((I will be playing as Terra until Scythe returns.))

Terra rolled her eyes at his comment about paparazzi catching them. ” Yeah, since you’re sooooooo bad,” she retorted. ”I don’t care much about what people think of me anymore. And you won’t be fighting anyone. Behemoth is on our side, I believe. I remember reading his profile.”
”He is? Wait, isn’t he the one who’s almost always naked?” He shook his head. ”Yeah, Behemoth is a confusing name. It’s not exactly hero-ey.” He made a mental note to come up with a name for the Titan that sounded more fitting for a hero. The changeling made another mental note to keep him away Terra since he seemed to have a hard time keeping his clothes on.

The green Titan took a few steps to the door when a peculiar scent had entered his nostrils, thanks to his animal-like sense of smell. He stopped at the door and raised a hand, signaling Terra to stop. ”Something’s not right,” he said. ”I’ve smelled some pretty gnarly things in my life, but this is different. It smells…..manufactured. It smells like something you’d find in a lab or something.” He thought back to his early childhood, spending days with his parents at their work. He remembered the scents of chemicals to this day and although this new particular scent was never part of their work, his instincts were telling him this was not the smell of someone trying out a new cologne or perfume.

Suddenly there was a scream. Both Titans jumped and Terra bounded for the door. Gar caught her in an instant. ”No, Terra! You don’t understand! I think it’s a gas! There’s nothing we can do right now. Break a window. We’ll think of something later, but we have to be safe to do that!” Terra was shaking violently as he held her back. Being the leader she was, she hated the idea of staying in a room while a teammate was in trouble. Gar didn’t feel great about it either and appreciated her dedication, but they didn’t know what kind of gas it was. What if it was poison? He took the turtleneck part of his uniform and pulled it up so it covered his mouth and nose. Terra took a pillow case, ripped it, and wrapped it around the lower half of her face. She then went to the window and opened it wide. Gar took the bed sheets off the bed, rolled them up, deactivated the automatic door and stuffed the fabric at the bottom of the door to prevent the gas from getting into the room. Terra was fuming that she couldn’t help the others, but Beast Boy was right. They wouldn’t be of much help to the team if they were caught in the gas themselves.

Now with the room secure, Gar pulled the communicator off his belt to send a message to everyone, but Nightwing had beaten him to it. He was informing them of the gas and requesting backup on the East side of the city. The changeling had been right. It was gas, and fortunately it wasn’t poison. Scarecrow was up to his old tricks apparently. Just what they needed, more villains coming to Jump City. But there would be time to whine later. The two Titans looked at each other and after a quick brainstorm decided that they both should go to the city. There was nothing they could really do about the gas situation. Besides, BB remembered that there were two Titans—Toxin and Black Rose—who could absorb the gas. Surely they could handle it. The new Titans in the city needed help and since Gar and Terra’s powers weren’t relevant to gas, they may as well go help in the city. ”Nightwing, this is Terra,” she responded into Beast Boy’s communicator. ”Beast Boy and I are coming to help.

”And I saw Toxin and Black Rose here earlier,” the changeling added. ”They can take care of the gas. We’ll be there soon.” He clipped his communicator back onto his belt and turned to Terra to find her standing on a large boulder hovering outside the window. BB turned into a hawk and they both took off for the east streets.

The Count

User Image

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Count sat in his apartment testing the new little 'toys' he had created at his base. He had one apartment on every street in Jump City. That way if he was attacked at one he could temporarily move over to the next. It was a good system that had worked very well for him. He had created a few different pouches full of differently purposed balls. Smoke, explosive, poison gas, knockout gas, and other specific things. He was contempt and quiet until a gas filled his lungs. He began to see things. People killing each other, his home burning. It was not possible there had been no warning it was all wrong... then it was right. The gas. He heard of it before in minor cases he investigate. The Count grabbed his mask and put it on. the air filter that was built in would help him but some of the gas had already taken effect. He put on his gloves and belt that he had tied the pouches to and he moved outside.
This situation was not better there. Just out of his apartment a man was attacking people with a pipe. Then the man came for him, and Edmond put him to sleep. He grabbed the victims head and sent enough electricity though to pacify him. Then he move on. Most of the east street residents were riddled with fear. He could not help them stop the illusions but he could keep them from harming others. SO he moved from person to person putting them to sleep the same way he had put the first man to sleep. they would only have a minor headache when the woke up but that was not really his problem. He was running out of power and there were still many people he needed to 'help'. His efforts had caused a large drop in chaos caused by the innocent people but he had not done a thing to stop the chaos cause by Raven or the other titans.
The Count came upon a street light in the mist of the chaos and he figured that since most people would assume it was in their head he had nothing to lose by taking in the energy. Plus the gas mask helped hide his face. So Edmond extended his arms out at a lamp on each side and immediately as if a bolt of lightning. Sparks struck out from the lamps to him. Then the rest of the street lights joined in and it looked like he was the center of a Tesla Coil. The power surged from the lights to him and his eyes turned from dark blue to a very bright blue. Then it all stopped and he doubled over. Edmond did not normally take in high amounts of energy at rapid paces but the fear toxin already in him had wiped his mind of the side effects. He felt as if he would vomit but held it in. His shirt had been singed in several places where burns now showed over his body but he had to keep moving. The electric man stood and moved forward he put the rest of the citizens to rest in the east streets and then doubled over onto the ground. There had not been as many affected as he feared but he was also worried about the affected heroes. He could not just put them to sleep they could fight back, they could overpower him. Once he regained his breath, if no help came to stop them, he would try.
Edmond only hoped this had not reached the rest of the city. He hoped it was contained to the east side. Because no matter what power he had he could not safely put an entire city to sleep.
Conner Kent/Kon-El
SuperBoy
As Raven’s attack headed straight for him Conner shot off a few blast of heat vision in an attempt to deflect the attack. It was useless in a last ditch effort to avoid major damage he raised both arms to block the attack. It slammed into him sending him back skipping across the ground. When he came to a stop Conner laid still for a moment it looked as if he was out cooled. The attack done more damage than expected but he began to pick himself up. He had to shake it off in his mind he was fighting for his life, he would not be brought down so easily.
Picking himself up he got Raven in his sights, he clone comment replayed in his mind. But it gave him an advantage if he had one it meant she underestimated his power. He took off heading at her in a blur. He would attempt to slam into her and attack her with a fury of melee punches. He would see how well she could handle hand to hand, he would use his speed to avoid her attack and use his power to hurt her. He may of been a clone but he was a kryptonian clone and would fight till he couldn't any more.
Raven
『 Seed of Trigon 』
Dark Raven smirks when she senses someone else tries to use weak magic to stop that rampaging man another man has come to join the fight. She is enjoying the rampaging emotion and tension in the air, her father will be please but she has no intention to bring her Father over to this realm, of course she wants to keep her 'toys' to herself. When she senses a strong wave of magic in the air, she is surprise, it is the same weak magical signature from before but how did it suddenly grown so powerful.
Her eyes look around for the source of the magical signature before she can find it, she spots a a large White tiger racing in the air, she sees to remember this creature from the many books she has been reading. And soon Dark Raven notices the Fear Gas clear from the streets, whoever that was, is a powerful mage or some sort. The Seed of Trigon turns and stops the Kryptonian Clone in his tracks with both her hands. She may not be as strong the Superboy but under the confusion of the Fear Gas, she might be able to beat him, she magically blast Superboy at point blank, hoping to knock the boy unconscious.
During their flight to the city Terra had told Beast Boy to get to the team. She wanted to take some time to clear some rubble to the sidewalks to keep the streets clear for any ambulances or police vehicles. Gar was unable to argue with her since he was in an animal form, but he wouldn’t debate it even if he could. He agreed with the plan. The safety of the citizens would have to come first. Terra would have to take her time with it though since there was a limit to her energy. She probably would likely arrive late to Nightwing, but surely the leader would understand. Hopefully the gas wasn’t poisonous.
As they got closer to the city, they were relieved to see people moving about under the cloud of gas. However the two Titans weren’t rejoicing. The people down below weren’t suffocating, but their erratic behavior was troubling and worth noting. It wasn’t the first time Jump City had been attacked, so seeing people panic in the streets was not rare. However this time the citizens seemed more scared than ever before. There were civilians in fetal positions, some running around mindlessly, trampling over each other. At first the two Titans thought perhaps they were afraid of the gas, fearing it was poisonous. But if that were the case, wouldn’t they calm down after realizing they were still alive? They had been in the gas for a while, so they would’ve had time to realize the gas wasn’t poisonous. So why were they still acting they way they were? Terra and BB decided the reason must be because of the gas. They also decided that there was a connection between the gas attack there and the one in the Tower.
Beast Boy’s enhanced vision in his chosen animal form enabled him to see the team before Terra could. He gave a squawk to let her know he was moving ahead before changing his course towards his teammates. Terra wished him luck and began to slow her speed so she could concentrate of the rubble.
It took the changeling less than a minute to get to the rooftop Nightwing was on. He turned back to his human form and landed beside the Titan leader. ”Yo, I don’t think the gas is poisonous. The people seem—“ He was cut off when his eyes saw Raven. Her gestures, her facial expressions, the extra set of eyes and the fact that she was fighting Superboy told him she was no longer the same. ”No,” he managed in a whisper. He had knowledge of her struggles and her dark destiny. She must have made the ultimate choice for the sake of the team. But Gar couldn’t let himself think that. ”That’s just the gas, right?” He looked to Nightwing, his eyes beginning to swell with tears. ”Whatever it is….the gas did that. Tell me she didn’t—“ He held his head in his hands and began pacing around the rooftop. With a trembling hand he pulled out his communicator. ”Raven has….. His voice broke. ”Raven’s gone. She’s now Dark.”
He let the communicator hang at his side as he looked up at Nightwing. ”Now what?”
After Beast Boy had gone ahead, Terra had gone to work on pushing fallen debris to the sides of the street. She was slowly hovering a safe distance above the ground that she was above the gas while still maintaining a good view of the streets. She had moved closer to the fire stations and the hospital, clearing paths near those spots. With the roads clear enough for emergency vehicles to pass through, she moved to a rooftop where she dismounted from the landed the boulder and sat down. The work had exhausted her and she was uncertain if she could’ve kept it up for much longer. ”I’ve done what I could to clear the roads” she spoke into her communicator. ”It’s not perfect, but the space is wide enough for vehicles to pass through. I haven’t cleared all of the roads, though. I’m going to have to rest a moment before continuing.” From above everyone on the streets seemed like ants. She pulled out a pair of binoculars from her belt to better survey the area below. She could see a civilian in an obvious rage-state. There was nothing she could do to stop him without getting herself affected by the gas. She would be of no help to anyone if that happened. Fortunately she wouldn’t have to worry about that. A man in a gas mask had gotten to him. Sparks of electricity made it evident that this was no ordinary civilian, and by the small amount of power he used to subdue the man, Terra knew this guy was trying to help. At this point they could use all the help they could get, but she decided that she should still let the others know about the man in the gas mask.
She reached for her communicator to call it in, but Beast Boy’s voice had beaten her to it and gave her the news. Raven had changed into her dark form. She and Terra didn’t exactly have a great history, but the Earth-manipulator knew that Raven’s grudge in the past was for the sake of the team. Over the years running her own team Terra grew to respect and admire that. And back on the shore they had officially made their peace. But now the possibility of a friendship was uncertain now. They weren’t close, so her heart wasn’t broken, but her sacrifice was something to be admired. ”I’m sorry B,” she spoke into the communicator. ”We’ll figure something out somehow. For now, there’s a man in a gas mask subduing civilians. I don’t think he’s hostile, but I’m not sure that he’s a Titan. I haven’t had a chance to meet everyone on the team—“
Out of the corner of her eye she had spotted a white blur flying around the city. Terra had caught a glimpse of it before it had gotten far. It looked like a large white tiger. ”Guys, do we have a flying tiger on the team?” she asked dumbfounded. ”Because there’s a large tiger flying around the city from above. Should I engage?” Before Terra could act, the tiger was circling around. That was when she noticed the gas begin to fade. ”Titans, forget that last question. Whatever it is it’s taking of the gas.”
With her strength returning and with the team’s position in sight, Terra put her communicator back onto her belt and flew to them. She landed the boulder on the roof and went to Nightwing and Beast Boy. She put a consoling hand on her boyfriend’s shoulder before looking to their leader. ”What do you need me to do?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Edmond took the mask off when he could tell it was no longer filtering the air. He dropped it to the side and looked around. The gas was gone but the city was clearly not yet safe. That girl on the rooftop who was fighting the Titan's seemed to be the largest risk of destruction now. The Count looked at his hands as they began to spark and then up at the girl. He was gauging exactly how much power he would need to use to knock her out without causing permanent damage. However this was not a fight he wanted to enter. Attacking a titan or former titan could never end well if he did not completely understand the situation.

What he knew was that a titan had turned bad and fear gas had taken over the city. The gas was gone and the girl was not. If he did try to knock her out and fail he would be left far to open for her to strike back. He could be killed which was not his favorite idea. Edmond raised his arms as if to be pulling back a bow string and at that moment a bow made of electricity and an arrow appeared in his hands. The arrow was notched and the string pulled back but he did not yet release. He had to aim. When he saw Raven was occupied dealing with superboy he released the arrow made of completely electricity. It soared through the air in her direction and he moved for cover. Into an alleyway.

Normally hiding would not have been his first move after an attack but this was a new type of enemy. He wanted to see how she dealt with the arrow and was hoping that is would be enough to put her to sleep. But that was not the only reason he was hiding. When he had taken in almost all the power from the East Street he had nearly ended his own life. It had been far to much far to fast and hurt very much because of that. He was taking every chance to catch his breath.

Pain make people stronger...

The Heir of Seimei sits up on the ground to watch the happenings after what her deed, the air is clear from the 'Gas of Fear' but the effects will still grip the people for some time. Onmyouji watches as the boy with the 'S' logo on his shirt fights with the Gothic witch, the dark witch is someone she will not mess with right now, the dark and chaotic vibe from that witch will stop her from doing so anyways. When two more heroes join the two on the roof, Maya guess it is time for her to leave the area, she is not good with people anyways.

Still Maya stays and watches when another indiviual tries to attack the Dark Witch, "Those fools, that girl is the seed of Trigon and Maya, you should mind your own business and stay out of it," a winged black serpent with body as thick as a tree trunk appears by her side, it is one of her Shikigami; Touda. "Maya, I mean it. She is way above your level at the moment, youare powerless against her," Touda informs her once more. "Touda, I am not planning to, I will just watch how they deal with it anyway that girl is making a run for it soon," she mutters, Touda curls his tail around his Mistress as if it is fearful that its Mistress will go against his advice.

Maya sits there on the ground as Kudakitsune scurries over her, she smiles gently, the mouse-fox stops on her shoulder and nuzzles her gently, the Heir of Seimei smiles happily. "If things get too dangerous, I am taking you to safety," Touda informs her, he is not seeking for her approval but just letting her know. Maya touches Touda's back gently, "Thank you, Touda," the winged black serpent says nothing but nods.

Nothing can describe how he feels when he finally hears Terra's voice over the commincator, he is glad that the both of them are safe at least. "Roger that," he replies into his comminicator, he jumps back when Superboy attacks them on the roof, he pulls both Miss Martian and Batgirl back from the Heat vision's path. When it is over, he goes over to the edge and sees Superboy engaging with Dark Raven, "Superboy, do not engage..." he knows his voice will not reach Superboy in time. He looks at Miss Martian, "Miss Martian, I have a kryptonite, I will attach it to one of my batarang and throw it near Superboy, to weaken him enough to stop form him engaging Raven, when that happens, I need you to mentally knock him out and I go bring him here," Nightwing informs M'gann. He looks at her, "Can you do it?" he asks, of course after what happen to them, he do not want to stress Miss Martian's body.

When Beast Boy joins them and announces that Raven is no more, he looks down on the ground as he feels he should have done something to stop it from happening. He is their Leader, he is suppose to have done something to stop it. Nightwing understands he does not have all the answers but he is sure of one thing. He will get his dear friend back no matter. Nightwing looks at Beast boy with a serious look, "We will get our Raven back...I will die doing so, " he informs the green Changeling. Nightwing stops and notices a strange creature racing across the sky of the city and it does, the Fear Gas too starts to clear. He is not sure what creature that is but he is sure of one thing, it helped to clear the air from Fear Gas, so it is not a Foe.

Nightwing looks at Superboy, soon d**k notices another individual attacking Dark Raven as well, he calls out to that male, "Do not engage!" seeing it was too late as an arrow was shot at Raven. "Damn it," he hisses, he is not sure how Dark Raven will deal with this, they need to know how much of 'their' Raven is still inside, if she is inside, she will run for it for it. Raven always seen herself as a potential danger towards them which explains why she withdrew herself form them from times. And only 'their' Raven will do that, he is sure the Dark Raven will stay and fight them off.

Jinx
Titan and former criminal

User Image Jinx had her traditional smirk back, not the Plasmus was down and out for the count. Pink cat eyes glance at Black Rose to answer the plant mistress, "Whatever you do... make sure he stays asleep. Only when this guy is conscious is when he automatically turns into Plasmus." Roshni glanced around the wreckage in the hall, looking for anything and anyone else that could be here. Plasmus was a rampaging monster, not a master planner.

After the Gothic sorceress was certain that there wasn't an immediate threat in this part of the Tower, Jinx reasoned that the rest of the structure would certainly need to be checked thoroughly. When Aria mentioned that she was checking on Syren's Room, the pinkette nodded whilst her cat eyes continued to scan the wreckage -- when something caught her eye. A slender eyebrow arches upward, Well, well. What do we have here? Jinx discovered a fist-sized orange and black metallic ball with a lens.

When the hexmistress picked the device up, she was aware of the origins of the ball -- who's lens focused on her. Jinx's eyes widen slightly and then narrow with a harsh glow, as her logic locks on to the mastermind behind the assault ... hissing at the device, "Slade... Of course, you would be the one responsible for this, you one-eyed b*****d! We'll... be seeing you later, you English p***k." Jinx charged the device with a hex designed to shut the camera down by rendering the power cell and whatever explosives within inert.

Jinx then proceeded to bring her Titan communicator toward her face, pressing the switch on the side to transmit, "Jinx to Nightwing, it appears that that the military precision attack against us has been brought to you by none other than one of our favorite megalomaniacs: Slade. As Black Rose reported, Plasmus is down, and we're going to make sure he stays asleep until we ship him where he needs to go. As soon as we're sure that Syren and Behemoth are alright, I'd like to make a full sweep of the Tower to make sure that Slade didn't leave us anymore surprises. Please let us know what you want us to do, Nightwing."

If this is the 'main' Plasmus, would the copies elsewhere just melt away since the guy is unconscious?

Epic Irony

Black_Wolfs
Just letting you know, since the camera would have transmitted to Slade up until Jinx shorted the thing out. xd

Beast Boy placed his communicator back on his belt, but had trouble doing so as his hands were shaking. What Nightwing had said about getting Raven back was not exactly what the shape-shifter needed to hear right now. One of his best friends was gone and the city was tearing itself apart. He didn’t need to think of the possibility of losing another friend. Gar ended his pacing and took another look at the battle. Superboy was a rookie, but he was relentless. He was returning blows with Raven, now sending a beam her way. Gar was feeling exhausted by everything that was happening, he couldn’t scream at the rookie to stop his attack. He didn’t even notice the electricity-based arrow until it had come into view. The already erratic Beast Boy held his head. This was not going to be good.

Gar wasn’t worried about Raven when that beam was going right towards her. She had always been a tough cookie and could take care of herself, but now…..well, she wasn’t Raven anymore. Certainly she could still take a hit, but now all Hell on Earth would break loose and go after Superboy’s head, and whoever shot that arrow. Nightwing was making plans to knock the Kryptonian unconscious, but that still wouldn’t solve anything. It just seemed like everything was falling apart at the seams. The team had been able to keep the city safe for years and it always seemed like they could never lose a step. But now for the first time since the Trigon incident it felt like the end was just around the corner for the Teen Titans. And they had prevented what was expected to be the end of the world! Who would’ve thought things would fall apart after that? Beast Boy had to turn his back to that fight. It was too dangerous for him to fly down there and try to fight off Superboy. He could get caught in the beam, or worse: face Raven’s wrath. Nightwing had a plan and it was best not to do anything that wasn’t part of it. So the shape-shifter turned away and tried not think of what could happen.

As Gar was trying to think of something he could do, he overheard the message from Nightwing’s communicator. He threw his hands in the air when he heard about Slade—and that Plasmus was the source of the gas release in the Tower. He wasn’t surprised that Slade was back. The mastermind falling into a volcano was just too good to be true. It was Plasmus that irked Gar more. A long time ago, during an attack on the Tower, the ooze monster had gotten in through the plumbing system—particular through Beast Boy’s toilet. Things were already bad enough with the gas in the city, Slade’s return and Raven’s current situation. Plasmus had probably entered through Gar’s toilet for all he knew. Well, now it was official: he was getting rid of the toilet, or at least throw it out. If the team didn’t have Raven, Slade and the city to worry about, the changeling would’ve rubbed it in his teammates faces for giving him crap about not using his own toilet in his bathroom. But now wasn’t the time.

The green Titan stood where he was, looking at the ground. He was mentally screaming at himself to do something. He couldn’t think of an elaborate plan of his own, but he knew they needed more time to figure out a way to deal with Raven. He decided distracting her and getting her away from civilians would be the best plan right now. ” Nightwing,” he spoke up, ”How about I try to distract Raven? Maybe I can get her to chase me and I can lead her away from here. It can buy us time to figure things out.”
