Ian wasn't used to people. People people. Not the crazy old bats that he had to deal with on a regular basis with too much retirement fund and not enough sanity. So it was awkward, too many psychic resonances clearly and not enough belief in the paranormal.

Some man with hair that he felt he could probably commune with was causing a passive aggressive ruckus and arguing with Lenny.

And he thought animals had social anxiety issues. Perhaps he was still channelling a client.

Okay, the power of a smile didn't seem to be doing all that much for the centaur. Frowning briefly, she forgot the presence of her boss for a moment and popped a contemplative gum bubble (which is totally possible to do, thankyouverymuch). Wasn't really much she could do to cheer up the creature though, was there - she didn't even have a snack on her to give to it. In the end she just shrugged and gave the centaur a merry wave.

Turning back to her conversation with one of the guests from Wickett's group, she continued like nothing'd happened, "Ahh, I see, I see! Nice place, the Coast, certainly." In as much as any place harbouring manufactured and really quite lethal creatures of the mythological variety could ever be, at least. "Nah, I'm one of the tour guides from centaur group. Usually work in Security, though. And a pleasure, Mister Steve."

At another of the guest's talk of things going on, Hannah gave a little laugh. Only slightly tinged with an edge of nervousity because yes, things did go wrong, "Ah, well, Mister Wimple, was it? I can assure that we've got a handle on it - our security is some of the finest in the world," okay, while that might, possibly, be true, she wasn't entirely sure of this being actual fact. But with the amount of money Mr. Whorl had thrown at it, it really ought to be, "all our staff are 'specially trained and outfitted with tools for handling them creatures. You needn't worry about them, really."

Staff Name: Hannah Everett
Job Description: Security - Centaur Group Tour Guide
Physical Description: Tanned skin, brown eyes and ash blonde-brown hair usually up in a high ponytail with bangs framing her face, Hannah is an athletic 26 year old woman of about 175 cm's height. Usually found loudly chewing some exotic flavour of bubblegum.
Brief Character Profile: Hannah generally takes to everything in life with a constant cheerful vigour and dogged determination to get things done. She's very sociable and has an ill-hidden romantic streak a mile wide. Despite her demeanour, she's quite competent at her job.

Soft flutterings of translucent wings and subtle touches of legs upon his nose, the canid stirred as his form flopped onto the side, the wisping tail fell free, cascading over the ground like a river. The elusive fu-dog had been resting a long rest before its emerald eyes popped open. Immediately its tail raised up behind him, the long hairs swirled and curled trailed behind him like a train. Pronounced brows and teeth moving to an uplifting expression. He was awake at last and surely there are others around that he could play with! Yes, indeed.

So off he went seeking out fun two-leggers to follow and tag along with. Yes, they would enjoy his company! Happy day of happy day!

Name: Fu-ren
Species: Fu Dog
Park Location: Faerie Forest
Physical Description: A waist-high creature of shades of greys and silver with small tints of gold. Pronounced teeth and ornate brows and mane. Similar designed ornate fur patterns around his paws and tail. Brilliant green eyes. His fur pattern is a mix of swirls and the appearance of wind blown hair. No Horn
Brief Character Profile: There is someone over there. sneak sneak sneak The see me. sneak sneak sneak Can I play with you?
He is utterly friendly and tends to follow groups around through the trees unless welcomed to join their walk. But will run off into the trees whenever he feels like it. He is easily distracted by the faeries and fireflies and tends to fall asleep around them.

Turning his attention back to Hannah trying not to giggle at Mr. Wimples hair.. "Oh security sounds like it could be a interesting job." He turns back to Mr. Wimple, " See I told you that the staff wouldn't let anything happen to us, that would mean that there creatures would be danger to and they wouldn't want that." He gives a glance around the area trying to spot any of the creatures that may be in the shadows. " So Hannah what kind of tools are used to keep control of these creatures besides the fence system that Mr. Wickett was telling us about earlier.?" He shifted in his place and opened his notebook and wrote down
Creature treatment at the top of a new page and looked at Hannah with curiosity.

The black dragon surreptitiously inched closer to the group when it heard one of the visitors talk about the means to keep it and the others here. Taking great care not to be seen it paid very close attention to what was being said.

Not that it wanted to leave the place per say - it was very happy with its napping places around the lake, but it wouldn't be against stretching its wings for real once in a while.

Steve got the feeling that the group was not alone anymore. He looked off into the forest but he couldn't see anything out there but he was sure he could sense something. He's had these feelings before with some of the animals that he has cared for. They would hide from him and then pop out of nowhere he hated that feeling of being stocked as some kind of prey. He turns his attention back to Hanna trying to keep a look out of the corner of his eye for anything.

Ahh, maybe she shouldn't have brought up that topic. "Welllll," crap, crap, crap - if Wickett had only talked about the fence system, did that mean she wasn't allowed to tell them about the rest? Hannah was pretty sure someone, at some point, had told her what was and wasn't TMI to give to the guests, but she couldn't remember exactly what it was they'd said. Time to wing it, "Seeing as this place is pretty damn groundbreaking an' all, a lot of our tools are highly specialized, developed here in Wonder Park by our brilliant team of scientists and specialists." Yeah, that sounded politician-y enough to work. Throw in a smile and hopefully it'd be enough for Steve to change the subject to something safer.

Steve scribbles down Hannah's answer while trying to focus on both her and whatever was out there. "Oh, so nothing that you would see in a normal place that cares for animals... I mean creatures yes creatures then?" He totally forgot about the conversation he had with Ms. Matthews about not calling the things in this park animals.
"Are any of these things meant to harm or are they more of a way to scare the creature?"
This was what Steve had been waiting for. Someone to answer all his question concerning the safety and well-being of the creatures so he knew if they would be at his standard for the treatment. After all who was a better person to ask then someone who works as security here and got to probably see more first hand stuff then his guides would ever see.

Irisa found herself frowning at all the loud noises the humans were making. Standing slowly, she looks towards them debating if she should even bother to go near them, or just go deeper into the forest and sleep. Knowing her luck though, they would probably follow her. tailing flicking the ground out of frustration, she carefully takes a few steps towards the humans as she looks to the tour guides.

They were familiar to her, so she was starting to feel a little at ease with them around. But there was still too many humans he didn't know, and this was just a little too much for her.

Everyone
Hi she see you all!

User ImageName: Irisa
Species: Kirin
Park Location: Faerie Forest
Physical Description: Standing six foot even, she has pale pinkish skin with pale green markings all over her body. With long silky teal hair that is partially held up with flowers. Pale pink eyes, full of curiosity. In the center or her forehead is curved horn that shimmers a very light green when the light hits it. Often found in her half human form instead of her kirin form. As seen here
Brief Character Profile: Young, free spirit, she is a tad skittish when humans are around. Very easy to scare, and over all a very aloof creature.

"Creatures, yeah." Her smile took on a more relieved tone - right up until his questions continued. Damn it, she'd thought she was off the hook here! "Our methods focus mostly on containing or deterring the creatures, rather than harming them." Mainly because harming them was a bit useless; even if 'killed', they'd simply dissipate and reform later. "But, should an incident occur, our main priority is the safety of our guests and the staff." That sounded good, right? And wasn't technically a lie.

But she wasn't sure how much longer she could keep up the good answers, and it was with great relief that Hannah spotted the kirin warily approaching them. "Ah, I believe this might interest ya, Mister Steve! If you look over there, you can see our resident kirin, looking a bit nervous and inching 'er way over here." Her speech had eased out of the stiff formality she'd unknowingly adopted when answering his questions - this was much more comfortable territory. She turned a warm smile on the creature, "ya can come over, we ain't gonna harm ya."

"Mischevious meaning prone to pranks. And nicking things. The bathrooms are in the Faerie Forest Visitor Center." Wickett checked his watch. "Ms. Matthews can take you now, or we can stop by on our way to dinner. Mr. Whorl should be preparing a meal in the banquet hall."

He addressed Len next.

"The world is full of mysteries, biological and otherwise. Deep sea creatures, for instance. Many of them are, unfortunately, not any more magical than a platypus. There are, of course, naturally-occurring pockets where imagination has solidified, but the results are...well. Unstable. We have researched them quite thoroughly. The creatures themselves are reclusive, and fragile. They have short, lonely lifespans. And they not used to humans, of course. Here ours are grown carefully, nourished, and put in environments where they can flourish."

He fielded the next question, too.

"Faerie Forest is home to their namesake, and some smaller creatures- Gnomes, Jackalopes, all manner of winged creatures. Flying Foxes - not bats, you'll know them when you see them. And then guardian-types... Centaurs, Unicorns. The Kirin can be identified by her scales, they're thought to be good luck. Ms. Everett has pointed her out. Our Fu Dog is another guard, one of our friendlier species."

And as for security...

"The method I described earlier, where creature will reappear back in their assigned areas if they wander from their quarter, can be triggered by staff. Creatures who pose any problems are relocated."
PostPosted: Tue May 21, 2013 1:35 pm

Steve scribbles down Hanna's answer and was about to ask another one when she turned his attention to the Kirin that seemed a bit nervous. "oh that thing there" he points to the Kirin " It looks kind of like a unicorn doesn't it?" Turning his attention away from the Kirin for a second " where are they relocated to?"

"She has the singular horn, yes, but the Kirin is an entirely different species," Wickett said mildly, readying the dissipator.

He did not deploy it. But his thumb was on the button.

Irisa takes a few steps forwards before she heard the word unicorn. A frown forming as she looks to the human that called her it, her tail thumping the ground in a not to happy manner. Her eyes narrowed but she didn't do anything. Not with two familiar humans nearby, one in which she knew could cause harm to her. Tail still thumping the ground, she moves towards Hannah.

Looking towards the unfamiliar humans, she was still tembling so she kept away from them, but close enough to Hannah as she sits down just to her side. Her hands placed in her lap as she curls her tail under her for now. She gives Hannah a small coo as she leans down to gently brush her head against the her shoulder.

Observing the now upset looking Kirin "oh.. ok I see it now 1 horn got it." Steve made a weird face in the direction of the Kirin, to him it still looked like a unicorn. But then again he's only seen pictures or once he tried to tie a stick on the top of his horses head. Now that was a cool looking unicorn.
He looks over at the Kirin "Sorry to offend you, you are very pretty." He gives a smile in her direction.
