall, his arm stretching out awkwardly sideways as Dogby pulled her lead as far as she could get it to go in her fantastic search of all these new scents and sounds. And possible new friends.

"Are you tired? Maybe we shouldn't have come tonight..."

"Of course I'm sure," Harper replied, a bit of chiding sneaking its way into her voice. "It'll be fun; even if you're kinda nervous at first, I bet we'll get used to it like that," emphasized with a snap of her fingers, "and then it's one big, fancy maze!"

Brown eyes lit up at the fascinating prospect. This would be her first time inside such an attraction, but who hadn't heard of a House of Mirrors? It was textbook! Some safe scares would be refreshing, and there was little chance of a repeat of the barn incident. The paranormal forums had a robust collection of mirror-based tales - nevermind carnival-based tales as well - and superstitions, but she wouldn't share those with Penelope. And yet, the look on her best friend's face told Harper that she wasn't completely convinced. Leaning in closely, the teal haired girl whispered a concern from her sailor suited alter-ego, "Besides, if there are any of those roving mirror wraiths in there, we should dust 'em before they cause trouble." Harper smirked at the mention of their foe, for she had the utmost confidence in them both.

"Afterwards, we can go the animal pens and get something to eat. I hope they have icees..." The plans came to a sudden hitch, however, in the form of a fellow about their age with blonde hair and a thin mustache. She looked from his timid form to the entrance, where people were already filing in, unimpressed with his 'reasoning.'

"Is that supposed to be something about us being girls? Because I think we will be just fine, thanks."

AWRIGHT, CARNIVAL TIME! Sekani had planned a special webisode for just this night, so it had better be entertaining or his subscribers were going to be stuck with him up late, tipsy, and playing ******** Burger Time. Peter Pepper had seen some things, man, and there wasn't a support group for any of it. Carnival food at a carnival didn't seem like it could fail, though: food, culture, and high speed wonders of physics held together by nails and a prayer.

Speaking of the devil, they say - the bluenette gazed up past the horizon at the roller coaster looming over the other attractions, already creaking its beams in time with the hapless, entertained screams of carnival patrons. That was how you start the night off right. Well, after eating a turkey leg and two flavors (blue and pink) of cotton candy. Sekani claimed his place in line and began filming pieces for the segment on his lightweight camcorder.

"You've seen how it tastes, so now let's see how it holds up! Or rather, down."

Ricky Cunningham

"Aw, that'd be awful nice of ya to help me out, thanks bud," Ricky beamed to Marlin. He was so relieved to get some help getting out of here that he couldn't resist the urge to give the boy mighty, strong but brief bear hug. He really did feel lost inside the maze of the mirror house, and being high was not helpful in the least for this. "I think I came in from uh..."

He reached out an arm and pointed to the side, but spotted many of his reflections around the room also point - although his reflections seemed to be pointing in different directions, confusing him greatly.

"I dun' even know where," he sighed defeated. "I don't like this place."

Haley Jones

"CAGE HUMANS, NOT ANIMALS!" Haley chanted, standing on a bench in the Animal Pen as she stomped her feet for attention. "CAGE HUMANS, NOT ANIMALS! 'Please don't feed the animals?' Why not 'Please don't feed the humans?'! CAGE HUMANS, NOT ANIMALS! CAGE HUMANS, NOT --- WHOA!!!"

Alas, Haley shut her mouth as all of her stomping caused her to miss a step and fall off the bench. "Ow."

Benitoite just didn't like the idea of killing innocent children, they had done nothing significantly wrong. And they hadn't gotten to mature and become more of a person, for good or for bad. And while there were little children senshi he couldn't even kill them, hoping that they'd grow up and mature and change sides. He really did hope for that. It was better than thinking they'd grow up and become a bigger danger to the Negaverse.

"When you find them you need to make contact with them, so it would be best to grab them and drag them somewhere that no one will see. Keep them quiet, we don't need attention drawn to us so early on in things. You'll have to focus on drawing their energy out into the hand touching them. Focus on making it into an orb. The only difficult is keeping your focus and not letting it stray. As far as I know you can't drain enough to kill - I could of course be wrong." he could be wrong with many things, as he'd learned recently. "When you'd taken enough to leave the person unconscious leave them in the hiding place, so they aren't found and people alerted, and pocket the energy orb." It really didn't sound that hard, and energy gathering wasn't. If anything he thought starseed collecting was, just because killing a person was a hell of a thing to do and handle after the fact.

"When we go down we must keep ourselves well hidden. It would not be good for us to be found by anyone who might recognize us." Especially himself.

"I'd love to join you!" Sirsce glanced from face to face, from the boy she presumed was Arian to the other girl present. "Um, if it's alright with your friends, of course." The last thing she wanted to do was barge in on their fun together and end up an awkward third wheel in the whole affair. Carnivals were supposed to be a breeding ground for excitement and wonderful memories; she desperately wanted to avoid tainting that if she could.

Gwen? She'd definitely commit that to memory. Anyone with hair as wild as that was worth knowing. Maybe she'd convince the girl to model for her sometime, as unlikely as that might be.

"Okay, um... I haven't seen the bear yet, but I don't think bears make good inspiration for swim suits. So um, lead the way if you're okay with me coming along." What about ostriches? Did they have those here? If so, she certainly wanted to get a good look at the feathers. Who knew what kind of interesting designs that would yield for a one-piece? Her mind raced with the possibilities, and she scribbled her notes into the corner of her sketchbook while Gwen questioned her friends.

They seemed like nice people regardless, and she offered them both a smile. "It's totally okay if you're not comfortable with it! I mean, I'm strange- er, a stranger, after all." She flushed slightly. Strange? Yes, maybe a little too strange at times.

Bischofite mulled over her curious approach. It felt simple, clean. A little too clean. So clean he'd have to smear a little dirt on it, even if it meant insubordination.

He half-turned toward the roller coaster, rattling against the battered metal tracks and roaring mercilessly in an irrevocably predictable circle around the park. Nameless, faceless bodies were seated complacently, awaiting their share of lurches and jerks while the coaster delivered them to the very place they began. And they called this an experience? Winding around a predetermined track, throwing their hands up in a useless gesture and seizing an infinitesimally small opportunity to scream without reason? No, that idea was preposterous.

He thought with certainty that the pair would offer a real experience.

"What about cutting ze brake lines?" He watched with unabridged intrigue while the roller coaster cars rushed by with an unbridled hiss. "It might be a useful distraction." Dead civilians lacked the spoils they were searching for, but perhaps Painite would appreciate the grandiosity of the event. Certainly in the wake of virulent fire and tortured metal, they could feed on the chaos and carry their schemes to fruition. Perhaps those stars in the sky would blaze ever brighter, and in reflection of the carnage, struggle to mete out their fury.

Beneath his fervent enthusiasm, he regarded the idea of splitting up with minor trepidation.

Harper had an excellent point. A House of Mirrors was an ideal place for the roving mirror wraiths, of which there had been many of late. It was almost her duty to go in! The excitement of her friend helped to alleviate some of her nerves. The plans of what to do after the House of Mirrors felt natural to her, and the imagined feel of frozen soft drink on her tongue made her smile. "And a large tub of popcorn? I'll bet there's some ducks we could feed..."

While Penelope did not take the same type of offense as her friend, the mumbling blonde gentlemen was something of a shock to her. Already nervous, she actually took a step back and brought a hand to her chest. He was an interesting looking fellow, although the moustache was doing him no favors in her opinion. He thought it was too scary to go inside? Maybe... maybe he was all part of the show? Carnival workers were supposed to play along with the amusement, right? She offered him a small smile, almost as timid as his own words, even as she took her place at Harper's side, "We'll be careful."

Now, if only she could convince herself that all would be well, and that she could totally survive the scary mirror house. In the end, however, duty and friendship always meant more than fear. Even if she did take hold of Harper's hand to steady her nerves.

Eliza the hyper little being she was took off in the house of mirrors at a run, grinning from ear to ear, even when the security personnel made a grab for her shouting no running, she saluted him but continued on.

She went this way and that way and before she knew it she had no idea were she was. There was lot of her everywhere, but no indication where she should be. She decided to back track, which was a thoroughly unsuccessful endeavor which served to get her more lost.

Frowning she called out, "Hey, is anybody there? Willie! Anybody!" Her high voice bouncing about and echoing, in a way that might possible spook others.

Scott was half expecting them to either not hear him or blatantly ignored him. In fact, he was kind of hoping they would have. But he had terrible luck, especially when it came to women. When the green-haired one turned to him and snapped, he openly cringed and backed away, bringing his hands up in a half 'don't eat me', half 'I surrender', and completely 'I didn't mean it' expression. Again, he fumbled with his words. "I-I-I'm sorry, that's not what I meant! I just meant that it's..."

He gave a groan, realizing that there was no way for him to get out of that predicament and come out on top as a winner. Someone braver, someone suave and cool with words could have easily weaseled their way out, but that person was not Scott.

When her friend merely replied with 'we'll be careful', all Scott could think to do was sigh and give a defeated nod. He knew he shouldn't said anything, and this only confirmed it. He let them go without another word, and feeling he did what little he could do, he went back to his position. It would be time to commence the attack, and he didn't want to see the consequences of not being at his post.

"We can totally see the bear. I heard it's not for attractions or performances, but they have a story posted about him." Gwen was excited to have more company, and she was even more excited to talk about animals. She wanted to make a B-Line for the bear, but the sounds of someone shouting about humans and cages and whatnot caught her attention.

She looked towards the girl that was stomping on a bench, only hearing half her words and wondering if she was looking for someone, or maybe trying to protest. When she heard the second half of her words, Gwen wanted to facepalm. 'It's one of those."

What she wanted to do was jump onto the bench and retaliate with a little show of her own, but it seemed karma had a hand in her fate already as she went tumbling down. And Gwen couldn't help but chuckle, even as she slapped both hands over her mouth and looked to Arian, Orah and Sirsce. "You think she's okay? HEY! Are you alright over there?"

She hoped that someone falling off a bench would have been the only eventful incident this evening... she really wanted to see that bear.

While slightly impressed that Chris had actually taken one of the drinks for himself, Paris didn’t really expect him to drink it. He was pretty sure Chris had only grabbed it for the sake of being antagonistic, and while Paris had no problem acting in such a way himself, it wasn’t something he was used to seeing from Chris unless Chris happened to be faced with Peter.

Or someone he viewed as a potential rival, which only piqued Paris’s curiosity even further.

Maybe keeping Pascal and Zia company would actually turn out to be entertaining.

“God,” he said, making a show of taking a large swig of his drink and meeting Chris with a broad grin as he continued, “if only Billy and Ladon were here, then it’d be a real party. Two smug assholes, two mouthy brats, and you and Ladon, the sweet, innocent goody-two-shoes trying in vain to contain the damage.”

As it was, he was perfectly content to see the night through now that he’d found some amusement in it. A peaceful, uneventful evening probably would have been preferable and much less stressful for all involved, but he couldn’t pass up the chance to be obnoxious when it walked up to him and stared him in the face.

He might be married, but he was still only nineteen. He could act immature if he wanted to.

“I love rides, let’s go on some rides,” he agreed, forgetting that Chris had offered food just before. “Where’s that Tower of Terror thing? Whatever it’s called,” he said. “The thing that drops and goes up and down. Clearly if I feel like puking by the end of the night, that’s the ride to start with.”

Paris paused for a moment to look around and get his bearings before practically launching himself in the appropriate direction, raising his cup in a mock toast as he encouraged Chris along. “Drink up, Christopher. It’s going to be a long night.”

Lecuite nodded. "Sounds simple enough," The fun part would be finding the target and getting them into a secluded spot. But all the same, that was half the fun right?

Nodding to the general, he moved to the edge of the ride and stared to climb down. "Alright, stick to the shadows - got it." Sliding down, he immediately made it toward the shadows, keeping out of sight as he looked around for someone who struck him as a target.

He finally settled on a guy in his early twenties. He looked skeevy in Leucite's opinion, and it wasn't long before he was shadowing the man. He waited for him to turn one of the blind corners that he'd mapped out earlier, and then slipped behind him. One hand covered the young man's mouth and the other went for his throat. Pulling him into the shadows he focused on pulling the energy out of him and forming it into an orb like Benitoite said.

It wasn't until he started to feel the man go limp in his arms did he realize he was actually doing it. He was having trouble getting it to form into an orb though. He redoubled his efforts and after a bit of trial and error - managed to finally get it to coalse into the an orb. Slipping it into his uniform, he propped the man against the nearest fence and turned around looking for Benitoite. He'd lost track of time and wasn't sure how long he'd taken.

"More like because they are unable to? And is that what your pinwheel turned into?" Amethyst offered, amusement dancing in his gaze as he noted the obvious changes to Buddingtonite's uniform before gesturing to the boomerang that he still had in his hand. "That's a pity though I'm sure that your efforts in this particular endeavour didn't go unnoticed, hence your promotion. Those of the Order are harder to sway to our cause than the average civilian on the street after all."

He hadn't spoken to anyone from the other factions by far, having been caught up with work and energy collecting these days but he would imagine that he would have to touch bases with them at some point soon if he wanted to put himself in good standing for a promotion eventually. There were still certain perks with being a Lieutenant at this juncture, like asking supposedly silly questions like the one that followed without worry ceaselessly about possibly being punished for his own ignorance.

"... this may sound kind of preposterous but... what are starseeds? Or is that another term for the energy orbs that we are supposed to collect from the civilians this evening?" The look that the Captain had went right over the blond Lieutenant's head as he took what he said in the most literal sense - asking nicely. He wouldn't expect to be coddled the entire time or for any longer than was deemed necessary though. It would probably be for a while longer until he was cut off entirely and expected to fend for himself instead of being a possible liability to the Captain before him.

What a wonderful place the carnival was! With all the fantastic colors, and the noises and all of the terrible but absolutely delicious food.. It was simply heaven to the otherwise housebound kid. Sure, before they moved he was free to come and go as he pleased as his parents trusted him more than his other siblings, but the people back home were always some to be weary of. Plus all of the Carnivals back home were pretty sketchy, nothing that his mother or father would be too approving of him attending.

Nope, the ones here, or at least the one he's been to, which would be this one, was surprisingly well put together. All organized and what not, in little neat rows that allowed for easy transport for big groups, and didn't inconvenience the individuals who kinda weaved in and out of the pedestrian traffic.

Which was exactly what Isha was doing! Bobbing and weaving throughout the crowds, eyeing everything and being uncertain about what he wanted to do next! First he had grabbed a snack, of course, which was a terrible Idea, because right after, he had gotten on one of the larger rides, and his stomach felt all sorts of upset and sickly. So as to calm it down, he was trying to decide what would be fun, not games, and relatively. Soon enough he stumbled around to the House of Mirrors, and decided that perhaps this would be a nice way to chill out for a moment. In saying that, he actually felt alot better already, so, perhaps this was just for fun!

He knew of the trick of how to get out, the whole left-hand on the mirror method, but what was the fun of that! He wanted to get all sorts of lost, to the point where he might even be forced to do such a thing! And without his little brother being around, hanging onto his arm, he was pretty much free to do this!

But before he could get to into his exciting journey through the land of reflection, he heard an outcry for help, one he recognized as the girl from the field day event thing he had participated in. She and him dominated the three-legged race, though there were no other contestants! It was still a blast! Right now, however, she seemed to be in trouble.

"Don't worry, Eliza! It's Isha! I'll find you, just stay right there!" It only took a few moments until he found her, showing up in the mirrors before actually reaching her.

"Hehe, hey there! I take it you were lost?" Despite feeling like he needed to protect her, he more than happily patted her shoulder, still finding fun in the situation.
