Erin O'Hare
xxxxxxxxxxThe Mechanic

After Erin was done eating her lunch while she sat at her post, she put away her things and stood back up with her tool box in her hand. Lifting her SSP in her hand in front of her face she checked the time. She also noticed a couple of notices about some broken slot machines and some some of the lights and some leaks in their bathroom sinks on the residents floor. Letting go of the panel she decided to head to the casino first to fix the slot machines.

On Erin's way she saw Yuuma and the captain in the kitchen she looked a bit distressed. The curiosity burned in her, but she waved it off she had things to do and her and Lady weren't really in that type of relationship where we shared things like how we felt and other things like that. So she continued to to walked across the bridge and into the casino. Quickly she found the broken machine and looked at it to see what was wrong. Luckily for Erin it was only a coin jam, and same with the other one. Once she was done she grabbed her tools and left the Casino and got back to the bridge.

The mechanic crossed the bridge and went down the stairs to the resident hall. She looked at her SSP to see which rooms they were and headed towards them. Once she got to the first closest room she knocked on the door. I split second passed and she was greeted by the friendly face by a man around the same age she was and she smiled at him looking at his bright blue eyes and floppy brown hair. "Why hello sir, I have came to assist on a light problem," she said in a welcoming and well mannered voice. "Right, come on in," he replied to her in a very attractive Australian accent.

"Are you enjoying your stay on the Royal Sky Mr...?" she paused for maybe to see if he would introduce himself.
"Abel. Luke Abel," he told her sitting on top of his desk with his arms crossed over his chest as he watched her check his main ceiling light. "And it has been wonderful so far," he added with a charming half smile.
"Well that is good, It seems to just be a faulty light bulb so I will be back in a few and replace it," she said cheerfully. Luke walked Erin to the door. "I am Erin O'Hare, if you need me with anymore help with any mechanical issues with your suite and the ship," she said wave goodbye to him for now as she walked down the hall to the next room that was two halls away.

Erin stopped by the supply closet and grabbed a box of new light bulbs. She quickly went to the three other rooms. Fixed a leak replaced two light bulbs and headed back to Luke's room to replace his light bulb. She knocked on the door quickly adjusting her hat and wiped her hand on her overalls. She didn't want to look too much like a mechanic, especially in front of a really handsome Australian. "Back so soon?" he greeted her when he opened the door. " I only had three other rooms to attend to," she said walking into his room and went to the ceiling light.

"Three other rooms? That was really fast for three other rooms," he said observed her. Erin could feel his eye on her and she kind of blushed. She took the old light bulb out and replaced it with another one and turned around to see that Luke was still looking at her. "Well my work is done," she told him "I hope you enjoy the rest of you stay Mr. Abel," she added heading towards the door with him trailing behind her. They both waved goodbye and Erin went back up to continue double checking the rest that was on her to do list.

Yuuma briskly walked through the hallways, moving his upper body in accordance to the traffic he encountered and made sure his bow did not tip anything. As he traversed the hallways, he saw a glimpse of Erin with what seemed to be a box of new light bulbs. She's always on the case with these maintenance things, isn't she? Perhaps he could visit her later on. Bring her something nice.

Yuuma briskly stopped in front of the firing range. He was too deep in thought about what he would talk to Erin about that he failed to notice he wasn't INSIDE the firing range. He stood outside like an idiot as people passed him by, not wanting to anger the second hand. Maybe if he saw Loxus or something, he might snap back. Erin filled his mind for now, and he doesn't know if it'll affect his bow skills.

Another one push. It seemed like people in the hallways never knew that the crew had things to do. Loxus could semi make it out. Might be that he was used to it or something. He might be a little bit late now. Using the little Elemental 'Blink' thing might work better. But then again, using it always was felt like cheating. To Loxus, it might be a last resort, maybe. The only one that he liked, was the 'Gravity' one. He loved jumping off high buildings. The wind, the excitement, as the ground quickly zoomed closer. Then he would get off without any injured bones what so ever. Before he knew it, Loxus was next to Yuuma. He always looked so sad to him. His face was a little out of it. Loxus waved his hand in front then gave out a long. "Heelllooo? Anyone home?"

With a blink, Yuuma returned to reality with the sight of Loxus's hand waving in front of him. Yuuma made a noise of acknowledgement, but one really couldn't tell if he was angry or if he just couldn't add tone to the grunt when he makes it. He rubbed the bridge of his nose and looked at Loxus.

"Good. Go in when you're ready." Yuuma said. He never liked it when he did something with someone and they weren't prepared enough. Expedition missions into planets was a primary example. People say they want to go, but when it's Go-Time, they chicken out. So, Yuuma made sure he made one more confirmation before heading into an activity. Besides, it'd give him enough time to sort his thoughts about what to do when he goes to Erin.

Mind-boggling. To think, someone as "emotionless" as Yuuma would have one of the biggest crushes on the Royal Sky's mechanic.

Meet the guardian.
xxxxxxxxxxIntroductions? Raven
❝ If you touch a single scale on her, I'll end you. ❞xxxxxxxxxx

User Image
• Name: Raven
• Nickname: Scary.
• Age: 25
• Gender: Male
• Race: Dragon
• Personality: Harsh and unforgiving, Raven is unwilling to give a inch to anyone unless it's his sister, at which then he gives a mile. His fighting skills are unmatched, Human or Dragon, but actually prefers to try to relax when his sister isn't in danger but is easy to provoke. He does not in a sense look down on humans, but rather just hates them. Raven prefers natural environments to man made ones, and wants to take his sister somewhere beautiful one day.
• Biography: Raven was a young dragon at one point, living with his elders in a bit of a carefree lifestyle in a grassy canyon bottom hidden in the back parts of California, though his parents were trying to raise him otherwise. Being a dragon isn't so simple after all. But they enjoyed reveling in his innocence and were made a bit softer by it, which ended up being their down fall.
Men assaulted their living place, tactless in nature, they were trying to enslave them to use their fire for travel purposes, which in all seemed absolutely abhorred for a purpose. Raven tried to stay, but was sent away, with something in hand; a egg. His parents were holding it back as a surprise; but it had simply made the situation wholly more shocking. Taking Kaida as far as his young unmatured wings could take him, he landed in a wasteland, death valley, where he tried to raise his sister.
Raven was no parent though, and he simply tried warming the egg, to even putting food around it as a naive attempt to coax her out. It was no use, his sister simply would not hatch. Chocking on the pain in his throat just from the feeling of him not being able to save his sister, he simply decided to stay in death valley until he died himself. He became a natural disaster in Death Valley, as he wrecked any transports going through, planes, cars, tour groups, who immediately realized that touring Death valley was stupid. Even the military was bested, as even facing brute force, the dragon suddenly adapted to cunning techniques to remove them. He became a force that people went out of their way to avoid.
Continuing his continual mourning lifestyle, Raven took a nap, as he could not feel any human presences nearby, thinking it was time for him to just be alone. He curled around Kaida's shell as let himself fade off into a dreary sleep, only to wake with her egg having disappeared. Leaving Death Valley behind a burning crater, he had hunted her down to a ship only to have found her recently hatched (Hoorah!) but also imprinted to a woman as her mother. (Boo!)
Raven lashed out to hurt the woman, only to have Kaida jump in front to protect her. She instinctively recognized him as her brother, but she wanted to know why he would try to hurt their 'mother'. Apparently, she had agreed to become their conduit for their ship, and she wanted him to do so too. Conflicted in so many ways, he begrudgingly accepted, though he still bares so much anger and memories on his back, secrets he holds to himself for his sisters sake.
• Powers: He is indeed also capable changing to a human form, one he is forced to uphold because his dragon form actually weighs down the Royal Sky significantly. His fire while in human form is held to a burning jet on his arm that propels him in the direction he chooses at insane speeds. The scales that he holds stops lightning, fire, and most objects moving at high speeds that are meant to penetrate, ice slows him down though.
• Likes: His sister, the open sky, nature.
• Dislikes: Humans, human made structures, closed ceilings.
• Fears: That his sister will be taken advantage of.
• Extra?: yum_tea
• Weapons:
His arm releases a sword on a chain that is connected inside his body from his arm that he can extend and dis-extend at will. Basically it is one of his claws.

LADY SUZUNSUKE && ANNA DE LARSA
RRIESxxSL WLYxxMExxANDxxKISS xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxTELLxxMExxWHAT'SxxURxxNAME??

Lady Suzunosuke stared at the food with a blank expression. No one would believe how grateful she was right now as she watched Yuuma leave. As expected, he'd have plans as she sighed somewhat with relief that he nor anyone else except the chef was going to see how much of a pig she was going to be as she leaned forward to start eating. Noticing something had fallen, she looked behind her to see the skullcap, the one that her second hand had left as she picked it up and placed it on the table, how rude would it be if she had just left it there? As soon as that though had passed, she started to eat, just like the glutton she really was. Forcing food by the pile into her mouth and forcing strange thoughts out of her mind.

Recieving not much of a response from Kaida, Anna simply smiled before turning back to the door. Either, thinking that the dragon had fallen back to sleep or that it would be best if the dragon was back with her brother as the human doll opened the door back to the nursery and walked back in with the small dragon. Looking towards the other dragon, Anna placed Kaida back in her bed and placed the treats next to her. Crouching down, she spoke in a light tone,
"Share them with your brother, I'll be back in a minute, okay?" She spoke with a small smile before standing up straight and bowing her head lightly in the direction of Raven before leaving. What was she going to do now? Probably go look for Lady Suzunosuke, she just wanted to talk for a bit. It would be nice if she did so, afterall, they were on the crew together, it was the best idea she could come up with. Not only that but she needed a break for once, she'd always been by Kaida's side. Today, she just wanted a little break and a small catch up session as she ran off down the hallways, leaving Kaida with her brother so they could chat and whatnot as she searched for the Captain.

It took some time until she came pass the kitchen and walked in, more or less for an apple for herself but noticed the captain there, looking pretty proud of herself. She'd ordered more and more food, having a small pile of plates next to her as she sat there, smoking her pipe to relax for a bit as Anna sat opposite her,
"That'll be taken off of your pay slip." Anna spoke to the notable older woman whilst taking a bite from the red apple then recieved a look from the blonde haired halfbreed,
"I didn't expect to get paid for this job anyway~" Hummed the simple minded female as she grinned before taking a drag and Anna continued to eat her apple. Both of them chatting some more, trying to get along when after a while, the tension of being uncomfortable around someone you didn't know well, had lifted. It'd just vanished, completely.

What's 'safety'?

Yuuma wasn't big on speaking. Or smiling, something about his lost of happiness. Loxus didn't really get it. He was always full of life or something like that. He walked into the room and placed pulled his strap up again. Tightening it this time, though. "No peeking yet!" He closed the door behind him. He couldn't let Yuuma find out that he had something out of place. It would have been a little embarrassing, and the Second hand took no prisoners when it came to anything. Loxus took his bow off his arm. It was pretty small compared to Yuuma's. He was more of an up close and personal type fighter. So he couldn't have a such a big bow. He pulled the string then tested it. It was okay, nothing wrong with it. Pulling 4 arrows out of his quiver, he inspected them. No problems here or there. Normally he didn't really care about the small stuff like that. But Yuuma was a little hissy when something goes wrong. Loxus jumped up, nothing was wrong with his tools. So he opened the door a little Then cheerfully said, "I'm ready!" Then just as quickly closed it.

Yuuma looked at Loxus then nodded, and stayed out till he announced he was ready. Yuuma walked into the room and slung his bow over to his left hand. If he held the bow at shoulder level, the upper part went about 5-6 inches above his head, and the lower part would be right at knee level. It was a normal hunting bow from the 19th Century, but obviously the quality was 22nd Century. He pulled the bowstring a few times to make sure it was taught, and he pulled out an arrow from the quiver on his back. For the size of his bow, the arrows he carried were too long. It was a meter long. If the length of the arrow didn't intimidate, then perhaps the force needed to pull the bowstring for maximum power would. It takes 70 pounds of force to pull the bow at a full draw, and Yuuma could only hold it at full draw for half a second.

If neither intimidates, then perhaps the arrowhead would. At first glance, it just looks like a pyramid arrowhead with scale-like structures that were pointed towards the shaft. But the arrowhead was designed to split open once it hits something. There was a reason they were called "Rose Arrows". When it hits something, the arrowhead "blooms" inside the target, and the scale-like structures burrows themselves into whatever is nearby, making the arrow nearly impossible to pull out without causing more damage. The only work-around it was surgery.

Something as vicious as the Rose Arrows were considered too barbaric even for hunting purposes, yet the demand for them rose through the years. Yuuma utilizes them in case of contact with hostiles. What was more pleasing than making the enemy regret ever attacking you?

Of course, Yuuma also had his officer's sword. He's never had to use it practically. He only drew it once or twice to quell a notion of mutiny aboard the Royal Sky. "Straight ahead. 150 meters. Stationary. Try to shoot the target's neck." Yuuma said. The first three sentences were vocal commands to the firing range's A.I. Target Setter. The last sentence was for Loxus. He was weird like that, especially when issuing commands. Sometimes, he doesn't even make eye contact with the target of his command. He figured just by hearing a directive that seemed to be in their line of work, they would hop to it.

Fortunately, every crew member on the Royal Sky was that skilled and coordinated that Yuuma doesn't need to direct the order to a specified receipient. He just says it. The people who are responsible for carrying the order out know who they are. It all works out.

Come, come!
Let's play a game~!

Kaida dozed off for a little while, not exactly fully awake yet. She was never fully awake. She felt herself being placed onto a pillow and halfheartedly jumped from her 'mother's' hands. Yawning, she curled up only to jump up a few minutes later. Sniffing the bag of treats, Kaida glanced over at her brother. He was not looking. Plunging her muzzle into the bag, Kaida quickly chewed and swallowed as many as she could without her brother noticing. Once she had eaten more than half the bag, she laid back. Wiping her mouth, Kaida wandered over to her brother on all four limbs. She hopped onto his back and sat there. She knew he hated to be sat on, and that was why she did it. It also helped her calm down if she was frightened.

A trick or a treat~?
How about both!

Ferra sat in her over-stuffed office chair and closed her eyes. The soft humming of the medical equipment was the only sound in the clinic. Ferra opened her deep blue eyes and ran them over the various shelves and glass-front cabinets, lined with various medicines and supplies. She crossed her shapely legs and stretched, closing her eyes once more. Her long dirty blonde hair hung in long ringlets down her shoulders and the back of the chair. As she tried to sit up, some of her hair got caught on a bolt. She gasped in surprise and slightly in pain.

In a fit of frustation, Ferra grabbed the rubberband off her wrist and threw her hair into a messy, loose bun on top of her head. A few stray strands fell in her face but she didn't particularly care. The white t-shirt she was wearing under her medical coat fit her womanly curves just so. Ferra was a looker, but, because she was often so absorbed in her studies and work, she hardly ever had time for relationships. Her stomach grumbled in protest to her lack of eating over the past 12 hours. She should probably go get something to eat.

Raven watched the doll come, regardless of how she bowed to him he chose not acknowledge her existence at the moment. Finally taking solace in Anna's exit and Kaida's return, he tried to relax and allow himself to lose the tensity in his body. The situation here had Raven on edge at all times, and he tried not to show it just so Kaida could enjoy herself. Raven was finally able to lower his head and close his eyes, when he suddenly felt a certain someone jump onto this back scales. Lifting his head, he turned his gaze over his shoulders to look at Kaida, a hard brow raised. What're you doing?

150 meters? His short bow reached a max of about 235 meters. But it only took about 40 pounds to pull it that far. But things like that he couldn't make up an excuse for. He love to have a challenge. But hated the thinking part. It was something that he should be doing. But it was to hard for him. Who has time to focus on something like that. Loxus grabbed his bow using his left hand. Even though most people had said he was holding it wrong, when ever he used his other hand. It would end up wobbly and shake to much. This one still moves, just not as much, and he got a much firmer grip on this hand. Placing a few arrows back into the quiver was easier. Doing it while having Yuuma look at him. He felt like he was defusing a bomb. Anything went wrong. He'd be toast and in trouble. As he perfectly placed it back inside. Quickly, he placed the arrow on the string. His elbow was pointing towards the behind his head, a little curved. His eyes were looking down the bow. He could see the play white doll at the end of the room. Not a real dummy Loxus wanted to practice on. But then again, you would never know what type of creatures you would find out on another Planet. They might be just like the dummy. Loxus was getting distracted again, by his own thoughts. Never needed anyone to yell in his ear, when he was thinking of the type of places he would be able to go to. The pressure pushing back from the string woke him up from his daze. For a few quick seconds, his mind was focused on the arrow and how it was pushed away quickly from his face. The string bounced back and hit him on the face. Jumping at the small pain of the mark it had left. All of it went a little to fast. He wasn't sure if he hit his mark. But he did hear a 'thud' or at least a 'Smack'.

Yuuma kept his eyes trained on the target, and didn't bother correcting Loxus's stance. It was clear he was comfortable with his current stance, and that was the most important thing. In a tight spot, if you feel comfortable, you can land a good arrow. If you're not, but you have good form, you'll most likely miss.

"Excellent. That arrow should sever the pulmonary artery, if our target was humanoid." Yuuma said, congratulating Loxus.

Then he looked down to see himself in a ready position with his bow and Rose Arrow. What was he doing with a Rose Arrow? He had 5 of them in his quiver of 18 arrows, but they were all surprisingly the same length. Yuuma put the Rose Arrow back into the quiver and pulled out a regular arrow. He drew to 75% and fired at the target, then saw his arrow sticking out of the target's collarbone level. Good enough. Yuuma somewhat felt that Loxus was the challenger kind of guy. The one that enjoys difficulties if the rewards are great.

"Three, spaced out 50 meters from each other. Armored class. 60 meters. These simulate biological organisms with a tough external defense, such as scales or hardened skin. Normally, it takes two arrows to the neck to take an organism like this down. One arrow right at eyebrow level will penetrate to the brain, rendering them useless if not dead. Shoot at that specified area for all three. If you're successful, you make it to my personal expedition unit, if you want to join."

He hit it? That was great and to get better, he hit an artery. It wouldn't be a pretty picture to who ever saw the body. But the target would still be alive, for a few minutes at least. Loxus made a note to talk Ferra about how to stop the bleeding of things. The only problem that Loxus had was the hit his face with the string. But that wasn't that big. It didn't normally happen. Only maybe every 20 shots. "Excellent. That arrow should sever the pulmonary artery, if our target was humanoid."

Even though Yuuma sounded like he was a little impressed. It still sounded like a small monotone. The pulmonary artery? That might be a little bit more messy then he thought. Yuuma had already shot one inside of the place that Loxus did. It went though it though. Lots of force with his bow. But it might have been heavier. Him join Yuuma's group? Would that mean give him more work? Even though it wasn't really that much. Or did it mean he could explore more places? It seemed like a risk worth taking. The targets seemed easy enough to hit. They were in range. The distance between them would be difficult though. Loxus grabbed three normal arrows. It was a little bit difficult to hold all of them. But he got it when he realized he could just place them between his fingers. But his plan? He was going to have to shoot them in a quick series.

Loxus placed the arrow on his bow. No time to think about what type of animal it might be. He just thought of a the speed for it. He aimed it towards the one on the far right first. Then took a sharp breath, pulled back the string 20lbs. Before he let go, he made sure again that he it was perfect, the arrowhead was pointing right on the creatures hairline, good. Making sure that he had the position. He let go quickly, then brought the next arrow in, turned, pulled, and shot, he repeated on the third shot. He had used a lot energy, changing his speed that fast and what not. He hated using lightning for things. Even if a person thought it was normal. It was still cheating to him. He looked back at Yuuma smiling. Hoping he was impressed by the speed. Might help him, or hurt him. Loxus asked,
How'd I do?

As Loxus took his shots, Yuuma looked at his Command Panel that was on his arm, then timed Loxus's completion. He could hear the arrows whizzing out to their targets, and the heavy THUD of the arrows landing. Fine shots. He could tell by the sound waves that Loxus had hit the targets at the correct area but...

"What?!" Yuuma said. His Command Panel was flashing a solid red color with the time outlined in black. It kept blinking until Yuuma shut it off, then started it again. He took his turn, and drew his bow with great force, shooting his arrows true and gracefully. Upon the arrow landing on the third target, he looked at his Command Panel. It flashed red.

It took Yuuma to comprehend what exactly just happened, but then he lowered his bow and gave Loxus a pat on the shoulder. "Congratulations. You beat my time for this exercise by 1.37 seconds. That marks the fastest time achieved by anyone on the Royal Sky for this particular stage." Yuuma made a faint smile. "You pass. Welcome to the Primary Expedition Unit, or PEU. We are the first ones to explore unknown territories whenever we land at them. I figured it'd be convenient to have you draw out maps of the unknown world if you were actually out on the field." Yuuma explained.

He walked towards the targets and began collecting the arrows so he can give them back to Loxus.
