"That would suck, actually. Yikes."
She shook her head at mention of her family. "Dad's a Grim, Mom is Clockwork, though. If anything, all I really have is an excellent sense of time. Mom says all Clockworks come with an internal clock of their own and that it will always keep perfect time."

He thought about it. He lifted a finger--then lowered it. "Ok, I only go around wailin' 'WHHHYYYYY' if it's really, really, REALLY off key. I broke that habit when I was about... ten. Almost. Sort of. Seriously, there are some really bad singers out there, you know," he had to justify. "An' it's worse if there's more than one doin' it--especially if they're not in tempo OR on key--"
He took a drink. "Or if they're really loud an' off key," he added.

She laughed. "Sounds like you've got your irk pretty in control then when there's so much that could go wrong. Must be a pretty good player yourself then." She took a small sip of her water. "Or practice a lot to work your way up."

She laughed again. "I believe you. I'll have to listen to you play sometime...again? I think I wandered into your music club set up once, but that was a while ago and you didn't play for long before we chatted a little bit."

"Sure," he said. "It's a date. But... y'wanna go somewhere else before we head back to school, or are you ready t'go home?" he asked. They were in town already, it wouldn't be much work to find something else to do!

"Hmmm..." Roch said, thinking about it for a moment. "Well, we could try dancin!" he said. "But I ain't very good at it--or we could go over to the carnival they got set up not far from here--they got some good rides! D'ya get sick when going upside down or anything?" he asked her. She HAD seemed interested in going fast, so he figured she'd like a roller coaster! Oh, but last time he'd gone on a one time date to the carnival--well, that was then, this is now, and he seriously doubted she'd want to experiment with makin' out on the scareis wheel. Although, seriously, the memory made him grin a little now.

"I'm not that great of a dancer myself, unfortunately, so I guess that works out." She laughed, leaning back onto her arm again. "But a carnival sounds fun!" Angeline grinned. "They're full of noises and excitement....and being upside down only bothers me if I do it for a long time." She answered.
"So I think that sounds like a fantastic plan."

Roch lifted a hand, calling the waitress over to pay, then stood. "Sounds good t'me!" he said, moving to her chair and touching her arm so she knew where he was. "Y'ready?" he asked. "I wanna get outta here before the band tries t'give me s**t," he said with a grin. "They're just jealous, y'know," he added.

She held onto his arm as she got up, other hand against the table to keep herself steady.
"If they give you crap, I'll hit them for you." For emphasis, Angeline flexed her arm - which wouldn't have been an impressive display of muscles even without the jacket she was wearing. "But I might miss, so better get out of here before I have to live up to that."

Roch laughed and tucked her into his side, heading off into the crowd of people before the band could get a time off. demon_pachabel Shall we wrap this up with them heading off to the carnival?
