Satsuki and Isphet, two completely opposite girls. There was one who seemed more loopy in the head than the actual loops she performed, and the other who must have had the largest stick up her a**. Luka glared at the crowd and used his aura of badassery to scare them away. He hated the attention. The look on Isphet's face and the question of Satsuki had posed to him made Luka shrug his shoulders. "I did not ask for it, but when you actually do things in the village instead of sit on your asses all day then people tend to notice you. The only person who's attention I seek is Lord Jashin." Luka said with a sudden depth to his words. Whenever he spoke of his god he always came off as preachy and absolutely loving. A lot of people hated that, but no one dared say something about it. One time Luka had been sitting in an eatery when a fellow shinobi had mocked his god. Luka introduced them shortly after. Coincidentally that had been the first time Elizabeth pinned him to a wall with her sword.
"The killing is for Lord Jashin. The suffering- well, that's for me."
Satsuki clasped her hands together at Luka's words and squeezed her palms so that they accidentally made a farting noise.
"Uhh, whoops! Anyway, that reminds me, we should start training or do something instead of standing around here making small talk," she reminded them cheerfully.
Satsuki glanced first from Isphet, whose expression was pretty cold throughout their entire conversation, and to Luka, who was not the most approachable person. Her eyes stayed on Luka though; when he talked about his Lord Jashin-guy-thing (he can't be the god of marshmallows or ice cream, can he?) his expression changed drastically. It was almost as if he were talking about a lover or something.
Huh... so he didn't like it either. Interesting. Of course it was only Jashin's attention he wanted.... Very devoted grunt then... Isphet nodded slowly, feeling like she had a better understanding of this man.
The girl however... was a complete mystery... tumbling about, super cheerful all the time it would seem. Did she have anything between her ears but air? As long as she didn't bowl into her, Isphet would tolerate her... Who knows perhaps the fidgeting one could be useful... A nice distraction...
Luka shrugged his shoulders at Satsuki. If she wanted to train she may as well and go for it. No one was stopping her and this place was as good as any other. "What do you want to know? If it is ninjutsu I can supervise and advise. I know mostly weapon and physical styles. I have a rough knowledge of other sorts of jutsu, but I doubt comprehension will be too difficult." Luka spoke, scratching at his chin in thought. He really hoped that Satsuki was not some sort of illusionist or wiener projectile user. Luka preferred any sort of fighting methods that got right up in the face of the enemy. He wanted to see the fear in their eyes just before he sent them to Jashin. Luka loved the feel of blood splattering on him and reveled in the screams of agony. On the battlefield he was more alive than ever. People who chose to fight from afar were not worthy of Jashin's embrace. Realizing that Isphet had chosen to remain quiet Luka turned to her and nodded his head. "And you? Are you just here to enjoy the sun?" He said rudely, of course meaning if she said yes Luka would perceive her as lazy. There were plenty of things to be done and training did not have to be that. He was talented enough to split his attention between two girls. It would not be the first time.
"The killing is for Lord Jashin. The suffering- well, that's for me."
"Thank you for asking," she said, grinning impishly and holding up the scythe in one hand and the chain in the other as if making a presentation. "This, my good lady and sir, is Anaconda. It's my kusarigama. All of my techniques kind of revolve around it, since it's a two handed weapon. So I'm going to buff up on my taijutsu, 'cause ninjutsu really isn't my thing. I'd probably get my fingers sliced off trying to make seals holding this baby," she rattled off cheerily.
Satsuki slipped the scythe back into its halter at her thigh and whipped out a scroll.
"My best bet is the Kyoketsu Shoge, I think. So, let's get starteddd!"
I really didn't intend to make her an idiot. I guess it's just the idiot in me coming out.
The very atmosphere suddenly began to brighten, the grass and flowers of nearby windowsills somehow becoming more vibrant and lively as a lone man walked down the cobblestone pavement of the street, a hand on his hip, absently rubbing the twin scabbards placed there. They were a reflective sheen of black, the well-oiled leather apparent for all to see. However, should one get closer, they would see the countless nicks, indents, and marks that crisscrossed the worn, dark material, clearly the veteran of countless battles. The scabbard itself had been wrapped and re-wrapped countless times over Shinji's ninja career, meticulous care being taken to always keep it in as good of condition as possible. Shinji had gone through countless blades, sometimes breaking them in a single battle, but he had owned and used the same scabbard for nearly 20 years now, a gift from his long-past grandfather.
As the young man walked through the street, he whistled a jaunty tune, eyes gazing over the civilians, many of whom respectfully moved out of his way, well aware of his fame and prowess. As he approached the genin, he stopped, eyeing them all sternly, before tapping Luka gently on the shoulder."Battle Island, all of you. We need to be prepared. Luka, you already know what's going on."As he left, he left a rather ingeniously hidden note, slipped along the groove of his Decapitator's Knife. It read: 'I don't have a team, but I'll take you on as an apprentice of sorts if you wish. You have prior experience dealing with defense, and if I end up leaving with Tsukikage-sama, I'd like to at least leave one person who isn't entirely useless.'
"I grant you permission to die."

With a list at hand Atsuma roamed the village looking to fufill each and every assignment written on it. He'd start with the D ranked missions since they were supposed to have been completed when he was still at the academy. It wasn' necessarily him being lazy, but at the time the boy was involved in a complicated relationship with a certain girl. As a matter of fact the two still had...Something of the sort. It was in fact the popular girl who he rejected publicly. The two had grown alot since then and felt a certain warmth whenever they were together. The problems started rising after graduation. She wanted to live together with him, but the connection he had with his home was much too strong. She also wanted all of his attention. Atsuma did in fact love her, but he wouldn't change. At least for a little bit. "Atsuma...ATSUMA!" A construction worker shouted before banging on the boys helmet. "Wake up your shift is over. Geez day dreamin' all the time I swear to God!" Atsuma volunteered to help in the construction of homes for refugees coming from raided villages. Atsuma for whatever reason couldn't stop thinking about the girl the entire time. "Maybe I should have..." He said before getting cut off by the construction worker. "Get outta here!!" Taking off his helmet, Atsuma checked off a mission from the list and tried to find a place to wash his face. Cement was annoying to get off that was for sure.
If there was one thing Atsuma loved in life it was making children laugh. His next task was going to be all about that and he couldn't be more excited. The job was at an orphanage run by a moody old lady that didn't want any entertainment in the first place, but the owner of the orphanage absolutely loved shows. Knocking on two big wooden doors that most definately needed to be replaced. Atsuma awaited a greeting or a question, but was met by silence. That was most definately odd since the children never went on field trips or things of the sort. Just as he was about to knock again the boy heard a whispered hush. A very scornful hush at that. "Hmmm" The old lady gasped with a dropped jaw at Atsuma. The boy had kicked the doors out of their bolts and flat on the ground. "I am very sorry m'am, but i think your doors are broken..." He said feeling truly sorry.
Atsuma promised to pay for the doors as long as the old lady allowed him to entertain the children. Looking down at them, they all reminded him so much of him and his friends back at the institution. These children however would never know such a horrid fate. "Story time." The story at hand was a very special kind. It had no author nor illustrations. The children themselves would make the story. "I will begin the tale, ehm...There once was a lonely turtle. His shell was far too long..." The story mutated into several different things thanks to the hyperactive imagination of the children. It ended up with the now Over Lord Omega Supreme Delux Turtle Princess of the Moon fighting off invading sea creatures and ultimately dying at the hands of her lover, Maxwell. After the story Atsuma gave the children piggy back rides, lifted them up onto his shoulders and showed them his taijutsu moves. The real crowd pleaser was his kekkei genkai although mostly the boys thought it was cool. The girl were creeped out just a little until he made them flowers with his bones. With all that done the boy checked off another mission.
Apparently a gang of misfit cats had taken a back alley as their head quarters and were attacking anyone that passed through. They weren't necessarily dangerous, but it was just very annoying especially with their leader who never shut up. "A talking cat huh?" Atsuma read the mission details while walking towards the location. "Very eccentric, rude and prideful. Eye patch and hook for a hand. Pirate jokes make him lose his temper. Known abilities are academy level taijutsu moves and a supposed "secret" technique that he only shows to those he is about to kill. Most notable weakness is cat n**." Atsuma had no idea where he'd get cat n** so the boy found himself on his own for this mission. Then an idea popped up in his head. A quite ridiculous one as a matter of fact.
"OK!! Listen up gang! Apparently to Wester Hell Hounds think they can mess with one of our own and get away with it!" Atsuma observed the cat leader amidst the cat followers. The only thing he had on that resembled a cat were Neko ears. They bought it which was all that mattered. "This means war! Tomorrow we're gonna launch a full scale a**-" The cat leader was interrupted by a rather odd looking cat in human clothing. "Is war really the answer here?" Atsuma asked earnestly. The cat leader must have popped a blood vessel. "AND WHO THE ******** ARE YOU AND WHY DO I HAVE SUCH A p***y CAT IN MY RANKS!?!??!?!?!" Atsuma ascended above the creatures on both legs and stared down at them. Very carefully he took off the neko ears to reveal his true identity. By the end of the day they cats and dogs made a treaty and the cats promised to find another base. Atsuma's diplomacy powers were simply too great to be defeated by mere felines. "Check"
Atsuma thought more and more about the girl who entrusted her future life to him, but was rejected due to his inaptitude. Maybe she was the cause of his month long hiatus after graduation. Maybe if he mediated things would calm down in his head. That's how he usually avoided problems and maybe it was good sometimes, but he couldn't rely on it forever. Either way the boy had a mission to fufill and walking around with his head in the clouds wasn't going to help. His job was simple, watch the two children of a wealthy elder of the village. There didn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary in between the lines so Atsuma just went with it. Besides, kids were his specialty.
"I trust that you will take good care of my children young man. God knows that the last 178 baby sisters couldn't hoho. Cheerio!" Atsuma bowed in respect as the elder left his children in the boy's care. With a sigh of relief Atsuma started examining the house. Such luxorious things scattered everywhere. Such a waste in Atsuma's eyes. Earthly possessions were meaningless. The only real valuables in life were family, friends, allies, masters and love. During his travels throughout the large estate Atsuma across a massive painting which had the mission's contractor together with what Atsuma assumed to be his wife and two children. "Ah they must be the-" A loud shatter coming from somewhere nearby interrupted Atsuma. Going towards to what he assumed to be the source of the noise Atsuma met the two children. Devilish grins stretched across their faces. It seemed the broke an expensive looking vase and intended to blame him. "Oh...Well what do we have here?" Atsuma asked with an innocent smile.
The village elder returned home to find his children mediating together with Atsuma. Their expensive clothing replaced by more humble attire and all their toys donated to charity. "Ah, why hello elder-Sama. You have two gems here who behaved splendidly." The elder didn't know what to say. What had the gennin done to his kids? "I think I will take my leave now. Good day to you sir." With the smile only Atsuma could fabricate he left leaving behind two enlightened individuals.
Kokoro awoke a while after her attack in the training grounds. Hey eyes opened slowly, taking in her surroundings. She saw a white ceiling with bright lights built into the panels. She turned her head to the left side and saw a bunch of machines with medical information. There were heart rate monitors, blood pressure monitors, and other things that were checking levels of certain things in blood. Kokoro made no effort to try to understand what these were connected to. Instead, she just turned her head to the other side and looked out the window towards a beautiful day. In her current state, she only wishes that she could be out there, but it was time for her to rest more. Her body didn't want to remain conscious for much longer.
It was a few hours later when she opened her eyes again. She felt a bit more energized, but still kinda weak. She took a pretty heavy blow from the raiton ninjutsu from one of her attackers. Kokoro sat up in her bed and looked around, now remembering what she had seen before. She realized that she was in a hospital room and those machines she saw were connected to her to keep her in a stable condition and would alert anyone if she went into shock. She put her legs to the ground and pulled out the connections she had to the machines. She needed to stand up. Once she took a few steps, she noticed Tochisame sleeping at the foot of the bed, on the ground. She made a small noise that she had always made to him when she called him and woke him up from a nap. The wolf awoke and happily came to his master's side. The two walked out of the room and began the process of regaining Kokoro's strength.
The two had met with one of the doctors and Kokoro was given back her belongings. She and Tochisame had taken a stroll around the hospital and knew to stay there until she was fully recovered. So, while they were resting, they decided to get something to eat. There was a cafeteria-like area where Kokoro was able to get a meal of seafood udon and also a plate of rice with shrimp curry. Tochisame was given a bowl of dog food mixed with some fish scraps from the kitchen. He was quite pleased with his treat. The two sat in an open courtyard and ate leisurely while Kokoro was recovering.
Personal Attribute: Scaled Wolves: Kokoro's wolf partners that she has with her have been genetically modified with the Hoshigaki DNA at their birth. Their fur fell off and was replaced with a shark-like skin just like a Hoshigaki's. These wolves are quick and agile like wolves and have a resilient, thick skin like a shark's. The scales give a resistance of 1/2 rank to any taijutsu. Raiton techniques deal an extra rank in damage to the wolves. These wolves can use all of the Inuzuka Clan's techniques just like the regular companions, but are also are capable of moving through the water just like a shark, and rather than having a wolves fangs, the wolves are equipped with a shark's teeth.

Atsuma made his way into the massive hospital, which many called the village's pride, hoping to fufill yet another contract, but the person he was supposed to meet was nowhere to be seen or found. Atsuma decided to give up looking since the person of interest was probably in the middle of something very urgent. His meddling would only cause stress. "Hmm?" The boys stomach growled at his owner. It had been quite some time since his last meal. Fasting was very good for discipline both physical and mental.
Making his way to the caf Atsuma couldn't help, but smell the delicious food being prepared for the patients and visitors. Atsuma valued food as if it was gold to a business man. It wasn't a gluttonous feeling, but more of respect. The sight of wasted food pained his heart deeply. The less fortunate rot while the rich bathe in their spoils. Atsuma took a plate of rice even though the cafeteria lady insisted on him eating something else. "No, no thank you m'am. This is quite alright. Thank you for yoir kindness." With a slight bow the boy left herto find a seat. Scanning the room Atsuma found a familiar face among the small number of people present. Walking over to a girl accompanied by her pet, Atsuma gave them both a smile. Atsuma's smile which was known for being the most welcoming in the village. "What a pleasant surprise finding you here Kokoro." Looking down at Tochisami Atsuma gave him the same smile. "And if it isn't Tochisame? You've gotten so much bigger!"
