As the two twins continued forward, still trying to move Erik with at least some semblance of speed, they only wondered just what kind of hell they had gotten themselves into. Whoever they were fighting didn't seem to be here on peaceful terms like the girl from before said, so just what were they planning on doing. The two of them looked at each other, almost reading each other's minds at just a glance. They had to get out of this place now. ". . . We Will Not Back Down."

Good. Selene was up and over the railing without any problems. Arwin had kept his end of the arrangement at least. As she landed on the stairs, she darted upwards and came out of the stairwell to find herself on a stage. The group in front of her was just about ready to go down yet another set of stairs. Where were they heading exactly. They were not going towards the front exit and they already knew the back exit was blocked off, so where were they heading. Selene knew though if they got outside of the building, things would get really bad really fast. "Stop where you are!" She yelled towards the group as she started running towards them.
As soon as Arwin knew that Selene had gotten up the stairs, he turned himself back around the corner. No point in risking himself any further. He wanted to try and get some bigger fish to fry. Reaching down towards his belt, he grabbed onto a flash bang and pulled its pin. He then tossed it around the corner and waited for it to go off.
"To make sure his goal's are completed"

Lisa continued down the stairs and across the hall. The problem, was that that led her to a completely unoccupied parking garage. About 50 yards of no cover except for the building's support columns. Whatever. She ran for the stairs on the other side. It would put her out in public, and in the open. She just hoped she and the others made it.

 When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick hurried behind the group and waited for the others to finish going down the stairs as he started down slowly. He glanced back at the woman yelling them to stop. He had a thought to maybe speak to her but he shook his head and turned back around.

 Natalia Lucile Menard Princess? Ha ha ha. that's ridiculous. There are no princesses here, and i'll kick your ******** a** if you suggest otherwise.
Natalia watched the grenade coming at her. She saw the shape of it and swore to herself. She shoved herself into the storage closet and slammed the door shut barely in time. ******** she hated those things. Her head still hurt from the noise, which she could still hear with the door shut and her fingers in her ears. He had just bought himself more then enough time to rush her and have her trapped like a ******** rat.... ********. She arranged herself behind a double bass. It would at least offer a tiny shred of cover for when he stormed in here to massacre her dumb a**. If only she hadn't thrown her grenades away. Fuuuuuck.
Oh, you're a smart one, aren't you. ... are you quite done talking?

 The smallest lark could carry it, Anna came to the bottom of the stairs shortly after Lisa and she saw Lisa bolt right after she went though another hall. She turned back for a moment to see the others coming down the stairs. Ok we have to at least get outside and maybe we can disappear into the crowd. She started across the parking garage though not fully running as she glanced around to watch for anyone to stop them and behind herself to see the others.
while a strong man might not.

A man stumbled out from behind a corner of the curtain with a revolver in his hand. He clutched his head and mumbled insistently to himself. He didn't notice much till he heard Selene's footsteps as she ran past. He quickly lifted and shot a single wild shot in her direction.

"Through Darkness or Light . . ." Walking out into the parking garage, the two twins looked back at the path where they came from. Not wanting to wast too much time, they turned back around and started running further into the garage when they felt their powers slowly returning. They were finally outside of whatever aura it was that was keeping them from using their powers. "We're out! We're out of the field!" They called out through the group as they heard a gunshot from behind them. They jerked forward again, thinking that the shot was aimed towards them, but none of them were hurt. Who shot who? ". . . We Will Not Back Down."

"I will do everything in my power . . ." Selene stopped. She felt a quick and sharp pain in the lower part of her back. What happened? She looked down to see blood running down the front of her uniform, a hole in the lower part of her chest right under the coverage area of the armor. She had been shot. Selene staggered forward a bit, the pain surging through her body. She needed to complete the mission. She had to. She tried to continue to move towards where the targets had moved towards, but she collapsed to the ground. She couldn't tell just how severe the shot was, but based on the pain she was feeling, she could tell it was worse than she originally thought. Reaching up to a button on her armor, she pressed it and a signal was sent back to the H.A.W.K., signifying that she needed a medivac extraction.
Arwin walked over to the door the girl had jumped into and laughed a little bit. She had trapped herself in a little hole with no way out. It wouldn't be too hard to capture her now. As Arwin started moving towards the door, he received an order through his comm link to retreat from the area. The mission was being called off. He gritted his teeth, knowing he could quite easily kill this woman right now, but if he disobeyed Bren's orders, he would not be able to complete his own objective later. With a bit of a sigh, Arwin left from the door and started heading towards the exit, opposite of the way Selene went.
Garenth then received his orders. He motioned towards the group at the base of the building, telling them to move in to try and secure Selene before she was either captured or killed. The 'Elite' of the group took control of the squad and motioned for them all to follow him as they started to head towards the building. Receiving information from the H.A.W.K., they were ordered to avoid the Parking Garage at all costs. The P.U.s had arrived there and were outside of the anti-power field. Engaging them would be far too risky. Right now, everyone was focused on retreat. "To make sure his goals are completed"

Lisa felt the change in weight that signified her powers had returned, and she couldn't help laughing. She created a barrier behind them by testing for where the field was, and encasing the area just outside it. Then she flew up to the surface street with little effort by levitating herself up through the emergency exit. ******** yeah, it was good to have her powers back.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick followed the group out and feeling his power return he could feel the sides of himself inside as well as the sides of those near which had touched. He felt significantly better than he did not that long ago. One final thought went back to the woman who spoke to them inside. He watched Lisa perform her act and was slightly impressed and laughed a bit.

Natalia popped out of the door quietly, seeing the enemy retreat. Fine. whatever. She thought. She kept the gun trained in his direction as she maneuvered to the stairs silently. The moment she got to them she ducked into the nook on the other side, and jumped up a level like the enemy had done before. As she crossed the hall above she fired on the stranger. She needed him to back off. The enemy from before was wounded, and if everyone else was retreating, there was a chance. She tried to knock the woman out.

The smallest lark could carry it, Anna at first heard the sounds around amplified all at once then she rapidly took back the reigns and regained her control. "FINALLY! God I hate that," Anna said aloud happy to have her power back. She danced around happily for a few moments till she noticed what Lisa was doing. "Hey what is that for?" She called up to Lisa.

The man smiled for a moment when Selene dropped to the ground. He was only this way for a moment as the shots from Natalia. He panicked as a few went past him and one struck him in the leg. He dropped his revolver and started to crawl away wailing in panic.

Selene laid on the ground barely moving, trying to get herself back onto her feet. She heard someone coming up the stairs from behind her and based on the heaviness of the steps, she already knew it wasn't Arwin. Selene turned over and saw Natalia as she tried to take a swing at her. Selene raised her arms and blocked the strike, but it wasn't by much. Selene knew she couldn't fight fully back against this girl. Not with her current injury.
The 'Elite', codenamed "BattleGear", walked in through the back door and made his way towards the staircase that led up to the stage. He was following the tracker placed on Selene. As he stepped up onto the stage, he watched a girl try to land a hit on Selene but she flipped over and blocked the attack. "I suggest you do not do that again. If you prefer to keep your life, you will leave now and not strike another blow in her direction." The Elite lowered his arms and the two yellow bands around his wrist expanded to form a gauntlet over his hand. "If you try anything, you will not leave here alive." The two men behind BattleGear kept their rifles lowered, trying to keep a passive stance with the woman so that this engagement would go without a hitch.
