While Jackal was on the roof four dark shadows entered the house. Jack sensed something or someone present but he dismissed it when he spotted a dark shadow of a bird flying above him. The dark shadows, had been the people Jack use to work for. They got the mission from his old boss to finish what he started. The four were as silent as ninjas but they dressed like burglars. As the four dashed quietly upstairs they each held weapons that could kill instantly. When they got up there they hid skillfully in parts of his room.

Caleb finished washing up then he left the shower and re-dressed Jacks vampire bite on his arm although by now it was almost all the way healed. After that he left the bathroom and headed back into his bedroom.

One of the intruders gave the signal to the others, then they sprang all sprang at him. One started strangling him with his nunchuks, another started punching at him, another was mauling him with a knife and the last was hitting him with furniture. As they assaulted him, Jackal was outside in the yard hunting for his necklace he dropped when he was on the roof.

Caleb looked up and blinked he thought he heard something. Next thing he knows he's being strangled, hit, cut. He was s caught up in the surprise he wasn't sure what to do first. First he had to get the one choking him off so he brought his head back and hit the guy in the head when he loosened up a bit he hit him hard in the gut with his elbow and now panting a little now that he had air he looked at the one cutting him and bringing a hand up he took hold of the arm holding the knife knocking it out of his hand. Then he looked behind him and coughed one of the chairs that was being used to hit him and he brought it back hitting two of the guys then looked at the final guy and kicked him hard in the chest. After he had stunned all of them he panted a little and stumbled towards the door.((I will warn right now, Fighting scenes, not my forte. So forgive me if they are lame.))

All of them fell back, only one got back up. He picked up the knife then inched after Caleb careful not to step on his fellow companions. He was really determined to do this job, and he planned stubbornly on finishing. He raised the knife, at the same Jackal shot through the window. When he went to stab into Caleb's back, Jackal came up and slapped him hard with the back of his hand. From a block over you can tell someone's bone broke into pieces. As the man fell to the floor, Jack swiftly grabbed the knife from the air and launched it at another man who was trying to get up. With a dark expression on his face Jack picked up the two remaining men up with monstrous strength."Who of you started this first? Answer or you bastards will go down like you're party. The easy or the hard way." Jack growled coldly he sounded calm, his eyes litterally glowing blood red showing he was no where near calm. No where near close to letting them free even if they gave him an answer. Even with a simple he did it will make him shove them so far into the wall, that they would have already swallowed several bricks before making another place for a window.

Caleb looked behind him when he suddenly heard the window breaking and Jack appearing in the room and suddenly killing off one of the assailants right off the bat then headed for the others he had that cold look in his eyes and it made Caleb blinked and quiver a little from where he was standing. Eventually he couldn't stay up and fell to the floor he panted a little and felt pain in his side from where he had been hit with a chair.The vampire about couldn't even answer he could barely breath. "The boy...needs to die...you...know that...traitor..."

(The most violent ever.) No longer unable to control his rage, he slammed their heads against the wall repeatedly head first."Lies! Lies! Lies!" Jack roared at them, his voice had risen. Jack then ripped their heads off and threw them outside the broken window. He clenched his bloody fists, as if he wished he could fight them more. After looking out the window at the heads, he walks over to Caleb and sunk down to his level, his eyes losing their blood red glow. He gave him a very concerned look."Caleb....Are you okay? "

Caleb could barely breath at this point as he watched him kill the other vampires one by one and throw them out the window. He would of scooted further away if he could but he was right up against the wall. When he walked towards him he just shivered in fear. "I don't...understand..." was all he could get out.

"Now do you take me seriously when I say you need my protection. They are targeting you because they believe you're a descendent of a rich lord. If you are dead or killed by one of them, and they take your body back to that rich lord they will become rich." He explained,his eyes moving to his hands that were still covered with blood. Then back at Caleb as if he expected him to fix everything from the beginning when it all started."Hold still, I'm going to see if some of that knife got into your cut wounds." he said when he got back from washing his hands and bringing a first-aid kit. Then hesitating a little he lifted up Caleb's shirt half way to examine them.

"Rich lord?" That made no sense he wasn't any decedent and if he was, why would he be living here in this dinky house. He looked at Jacks hands and gulped a bit and then looked away normally blood didn't bother him but seeing his hands covered it it was a bit sickening. Caleb just stayed put as he left and then later returned with a first aid kit. When Jack started to lift his shirt up he couldn't help but blink and his face turned a little red he looked away. "I'm not rich." he finally said.

"Yes, we usually believe every rumor we here. I think, I would know a mansion when I see one though. Don't worry about you're safety. Just be on guard, remember I can do very little in the day." He then got closer to the wound and squinted at it as he began cleaning it gently. Despite his time out fighting in the field he had some time to learn how to mend wounds so that he could take care of himself.

"I'm sorry, ok.." Jack muttered stopping for a few moments. Then he pushed away Caleb's hand and began again."I'll be a bit more gentle." The cuts were the main wounds that would need mending.

Caleb said nothing for awhile looking down at his wound as Jack cleaned it. "What...made you realize anyway? That...I wasn't rich..."

"Well you're not a snob. And you don't really have expensive stuff here. Just the everyday stuff you'd find in a home of this kind." He then got the bandages and began covering that particular wound, then started at the last two."This may sting some, but don't move. It'll take longer if you do." He examined them as he worked to see if there were some pieces of knife. Finding a few he took caution to take them out.
