Prophet overheard them talking, and smiled. "Well, at least they're not showing off like the rest of these people." Prophet said to himself, as he saw people talking about who has more money, or who's more important. Prophet didn't really care. He may be a prince, but he wasn't spoiled as a child, as most people are. Prophet sighed, then drank some more from his cup.

*Shortstraw was danceing like he was acting out some part in a movie, however he was having a blast. As the music played he would act to it the best he could, twirling keria alot, however at the end of the song, he dipped her really low, and as her leg would go up, he suddenly snatched the garder off with his teeth and threw it into the crowed of people before pulling her up and then going for a good kiss. Laughing, "that was fun!"

Kiera was blushing furiously however laughing and almost falling over as she gripped and held Shortstraw close. "That went better than expected." As the crowd applauded and laughed and some other couples started dancing to different music Kiera quickly dragged Shortstraw off the dancefloor. "How did I predict that you were wearing shorts under those pants." She chuckled a little although was still blushing and she kissed him again. Evelyn sighed and sunk a little in her chair. "How cliche." Mordekai however was snorting a deep laughter. Evelyn looked to him curiously. "I didn't know the devil laughed." Mordekai gave her a look. "Oh ha ha. Just because not everyone can be as grumpy as you. Now drink some more alcohol." He grabbed her glass and pinched her nose as he poured the rest of the champagne down her throat with a chuckle.

*Shortstraw chukkled, "i did say i was going to ware shorts, i was just afrade of takeing my pants off and everyone having the wrong idea." He chukkled. He then made a face, "i cant belive i'm married to a princess!" He held up a finger, "and... i want to have present time." He grabbed her hand and headed over to the table as he pulled a chair for her. He then smiled to Evelyn, "it's present time evelyn. Care to join us." He smerked, "andi said no more of that stuff. youve had more then enough."

"Oh jesus, present time. They just love giving gifts." Mordekai looked to her. "Mortals? I heard that you gave Kiera a puppy for her 16th birthday. And you've given them both gifts every year since." Evelyn's eyes thinned and the red patches on her cheeks appeared again. "We don't talk about that." Evelyn stood from her chair and flicked Mordekai's forehead. "Now you stay out of my business mister nosey." Mordekai watched her as she walked over to Shortstraw and Kiera. Yeah, she wasn't so bad, Mordekai thought. Kiera sat down and looked to Shortstraw curiously. "You know I don't like gifts.." She started cautiously. Evelyn was suddenly there leaning on the back of Kiera's chair. "You love them really~"

*Shortstraw chukkled, "well i like giving them. Becuse it shows how much a care, and i care ALOT." He placed the first one ont he table infront of her carfully. It was mid sized, but pretty heavy. it stood up tall. "This gift is for both of us, to always remember somthing..." As keria would unrap it she would find a Evelyn, in cat form, life size statue. The possition was with evelyn sitting down, with a paw up, with a middle finger. "To always remember how we got together and who made this all possable." He laughed. "i figured it would be a great remeinder." He winked and pointed to the bottem however where the legs and other paw was, there was a fairly sized black box, "and look evleyn has something to give you." He smerked.

Kiera was laughing and had to control herself but Evelyn was sizing up the statue. "Doesn't look anything like me." She said skeptically. She looked all around it and folded her arms over her chest with a grin. "You didn't even capture the beauty of my tail! I'm disappointed to say the least." She continued sarcastically. However as Kiera finally got control of herself she took the black box from the statue. "I think it does you justice, Evelyn." Evelyn scoffed. "Well yeah you would." Kiera then looked curiously to the next box and unwrapped it carefully. "However the message is decent at least. I am the matchmaker after all." She said proudly.

*Shortstraw chukkled, "i thought of that and just had to make it happen." However as keria opened the box he would find a orange and red, peral... "It's my gift to you keria. I know you like head beads, so i thought i would work on getting you some spechal ones i know you wouldn't have. Each one is real... and i've been using all teh money on my card for two years for it." He chukkled, "which is why i was always broke. Anyways..." he smiled and hugged her, "i know it's no crown, but i thought you would like it." He nodded.

Kiera hugged Shortstraw tight then gave him a long kiss. "I would have never wanted a crown. These pearls are perfect. Thank you Shortstraw." She smiled and admired the pearls again. Evelyn put her hands on her hips. "Real pearls eh.. How can anyone top that." Kiera made a face at Evelyn. "Don't say you've got me a gift." Evelyn snickered. "No, I haven't." Kiera sighed. "Thank god for that." Evelyn grinned more. "I got both of you a gift." Kiera groaned. "Where do you even get money? You're a demon cat!" Evelyn chuckled. "A cat has her ways." Kiera then eyed Evelyn. "What did you get us?" Evelyn smiled. "You'll have to see later."

Prophet smiled, looking at Evelyn. "I got enough money to buy a castle, but, I'm not selfish, so I gave her the money, and I wanted nothing in return." Prophet said, smirking at them. "I didn't you anything special, but I can't say the same to Shortstraw." Prophet said, drinking another cup of alcohol. How he wasn't drunk is not suprising, dragons are immune to most alcohol.

*Shortstraw smiled to evelyn, "why do i have a bad feeling about that." He laughed and hugged evelyn with his side and one arm, "Thankyou for supporting us Evelyn." He looked to the statue of her, "and i thought i did pretty good... i messed up in a few spots... but i got the eyes and the finger perfict." He laughed as he smiled to keria, "also! When you light up... i dont know if you noticed but you do when your mad, they will glow." He nodded, "and then they show something if they glow a certain way. You have to try it." He quickly pointed to a darker area further then the dancefloor lights, "come on over here and light up." He seemed alittle excited about this part.

Kiera looked to Evelyn with a confused expression and thought over to her. 'I really do that?' Evelyn smirked and nodded slowly. 'I don't believe you never noticed.' Kiera scowled suddenly as she started to walk over to the dark place with Shortstraw however still spoke to Evelyn. 'I think you're just saying that to spite me.' 'That sounds like something I'd do.' Kiera eventually got over to the dark area with the pearls, and before looking to him skeptically she did as he said and lit up. Evelyn watched grabbing another glass of champagne from a random table. Soon Mordekai was by her side again. "I've only seen you in your cat form a couple of times." Evelyn grumbled. "You just don't know when to get lost." Mordekai laughed and pointed to the statue. "I didn't know cats could stick up their middle finger." Evelyn scoffed. "This cat can." They were like embarrassing adults flirting.

*As keria lit up words appared on the wall. "I am keria, better start running." Appeared first as shortstraw laughed and pointed, "okay now the head peice a diffrent direction." As she would have a new message appear on the wall, "I am a goddess!" He smerked, "okay now there is only one more message left." As she would turn it again finally the words he didn't read outloud appeared, "I love you." Meanwhile he thought to evelyn, 'your not hooking up with kerias uncal are you... just becuse i'm not looking dosen't mean im no paying attention.' He snickered quietly.

Prophet chuckled, looking at Mordekai and Evelyn talking. Prophet then shot a small flame of emerald fire into the air. He then watched it dissapear, almost like it wasn't there. Prophet smiled at his handy work. he then noticed Keria light up, chuckling again. "You should probably listen to Shortstraw a little more Keria." Prophet said, looking at the pearls.

'Hooking up? I am the infamous Daemon Cat Evelyn! I don't Hook up. I claim. And I'm not even doing that.' Evelyn found the very thought worthy of a shudder. Kiera brought her hand to her mouth as she saw what these pearls could do. "This is.. amazing." She turned and went to hug Shortstraw tight. "You've really outdone yourself this time Mr Yokai." She kissed him all over his face until she was giggling too much. Evelyn sighed. "My my. Those two are always either kissing or.. not much else." Mordekai chuckled. "And what's so wrong with that? They're young and in love." Evelyn drank the rest of the champagne in her glass and folded her arms across her chest. "You know there's only one thing stronger than hate, and that's love. Unfortunately love can be overwhelming, and cause more destruction than hate does." Mordekai gave her a look. "You're very philosophical." Evelyn shrugged. "You should be too. You're much older than me." Mordekai snickered. "No one tends to listen to a philosophical old coot. I prefer to keep quiet and listen to what the young'uns have to say then do my own thing." Evelyn chuckled a little. "That's very deceptive."
