Deumos felt it very hard to trust him again after everything that had happened just then. But had to for the sake of the task at hand. After taking the strip on clothing from him, she sat down on the edge on the building, draping the fabric over her wounds tightly to hopefully slow the bleeding.
"I think it is six months.. although it's been a long time since I was taught that stuff" she explained, trying to the image of a fat body out of her mind. Deumos loved her oddly thin appearance, it was part of her makeup to look like it. And even went without food sometimes to keep the look up.

"It sounds like it's going to take a while. Is it all right if I help you find food and such?" Argo rather than doing what he had done earlier wanted to make it up with Deumos so he offered this kind of assistance to her since she probably didn't know the human world well. He himself still think he did either.

Food sounded pretty good right now, she had been surviving on small woodland creatures since she got there. It wasn't much but enough to tie her over for a few more days at the most. She looked up at him after tying a knot in her D.I.Y dressing as tight as she could, it was soaking up the blood fairly well for a piece of shirt. "You know were to get food?" Deumos asked him, her eyes lit up like it was Christmas.

Argo nodded and said, "Yes, if you would like to lead a life as the nice, plump mother of my child then you would do well to follow me. I have collected a lot of something humans call cash and apparently I can trade it for food. Although, it's nowhere near the quality you would expect. Instead of, um, maybe human souls, three cups of blood a day, and the delicious taste of human flesh I have been surviving on hamburgers. I'm not sure what you ate before, but that's what my typical meal used to be until the hamburgers came along."

Everything he was telling her about the way food worked on earth. No raw meat? No blood? How was this guy even living on these so called 'hamburgers'. It made no sense to her at all. What was a hamburger anyway? it wasn't a word she had ever heard in the demonic vocabulary. "I've.. been eating small mammals" Deumos explained to him, remembering ripping into each one like an animal made her smile.
If she was going to get even close to him as her mentor had planned, this could be it, Argo's offer of letting her follow him. She still didn't know the full aspects of this 'evil' plan in store, but had to just get on with it. "Lead the way..."

Argo nodded and picked her up, cradling her in his arms bridal style. He flew over the city until he found a hamburger joint and landed in the parking lot. A car came to a complete halt in front of him and he set Deumos down. Looking back at the car, he could see the shocked face of the driver and ignored it.
"Don't look at the car drivers. They duck and cover every time they see me dear as he walked towards the restaurant. He opened the door and stepped inside hoping that Deumos would follow him like she said. Once inside he pointed up at a menu and said, "This restaurant sells already killed meat on two slices of bread. It may not be blood and fresh human flesh, but it is decent."
A clerk working at the register noticed him in line and everyone quickly moved aside, "I'm a regular here, but I have no idea why they step aside for me. I think it's cause I rescue them all on a daily basis." In fact, that was absolutely wrong. People were scared silly every time he actually walked around their area. They saw him as a dangerous creature, but dared not do anything after seeing what he could already do.
"Forty hamburgers please," Argo told the clerk as he handed him two one hundred dollar bills from his pockets. Since he had come to Earth and ordered hamburgers he had come to play a guessing game of how many hamburgers were equivalent to a human body. The amount of hamburgers he could eat in one sitting was twenty, so he guessed that's how much meat was on a human skeleton. He hoped twenty of these would satisfy Deumos.

Deumos was a little taken back when he carried her across the city, the whole time she didn't look down, heights were her weakness.. hated them. As they landed, she felt much safer being on the ground where he couldn't drop her.
"Don't look at the car drivers. They duck and cover every time they see me".. Even though he asked not to look, she couldn't help but to. Watching the poor driver shiver and shake in their seat, even inside was a shock. Taking in a deep breath, she could smell the sweat of fear in most of them. "Maybe we were wrong about him, it looms at though these humans fear him.. or it could be me, I can't tell" Deumos thought to herself before following him inside. Looking around the room was a delight, so many humans. All different shapes, sizes, gender and colour.. it was like a buffet... so tempting.. just looking at them all made her mouth water.

The clerk came out with the hamburgers in three or four huge bags and handed them to Argo. He handed these to Deumos and got his change. Looking at her, he noticed she was possibly targeting the humans and asked, "I know I sent you into a restaurant with a lot of humans, dear, but are you thinking of snacking on them? If so, then at least try the hamburgers first before you eat them. I may decide to go back to my old diet if my wife can't stand them."
Everyone in the crowd who heard him started panicking and amidst the chaos he decided to let out his demon fire. With it. He melted the hinges to all the doors and windows to the building shut and stated to the scared crowd, "I'm getting bored saving you humans. I was trying to do good, but my new wife here, Deumos, has possibly convinced me to do otherwise, maybe, but I need to see if she can live off the same food I have, so sit down, be quiet, and I won't start eating you."
Argo had no idea what he was doing saying or acting this way, but he felt in his heart that the crowds possibly scared her somehow. He wanted to protect her if she wasn't intent on eating them. It made him want to laugh.

After hearing all the harshness he spoke about to the humans, it hit her like a speeding truck. When they met, Argo was gentle for a demon, a quality she had never seen in someone of her own kind. It was her seducing and twisting everything that caused him to be like his, and accidentally creating a life with him. It was with this, Deumos knew she had fallen for Argo, whether she liked it or not, it was true.
She had to stop this, even if he did turn back to his old ways, she knew it would make no difference with the Demonic leaders. He had already turned his back to the entire race. But she didn't want to see him as messed up and twisted like had become.
Putting all the bags of food in one hand, she placed the other on his shoulder "Don't do this.. you'll tarnish all the good you've done" Deumos whispered warmly into his ear.

Argo growled and sighed as he took Deumos' hand and ran out of the store with her, breaking through a window in the process since he had melted the doors shut. All the humans around them wondered what had happened, but he simply ran with Deumos and blood shards of glass in his body as he said, "I don't know why I'm acting like this, but I think- I think I need a way to relieve my demonic energy."
He cared not that he was bleeding as he ran, but wondered if Deumos might. For some reason, his mind was telling him to do something impressive for her and he thought gathering a large amount of human food for her might be good, instead, she had still looked like she wanted to feast on humans, which is why he was slightly mad.

Suddenly being dragged and flung though a window, one of the bags Deumos was carrying split open from the broken pieces of glass that shattered everywhere. Luckily she still had hold of the other two in her claws. Because of the angle she was at, some small bits were dug into her left arm, not many though.
"Do you need to kill something?" she asked, thinking he should go off into a wooded area and find a creature if he was feeling like that. While still running with him, she could feel something warm on her hand, it was his blood. "wait a minute... stop.. right now.. you can't round around the place bleeding like that."

Argo skidded to a halt and nodded yes, "I think I really need to kill something badly. I-I wanted to let you try human food, but I've been so stupid I've been a few months without a good human to eat and unfortunately it's possibly caught up with me. With you being pregnant now, and this, my demon instincts have gotten way too hard to handle."
He pointed into the forest they had ended up running near and said, "Go in there and get me something really big. Then come back and we can eat. I want to know what you have planned with the future for our child afterwards. You've given up on the demon realm too and I'm not sure what to think about you staying on as a super hero with me. People I've come to realize may actually hate me, so we really need to hide."

Deumos just dropped the food he had given her to the floor, thinking he didn't need it now he was talking about live meat. After attacking her, dragging her around the city and now asking to find him some prey, he was pushing his luck with her. "I might as well help him" she thought "It's clearly my fault anyway."
Before leaving to hunt, she wanted to do something first. Without warning, Deumos yanked out shards of glass penetrating his skin, she only took out the larger pieces though. "I'm sorry, but I had to do that.." explaining her actions, she gave one of his open wounds a small kiss. "I won't be long.."
Stretching and bouncing on her legs to warm them up for another sprint, Deumos went for it.. speeding off into the woodland area. Her nose was so busy, trying to catch the scent of something, so far all that could be found were small sparrows and a couple of fuzzy bunnies. Not much it seemed. Hunting for a few more minutes, her ears picked up the sound of something munching. Slinking through the foliage, she reached to source of the noise.. A large adult deer, grazing on a patch of newly sprouted grass in a stream of sunlight that came through gaps in the leaves of the tree tops. The whole setting looked like a scene from Bambi almost, if she had ever seen the movie but obviously Deumos hadn't. "you'll do nicely" the woman said with a growl, her voice made it's soft ears perk up. Letting out another growl, Deumos lunged at the creature. Eyes solid black as she began to tear at it's throat like a crazed breast. It tried to buck and kick off, nearly succeeding a few times until her demonic core kicked in, beating the poor mammal to the ground in a bloody mess. But not enough to kill it. The deer was still breathing weakly as Deumos looked down at it with solid black eyes and its blood dripping down her chest.
Grabbing one of it's legs, the hungry Demon dragged through the forest, not caring if it got knocked on a sharp rock or anything. "there.." she panted, throwing the barely alive animal. "I kept it alive for you" Deumos spoke as she reached Argo's location.

Argo took the deer from her and uttered thanks as he used his powerful hands to snap his neck. He sat down on the ground and began to eat it before saying, "Let's eat... You're my wife now and you did a good job, so you deserve a reward. You can eat what remains of the hamburgers and we can share this fresh deer."
He spoke with a food full of mouth so he ended up spitting some of the meat up and balling it up into a grimy mess. Holding it in his hand, he pushed it towards her and let her take some of it if she wanted to. He was smiling the whole time thinking of what she would do.

She sat down near him as he chomped down on deer meat, she on the other hand was looking inside the bag full of hamburgers. It smelled like a body being burned on a fire to her, but only a small hint. Seeing tomato sauce in all of them made her think it was real blood! Finally! Blood!.Her head dived in, pulling about two burgers in each hand. Sniffing the dead cooked meat, it seemed all okay. Deumos' jaw then seemed to dislocate like a snakes almost! But dislocation was a myth.. still it looked impressive, fitting three burgers into her mouth at a time and rarely having to chew.
After swallowing a few handfuls, she licked the mix of ketchup and mustard off her lips "I can see why you ate these, why don't they have these at home?!" She beamed oddly like a drug addict. They were rather tasty! Cooked meat was something she had never tried and was glad she did. But her happy mood seemed to drop as the scent of the prey hit her nose once more.. she had to have some.. her body demanded it, so long without raw meat was torture.
Deumos crawled over to the body slowly, hovering her fingers over the bite wounds. It wasn't long before she was ripping into it's flesh and gulping chunks down whole. Having meat like this again seemed to change her completely. Getting into it more and more, Deumos' spine seemed to arch and stick out more under her skin, it was changing shape so much it looked like it was about to break out of her body.
