A tiny smile was the only answer Thrain received from the dark skinned mare, since Medea addressed them before she could say anything else. Instead she placed a finger to her lips, head nodding towards the petite figure that was speaking to them all.
When it was time to come forward to take up a badge, Nergui waited for the guardian to take his own, then choose one of the same color before following him through the portal.

"Remi!" he called, but spared the kitsune a nasty high-five with his wicked claws.
"Hey, it's just me," he laughed a little at Mort's reaction. It sounded slightly nastier than usual - or was that just Mort's imagination? Aymet didn't seem to be aware of how different he'd become since he awoke from the strange dream they'd both been trapped in.
Aymet listened attentively to the plan, itching to do something. He liked everything about it, until she got to the pins. Aymet gave them a suspicious squint. Hearts? Following Mort's example, he picked up a pink one lightly with the very tips of his claws, as if it was covered in Princess Corner glitter, and followed his fellow student-slash-initiate out.
Lan was 50 shades done with your s**t Mengyao. "I am going, and really." She snorted. "Try not to be so obvious." Tossing her hair back, Lan picked up the green heart, twisting it in her fingers.
She'd do her job, then go gossip to Lifen about his looks.

Night is a cowboy. There are some places in Halloween where there are no cowboys allowed. Night is close to Space Mountain. Character: Woody Position: Disney Hero Level of kids yammering to meet him: A lot! Several of them insist on asking why his name is Woody.
Night hissed as they hit the human world and he was....clambering around in some kind of weird outfit. The urge to take off the giant head resting on his was high until his eyes focused on the surroundings near him.
Humans, Humans all around. jack be damned, There was humans piled like pretty little fish cakes on a platter right next to him. He turned the giant head, taking in his surroundings....Was this...space?
"Hey Woody!" A little kid looked him over and tugged on the thing Night was inside of hands, "Where's buzz and andy!?"
"er...On Break kid." Night tugged his hand away and slowly made his way...away. What kid looked at a guy and called him woody, that name was just asking for it.
Oh but wait...he was disguised...as a Woody? Hmmmm....

"Ohhh yea I had heard about that congratulations!" She steepled her fingers as a large grin slipped across her face. Meixiang's ego was only showing just slightly. "But of course. I've learned a few new dances too so it's been a learning experience. I'm thinking about looking into a assistant teaching job at one of the local dance studios actually."
The smile slipped from her face as quickly as it had appeared. Medea began to speak and soon her attention was turned to the bustling of bodies. She hadn't even noticed Mort's reaction to the other two initiates. Though she knew they were there she had little time to slip in any greetings to either of them.
At least it wasn't just her or Mort.
If Mort was feeling guilty about being here without Belladonna, Mei was feeling a bit weary that she hadn't seen Eisheth anywhere in sight. And that left her with a hallow feeling in the pit of her stomach. Even still, she was a big girl and could take care of herself for the most part. She hoped.
So in pure big girl fashion she took the purple badge once they were offered. Her favorite color of course. But who knew where it would lead.

Really there was no choice really. He should have probably gone somewhere, or with someone, that meant he would need to meet new people.
Though honestly, he still was not sure a few of these horsemen would no decide to up and shank him at any particular time.
So with a wave of his blue tails, he grabbed a pink pin and followed after the three initiates.

Unfortunately Mort did catch that hint of nasty, Aymet. It was the start of something fresh and new. And for now fresh and new meant guilty and frustrated with himself and before he could apologize -
- whoa, what? When did it start getting humid in here? Wait hold on. He was wearing a whole new costume now? Having prepared to be a human, he hadn't expected to literally feel his new skin . . . No, not skin. This was more durable. Plastic? Leather? Whatever it was, he was covered in it and suddenly transported to a realm he was not ready for.
Tomorrowland.
The Central Plaza nearby was buzzing with people as they poured in from some other part of this . . . amusement park? Is that what the humans would call this? It was so bright and sunny and dear Jack gross. But as Mort turned to see that he was in the shadow of a giant ride called Space Mountain, and that the humans had rather astounding technology judging by the lit up tower at one of the other rides, he began to determine that maybe this time things wouldn't be so bad -
That is, until human scarelings noticed he was there.
""MOM, LOOK IT'S BUZZ!" "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command!" "Bzzzzzzzzz!"
And before Mort knew it, he was swarmed by a group of them tugging at his limbs, alternately saluting, praising, asking about someone named "Woody" and someone else named "Jessie", and begging for an autograph.
"Mrrr-?!"

The fact alone that Shik didn't pull away from her, or snap at her with some hurtful remark (that she probably would have scoffed at, anyways) was enough. Her lips twitched up even more, as she carefully smoothed down the feathers, adjusting them, even fixing his hair in places. There was nothing weird about it, to her. She just thought that everyone from war should at least be presentable. It wasn't weird that when she finished, grey tainted fingertips found themselves trailing down his face, brushing against his collar bone. No there was nothing strange about that at all. It was just a way of talking without talking, a way of saying she did enjoy his company, and was glad he was there, even if in front of others she would never admit it out loud. She had dropped her gaze and glanced to the scars that were visible on his shoulder, a satisfied smirk tugging on her lips, his grumbled words, which were mostly inaudible, making her raise her eyes back up to his once more.
There, the surly bear had been soothed. Well, partially. For that small moment. Actually she probably had barely done anything at all. Oh well, she wasn't going to begrudge him his foul temper. It was one of the many things that she enjoyed about him anyways. How boring would their odd relationship be if he was just calm and complacent all the time?
She turned away from him when Medea spoke, moving nearer to where the other woman, and Eris and the other heirs, stood. She listened carefully to the Priestesses words, eyebrows raising at the badges, and at the mention that these were the keys to their victory.
They just looked like ridiculous little hearts to her, but who was she to question the great head priestess? She waited for a time while the others began to depart, brushing wings with all those of war who passed, and locking eyes with Thrain when he returned her wolfish grin, then changed it into a smirk, her golden eyes blinking in surprise before a large and mischievous grin spread across her own face.
He was learning. She would turn him to the ways of war yet.
Thera was a welcome sight to Shaheen as well, though she had not spent time conversing with her yet. She gave the other woman a pat on the shoulder, and laughed at Shik's grumpiness, because it meant that she really hadn't done anything to sooth his sour disposition at all.
"Just save a few for me." She cast him a sidelong glance as he exited, hand hovering just over one of the orange badges before she shrugged and plucked up a red one instead, then made her way to the portal as well.

Alex showed up all disheveled, but not because he had been woken up from sleep. Well, he had slept, but it was more like he had just been knocked unconscious by an unseen force just so Medea could summon him, which he could only assume she had done to everyone, horsemen and initiates alike. Anyways, he was all disheveled because he was always all disheveled. This was a perfectly normal state for the zomboil to be in. It was also completely normal for him to show up late, shuffling into the tent just in time to hear the tail end of Medea's words, hidden away behind a wall of horsemen and a few initiates that had gotten their much earlier then he had.
By the time he shuffled his way to the front, Mort, Mei, Aymet, Remi, and another student initiate he wasn't sure he'd had time to meet yet were gone. He had no idea where they had all chosen to go, having not seen which color of badges they had picked, but he glanced at those that were available, eyebrows drawing down in thought.
Blue? Mort liked that color, didn't he? His fingers reached towards that, and then stopped as he glanced towards the red badges. They were really nice, and he really like the color red. Maybe he should just.....And then the green caught his eye, and that was it. Green, like the fabricated kingdom, like the King of Om, and perhaps even more importantly, like the color of Yin's eyes (well, Mort's eyes too, but Yin's were much more fun to gaze into, sorry bro).
He reached for that pin, certain that surely Mort had gone that way as well, then shuffled his way over to the portal as well.

Occasionally she'll also get the troupe of Japanese fangirls that just wont let her go and keep on saying over and over again how kawaii she is.
