Cheetah? Wolf? None of these animals sound like something you'd find naturally on a remote Pacific island. Kaveri arches her brow as Bobby lists the various critters she's seen - the only things that sound even remotely natural here would be the iguana, the octopus (maybe on the beach?), the snake, and the bat... and maybe the komodo dragon, but that's really pushing it. "That's an unusual collection of animals," Kaveri remarks, thoughtfully rubbing her chin. "Some of them don't even sound like they'd be found natively here."
It's taking Kaveri a while to piece things all together, but she's starting to realize that this island isn't exactly a pristine homage to nature - especially if there are things like coyotes running around! The corner of her lip twitches as she mulls over this oddity, but she continues on following Bobby to the cafeteria.
"Huh, well. Either way, if I'm wrong, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to visit them, right? I want to get to know my neighbours," the woman nods.
Mm, whatever it is they're serving up at the cafeteria smells good... Kaveri hopes it's organic.

Bobby mumbled under her breath, "No, those animals are not native to the area...."
She looked over at Kaveri and smiled, "There is absolutely no harm in meeting your neighbors. In fact, I think many of them would enjoy your company. I know for myself it was a pleasant surprise to have you knock on my door!"
As the turned the corner, the Town Hall loomed ahead. And with it, the cafeteria. Bobby walked the last few strides with an unusual gusto. She was fairly hungry and needed to restock! Opening the big doors, Bobby stood aside to allow Kaveri to enter, "By all means...." She winked, and then lead the way to the buffet.
...What was that? Kaveri didn't catch what Bobby had muttered about the animals. But she doesn't really mind, and continues to follow her.
"I want to get to know people around here, y'know? See how cool everyone is, see what they're like." She offers a friendly smile, twirling a finger around a stray black dred, "that's awesome, I'm really glad Sabin pointed me your way. You're really nice."
She grins, and eagerly follows Bobby to the buffet. "Oh, man! Look at all of this stuff!"
Bobby smiled, "Well thank you. I think you're really nice too.... I may have to hunt down this Sabin and thank him myself." Of course, her version was probably different and included a few nice, 'if looks could kill' glares for stabbing someone like Kaveri with one of the injections.
"Everyone I've met are nice as well. I hear there are a few, not so nice people, though." She couldn't help but think of what Emelyn had told her the other day about being attacked.
"Dig in, compliments of the doctor....!" Bobby walked to the buffet. She tried to best to make the quickest combinations. By the time she was done she had six entrees and two desserts... with miscellaneous fruits.
"I look forward to going around the commune and meeting everyone," she nods, then sidles up to the buffet and picks up a tray. She deliberately looks over the entrees, picking up what appears to be a tofu sandwich and some veggie spring rolls.
While parts of the selection here is rather unusual -- raw meat?! -- there seems to be something for everyone. Kavvi grabs a few fruits and a packet of juice, but passes on the dessert. The presence of the meat makes the vegan wrinkle her nose with disgust, but the fact the buffet serves tofu makes up for that awful fact. She can only hope the animal was killed humanely.
"Man, this stuff is pretty nice," Kaveri says in regards to the food she's put on her tray, "but honestly? I can't wait until I'm able to produce my own food and prepare it myself. I brought over some vegetable seeds with me so I can start a garden. Would you be interested in helping me with that later?"
Bobby smiled, her first entree devoured by the time Kaveri sat down. She smiled, her face suspiciously clean. "I qould love to! I used to have a garden at home, but it wasn't the best. New York City isn't always the best place to try to grow your own vegetables. I am shocked you got them passed customs...."
She picked up and apple and ate that too; core, stem, and all. Starting on her next dish, Bobby looked up at the other woman, "Where were you from, if you don't mind me asking?"
Bobby seemed to be opening up a little more now that food was involved.
"Oh, you're from New York? I've been there once," Kaveri says as she sits down, picking up a spring roll and nibbling on it. While the fact that Bobby can eat an entire apple does unnerve Kavvi a bit, she doesn't show any outward reactions. It might just be who Bobby is! People have different eating habits, who's she to say what's right?
"I'm from Oly. Better known on the map as Olympia. It's a city in Washington," she says, looking rather happy as she speaks of her hometown, "the capitol of the state. But it's really peaceful around there, you know? There are a lot of community-orientated things there, like a community theatre and stuff."
Bobby smiled, "That must have been nice. New York was very fast-paced. While I didn't feel it was the right place to raise our kids, both me and Trevor were in love with the city and couldn't imagine living anywhere else." As much of an after-thought, the woman sighed. She really had loved the city, even with all it's corruptness... but she was stuck here, turning into a real pig this time.
"Did you have a family back at home?" While she thought Kaveri looked old enough to have broken any ties with her parents, one could never be too sure these days.
"That was kinda like me and Oly," Kaveri smiles dreamily, "I probably would have stayed there if I weren't offered the chance to live here. But everything is so nice here - it's a beautiful island, and I don't have to worry about anything here but the bugs."
"Oh, family? My mom and dad still live in Oly, although they've been doing lots of traveling lately. Hopping trains and hitchhiking to see the country, you know? They really love stuff like that," the woman grins, finishing her spring roll and moving on to the sandwich.
"But man," she continues, "it is really nice for me to finally have a home for once."
Bobby wasn't sure if she could stand the pretense anymore. She leaned back, setting down her fork. A frown was written over her whole face. "Well, you'll be here for awhile......" Sighing, the woman lost her appetite. Kaveri had parents and at least a lover at home.... she deserved to know she would never see them again.
"I don't know what they told you... but, this Island is a prison.... lavish, yes, but still a prison." Poking at her food with a long, flat nail, Bobby looked up at Kaveri, "When I listed the animals, I wasn't entirely truthful.... every one of them are humans.... turning into animals. The shot you received when you arrived starts the process."
She could hardly look Kaveri in the face, but she eventually lifted her eyes. "I'm sorry..."
"Of course I'll be here a while," Kaveri says, albeit a little confused about why Bobby is frowning, "I was invited to live here, since this is a commune and all -- and I don't intend to go back to America any time soon, not at all."
"A prison?" Kaveri repeats, but quiets down to listen. When Bobby reveals the horrible secret of the Island, Kaveri honestly can't think of any other way to react but with laughter - people turning into animals? That's impossible! Kavvi is starting to get the impression that her newfound friend is an avid fan of science fiction. "You've got a really active imagination, you know that? That's really cool! We should write a story together."
Bobby mumbled something about thick skulls as she looked to the side. Then she stood up, the pig a little irritated at being laughed at. "You are one of the rare people that came here of their own free will.... but you are just like everyone else in that you had no idea what was in store for you."
After saying that, Bobby moved to the side, "I am not very far along in the process... so I am not a very good model." The idea of her as a super model almost made her snort... but she was trying to prove a point here!
Liftinf her shirts, the woman showed off the extra siz nipples. Holding them up with one hand, she gave Kaveri a side view, her large butt hanging over with a small tail extending from her spine, "Does this look normal? You cannot even get surgery to get these things to look so real."
In her mood, her little tail wagged a little as Bobby was showing it off. She looked down at just the right time. Her eyes widened in a confused expression, "Humrph, it's never done that before...." The pig was easily distracted.
...well.
THAT gets Kaveri to shut her mouth well enough.
"Come on," she says, her voice suddenly barely audible. "It can't be that bad, can it?"
Well, at least not until Bobby gives her a little 'show.' She stares with wide eyes, trying hard not to drop her jaw. She knew there was something 'off' about the lady, but... six nipples? The tail?
"No... no," Kaveri shook her head, raising her voice and squeezing her eyes shut, "this is just from the shot ******** with my head. This can't be real..! Cut it out! Urrgh... maybe I should have just slept that thing off... I refuse to believe that any of this is real!"
She buries her face in her hands - she wanted to see no more. "I just... I should just... I don't know. If this is a joke, I want you to stop it now because it's not funny anymore."
Bobby put her shirt down and looked sadly at Kaveri, "Oh, I wish it was just a joke, because then I could go back to my kids, my husband, my family. I pray every day that I'll wake up in the morning to see my husband sleeping next to me... even to hear the gunshots echoing in the alleys would be a blessing."
She felt there was nothing else to do. The woman felt the day couldn't get any worse. Packing up the rest of the food, Bobby rested a hand on Kaveri's shoulder. "I'm sorry dear, I truly wish it wasn't me that had to tell you. We all have that person that exposes the truth... and you never forget them."
With one last sigh, Bobby flung the sack over her shoulder and walked to the door. She paused and looked back, halfway out, "Take care, Kaveri. I do hope you invite me to help with you garden. To get back to your duplex, just take the turn and head down. I'd take you around more... but I think you may want some time to yourself."

Fairy Tales (Village p.216-217) Colche :: Bobby The entertainment room was a rather noisey place when Colche was in it. Although she of course didn't need the volume up THAT loud she had it up any way. She happily watched the lion the witch and the wardriobe and had come out the other end wanting to be lucy, or maybe peter cause he had a big sword. The large plush couch had become her battle ground and the remote control her sword. She swished her arm back and forth, the 'sword' become a grey blur as she faught imaginary creatures of the white witch.
She was definately considering sitting down and watching the film again, it had bad wolves, not at all like ambrose, she knew that, and strange evil people and a bad lady who turned people to stone. She definately liked the beavers best, they had such cute voices. She wondered would Aubrey let ehr have a talking beaver? She would have to ask, but right now, she was too busy fighting the creatures to take much notice of anything else.Bobby had eaten her fill at the cafeteria. After packing her sack with some fruit and water, she had walked out, only to be bombarded at the sound emitting from the Entertainment Room. Curious, the woman walked over and silently entered.
Her ears were almost pained at the noise, but she got to watch the last bit of the movie. She was utterly shocked when the audience, the cheetah girl that she knew as Colche, stood on the sofa and was sword-fighting with the air.
Watching Colche was an amazing sight for her. The girl was fighting with her remote control, and the cheetah added grace and smoothness to the attacks. Bobby smiled as she leaned on the wall, her sack of food at her feet.
Finally, the woman clapped with a huge grin on her face, applausing the girl for her performance, "Bravo, bravo, Colche!"Colche stopped her 'sword fight' the minuite she heard a voice and she grinned in Bobby's general direction. At first glance she didn't recognise the woman but her nose told her who it was and she grinned, pointing the remote at the TV and turning the volume down "Sword fight like peter" she stated her tail tip twitching as she bounded over the couch ina swift, subtle movement and padded over to Bobby.
Her nose wrinkled as she walked around the woman, double checking it definately was her. Giggling she looked up at her "Bobby change" She liked the new chubbier bobby alot more to look at than the old thin bobby. She reminded her of the fat middle aged ladies whom always helped in stories, or maybe the little fat fairy in sleeping beauty. She wasn't sure but it made her grin.Bobby smiles, "Like Peter? Noo..." The woman chuckled, "I think you were much better than him, not to mention cuter." She winked.
With a long sigh, the woman nodded, "Yes, Bobby changed. She's turning into a pig, so no feasting on bacon and ham, alright? Could be like a long-lost relative of mine!" Even though Bobby was still upset about the change, it could have been worse... and she hid the fact that she was stuck here in a big, ugly body behind jokes and her usual good-cheer.Colche tilted ehr head a little and giggled "look like fairy" she stated wide perfect blue eyes perfectly innocent at this statement. She grins again a gentle puurr echoing in ehr chest "Merryweather" she giggles and hugs Bobby. "purty bobby fairy" she giggles and releases the woman again standing tall she grins broadly looking to the tv as the last of the credits rolled by "I wanna be lucy or peter" she grins. though she knew she wasn't a boy she wanted to be peter so she could have a big sword and destroy ugly mean things.A fairy? Now, that wasn't what Bobby was expecting to hear. Maybe a blob, like the Boogey character on the Nightmare Before Christmas. Truly, Colche was a dear! Although maybe a bit simple, but she had the heart of an innocent child. She probably would understand the loss of a family.... but what kind of family did she have? Bobby doubted that the girl had had a very good one.
Returning the hug, Bobby lifted Colche off the ground a little and moved from the wall so she could swing the cheetah around in a circle. "Well, thank you! And you must be my Sleeping Beauty!" She giggled as she set the girl back on her feet paws before she was released.
Turning to the tv, Bobby grinned, "Is that so? Why would you want to change who you are?" she winked.Colche looked at the tall woman her ears flickering for a moment she looked thoughtful "Wanna be like everyone else" she looked serious about this, her big blue eyes slightly sombre, she knew she was diffeernt, she wanted to speak and do things that other people did. She didn't want to be confused by things so easily. She wanted to be a grown up not just a child. Wanting to be or playing other people was her simple way of learning to be like everyone else.
The smile soon returned to her face though at being called sleeping beauty "hehe okay I be briar rose" she puurred happily. She padded about for a moment, delecate upon her foot paws as she sang a few bars from one of her favourite princess movies "I know you I walk wif you once upona dream" she giggles happily.Bobby's heart sank when she heard Colche's words. She leaned and gave the girl another hug, not able to resist the motion. "There is nothing wrong with you, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise," the woman was looking into Colche's amazing blue eyes, using sight as well as sound to emphasize her point.
The woman stood back up as Colche padded around and sang the song. She smiled as her heart cried. Bobby would have joined if she had known the words, but she was never around her children enough to see the movie in attempt to learn the song. She did know the melody, though, and hummed along to it as one of her fingers tapped on her large thigh.Colche smiled gently, her tail tip twitching gently, her innocent blue eyes resting on the large female "wanna see?" she tilted ehr head gently padding towards therack of DVD's and picking out Sleeping beauty from amongst them. She knew the cover well she liked to watch it, it had princesses and pretty songs and fairys and dragons, all the things that made a fairy story.
Taking a deep breath she paused, looking thoughtful she looked at Boobby and though she smiled ehr eyes were filled with an old sadness she always tried to forget "Princess now, never before island" she puurred quietly looking at her left wrist she didn't have any comprehension of passing time so she didn't know how long it would be before the callus dissapeard completely. Pasdding closer to Bobby she lifted her wrist "Not like cinderella, no fairy saved, Aubrey saved. Princess now, happy" she wrinkled ehr nose and padded over to the dvd player and decanting the lion the witch and the wardrobe in place of sleeping beauty.Bobby grinned, she would love to watch the movie with Colche. She bent down and grabbed her snack. Well, she had brought refreshments? Maybe not so much for the Cheetah, the only meat was jerky.
She made her way to the couch and sat down, leaving more than enough room for Colche when the girl returned.
Bobby considered Colche's words. So, the Island was not a prison to this girl, but a haven. This was her world a part from the harsh and horrible reality she had had as home. But the girl was wrong, this was a fairy tale... and not all fairy tales were happy, but she hoped Colche's would be.
After the cheetah put the movie, Bobby patted the cushion next to her, "Come sit by Bobby! She needs a Colche to hug." Her smile was sad. It was true... Bobby was feeling homesick and she thought maybe Colche would be able to comfort her while they watched the movie.Colche grinned and curled up close to Bobby, she rested her cheek happily on the womans bosom as she watched for the movie to start. "No be sad" the little cheetah girl smiled happilyntesling happily in to Bobby's arms "Island good, family, safe, home." she puurred quietly as she sat snuggled with Bobby, her world was better now than ever she could have imagined. The island was where she was safe, though she had of course been hurt recently. She had gotten over that knowing people were there and willing to help her all they could.
"like dee vee dees, is good, sleeping beauty" she puurred and giggled her blue eyes fixed upon the tv now, she didn't like to miss a moment.Bobby hugged Colche close, watching the movie. The Island wasn't that good, and her family wasn't there. It was pretty safe, it seemed, except for the heartache it tended to cause. She hoped one day it would feel like home... that would help her a lot.
She giggled, her stomach moving a little. "DVDs are very good. Did Aubrey give you Sleeping Beauty, or were they here?" Bobby wanted to know if by chance some movies were in this room. It might help so she wouldn't have to bring the ones that she had requested and were sitting on her shelf back at her duplex.
As intently as Colche was watching the movie, the woman wasn't sure if she'd get an answer. Although, it didn't really matter. She was enjoying the moment."deeveedees lives here" She says simply the smile on her pretty maw never fading. She liked to watch DVD's and the entertainment room was the best,s eh liked to sleep here somtimes and often dozed off in the middle of a film if she was tired.
The three fairys appeard on screen and colche pointed at the dumpy blue fairy "see, like bobby" she grins happily nesting further in to her large friend. Bobby was very snuggly now she had changed. She sighs happily, wtaching films with somone was so mucvh more fun than on her own. She could pause and speak to the person or ask them questions.Bobby nodded, understanding. So there was a selection here in the entertainment room. That was good. She would have to inspect that later.
At Colche declaraction, Bobby smiled. "Hmmm... I do see the resemblance... but I don't have any pretty wings like that." How could she help but smile at the thought. She wasn't sure, though, if she was as nice as the plump fairy.
After a little while, Bobby's stomach started to growl. Jokingly, for the woman knew full well the cause of the noise, she tweaked Colche on the nose, "Hey now, is that you?"Colche's ears twitched at the rumbling and she loked suroprised looking at her tummy when her nose was tweaked "uhm" she bit her tongue and giggled "Need chocolate cake" she grinned, in a wide, toothy manner wrinkling her nose as she laughed quietly. Tummy rumblings meant it was definately time for chocolate cake.
It dawned on the slender femme that she wasn't acctually hungry. She giggles and looks at bobby with a little giggle "Bobby tummy rumbly!" she grins and puurrs moving a bit so that bobby could get at her bag of food.Bobby laughed, "Ah! You caught me!" She winked and reached over for the bag. Pulling out some beef jerky, she offered it to Colche, "Would you like some?"
After offering, she also took out a couple fruits. They would tie her 'starving' stomach over until the end of the film, she was sure. Bobby nibbled on the fruit quietly and carefully. She didn't want to disrupt the movie, nor did she want to get Colche's fur all sticky.Colche's nose wrinkled at the jerky, she had had the stuff before it really ddidn't appeal too much to her. Shaking her head she nestled back in to her comfortable possition to fwatch the movie. She hummed and half sang along to the songs, she knew them from watching so many times.
"Bobby has big rumblies, like poooh bear" she giggles, she was comfortable and happy and not particularily hunry though she would certainly be in need of a nap after this movie. All that sword fighting had tired her out.Bobby shrugged and nibbled on the jerky. It wasn't pork, so she was perfectly comfortable with the act. As Colche hummed, she swayed a little in time with the music. Except for the one song, she didn't know the melody and so could not join in.
The woman laughed, for she was just compared to a stuffed bear! "Well, Colche..." Bobby paused, trying to think of a comparison. "Colche has a sweet voice and purrs like Marie." She wasn't sure if the cheetah knew of the white kitten from Aristo-Cats... actually, she was shocked she remembered the name.Colche giggles "everybody wants ta be a cat" she grins looking up at the woman. Colche had watched that film alot too, it was full of cats, little ones, but still cats. She knew she was a 'kitty' though that was in the broad sence of the word. To be more specific she was a 'princess cheetah'.
"Bobby purty fairy like merryweather n lots nice too" she gave a gentle, rather sleepy sigh as she nestled deep in to Bobby once again. She was starting to feel dozey. Bobby grinned and patted Colche's hair. So she did know who Marie was! After finishing the small amount of food she had taken out, Bobby re-wrapped her arms around the nestling cheetah. She gave Colche head a small kiss. "Thank you, dear. That means a lot to me," the woman whispered, turning her attention back to the movie for a little bit.Colche smiled softly, the warmth of the room and the comfort she felt nesting on Bobby,s he was kinda a big, squishy pillow, as well as the nice music of the film made ehr long blink. Her big blue eyes slowly closed and a gentle, vibrating but very quiet puurr echoed from her chest as she slowly dozed off cuddled in to Bobbys lap. She already knew the ending after all. She was happy to nap, just where she was. With Bobby the fairy.Bobby watched the rest of the movie, with the purring cheetah in her lap. Long ago, she had assumed Colche had fallen asleep. Manuevering with surprise ease considering her new body mass, Bobby was able to turn off the movie, grab her sack of food, and manage to leave the building. All the meanwhile with a specific cheetah princess in her arms.
Walking the length back, Bobby took Colche back to the cheetah's own duplex and rested her on the bed. Silently, tucked the girl in and gave her a good-night's kiss on the forehead. "Sleep well, precious Colche," she whispered.
Bobby left the duplex for her own, with her sack of food in tow.

Living on an Apple (Duplex 41 p.5-7) Alec :: Bobby They say you know you're a lover of music when your first waking moment (whatever time of day it happens to be) is filled with thoughts of music. Although this is no real testament to one's natural talent, some people tend to go with what they feel is right regardless.
Take our lovely irish boy. Strapping young lad.
Banging on his drums at the first lick of sunshine.
The choice for today's performance was rather ambiguous, as if Alec was attempting to actually create some original stuff for once. Maybe he was still hung over. Nonetheless, he was having a hell of a time playing by himself in his duplex, oblivious to the fact that it was still quite early in the morning. Bobby woke up in the morning, bothered by dreams of memories... but.... corrupted. They disturbed her and woke her up earlier than usual. She grabbed her sack and started her daily routine... to the cafeteria.
The pig ate her fill and stuffed her sack, as usual, with more food. She was about to walk up the stairs to her own duplex when the sound of a percussion set reached her delicate ears. Turning her head to the wind, Bobby realized it was further down the duplexes that the sound was originating. She walked her way there, sack over her shoulder.
Finally, she reached it. Bobby walked to the door and knocked as hard as she could, competing with the noise. When there was no answer, the woman let herself in. She closed the door and leaned on the frame, watching the punk-haired young man bang away at his drums. It helped make her feel like home.... now, it really just needed a base guitar for effectAlec kept right on going as Bobby let herself in, his eyes were tuned on the instrument as he played away without any notice to his surroundings. Eventually half-way through his little "bridge", the irish boy glanced up and caught sight of the... piggish lady in his doorway.
At this point he was oddly used to all the anomalies the island tossed at him, evident by his lack of surprise at finding some strange woman inside his duplex. He reached out quick and snapped hold on a symbol with his fingers to cut the sound short, now fully attentive of her presence. "G'mornin!" He chirped energetically, clearly awake for quite some time.Bobby smiled toothily, her bottom fangs glinting in the strange lighting of the duplex, "Good morning." She finally looked around the place it noticed it a mess. Not that she really minded, it was still better than some of the places she'd been.
"Are you hungry?" the woman nudged the sack of food at her feet with a toe. She still hadn't left the door. While Bobby didn't feel threatened, she also felt that she had definitely intruded, and was ready to leave if asked to.Alec leaned over on his stool to peer at the bag at Bobby's feet. "Food n' the'bag?" He asked though automatically smiled, finding the situation both amusing and somehow welcoming at the same time. "Ye sure." He got up from his drum set to quickly side-step towards his bed, grabbing clothes and items and tosses when into a pile on the floor somewhere. "C'mon in."Bobby snickered, "No, not food. I've got voodoo dolls of all the staff members and I plan on on torturing them later today..." She was obviously joking. Heck, she only knew about Doctor Moreau and just assumed Sabin from speaking to another islander. "Yes, it's food. Some of it I mixed and prepared, and the others are pretty much snacks like fruit."
At the invitation, the woman finally stood up straight and walked in further, reaching down to grab the sack while she did. "Were you in a band?" Bobby motioned at the drum set. She found the couch and pushed things aside before sitting down. The woman would have sat on the stuff, but didn't think this man would appreciate her fat a** on his things. If she hadn't ellaborated, Alec probably would've believed she was some voodoo priestess. Hell, why not? "Cool." He plainly responded, plopping onto his bed across from the couch after she had made herself comfortable. He glanced back to his drums at the question, shaking his head solemnly. "Neh, just a hobbeh." He shrugged, not knowing how to further describe his 'aspirations' clearer than that.
"Wa's ye storeh?" He peeked at the bag, hoping there was something sugary in there somewhere.Seeing that the bag was being watched, Bobby tossed it over after pulling out three apples. It landed expertly a hand's-width from his side. At first, Bobby eyed Alec, unsure how he would take to her previous profession. She didn't think he would take it too well... but that was just being stereotypical, wouldn't it? Mentally, the woman shrugged. What did it matter? They're all stuck on this Island and cannot go back. By this man's reaction, he already knew that. Besides, would it be worse to lie?
Letting the pause settle for a little while longer, the pig took a bite of the first apple. After chewing and swallowing, Bobby told at least a very run-down version of her story. "I was chasing a criminal, was knocked unconscious, and woke up here." This time, she really did shrug, as if her story was nothing special and hadn't in fact made her hesitate. "What's your's?"Alec furrowed his nose as he rummaged through her bag, listening to her story simutaneously. Finding mostly fruit, he retrieved an apple from inside. "Got told a' was gonna be a rock stah." He muttered, nibbling on the skin of the fruit near the stem. "Fat chance." He smirked and chuckled before realizing his folly. In a quick motion to save himself, he shoved the apple in his mouth to take a huge bite.
"Chasin' a bad guy?" He repeated as he chomped with a full mouth, as if it was hard to believe. 'Super hero' came to mind from Saturday morning cartoons, though he couldn't... wouldn't picture her in spandex. "Coppah?"Bobby could only snort in a very piggish at the phrase 'fat chance'. Fat was definitely the correct word for it. She had worked her way to the core, nibbling in fact. The woman didn't want to seem too much of a pig... although, given the circumstance not much else would be able to give a different impression.
"Yeah, I was a cop," she bit throught the core. Bobby couldn't help but smile, "I won't be chasing any bad guys now... they'd be miles ahead in a matter of mere seconds."Alec couldn't help but burst into a fit of immature laughter, holding the back of his hand to his face so he didn't spew any more food out than usual customary tradition. "No' bad." He genuinely looked impressed. She didn't look like the type to be a policeman, then again people had inner strengths all the time. Besides, he barely knew her. "Eh, m'name's Alec." He suddenly remembered and quickly blurted out, forgetting to properly introduce himself again. Bobby watched Alec laugh. It wasn't a very common sound here on the Island. She did appreciate not seeing is mucused-covered apple though... "Nice to meet you, my name's Bobby."
With a sigh, the woman leaned into the couch, "If you're wondering, I wasn't always this fat.... I just hope you aren't turning into anything so... grotesque. I don't want that on anyone."Alec sobered as she slumped on the couch, suddenly feeling bad he found her comment so humorous. He may have been 17 but he knew girls were sensitive about their weight. "Sorreh." He mumbled, taking another bite. "A' kinda guessed." Admittedly, he didn't want to turn into a fat thing either. But he wouldn't voice his sorrows of uncertainty, seeing as he refused to ask the staff. "Ye don' look tha' bad." He tried to make things better, a weakeness of his.Bobby peeked over at Alec from behind her half-eaten apple. "No harm done. You cannot possible say or do anything that could make the situation worse." While is sounded depressing, the woman's tone said it was just a matter-of-fact and that she was at least starting to detach herself from the situation.
"Aww, thanks." The woman started to grin, "Now you're just being nice..... Well! I was never a very thin thing.... got worse when I popped three children out, but working out and exercising kept that at bay. Ever since my change, though." Bobby shook her head, "It's all been worthless. I doubt even lypo-suction would help at this stage.""Ye hitched with lil' snappehs?" He looked visibly shocked by this, Bobby being the first person he'd met so far that had an actual family that she could potentially miss. "Now thas a crime righ' there." The boy glared at the apple before taking another, smaller bite this time. News like this only proved to further irritate the hatred that was steadily growing for the staff members of this place. To have a family torn apart, well... he knew how that felt. But in the case of the island 'paradise', it was completely preventable.Bobby eyed Alec, her own anger at leaving her children and husband flashing in her eyes. There wasn't many things that she regretted in her life... not even her affairs -which she was completely sorry for-. But, to never tell her children or husband that she loved them... to never appologize to Trevor... well, she would give about anything for that.
Before the anger of the pig took control of her, Bobby stuffed the rest of the apple in her mouth and crunched down hard. One of the bottom fangs pierced her top lip, and the blood mixed with apple as she chewed it. After swallowing all of it, the woman took a deep breath, "Yeah.... A crime for sure, that will never be atoned from or put to justice."Alec quieted, finishing his work on the apple and tossing the core into a spare wastebasket nearby. "Ye." He sighed stretching out his neck, oblivious to the rising level of anger in the pigwoman. "They'll get their's." Was all he could utter, not knowing what to say. It was good he had never been into the whole 'self pity' thing because clearly his life didn't suck as hard as some of the other unfortunate members of this island confine.Bobby stood up and stretched, her extra nipples peaking out of her shirt. "I should probably get going. I don't really have anything to do, but I think I have impeded enough." She walked towards the door and turned around about halfway there, "If you want, you can keep the bag with food. I have more in my duplex."
The woman smiled. Her face hid the anger and sadness that was building up behind the mask. It wasn't Alec's fault, but now... well, she wanted to be alone. Unfortunately, this happened fairly often whenever her own misfortunes were brought up... surely, someone has it worse off then her, right? Alec looked a little uncomfortable and perplexed when Bobby rose to leave, watching her make her way to the door before glancing down at the bag beside him. "Ah, thanks." He managed to say, feeling bad that he had obviously insulted or upset her somehow. "Seeya around, aye? Drop by?" He felt good when Bobby first came to visit, like he had nothing to fear and could trust and look up to her. Hopefully she'd be able to work out her inner demons soon enough. Bobby smiled once more. She obviously was not very conscious of the bottom fangs, or chose to ignore their presence. Hopefully, they were not too intimidating. "Don't worry about me, I'm a big girl," the woman winked, as if to show there were no hard feelings.... it wasn't Alec's fault anyways.
At the door, the pig turned and saluted, "Definitely, wild horses couldn't keep me away!" That said, Bobby snuck out the door and closed it gently.
She walked back to her duplex, considering her options. The woman made plans, and in them, a lot of food was required.

I have a need... A need for... Isolation Bobby After returning back to her duplex, Bobby started to get things together. It wasn't really what Alec had said or done, she had gone into this kind of mindset before with others. The woman was simply in a mixed state-of-mind about the situation. After breaking the news to Kaveri, all the time with Colche that reminded her of her own children, talking about her children so many times... and now, this talk with Alec. Her temper was usually in check, except when Billy was around. She knew that. Usually, it was self-pain that was inflicted to keep the pig at bay. Right now, though.... she needed to be by herself and welcome to act out her anger. Everyone has their limit, and Bobby had just reached hers.
Because she gave her bag of food to Alec, Bobby dug around for another. This one was a back-pack style, and bigger. She loaded up some clothes and a small blanket. The woman hardly need covers anymore at night-time. Her added fat kept her well and warm.
Looking up, Bobby caught sight of the pictures. She frowned further. "Sorry kids," she whispered, "momma's gonna be gone for awhile." Her anger at the the truth in those words allowed the pig to bubble to the surface. Before Bobby could pierced her hands, she got up and strode angrily to the door.
The woman went through and slammed it shut, the framework shaking as it threatened to become dislodged. For the first time since her arrival, Bobby locked her door. She wasn't sure how long she was going to be gone... she wouldn't leave anything to chance.
Making a pitstop at the cafeteria, Bobby filled the rest of her bag with semi-non-perishable goods. When there was no more room in the backpack, she filled her arms and shirt.
Finally, she was ready. Relieved to not have seen anyone, for she really did not want to explain herself, Bobby made her way to the mountains. While there was chance she'd meet up with Emelyn, the woman went anyways. The other woman would have soiled her bad mood. And for now, Bobby want to feel like s**t. It meant she would be that much closer to feeling better when she returned.
By noon, Bobby found herself a nice little alcove near the forest. She started to unpack, putting everything safely up high and in baggies to keep any unwanted animals out. If there would be any, the woman was sure. Regardless, she didn't want to take the chance.
If anyone was there to observe, they would have sworn this woman had done it all before.

A Typical Day in the Wilderness Bobby The days meshed together. Usually, Bobby couldn't recall the passage of time while in civilization, and it was worse out here. Sometimes Bobby would sleep through a whole day, and wake up to a ravenous stomach. She never got to be as hungry as she had with her first change, but it was on the verge of close. After the fifth day of eating (so more like seventh day of isolation), Bobby ran out of food. She had long since become a vegetarian; eating berries, figs, roots, nuts, and anything else the trees provided. Her new body mass prevented her from chasing any food, so she had to deal without any meat.
As for her 'exercise', well... Bobby actually felt sorry for the nearby trees. Almost every time she woke up, the woman would be in a rage, and take it out on the trees. While it caused damage to herself as well, she didn't care. Whenever feelings of regret, anger, loss, and sadness, came into her mind, Bobby would give in to the pig's violence.
Usually her day consisted of walking up, beating up a tree, eating, and then going back to sleep. It was a pretty pathetic existance, but necessary for awhile.
Slowly, throughout the days, Bobby's beatings were less and less intense. Finally, she started waking up without the urge to harm something. It seemed as if the rage was gone, and all that was left was unavoidable acceptance, althought he pain of loss was still there.

Stumbling Back to Comfort Bobby It was about the time that Bobby felt she just didn't have as much rage any more. She knew that it would probably bubble up now and then... There wasn't much that Bobby knew about pigs, but their tempers were legendary. Also their eating habits... both of which she was well-acquainted with.
Either way, Bobby wasn't so angry anymore. The pent-up rage she had before was released. The woman was ready to go back to civilization and allow the process to start again. Maybe now that she had beat the trees so much, she wouldn't need a voluntary isolation? She hoped so. Despite everything, Bobby did enjoy the company of the other Islanders. They helped take her mind of things... and now her mind was tired of being mad.
After sitting outside her abode for awhile, and watching nature go on around her, Bobby stood up. Her mind was made up, she was going back. She would miss the peacefulness of the area, though. Here, there were no transformations; no worrying about looks; and best of all, no Billy! But, like everything else, there was a price. And now, Bobby wanted interaction with others.
The woman walked into her cave and packed up everything. There wasn't much left. Most of the clothes were thread-bare anyways. She didn't want to leave a mess. Who knew when someone else would want to use this peaceful oasis?
Bobby set out and walked back to the Village. She deposited her clothes in a trash can and then made a pit-stop at the cafeteria. For the first time since her transformation, when Bobby ate the food, she wanted to throw-up. Her body had gotten so used to the natural foods, not to mention no-meat diet, that it tried to refuse the prepared food.
Almost forcing her body into submission, Bobby quietly ate her fill and went back to her duplex. She unlocked the door and stumbled in. Stopping by the nightstand she kissed the pictures of her family good night and fell asleep on the comfortable bed.

Mothers Day Revelations (MSN IM) Bobby :: Colche After her refreshing time out in the wilderness, and her short rest back at the duplex, Bobby felt it was time to go meet see people again. She made a pit-stop at the cafeteria and grabbed some food, this time it was much easier to keep it down. Grabbing some chocolare cake and fruit, the woman went in search of one person that was always on her mind. Colche reminded her so much of her own children that the presence of the cheetah girl helped her cope with the Island. And, she had been away from everyone for so long. Her heart needed a little 'boost'.
Bobby stopped at the duplex and knocked, "Colche? Colche, are you there?"She was of course in her duplex, her nose, firmly pressed in to her most recent book. She had discovered the joys of smaller text and a harder read by picking up Charlotts web which she now read, ever so slowly but surely spelling out the letters in to words. She had barely gotten a chapter in to the book, but already she was enjoying it, it was about a pig called wilbur. Her thought train was interrupted by the knock on her door, her blue eyes rose to look at it and a familiar voice echoed from the other side "Bobby!" she stated, ehr furrytail flickering as she waited for the door to open. It never was locked, she never quite got the jist of the kket and door locking thing. At the sound of her name, Bobby assumed it was okay to just open the door and walk in. When she did, she saw Colche with a book. Upon seeing the title, the woman couldn't help but laugh a little. A story about a pig... in which a pig interrupts; how ironic.
"How are you, dear?" Bobby asked as she walked over and sat down next to the girl. With a floruish of the hand, the woman exposed the chocolate cake, "And this... is for you!"Colche grins broadly "Okay" she puurrs, taking the chocolate cake with a broad childhish grin. "Thankyou" she smiles gently taking a little bite out of the cake as she set her book down to keep her place. She wasn't sure where she came up with this idea, but it seemed like a good one, it meant she only had to readfrom the top of the page again instead of from the beginning. "Bobby good? Missed me Birthday, seventeen now" she stated with a grin and a giggle "big princess Cheetah now" she smiles in a childish way closing her baby blue eyes, the smile on her lips speaking in reems of her 'accomplishment' at becoming a big cheetah insetad of a little one.Bobby sighed sadly, "Oh, I'm sorry. I had no idea. I was..." she searched for the right words, "...I needed some time to myself for awhile and hadn't known. I am feeling better now, but I wish I hadn't missed you birthday."
At the girl's -no, young woman- pride, Bobby couldn't help but smiled and give her a one-armed hug, "Awww! They grow up so fast. Did you get a lot of gifts?"Colche nodded "Uh huh, lots n lots, books, n tel..ee..scuh..oape" She still had to spell this word out, she ahdn't been out to play with it yet but Ambrose had said he would take her out to look at the stars with it. "Mommy, gave this" She pointed to the heart shaped locket around ehr neck and smiled happily. It was Aubreys last gift but her favourite thatw as for sure she wouldn't take it off for anything.Bobby stiffened at the mention of Colche's mother. She had no idea what the cheetah's relations were with other people, but the way she interpreted it: "Colche, you mother is here too?" Of course that sparked another question, one that she hadn't dared asked before. The passing of time was usually too depressing, "Do you know when you birthday was? Did anyone mention a date?"Colche smiled and carefully, for the clasp was a bit fiddly, opened the locket to show the picture of Aubrey and the otehr of herself in her own. "Aubrey Mommy" She stated with a puur. Date? "Uhmm.. Birthday May first" she stated, hoping that was right. as far as she was concerened may first was again tomorrow, though obviously that wasn't true Aubrey had said soon last time maybe it would be soon again, she enjoyed ehr birthday alotAubrey? This wasn't the first time Bobby had heard of the woman. It may have been Colche herself who mentioned her before. But it was evident that the cheetah-child, young woman, loved this Aubrey very much. "May first?" Bobby muttered, musing over that. So, she was approaching about three months on this island. Three months without her husband, children, and friends.
Almost shaking herself away from the path those thoughts were leading her to, Bobby smiled. "You love your mommy very much, don't you?" She knew where this was going to lead her... but the day should not go un-appreciated; even if this would be the first time in about fifteen years that she was not the focus of the day.Colche nodded. "Uh huh, Mommy rescued..me" she paused her ears flickering. Perhaps to many being turned in to a part animal thing was not rescue, but to Colche there was no betetr place to be. She had a family, friends and a mother and was spoiled completely rotten by Aubrey too. She owned so much now her presents lined the room, her books and dvd's on the book shelf in the corner being held up by several plushies.Bobby grinned, a spark of happiness entering her eyes. If the life on the island was a rescue for someone, especially one as sweet as Colche, then she was glad it help at least one person... even though it ruined the lives of so many others. "Do you want to play a game, Colche? I think your mommy Aubrey would like it too."
She didn't really wait, pretty sure that the cheetah would like to do something nice for her 'mommy'. "You see, there is this day. It happens once every year, and it is when you get to do something nice for your mothers. This year, it is on May 14th. Here's the rules. First, find out what day it is." Bobby paused, giggling a little, "I wish I could help, but I am not sure. Then, you see how many days until the 14th. In that time, you can make something for Aubrey. Something that means a lot to you, and I'm sure she'll love it. And finally, when that big day finally comes, you can give it to her. Usually breakfast in bed accompanies it. If you want, I'd be glad to help you."
Bobby looked down at Colche, her eyes glittering.Colche looked surprised at being told there was a day especially for Mothers. There had to be she supposed. Special people needed days. Of course finding out when the day was would eb the problem. "I make sumfink purty for Aubrey?" she asked wide eyed and bushy tailed. She looked at her art set, she could do something really special for Aubrey and give it to her. With a puurr she stood up and padded rather delecately to her desk picking up her art set she returned to her bed with it and grinned "Bobby tell when mothers day?" she tilted ehr head curiously, Bobby would be her best bet for finding out when mothers day was. Breakfast in bed though? That would maybe be a problem, where did Aubrey sleep? Questions questions. For now she would be sated to make something for Aubrey, at least then if mothers day was really soon she was ready for it.Bobby struck a pose much like 'The Thinker'. She wasn't sure what day today was, so the woman could not give an exact date. If they were a day or two off, would Aubrey be really upset? She would be happy with the idea that Colche was thikning about her? Suddenly, Bobby was struck by an idea. She wanted to kick herself for nothing thinking of it before.
Without another word, Bobby bounded to Colche's intercom and pressed a button, "Hey! Hey you! Yeah, you on the other end, what day is it?"
After a pause, a voice answered, although a bit annoyed, "May fourth!"
Proud that they got an answer, Bobby turned to Colche "It's in ten days. So, in ten mornings," she held up her hands, and made a show to go through them, "starting with tomorrow as one, it will be Mother's Day!"Colche bit her tongue, it took her a moment to take this in, "ten mornings." Her brow furrowed, perhaps she understood the concept or perhaps not, either way it was pretty soonm, ten mornings went pretty fast. Or as least she thought so, her perception of passing time was usually quite marred. "Okay" she stated after a long moments silence, ten mornings, okay.Bobby smiled, "Now that you have a mission, would you like me to leave you? I would always like getting artwork from my children. They would bring breakfast in bed, like I mentioned, too... but I do not know if you can do that. My children were horrible cooks, but it was the thought and energy that mattered to be...."
Her smile turned sad, as she suddenly realized she would not have any more Mother's Day surprises from her children. It was amazing how something that she hadn't really thought about much before hurt so bad now that she could never enjoy it again.Colche tilted her head. Bobby seemed sad but she didn't know way, putting her art kit down she padded over to Bobby and gave her a big hug "No sad, Make Bobby nice things too" she puurred snuggling the big woman without a moments hesitation. After a moment she put on a determined face and with one last hug she made ehr way to her bed and pulled out a coloured pencil. This would take alot of work.Bobby gave Colche a hug back, enjoying the care and warmth that the cheetah emitted. "Thank you dear, I will be okay."
The pig was going to say more, but saw that Colche was soon entranced with the idea of artwork. She didn't want to interrupt, so instead Bobby went towards the door. Before exitting, she put the second piece of cake that she brought -originally intended for herslef- but the door. With one last glance to the busy cheetah, the pig snuck out to go for a walk. One lonely tear dripped down her cheek, but she quickly rubbed it away.

Metaplot-Friday
:: Checking up on Colche :: (MSN) Bobby :: Colche Ever since their little talk about Mother's Day, Bobby couldn't get that day out of her mind. At home, her children would ally themselves for a specific mission. It was true that once or twice Mother's Day turned out more like April Fools, but that was part of the fun. Now, though, Bobby wanted to see how far Colche had gotten, even though it had only been a day or so.
After her morning feast, Bobby stopped by Colche's duplex. She knocked softly, but didn't appear to be heard, so the woman quietly opened the door and peaked her head in to see if the cheetah was even home.Colche was sitting on her bed, papers were strewn every where with little doodles on them, but they all seem to have been discarded in favour of the currant picture she was working on. She hadn't even heard Bobby knock and ehr attention was only drawn when the pig lady came in. "hai!" she says smiling softly her furry ears twitching in a happy manner.Seeing that the cheetah was so busy on her project, Bobby all of a sudden felt horrible for interrupting. She stayed over the threshold, able to quickly leave if need be.
"Hey, there, Colche!" Bobby smiled, her eyes bright, "how's the gift coming? It looks like you're working hard!"Colche giggled looking at the picture she was so thoroughly ensconced in. "secret" she grins, she knew what a secret was, this was of course a special secret for Aubrey and noone could see until she was done.A secret? Well, Bobby knew secrets well... they could be considered one of her lovers, in more ways than one. Her smile spread further, "Oh! I see! I'll leave you and your secret be then." The pig winked. "Is there anything you might want me to bring you later on?"Colche shook her head in a childish manner as she picked up another coloured pencil and set back to work on ehr project, she wanted to make this just right for Aubrey."Alright then," Bobby whispered, slowly taking her head from the duplex. She had probably done enough 'damage' as it is.
On the other side of the door, turning to walk away, Bobby smiled to herself. "Take care of yourself, Colche," she said more to herself, but hoped the ears of the cheetah would at least register the meaning. With that, Bobby walked away to try and enjoy the day.Colche smiled returning to her drawing. she was happy as pie, she had never been able to give Aubrey something before so shehad to try her hardest to make it great.:: Who there, Little Lady :: (AIM) Bobby :: Emerwyn Bobby felt better after seeing Colche working so hard on her Mother's Day gift for Aubrey. Her step was a little lighter -despite her waying so much- and she hummed to herself, eating an artichoke as if it were a pear.
The pig walked down the main 'road' of the Village, taking in the sites and smells.Emerwyn was still in a state of complete bliss, and her deer-step sprung wherever she walked. She very nearly left her duplex door wide open, and found when she turned to close it, she didn't care either way. She was the woman in love, and it felt so right to finally be able to confess it to the world. She was in love! She was just trotting off to get something to eat, when she quite literally bumped headfirst into someone it was very difficult to miss. Bobby saw the woman... who was turning into a deer?... approach but truly thought that she would stop. So, when the other Islander collided with her, all the pig could do was stare humorously. It would have taken a lot more than a slim woman to take her down now.
Right before the two of them had found themselves very close together, Bobby had seen the look on the deer woman's face. It was one she had known all too well in her younger years. "Well hello there!"Emerwyn gasped deeply and flung backwards a bit when she made contact. "Oh!!!" Straightening herself, Emerwyn couldn't help but start laughing. "I am s-so sorry. Please." Emerwyn took a breath. "You must forgive me." "I find I am not completely myself today. I am Emerwyn." She held out an awkwardly hoofed hand. Bobby took the offered hoof without hesitation and firmly, though kindly, greeted the deer. "It's not a problem. I'm Bobby."
The woman smiled brightly, with almost an impish expression, "So, who's the lucky fellow?"Emerwyn's face flushed, as much as it was now possible to. So, she could tell? "His name is Ian." She revelled in saying his name, and held back on the desire to repeat it over and over again. Bobby's face lit up even more. Oh him! He was turning into a deer too, how perfect for them. People deserved a little bit of happiness, at least, on this Island... even if it was a different form of life.
"Oh, Ian?" Bobby giggled, remember how shy he had seemed to her. "I had no idea anyone had caught his fancy. What a nice young man. Congratulations, I believe are in order."Bobby was so full of mirth. And speaking to her felt like sharing secrets with a close aunt. These were rare meetings, and Emerwyn cherished it. Caught his fancy. How sweet. Emerwyn positively glowed. "Why, my thanks to you," she said, bowing her head slightly. "It is a truly strange sensation, to find something so good in a world as dark as this." Bobby's smile wavered. Her concern now went beyond herself. Almost sheepishly, the woman turned her head to the side to look at Emerwyn with confused expression, "Is kindness such a rare thing on this Island?"
The deer was not the first person to say such a thing to her.Emerwyn chose her words carefully. "I find that it is not so much a lack of kindness. It is more that people are afraid. And in their fear, they try to defend themselves. I was not so different from that, before I met Ian." Rather, before I was able to admit how I felt. "And, in our fear, we tend not to see beyond our own pain. So, kindness is mistaken, and lost." This was not so different from what she had said to Emelyn, when she begged her forgiveness. Which Emelyn was only too happy to give. No, kindness and friendship abounded here. You just needed to know how to look at it. Bobby paused, considering Emerwyn's words. Maybe there was something in the deer serums that made them so 'philosophical'? The pig had gotten the same impression from Ian. These two were made for eachother. Possibly in more ways then one... the thought almost made Bobby flinch.
Nodding, the woman couldn't help but agree, "Fear is a dangerous thing. But I have to admit, what you said makes sense. Though, everyone I have met have been everything and kind to me."
Bobby smiled, "So, has he proposed?" The woman winked.... she would rather talk about happier subjects anyways."N-no, I wouldn't - I mean, we haven't... Well, who on this Island could even perform a marriage?" Even though it seemed the woman was kidding around, Emerwyn was completely taken aback. And she did not like stammering or losing her own words. Her words were her power, and she felt very exposed without them. Bobby couldn't help but feel sorry for the sputtering woman. She knew how that felt too... at a loss for words due to the one you love. It was somewhat romantic if you thought about it. But, Bobby Reynolds was never of the romantic types. Maybe she was cruel, or just joking; maybe even genuinely hoping for something to lighten the mood on the Island. And what better than a wedding of two of the inhabitant? Nevertheless, the pig continued.
"Come now," Bobby patted the woman on the back sympathetically. "This place is beyond all governmental controls. As long as you love someone enough you can have a wedding. We could really have anyone preside over it. It might be a nice event to try and get people's minds off things."Even though Emerwyn could not yet imagine being wedded to Ian, especially since she had not known him long at all, at least compared to Jerrick. She'd known Jerrick for years. And yet, something in Emerwyn was excited about the idea. All of these feelings flew across her face. Despite the fact that it was far less mobile than it had been, Emerwyn's expressions were even more readible. Still not sure whether or not Bobby was serious, Emerwyn smiled at her. "Maybe you're right." Bobby laughed and winked, "Well, I've seen a lot in my day." At seeing all the emotions, the woman tried to console Emerwyn to the best to her ability. "You know, it generally isn't the time spent with someone that ditates these things. I had known my husband for awhile before marrying, but we didn't have any hard time... intil I got pregnant when we were still dating, though. The experiences you would have with Ian on this Island and what happened because of them, would count for years out in the real world. Horrible situations can bring out one of two things in people: the best or the worst. I've seen both"This made Emerwyn even more glad than before. Even if she was a little ashamed that her heart was worn not only on her sleeve, but on a large sign hanging above her head. Her eyes glistened and she took Bobby's hands in her own. "My thanks to you. Your words bring such joy to my heart." Bobby held to Emerwyn's hands and her smile grew, though there was a touch of sadness in her eyes, "Good, you shouldn't be sad all the time just because your life has changed. Everyone deserves joy."
Of course, when she said that, she was about to add that there was one person she knew that didn't... but that was her own personal bias speaking.Emerwyn saw Bobby's eyes, but did not press any question. Was Bobby still trying to learn this for herself? In Emerwyn's dark times, she found that she gave much good advice to her friends, and kept none for herself. She nodded in agreement with the sentiment, but found for once that she did not need to say anymore. Words now cluttered the situation. Now she felt bad. Bobby thought that it was because of her that Emerwyn was getting quiet. She should probably head out to the jungle or a picnic before the mood became too depressing... or she did something she may later regret.
Leaning forward, the woman planted a friendly kiss on Emerwyn's cheek. "You take care now, Emerwyn, and give Ian my love as well," Bobby winked, as if saying they had a secret now and it was between the two of them.
With that done, the woman walked off to find a good picnic area. She turned a ways out and waved to the deer woman, smiling, "See ya!"Emerwyn smiled deeply at Bobby. If it wasn't enough for Emerwyn to feel the way she did today, she only found another to boost the effect. Emerwyn winked back. "That I shall." Her hoof was in the air, waving a farewell, and Emerwyn turned back along her path.

Metaplot Saturday Bobby Bobby was up before the storm rolled in Saturday morning. She had had bad dreams, though nothing on a scale that would be considered a nightmare. Upon taking one step outside, the pig could feel something coming... a storm, and a bad one. She still had some time, though. Bobby took two bags with her as she went to the cafeteria. Eating her fill, and stuffing the bags, the woman stepped back out of the cafeteria. Immediately, her hair became matted as rain drops splattered.
"Great!" Bobby mumbled. Her wiry hair did not do well when wet, it clumped and became a ragged mess. If it was still an option, she would have run back to her duplex...but she was simply too fat now. Bobby caught sight of Colche as the cheetah went by. She was going to call out, but decided against it. The pig did not like being in the rain.
Finally, she arrived, wet and ragged. First things first, Bobby took a shower, dried herself off, and got into dry clothes. She could feel the storm picking up power and energy outside. Walking to her bookshelf, the woman picked out a book and began reading.
By that evening, the storm was in deed powerful. Living in New York, Bobby was unfamiliar with tropical storms, but she knew how dangerous and devastating they could be. Many times, they would asked to volunteer to help out the victims.
Bobby was in chapter fourteen when the power went out. She was relieved when it came back on, and used that time to dig out her flashlight. If it happened once, maybe it would happen again? The woman was unfamiliar with any fail-safes the Island might employ, but she would take no chances.
It was a good book. Under the dim lighting, Bobby continued to read. With her mind busy with the book, and the storm in the background of such thoughts, Bobby had completely forgotten about food.
It was about that time that Bobby heard a loud shriek in the duplex below. She knew that shriek! It was Billy's... the shock that Billy was in the duplex below was enough for her. Dropping her book in haste, the woman ran to the window. She caught sight of someone in a labcoat and curly hair run away. But that was it, and then the power was out for good.
Mulling over such though, Bobby felt her way back to her bed and fell asleep.

Metaplot Sunday Bobby The rains settled a bit. The change in the winds mixed with the sound of humming electricity as Bobby woke up. At first, she wasn't sure what it was that shook her from -for once- a good sleep. Then she knew, her duplex was blazed in magnificent light. The power had returned. Not only that, the pig was hungry, only having had one meal yesterday (for shame!).
With a sigh, Bobby rolled to the side of the bed and got on her feet. She was padding her way to still packed food when she felt the tingling.
It started at the back of her neck and went down her spine. "What the-" Bobby growled, right before her muscles spasmed. For a moment she thought she was being tazered, a sensation she knew. Warm liquid rolled down her leg as the spasms forced her to release her bladder.
The pig landed with a large thud as her massive body fell to the floor.
--{Later}--
When Bobby regained consciousness, her head throbbed, her stomach demanded food, and her legs itched irritably. With a groan, she rolled over and got up. First things first.
In a made dash, Bobby made it to one of the bags and ripped it open. Food dropped from the bag, and it wasn't soon before the pig was eating as much as she could. Oh God, she was hungry.
Finally, with her stomach appeased, the woman went to her dresser where she had stashed the pain relievers from before. She took way more than the suggested amount, but her head was killing her and she had more body mass anyways. Surely, her system could handle it.
That left one last thing. Almost worriedly, Bobby went back to where she had fallen. Sure enough, there was a stain in the carpet, and her shorts were soiled. With a flinch, the woman admitted to herself: majestic Bobby Reynolds had pissed her pants. Not like it was her fault, mind you. Having electricity run through ones body regularly warranted such results.
She went about to clean up. First herself, then her shorts, and then the carpet. In fact, that was what she did all day: cleaned. Bobby had just finished with the piss stain when she heard the announcement.
The towel she was using to clean the carpet dropped down in her shock. Someone had attacked one of the staff members? And not only that, the one that was second-in-command? Wasn't this Aubrey the one that Colche called her mother? The poor girl was probably devastated! And what about the rest of them? Bobby shuttered at the thought. They would all be punished for the mis-deeds of one! That hardly seemed fair.
Without a thought, the woman stood and brushed herself off. Well, she wasn't a PI or a detective... but she was a cop. Maybe she could be of some use?
Grabbing some of her equipment, Bobby left the duplex and trotted down the stairs, taking them two or three at a time.

Metaplot - Stock and Reload (Cafeteria p.237-239) Bobby :: Pyroth Bobby had been searching all day, and then some, for Colche. She even slept under the stars since she felt she would waste too much time going back to her Duplex. Her bags helped, it saved her trips to the cafeteria or scrouging in the foliage for nuts and fruit.
It was time to restock. As quick as was comfortable, Bobby went into the cafeteria and restocked her bags. She also sat down to plump herself more, eating her fill. While she did so, she pulled out a pad and pen. Her mission was to find Colche. The woman was worried about the cheetah. She wasn't in her duplex, in the cafeteria or entertainment room, by the river, or anything. Where could she be?
Bobby was writing down possibilities on the pad, stopping every so often to jot a new location she could search for. "Where are you?" she mumbled to herself, looking at the pad and the crossed out possibilities. Pyroth had been out looking for clues for most of the day, mainly seeking to find out what was going on from other people. He didn't want to go near the scene of the crime, being seen there was just plain incriminating even if he was sure he hadn't been the one to be responsible for the attack, that wouldn't be how it would look.
Finally he decided to head to the cafeteria, get a long drink of something to both calm his nerves and possibly calm the light headed sickness that still gripped him from blood loss. It was one of those times where he really wished he wasn't so skinny that the loss of that much blood would throw him. He tried not to think about the nausea or the pain, thinking that if he did it would only make it worse.
As he headed into the room, he became aware of a familiar scent, spotting Bobby seated at one of the tables. He was glad it was someone he knew, he was still slightly paranoid about being suspected for the Aubrey attack thanks to the pinkish tinge of blood still resolutely on his fur and the bandaged but large wound on his shoulder. "Hey." he said in greeting before picking up two bottles of water from the fridge and a bowl, his new manner of drinking was humiliating but not as bad as trying to drink from a bottle only to have the fact you had a muzzle ruin it.
He sat down and sighed, looking at Bobby. "Hear the announcement earlier?"Bobby would have jumped if she wasn't so immersed in her thoughts. She hadn't heard Pyroth enter, much less speak. When he sat the bowl and water down, though, the woman slowly came to. Bobby heard the question and looked at the coyote with a grin. Despite everything, she was glad to her friend safe and well.
"Hi Pyroth. I heard the announcement but I have no idea what they are even talking about. Heck, I don't even know what Aubrey looks like. Colche talks about the woman, and I respect her as a type of mother-to-mother.... but" Bobby shook her head sadly, "I just have no idea!"
The woman sat back to assess her friend. Her smiled withered away when she caught sight of his appearance, "Oh my, are you okay? The attacker didn't get you too, did they?"Pyroth nodded "I've seen her a few times, seemed a bit jumpy the last time I saw her alone, I was on the beach talking to Zach a few weeks ago. I don't think she's been the same since Jamal went for her." he shrugged "Personally I wish I'd been there to see her come down." Despite his concerns for Colche it would still have been a gratifying sight to see. He gave Bobby a grin "But as far at the announcement goes, I'm in the same boat as you, not a clue what's going on out there."
He (after a good bit of effort) managed to open one of the bottles and pour it into the bowl in front of him. Casting a glance at his shoulder and tinted fur, he frowned. "That's the worst part, I don't know who did this. I woke up in the jungle earlier, bleeding and covered in my own blood." he didn't mention that his own wasn't the only blood he had on him, some had been pig blood and left him worried for Bobby's safety. The rest, he couldn't even identify. "I assumed it was the start of another lockout, they did that to us before, but no, I come back and my duplex is unlocked."
Shaking his head he leaned down slightly to casually lap up some of the water, he didn't even care about others seeing him like this anymore, you had to deal how you had to. Licking his lips he added.
"What about you, anything weird happen to you?"Bobby's frown remained on her face. She thought about what Pyroth said about Aubrey and Jamal attack awhile ago. It did seem somewhat related. Except, Aubrey came out of that okay, didn't she? What Jamal was turning into, though, was a mystery to the pig.
In the meantime, the woman looked at the bandaged shoulder of the coyote. As fas as she could tell, it was wrapped well and would keep infection away. "That's peculiar... I cannot imagine why that might happen. Were you sleep-walking or something? Does that happen often besides this and the lock-out?"
After a pause in speech, Bobby took a bit of an un-peeled orange. Seeing Pyroth drink didn't phase her at all. She didn't even seem to notice anything strange about it. When he looked up, the woman shook her heard, "Despite being electricuted and waking up in my own piss, nothing weird has happened on my end." It was so matter-of-fact, she didn't even flinch. Her eyes sparkled though, for she did see the humor in the incident.Pyroth shook his head "I've lost control before, gone after prey without being able to stop myself." Memories of Emerwyn came to mind "But I almost always am capable of remembering what I did or where I went, it's as if I take a backseat in my own head, I can still see what's going on. Last night, I..couldn't." he frowned "I don't even know if it was last night, to be honest, I could have been out for weeks or days and not known." he hated feeling so out of control and sighed. "I just wanted to settle down for a good drink and smoke and this crap happens."
He finished his bowl of water as he listened to Bobby before piping up again, an eyebrow raised and a grin " I'll take that to be something that doesn't happen often?"
"This island is /really/ ******** up. Ever watch that old programme way back, called "the Prisoner"? The guy kept trying to escape but they kept drugging him and chasing him with giant bubbles? I always feel like somewhere along the line I fell into that show."Bobby listened further with Pyroth. She really was a good listener, and always had a good memory. The woman had never gone for anything but a lowly street cop, though... it just wasn't her style. Besides, she thought she could do more being close to the people than working indirectly with them. "I hope these... feelings don't happen too often. I take it you cannot control it, what with a coyote transformation and all. I didn't know coyotes did so much hunting. Of course, we didn't get get too many in New York City." She smiled slightly.
"No," Bobby chuckled, "I don't do such a thing often. It is a common side-effect with being electricuted to the point of unconsciousness. Much like fainting and..." the woman coughed, finishing the last in a whisper, "...and dying."
"Sadly, I never watched that. I was only 17 when I had my first kid. Before that, I was too busy to watch TV. After that, the only TV we watched were children shows. I don't think Trevor would have appreciated raising out children on a show called "the Prisoner"." Bobby smiled a little, she could just imagine his shocked face at the suggestion.
The woman eyed Pyroth. A strange show, and a stranger connection. "Have you ever tried avoiding the staff or something? Or is it more their indirect actions? I haven't been here as long, and the only person I ever met was Moreau himself, and that was only when he gave me the injection.""I don't think coyotes do hunt much, they scavenge a lot. If you ask me it's not entirely the coyote's fault I'm so obsessed with hunting." he waved a paw not sure how to explain it "I think it's sort of given me the instincts that part of me had been craving for a long time. Humans are generally vicious bastards trapped in a fleshy weak and weaponless body, now I have weapons part of me, out of my control, doesn't half mind using them." he shook his head "I don't like it but the more I embrace it the less likely it is that I'll lash out at someone out of the blue." The idea he might harm someone he knew terrified him but he never voiced his concerns.
He sighed again "An electric shock like that could do some lasting damage never mind just knocking you out. They should tone down that chip or whatever it is before it kills someone."
Pyroth looked dissapointed "You never saw it? I mainly saw reruns, I was only 4 when the first episode came out so obviously didn't see it then. But yeah, It would probably mess with kids minds, I saw it when I was like, 18 and it weirded me out too. "
"Avoiding the staff? Not really, I've met a few of them, James andMoreau when I arrived and Aubrey a good few times after that. Not all of them though. I wouldn't trust my self control if I came across a lone Moreau any time soon though."Bobby nodded, "I can understand that. We were constantly 'hunting' people, so that is not a new concept to me. Pigs aren't very notable for their hunting tactics. They can be vicious, and what a temper. I used to always be so cool-headed, but after that transformation, I feel myself getting angry so much more often." The woman shrugged, "I'll just have to deal with it. I took awhile off, went to the woods and stayed in a cave. I feel bad for the trees I beat up, but better them than someone with a bit more flesh to them. I feel much more in control now."
"I am not sure they are too concerned about electricucian." Bobby sighed, "I have so much fat anyway, they might have given me a stronger dose, per say."
With a bright smile, Bobby prodded Pyroth with her eyes, "Well, then maybe we should see if we can get them later and watch the episodes?" She winked, finishing off an artichoke."Tell me about it." Pyroth grinned "Boar are some of the most vicious animals I've come across, before I came here I could have imagined pigs as helpless..I was wrong." he cringed "Even Jamal got kicked pretty bad by one when we were out hunting and he's turning into a tiger." He grinned "But definately, the best cure for the instincts I find is to actually let them vent, otherwise they just drive you nuts."
He helped himself to the other bottle of water despite not really feeling like more liquid, he knew the more the better in his condition. "That's not a bad idea, I wouldn't half mind seeing it again, remind me of being young and home again." he chuckled
"It probably wouldn't be as messed up as I remember, not after all of this. "Bobby grinned, almost maliciously, "You remember that when you come after me!" Even though she said it in that tone, her eyes were saying it was all in good fun. Of course, if one of the predators came after her, she would definitely she them she would not be the best choice for a meal. Besides, running away would be out of the question....
"Well then!" Bobby slapped the table, but not very hard, "That's settled! After this whole thing blows over, we'll have a movie night watching 'The Prisoner'!" As kind of a side note, the woman sighed, "At least, if it does blow over... it has to!"
"Yeah..." she took a large chug from her cola, "I can't imagine anything more ******** up than this..."Pyroth heard it loud and clear, dead set in the first place that no way would he go after a boar half as big as he was never mind one human sized "No fear of that. I saw how you handled Billy, I don't want to be at the sharp end of your anger." he gave her a broad grin.
"But definately, I could do with a night in watching something, haven't really seen a television since August last year when I got here. And everything blows over here, lets just hope this one doesn't have a sting in it's tail, Moreau sounded more pissy than I've ever heard him and I wouldn't put it past him to do something nasty to us all if the attacker isn't found."
He waved a paw "I could care less though, if I found out who did it, I wouldn't tell that git a thing even on pain of death."Bobby threw a half-grin at Pyroth, "I was still fully human when I pinned Billy. Needless, he deserved that!" The woman rolled her eyes, "See, now you are sounding like my kids...even though they hardly cared if they made me mad or not. Of course, they had nothing to worry about."
"He did sound.... angry." Bobby licked her lips nervously, "I haven't seen what the man can do, but figuring we are turning in to animals... I don't think I want to see the full extent. But even Moreau is human.... matching human, at least with DNA, more so than any of us. He is susceptible to the harm and death of a loved one looming in front of him." The woman looked up at Pyroth from her bowed head, "I've seen the worst killers and rapist break down when a friend or family... or even pet, is threatened. Moreau may be insane and a sadist, but he hasn't killed anyone... yet."
The mood passed and Bobby took another deep drink, "You should care, this affects all of us." She frowned, "Especially Colche, I would assume." The woman sighed sadly and shook her head, "We were discussing Mother's Day just the other day.... she was so excited to do something for Aubrey..."The coyote couldn't help but have his mood lightened by Bobby "Maybe so, if that's the case I don't want to do anything that means I deserve the wrath of Bobby. I'll be a good doggie." he couldn't help but laugh at calling himself doggie, sure it was a pain in the butt being like this but at least he wasn't going the way of some of the other islanders, reptiles, birds and the like. He had to stop laughing pretty quickly though as his shoulder made its pain known again.
He raised a brow "I'd imagine he can throw a real hissy fit when he wants too, every time I've met him he struck me as high strung and just waiting for something to snap. A guy like that can only be expected to get nasty when things start messing up." Pyroth frowned, trying not to think of the past in relation to what Bobby spoke of. He had weaknessess too and could relate. "But yeah, you are right. Still, doesn't mean I wouldn't kill him myself given a moment's chance, no hesitation."
His ears flicked back at the mention of Colche "Yeah, I just met her up at the labs, she won't leave the gates until Aubrey comes out. Poor little soul. I even had to take a tent up to her."Bobby couldn't resist herself. She pulled out a biscuit. "Good doggie! Now... sit!" pause, "Good boy!" The woman tossed the biscuit and it landed expertly on the table in front of him... of course, there wasn't much distance to cover anyways.
The pig shrugged, "Well, the fact that he cares helps, at least we know he's got some feelings." Pyroth's attitude set Bobby's police nerves on edge. Something didn't seem to fit quite right. She pushed them aside. What did it matter now? It didn't. "I'm not sure I'd be up for murder. I've put too many others behind bars for such things. Not to mention, where do we have to go? I love Trevor, but I think even this may be too much for him. They won't treat us the same."
She sighed again, "As much as I hate to admit it, we still need Moreau."
"Colche?" Bobby perked up. "So that's where that girl is! I've been looking all over for her." The woman puled out the pad and paper and crossed everything off. She shook her head, "That wasn't even on my list, you've saved me a lot of time!" Without hesitation, Bobby leaned forward and planted an innocent kiss on the coyote's cheek. It was typical of Bobby, if you knew her that well. Somewhere down the line she had picked up that Southern European habit.Pyroth crossed his arms (as best he could and with a twinge of pain) at the biscuit, but grinned playfully. If his reflexes had been better, he'd have caught it out of the air just to show off. "I'm not a domestic dog." he grinned.
"Feelings are a bad thing in someone like Moreau, all it means is that he can also feel vengance and the desire to wreak it on innocent people. Sometimes emotions are a double edged sword." he leaned back on his chair "I don't think that far ahead. As far as I'm concerned getting rid of Moreau would solve my immediate problems, whatever came afterwards I'd face. I don't like depending on anyone, it's one of the biggest problems I have here, living like a patient in some hospital."
He nodded and was about to re-affirm the fact that Colche was up there when Bobby gave him a continental kiss. He froze mid-sentence and blinked before grinning. "Warn me before you do that next time." he chuckled. "No," Bobby made a kind of mock-pouting face, "you're a wild hound!"
"Maybe so, but kind of gives one a thought that there may be another side that he rarely shows? Who knows..." The woman shrugged and calmly grabbed a pear. "Sometimes, your immediate problems are best as they are. By doing something rash, you could quite possibly make things worse." Her eyes seemed elsewhere, as if reflecting. "Things can got a lot worse..." The woman's eyes cleared and she smirked, "Can be a co-dependence. But this isn't like any hospital I know of...."
She waved him off, "Now why would I warn you? You might try and bite my nose or something... it does poke out a little more than usual...""I doubt there is any other side to him that's worth seeing. " Judgemental words from someone who wasn't exactly a lovely person himself "Other than the inside."
He waved a paw vaguely "It feels like a hospital to me sometimes, or some sort of leper camp, a free range prison. I liked to be able to pick and choose what I bought to eat, what I wore, where I went, what I smoked, all those kind of things, but here now it's always doing what they want or what the coyote wants." he frowned. "It bothers me, no, terrifies me that there might come a time when I never get a chance to do some human things ever again." He couldn't even cry anymore.
He shrugged off the dark mood as best he could and smirked "Hey, it's surprising when someone goes all spontaneous on you, I'd imagine you'd be surprised if I decided I was pleased and slobbered all over your face dog style." just the mental image made him cringe, he would never allow himself to stoop to such canine actions while he had his sanity. It wasn't just the canine-nes of it, more the submissiveness. He was not a submissive person if he could avoid it. "And you think /your/ nose sticks out?!" he poked his own wet nose with a digit "Meet the master nose."Bobby pondered for a moment. Her eyes tinkled in a very womanly fashion when she eyed Pyroth, "There is one thing that I imagine would be worth seeing...."
"Isn't it funny," the woman chewed on the pear core, "how much you take something for granted once it is lost? I mean, truly. Did you ever stop to think about how much you appreciated all that? Would you have ever noticed if you had never wound up here? If this place... had never happened, would you still be living the way you were before? Unapprecative, as it were..." Bobby reached forward and grabbed one of Pyroth's paws as she heard the emotion in his voice. It was an entirely friendly motion, one buddy to another...almost a mother to a son, never mind Pyroth was older. "Remember, you are not in this by yourself."
Leaning back, Bobby smiled to the changing of the mood. "Well you know... I would probably be pleasantly surprised, though a bit disturbed, if you jumped on me and licked my face. Of course, I don't think that would be very coyote-like." The pig winked and snorted, "So, that would lead me to wonder if that was the coyote or man acting out! Of course, if could also just be 'Master Nose' at work..."Pyroth blinked. Surely it was just him that had a disturbing mind, Bobby must have meant something more innocent than what instantly sprung to mind. Scary mental image. "Please, for the love of god, don't tell me what you mean." he cackled "I don't want to know."
He nodded "Yeah, I took everything for granted, it was all handed to me on a plate. Now I have to deal with each day as it comes, deal with crap people never have to. Makes you wish you told the ones you loved that...well, you did, so to speak. I was never the kind of person to show emotion if I could help it. Wish I had, even if it would have freaked Khan out." he swished his tail, grateful for Bobby's supportiveness, he gave her hand a squeeze with his own paw. "Thanks. It is really good to bear that in mind. Same goes for you too you know."
He couldn't help but grin again as she went on. "Hmmm, maybe it would be a little of both. Though you have no idea how weird it is when you think "I want to make this person feel better" and your brain turns around and replies with "lick their face"" he threw up his good arm exasperatedly "Whatever happened to a box of chocolates or a hug?"Bobby grinned, her face taking on a twisted appearance, "I'll keep it to myself... for now. But I can use it for a kind of blackmail later on...."
"Not much was handed to me on a plate..." the woman shrugged, "middle child..." as if that explained it all. "I worked hard for what I had, it wasn't an easy existence, especially not in New York City. The work you do, and the people you try to help... everything only account for so little as a whole.... but quite a bit to the one person it affected." Bobby smiled a little at the memories. She usually worked with batter and abused women. They usually felt more comfortable with a woman cop. Some of the children, though... she had desperately wanted to take home; which was impossible of course. "Of all the things I regret..." Bobby shook her head, "The one person I took for granted, way too much, was Trevor." She smiled almost ironically, "He'll never know now, how much he meant to me... how much the kids meant to me..." Her eyes mistified.... she literally had to shake herself out of it. "I know I'm not alone... there's at least thirty others here, yeah!"
Bobby snorted again, "Meh, I'm sure I'll find out soon enough. We'll see what little quirks the pig has to offer. And don't worry about the box of chocolates. The way I see it, they were overrated. Hugs, though... you can never get enough of."Pyroth shook his head "You are a cunning lady."
He listened intently as Bobby spoke, honestly feeling for her. "If it's any consolation at all, which I know it probbly isn't, if Trevor is even half the man you speak of him as, your kids could not be in better hands." he gave her a reassuring smile "And when it comes to families, if you realise now how much they meant to you, there is no reason why in your abscence they shouldn't know how much you meant to them."
He shrugged slightly, ignoring the irritating pain. "Sometimes things like that are so implicit they never have to be said."
He tried to lighten the mood again "Personally I can't wait to see what the pig has to offer, misery loves company. We can go hunt and root in the undergrowth together." He chuckled, as always making light of facts made them easier to swallow.Bobby snickered, "Didn't you hear? I'm a pig!" She stuck out her tongue and touched her nose with it.
The woman smiled, "Yeah, he was great. It couldn't have been easy for him; I was gone... a lot." She wanted to add 'for different reason' but thought that was still her own secret that didn't need to be mentioned. "He didn't deserve to have a woman like me," the pig shook her head, "of course... he did get me pregnant at the age of 17... But I was always able to overlook that minor detail...."
Bobby rolled her eyes, although the invitation was an intriguing one, "Oh yes, a regular day at the park, I'd say!" She giggled.
Reaching in her pack, Bobby pulled out one of the bottles of pain reliever and set it on the table with a rattling clang. "Now, I don't know how much use these might be given how far you are.... but they should be able to help. I'd imagine they'd change the pain relievers for the special needs of this Island.""Sounds like you were pretty even if you asked me, besides you were a police officer, I imagine work would take up a lot of your time." he shrugged "Better than I treated Khan. I just showed up when I felt like, crashed at his place and left without telling him where I was going. He's probably still wondering when I'll show up next." he smirked, he'd be waiting a very long time indeed.
He looked interested at the pain reliever as it was produced, it looked very appealing indeed. Anything that would ease the sheer throbbing of the gash in his shoulder was welcome.
"Anything will do, seriously, this hurts like hell." he held his paws a distance apart "It's only like, this side but it's really deep. Like a puncture wound rather than a shallow scratch." he cringed just thinking about it "At least I got it stitched up and cleaned, I dread to think how painful it'd be if I just left it."
He reached for one of the bottles, taking a look at the label.
"You are a godsend Bobby, these look like strong ones.""Well, I wasn't exactly nice to him when I broke the news..." Bobby grinned at the memory of her, at 17, yelling and screaming at Trevor calling him many names. Her language had been very colorful in that conversation as well. "At least you showed up, and he knew at least what you looked like. Too many children in the City live without even seeing one of their parents. They tend to get very...." The woman paused, "I cannot think of the word, but not any warm, fuzzy feelings, let me tell you!. I'm sure one day he'll figure something out. Must be a smart, ahh... boy..." So, so wasn't sure if Khan was grown or not.
"Pain means you're still alive, at least," the woman kind of half-smiled again. Sure, it hurts, but at least he's feeling something? "Sadly, I cannot take credit for it. That's one of the bottles from when I got some from... what's her name? Delia, the town hall manager or something? Anyway, I don't go anywhere without my little kit... never know when you might need something."
Bobby leaned forward. Pyroth's bandaged shoulder was definitely an enigma for her. Motioning to it, the woman opened her hands questioningly, "Would you mind if I took a look?"

Metaplot - An Unconventional Meeting (PRP) Bobby :: Madison Bobby had just left the cafeteria. She was going to go see if Colche was still waiting at the labs, but since the woman knew where the cheetah was, she didn't feel so bad. Of course, there were probably guards.... and Bobby had no respect for security guards in the least. To her, they were wanna-be or washed-out police officers.
But, the pig didn't want to think about such things. Bobby was in a good mood and didn't want to think about it. Focusing her mind on the current mystery wasn't going so well. For a moment, she even forgot she was on the Island... more like an extended vacation, very extended.
Bobby pulled out a few fruits; an orange, apple, and pear. Talently, she juggled them, taking a bit from them each as they passed. The woman didn't think anyone was nearby, so she tried to be creative with her methods. Sometimes one would move from behind her back or under her leg. In the meantime, she hummed a carnival tune to herself. Madison left her bungalow and headed for the village. She wondered if the cafeteria was open as she was feeling hungry. On the way there, she saw a pig-like woman juggling various fruits. Madison folded her arms and stood watching intently for a few moments.
"Now I've seen everything..." she said aloud, not knowing if the woman heard her or not.Bobby hadn't been humming that loud, so when she heard a voice behind her, the woman froze. Precious fruits landed on the dirty ground at the pig twirled with a surprised snort.
For awhile, Bobby just stared at the fox-woman. She was sure she had never met this person. Slowly, her face relaxed, as did her body which had gone into a defensive stance due to all her training.
"Umm... Hello..." her voice was positively sheepish. If her skin had been lighter, a pink tinge would have crept up her face, "How much of that did you see?"Madison snickered to herself. A black woman who was becoming a pig.. wasn't that the most politically correct thing she ever laid eyes upon or what? She didn't want to disclose to this pig woman how she thought of black people.
It was a white southern thing she had growing up in New Orleans. All the servants in her home were black and were ordered around. She had tried to get herself away from her racist thoughts especially after moving to New York, but she couldn't help thinking like that every now and then. Like her past was coming back to haunt her. She was a closet racist in a way.
"I seen enough. You look like a carnival act the way you were juggling and singing. Were you in some kind of side show before coming to the island?" Madison asked her while eyeing the tasty fruit.
All that fruit would have better use in my stomach than being paraded throughout the air, Madison thought to herself. She was just so famished and couldn't really think of anything besides eating.Bobby's eyes narrowed at this newcomer. There was something about this foxy-lady that gnawed at the edge of her mind. She wasn't quite sure what it was....
"I don't know," the woman grinned happily, her suspicions not shining through. "I don't think a little fun warrants a carnival act. That was mostly something I did with my children when I tried to cheer them up. Sometimes at the hospital too..." she was about to say when she went to visit children that she had taken there, mostly from accidents and parental abuse, but felt that wasn't really necessary.
"Actually, I was a police officer before coming here," Bobby shrugged. It was then that she thought she placed the tone. It was the same that many people treated her with at home. There, people thought they were better or spiteful towards cops, and didn't do anything to hide such distaste. But that couldn't be right, they had just met!
"Name's Bobby," the woman extended a welcoming hand."A police officer...too?" Madison bit her cheeks to keep from bursting out with laughter. The 'too' in her sentence was said quietly..or so she hoped.
In New York there were alot of cop haters and many referred to them as 'pigs' and the police station as the 'the pig pen'. Madison liked the police herself and never had any problems with them. She didn't understand how they got this blantant nick name. Still, the thought of this woman being a cop and turning into a pig couldn't help but make her chuckle to herself.
Madison kinda felt bad after she heard this woman was a volunteer at a hospital and seemed generous of her time. She herself never donated any time..probably should have.
"It's nice to meet you, Bobby! My name is Madison" she said while extending a pawed hand."A police officer... only," Bobby corrected the fox. After a pause, though, she reconsidered, "Well, I guess and a mother. I couldn't tell you which was more difficult. New York City was pretty rough, but so was my house." She added the last bit with a good-natured wink.
The woman picked up the chuckle and sighed. She knew the animal selection was probably not random, a kind of sick joke, "Hmm, yeah... ironic, I guess. Not like being called a pig is anything new to me."
Bobby took the offered pawed hand and shook it without hesitation. After letting it go, the pig reached to the backpack behind her and pulled out a sandwich. Looking at Madison, the woman smiled a little, "Did you want something to eat? I have to carry around a ton of food, so I am always loaded." Under her breath, Bobby cursed something about the pig's demands."Yes, ironic indeed. I been called a fox before coming to the island by several men. It's so strange that I'm now turning into a fox. I guess we are alot alike" Madison said while eyeing the food.
This Bobby was so much different from other people she met. Bobby seemed to be so giving of herself as though she were a saint. Madison usually had to use trickery to get what she wanted from others but Bobby was offering straight up kindness to her. It also made her feel badly because she never really gotten to know any black people.. only thought of them as someone who would serve her. It was also strange that Bobby was now offering to feed her like Delia always did back in her New Orleans mansion.
"Thanks, I would really appreciate a sandwich. That's really kind of you" she said with a smile, trying to push aside all her previous sterotypical feelings of blacks.Bobby couldn't help but snicker when Madison illiterated her animal nickname, as it were. "I am not sure the context was the same.... but I do know what you mean."
"Vegetable sandwich, meat, or a mixture of the two?" the woman asked, removing the bag and setting it on the ground so it was easier for her to dig through them. Of course, the sandwiches just /had/ to be at the bottom.
While wriggling her fat fingers around food and going further down and down, Bobby looked up at Madison, "Sorry to, darken the mood, but what do you think about that announcement? Is it for real?" The pig knew next to nothing. The only person she had seen was Pyroth, who's memory allowed much interpretation. It all seemed surrel to her.Madison's sapphire eyes brightened at the mention of the previous announcement her cousin gave. She has somewhat forgotten the real reason she left her bungalow in the first place. These animal urges were making her want to eat all the time and only think of food. Perhaps her changing body needed it..who knew.
"I prefer meat by itself. Oh yes, the announcement. I'm just appalled that someone would hurt someone else like that. I feel for my own saftey as well. The culprit could probably be anywhere...I only hope they are found before they will strike down another innocent. Do you know anyone who could of done such a horrible thing?"
She shuddered as she realized that she didn't know her own whereabouts now that she thought of it. The electric shock had blacked her out and she did wake up in the same place. Just she couldn't really trust anyone or herself either. It could be anyone..and that scared her. Bobby knew exactly what the fox would want... well, she hoped so. Feeling around the sandwich types, without harming them of course, the woman finally grabbed the right one. She pulled it out with great care, and her work paid off. The woman took out and handed the sandwich, which didn't look bruised at all, to the fox, "Roast beef, salami, and chicken. I hope you like it... sorry there is no ham, I haven't had the nerve to 'eat my own kind' yet." The pig shuddered at the thought.
"I have to agree. I know some people are very discontented with the whole situation. To be honest, I am too... I don't appreciate being ripped from my family without the chance to ever see them again... but, attempted murder is too far. I can imagine some vocal arguments to voice myself, but I worked to keep the murders down... not create more." Bobby sighed. "I do not know who would stoop to such a level, though. Granted, I haven't met many others, so my list is fairly short."
After a paused, the woman reached in to grab a sandwich for herself. "I am not too concerned for myself. I've been threatened by a lot more... even had to enter a house with an angry, hungry, tiger in it. That wasn't very pleasant. I do worry for others, though. If the this killer goes after one of my friends, well... they better what what's coming." The pig's eyes flashed in anger. "I may not initiate an attack, but I will sure end it!."
"But, I didn't see anything," Bobby calmed, the look in her eyes gone. "I was in my duplex the whole time. Blacked out and woke up in the same uncomfortable spot. I would be suspicious of Billy, though. If I hadn't heard him scream before the black-out, I would say him. I already know he's a murderer, he killed my partner..." As her anger bubbled up again, the pig's fist closed around the nearest thing, which happened to be a tomato. Pulling her hand out, red with juic and tomato skin, Bobby cursed, trying to clean up the mess.Madison's heart skipped a beat when she saw the blood..or tomato sauce on Bobby's hand. It was as though she had a deja vu for a second there. It shocked her beyond belief that a known murderer was on the island.
"Whaat? So this Billy is allowed to rendezvous around the entire island while everyone knowing he killed before? I'm very sorry to hear about your partner's death. If I ever come across this Billy.. I don't know what I would do to keep myself from letting him have it. I hate those who hurt others with a passion" she growled under her breath.
Still, Bobby said that Billy probably wasn't the one who 'did it' but after hearing this it gave Madison some suspicions anyways. It angered her that her cousin would let someone like this on the island. 'What kind of person is he now?' Madison thought to herself. It was the Moreau family motto (at least her side) to always stick together. She had torn feelings now. "I am pretty sure he knows. Though, Billy claims he's only killed two people in his whole life, and my partner was one..." Boby snorted, getting the last of the juice off by rubbing it off her shorts. "Lucky me, that was the only reason I chased him... He wasn't high priority, and we just happened to see him. It's just great how things turn out," she said it all sarcastically, though with a tone of the 'horrible facts of life'.
Bobby smiled slightly up at Madison, she was sure she like this woman! Anyone that had a beef with Billy was a potential ally... of course, Pyroth had sided with the octopus once and almost changed her views on him ever since. They had long-since reconciled, though. "You do that," Bobby snickered, "And tell him Bobby says hello."
Reaching back in, the pig brought out her sandwich without any more troubles. Finally, she stood back to her feet. "Of course, we're all here know, and Billy /is/ turning into an octopus... so at least a little justice in the world," Bobby smiled. She chose not to think about her own misfortunes in the matter."I doubt that he only killed two people. Once someone gets a taste of taking one's life, there is a good chance they will do it again. I've dealt with people like this when I worked in an asylum back in New York. Their tendencies may be latent but they could rise at any moment. The person is a ticking time bomb" Madison explained between bites of the salami.
Still, this Billy sounded very fascinating the way Bobby said he was turning into an octopus. These creatures were sometimes referred to as 'devilfish' and were predatory, from what she remembered from school anyways. Now that he was becoming an octopus, did this Billy behave even similar to the horrible creature? It was a psychological conundrum that Madison couldn't help but want to solve.
"I don't know if I could be any match to him. My teeth and claws are not formed very well. I prefer to talk things out instead of resort to violence" she said, pausing a little, "Perhaps through psychoanalysis and treatment he could be cured. Maybe the attacker of Aubrey as well. I'm a firm believer that society affects the actions of everyone. There are no natural born killers in my opinion".
Madison thought about what she said. Did she really believe that? Maybe it was what she had been fed mentally by her professors in school and by other people in the field of psychiatry. She kinda wished she had been there to see this Billy chased away like that. Just the thought made her wonder if they weren't so tough after all.Bobby nodded, agreeing with the statement. She knew all about it. Shootings were pretty common in New York. To hear that Madison worked at an asylum was a bit of a shock. The lady looked far too generous... not to mention pretty... to be working in such a place. "What did you do there? I didn't got to asylums pretty often, but I thought they mostly like muscled 'nurses' around there... keep the patients in line and such."
After a pause, Bobby grinned a little, "Don't worry, I'll try and keep my eyes on Billy as much as I can... as long as I am not buzzed unconscious again." Her smile relaxed into something less malicious and more tender, "If he comes after you, I'll teach him a little something. I may not be transformed very much, and my body may be heftier than I am used to, but I still have thick -maybe even thicker- nails and a couple of sharp teeth.... not to mention a sharp tongue." The woman winked with the last remark.

Metaplot - Stay Strong, Colche (Labs p. 27-28 ) Bobby :: Colche Okay! She was going to do it! Bobby had been searching for Colche for awhile, and had no luck until Pyroth told her where to find the cheetah. She should have known. The girl was probably worried sick about her 'Mommy', and would do anything to see the injured woman.
So, Bobby stopped by cafeteria, two large bags -backpack and dufflebag- in tow. She stuffed them both plump with food, and chocolate cake. The dufflebag was really nice... isolated so whatever was in it wouldn't spoil. It took her longer than expected to get to the lab gates... not only was her movement slow from her added weight, but she was carrying two large bags as well.
Finally, the pig shuffled by and caught sight of the tent. Her heart poured out for the girl, but Bobby was glad that someone had thought ahead so Colche wasn't sleeping unprotected.
Huffing and puffing, with some cursing under her breath, Bobby dropped her bags and flopped on the ground like the exhausted pig she was.Colche was tucked happily in to her tent. She had come out periodically to sit in the tents opening and stare up at the cold grey building where Aubrey was stil 'sleeping'. She was a tad hungry, but she refused to move until they let her see her mommy.
Crawling to the edge of the tent again she looked up longingly at the building only to catch a familiar scent. Everyone was coming to see if Aubrey was okay. She smiled and clambered out of the tent , taking a short run and glomping Bobby in an unceremonious rough fashion "Bobby!" she stated puuring her little head off. Bobby had hardly enough time to catch her breath. She heard the cheetah and had tried to quickly get up, but she was still sitting when Colche collided with the pig's protective fat.
The both went down, Colche purring and Bobby with a piggish grunt. Shortly, the woman recovered and wrapped her chunky arms around the girl as best she could. "Well hello Colche! I hope you are doing alright out here. Your tent looks cozy, though!"
Turning a little, the woman got a hold of the strap from the dufflebag. "I hope you're hungry, I brought a feast, even by my standards." Bobby ruffled Colche's hair as she pulled the bag over. Colche smiled and nodded a little "mommy sleeping, I wan see" she states simpy looking a little forelorn though she tried hard to push it away. She wanted to know why she hadn't woken up yet, why wasn't she allowed in? she just wnated to see Aubrey, just for a little bit.
Looking at the bag her eyes lit up. She was indeed hungy "tent good" she stated with a weak little whisp of a smile on her lips as she stood and attempted to help bobby up to her tent. It was big enough for two, even with somone as big as Bobby inside it.Bobby nodded, but didn't say anything. Aubrey was recovering, and the time for such a thing could take awhile. But Colche was so sad about it and seemed to not want to reflect on the misfortunes, the woman couldn't bring herself to say anything.
As the woman was led to the tent, grabbing the backpack quickly and dragging both bags over, she looked at it doubtably. Could she fit? Sure enough, Colche led her further, inside the tent, and it seemed Bobby would have no problems. "Wow, this tent is a lot bigger than it looks," the woman nodded approvingly. "I am impressed!" Bobby reached over and patted the tent wall carefully as if thanking it for being so big.
It was back to business, with a grin to Colche, the Woman opened up the large dufflebag. "This is for you. I packed it as much and carefully as I could. You can share some of my food, of course, though mine has a variety with some greens in it," Bobby winked as she unpacked some food from the duffle and some from the backpack.Colche smiled gently, happy there was chocolate cake packed but before she touched it she just double checked the guards were still there, the building hadn't vanished, noone had coem out to get her to say Aubrey was awake. her ears flattened holding the peice of cake she nibbled at it slowly. A very unusual thing for the little cheetah girl to do. She usually bolted ehr food incase it ran off, a remnant of her old life.
Putting the cake down half finished she watched Bobby, her big baby blue eyes filled with worry. Pyroth had promised Aubrey would wake up and thats he would be the first person she would want to see, she was still frightened, that Aubrey wouldn't wake up that her mommy was gone forever just like Bambis mommy never came back.
Licking her lips she looked at the cake, it was good cake, ehr favourite type of cake and her tummy was rumbling quietly making her tummy wobble a bit uncomfortably, but she didn't ant it. She'd give up chocolate cake forever if they would just let her in, just for a little bit.Bobby took a bite of her sandwich. It was a strange concoction, even for her; like a strange casserole in a hoagie-bun. She had only taken two bites when she noticed Colche's look. The girl was worried sick! Putting down her sandwich, the woman reach forward and held the cheetah in a tender hug.
"Oh Colche," the woman said softly. "I'm sure everything will be alright." Even though Bobby was unsure of her words, for she didn't know the extent of the damages, she smiled encouragedly. Surely, the all-powerful Moreau wouldn't let his beloved die! "Before you know it, Aubrey will be holding you in her arms and telling you how proud she is of you for being so strong," The pig reached around and smoothed a loose piece of black hair from Colche's face. When she was pulled in to Bobbys arms she finallycried. She had been staying dry eyed as much as she could, hanging around hoping that Aubrey would wake up any second and give her a hug. But she hadn't and she was starting to wonder if she ever would. Usually a promise from Pyroth was enough to set the little cheetah girls mind at ease, and it had, at first but her resolution was starting to slip.
She buried ehr head in the large womans bossom and sobbed softly. Everyone said she would be okay but did anyone know? She didn't know entirely what the message had said what seemed like an eternity ago but she hadn't moved, she wa hungry but didn't want to eat, she just wanted Aubrey. "I want mommy" she whisperes ehr voice a squeeky muurr.Seeing Colche break down didn't fail to make Bobby tear up. Is this what her children were going through? Surely Patty and Mel were too old to fully admit it... especially Patty who was so like her mother and very independent. But what about Dicky? He was the baby of the family, and had always had his mother there. In fact, they all had...despite her demanding job. A crouple large drops rolled down her cheek and blended into Colche's hair.
The pig rocked the cheetah a little, crooning softly, "There, there, sweety. I wish I had the answers, just to take away your fears. I wish I could bring her back, to wipe your tears." Bobby carefully reached down and lifted Colche's chin so she could look into those magnificent blue eyes. She smiled gently, "But she has to come back. No one would ever be able to leave precious Colche. She just too cute and dear to all of our hearts, and Aubrey's especially!" Bobby tweaked Colche's nose, trying to get at least a small smile from the cheetah. With the tilt of her chin she looked at bobby those huge innocent blue eyes swelledwith tears that she had refused to shed, she wanetd to be brave, it was so hard and with Bobby here her defences had gone at last.
She smiled ever so slightly at the compliment but her ears flattened and she simply cuddled up In Bobby's lap. She knew Aubrey didn't want to leave her, but what if she did? Bambis mother didn't want to leave him either but she went away for ever. "wants her back now" she whispers in a squeeky childish manner, she just had to know Aubrey would come back and hug her again and read her stories, that Aubrey would still be her mommy after all this. That ehr party wasn't her last happy memory of the woman who recued her.Bobby kept her smiled while Colche looked at her. She would try to be strong enough for the both of them. To see the cheetah in such a state of sadness was enough to tear anyone's heart out. Upon seeing the young woman's smile, the pig thought there was some hope. But the motion was short-lived.
When Colche cuddled in her lap, Bobby started to hum a nice slow, and soothing song. She smoothed back the cheetah's hair as best she could, trying to help the young woman who was currently like a desperate child. "I know, I know... I want her back too... we just have to wait..." Her words sounded horrible to her, how were they supposed to help? Bobby always had a hard time reflecting on her own children, and truly tried not to think about what they were going through with her absense... but now Colche needed her, and Aubrey behind the fence and hard walls of the lab.Colche snuffled. She had felt sad before but it usually came with fear, she had never had the heart wrenching task of knowing somone might not come back. The waiting was pulling hard at her heart. She felt sick and exhausted.
"Jus' wan' mommy bck" she manages between sobs. She had been through alot in that little life of hers. Livign in fear of light, tortured and raped, molested by men with sick disspossitions, but this, this hurt more even than that, at least that was in the past, she could think of nothing but happiness, living in the sun, running and sunbathing and playing in the sand or the sea, eating what ever she wished. Simple things that people take for granted. Taking a bath, having a pet sleeping in a bed. Having a mother. That most important of things, the one person that had given her everything else. Yet, she didn't know if she would ever see Aubrey again, would everything else go with her? Would she be put in the dark again? Aubrey was her protector her saviour, what happened if she was gone? "please.." she mumbled, knowing full well Bobby couldn't do anything about the situation at hand but just asking, just incase she could.Bobby clung tighter to Colche. This was all wrong, the cheetah did not deserve this. Even though she didn't know about the young woman's past, she did not feel it could have been a good one. The clues added up to a very difficult past, but on this Island -with Aubrey too-, Colche had found happiness... and now that happiness was being threatened. It didn't seem right.
The pig's anger was starting to surface. Bobby was getting mad at the whole situation. She was mad at the storm that so conveniently created this problem. Mad at the attacker for taking Aubrey away from Colche. Mad at the guards who wouldn't allow the cheetah to go in and see her 'mommy'. Mad at herself for beind so helpless. Mad at Billy, because he was always the root of her anger and although she didn't have a reason at the moment, she was mad at him as well.
But, for Colche's sake, Bobby refused to let her body show it. Her eyes were flashing a dangerous rage. The woman's voice and movements were still calm and tender, held in check for sake of the young woman cuddled in her lap.
