Nadya was waiting for Ariel to resurface for her treat. It was odd that the mermaid didn't demand her treat soon as the trick was completed. Had something gone wrong? The handler paled a little bit as she sort of moved closer to the water with a sort of confused expression.

Nothing was wrong. Nothing to see here.

It didn't help that the more fellow human beings gathered the more she felt somehow...out of place. This was likely a side effect of being a 'career' handler and spending all of her time with her 'babies'. Not that she'd ever take any of that time back.

She knelt and splashed a hand against the water, "Ariel..? Don't you want your treat?" Her voice rose with concern. Nadya glanced over at Bloodwater where he currently was hoping he'd at least indicate that everything was alright.

Bloodwater turned to Cordelia. {Fishes? I don't see any fish just creatures that look like Nadya} He still wasn't sure what she was calling fish, other than the car decal there was nothing remotely fishy on the other side of the glass. But that was a merperson like they where, so she wouldn't be calling it a fishy would she?

He looked at Nadya confused, maybe she knew what or where the fishes were. He paused for a moment trying to think of what would make her under stand getting an idea he attempted to make a fish out of bubbles but it ended up looking more like a goldfish cracker than a real fish. Bloodwater having never seen goldfish crackers though it looked nothing like a fish. Clearly he needed to practice his bubble art.

Being by a beach didn't mean there could be any less amount of danger as there could have been on the mountain. At least their guides had figured out the damn guidance system so there was no chance of almost swerving into a tree like last time. One less chance of death.

Adler eyed the waters suspiciously as he got out of the car, this time at least and not like the last, but stayed a little near it. He didn't have a pen to take notes just yet but his hands were still tightly holding onto his notebook for later use. Apparently there was a mermaid, and about the only kind of reference he knew of such a "creature" was the Little Mermaid but that didn't mean he was still in belief that this poor woman with a fin attached to her by some means was actually one.

"Seeing as how the mountain was riddled with dangers," he started to ask, pushing his glasses up higher on the bridge of his nose, "what precautionary measures do you have here to ensure visitors' safety?" He eyed the location and didn't dare look at the 'creatures' even if they did do tricks. Nor did he pay attention to the staff's little dramas going on. He was working, thanks.

And right now all he was seeing were death traps.

It was as if Cordelia could sense the willingness, and floated lower, focusing intensely on Emilia. She opened her mouth, but only bubbles came out. And a soft, quiet little cry reminiscent of a dolphin chitter. {These fishies look like Nana, silly.} She responded to Bloodwater, without pulling her gaze away from the human who'd been caught by her spell. {Nana brings us delicious fish because she is from the dry fishies world. She has brought us her own kind today. This is because Cordelia is extra good and special.. she gets these dry fishies. Bloodwater does not get dry fishies because he just sits there and does not do what Nana says!}

She chittered again, this time with laughter, and flipped her fin happily. Nana was calling her, and she heard the splash of water meant to catch her attention. The fishies would have to wait! She waved goodbye to them all, her hands and fins flickering wildly in farewell, before shooting back up to the surface to meet with Nadya's hand. She slid onto the shore, and turned on her back, offering her belly submissively to Nadya.

{Come, Bloodwater! If you are good like Cordelia maybe Nana will give you some of the dry fishies too! Come come!}

Steve saw how much Emilia was intrigued with the mermaid and decided to let her do her thing for a few he didn't want to interrupt her flow of drawing.
When Bear came up on his shoulder he gave a little jump " oh.. haha there you are." He took a step back so they could talk. " Well they are very interesting, definitely nothing like I've ever come across before." He looks back at the creatures around them. " it seems like they are well behaved but then again who knows what their behavior should be after all." He gives Bear a look like he's a little confused, " You ever come across this kind of stuff before?"

"Ya, I can pick our destinations for the rest of the tour." He didn't sound sullen really, more neutral then anything else, as he dug around in his pockets for change. Extracting some, he began to drop coins into one of the vending machines, then punched a few buttons to release a kitkat from the coil that held it in a row with the others. Extracting it from the machine, he finally turned to face Melanie, a single brow arched as she tried to apologize to him.

Tearing open the wrapper, he broke off a length of chocolate covered wafer, and offered it to the woman. He couldn't really say how exactly he felt about having been assumed guy, but if he instead focused on what she'd said just before that, it did wonders for his mood, and ego. "So," he ventured conversationally, breaking off a stick of his own and wagging it in the air. "What was that bit you said, just before the homosexual word vomit?" He took a bite of his kitkat stick, the corners of his lips twitching upwards in a satisfied smirk.

Okay, so she'd thought he was gay for all of an hour or so. That wasn't the end of the world. She'd also said he was her type, and really, that was the more important bit. Smirking, he dipped his chin in a nod, winked, and stepped away from the vending machines at their insurance agent came to ask a few questions. And if his fingers trailed lightly along her hip in passing, well..

Their guests probably wouldn't notice. Probably.

"As you can sir, Mr. Adler, we're surrounded by 4" thick, virtually unbreakable glass." He took a step to the side, rapping his knuckles against the clear barrier with a smile. "When we're up and running to the public, there will also be an increased number of handlers and security around, to insure the safety of both our guests and the creatures that live here. Though as you have already witnessed, very clear rules about not touching our resident inhabitants have been given." They were going to salvage this little fiasco of a venture, god damnit. There was no way Les was going to let any of them lose their jobs because of some rambunctious beasts.
