Lily listened to Chris nodded excitedly as he spoke about the wedding interjecting every so often. "Don't worry about it," she said, "it's probably sitting on the table waiting for me." Though she was slightly worried because the last thing she'd sent to Chris had come from England and well clearly she was not there. "The twenty-ninth is just fine. I'll just have to make sure my boss knows not to schedule me than and school will be on break." She gave a smile and nod about the charity thing and knew exactly where she would be donating too.

Then much like Chris, she remembered her new friend and gave a laugh at the girl's response to Chris, "we haven't seen each other in a long time, but there will be lots of time to catch up later, and thinking about it. I havent seen your brother since camp ... call him ..." she started only to be interrupted by Trevor's appearance at the table.

She gave another smile at the boy, feeling her cheeks instantly heating up as she remember there jog a few days back. She gave a quick, "Hi Trevor," and tried her best to ignore the rising blush. "It's all in good fun for us math geeks," she said even though she wasn't really a math geek, "because who doesn't love some sort of free pie."

She was about to make introductions when Zia flopped down at the table asking about Orah and she decided to quickly try to get introductions in before someone appeared. She took quick breath and looked to Zia, "her's name's Orah. We just met today, but she's really nice."

She waved a hand at Zia, "Orah this is my friend Zia. Zia, Orah." She looked to Trevor blushing a bit more and continued on, "Everyone this is my friend Trevor," and she pointed to each as she called out there names. "Trevor these are my friends Chris, Zia, and Orah."

She gave a slightly huff happy to have that over with and looked to Zia again, "I haven't seen you and a while either you know. You should come for another sleepover, we can stay at the big house and bug Xander a bit if you like."

Lily stopped at the shouting looking perplexed over to the direction where Chris pointed out his brother. Her mouth dropped open as Zia's brother seem to jump into a woman, her boss's lap, face first.

Phina's day was just getting more iffy by the second as she watched the cat *********> go after the sandwich and pie with gusto, before realizing the pie was chocolate which had her about to give the little waitress a piece of her mind, but she'd stop before she even got started when Ridley informed her ********* at all sort of things a cat really should eat and she just eyed them all oddly and nodded.

Her day went from iffy to just plain ridiculous in just a few second as she went from staring at Noah for his outburst to have him literally in her lap. Her expression could only be described as flabbergasted before she turned deep red and looked just angry and embarrassed.

"Noah," she huffed. "What on earth are you doing," she sputtered managing to stop herself from saying, not the time nor the place, because really there were children present and Noah was making enough as a scene already.

Trevor chuckles lightly as Lily blushed, but quickly glanced around at her friends nodding politely to each one in turn "Pleasure to meet you all" he said with a grin. Before glancing at Lily "aren't you a social butterfly" he told her with a smile. She had way more friends then he did, although the majority of them were girls, not that he had anything against having girls as friends. Then thought about it "that would make sense, I'm not a math geek I'm more athletic then anything else" he said. Before stepping to the side so he wasn't blocking Zia's view of the rest of Lily's friends.

He was use to all the people at his games but with this many people in one location, seemed a little overwhelming. But he would tolerate the big crowd just to hang out with Lily and her friends. To be honest he had never actually met any of Lily's other friends. He shrugged a bit before looking around as the crowd got bigger by each second. Then again coming across these types of social functions, you would get to meet some new people and make some new friends in the process.

Orah's face heated at Zia's question and she reached to tuck her hair behind her ears to hide her fluster. It seemed that their little group had nearly tripled in size in a matter of moments, leaving her both pleased and embarrassed. She loved being in a large group, but at the same time it brought her alot of attention for being new and needing to be introduced to all the others. Lily seemed to collect people like a magnet. Just sitting still, people came to her. It might have made Orah jealous, but there was too much going on right now for her to truly think about it.

She smiled and waved as she was introduced, offering a soft "Nice to meet you." to the people around the table. Scooting over, she put herself against the wall to open up the bench seat for another person. If anyone else showed up, they might need to find a different, larger table to sit at.

The commotion nearby drew her attention and she craned her neck to see what was going on. This place certainly was lively.

Chris smiled cheerfully when Zee joined them, although... there was something different about her from the last time he'd caught a glimpse of her. "Zee... your shirt," he said simply. His eyes narrowing on her in disapproval. What the hell had she been doing that required her to take off her shirt...?? He was obviously missing something, but couldn't make too much of a scene about it.

Either way, he didn't like it. He was almost too distracted to pay attention to Lily's introductions, glancing around instead for someone else who might look suspicious.

"Hey now," he said softly amidst an awkward laugh in response to Trevor, although he was still too distracted to give him his full attention, "It's possible to be good at math and athletic." He spoke from experience, after all. Baseball and math were kind of his forte.

"What the hell is your brother doing, Zee?" he asked, wondering if he should get up and pull his own brother out of harm's way. This was getting a little out of hand.

No kidding. One minute he was going to spout off numbers to prove that he was more intelligent than Ridley (or he at least knew more random math trivia), and the next there was Zia's brother making a huge mess. "Hey, watch it!" he shouted, jumping to his feet so he could protect his tablet and backpack.

"Oh my!" the elder of the purple haired pair squeaked out at her cousin's interesting reason for being there. However, the explanation was expanded and Yvette's cheeks cooled back to that soft pink color.

"..um... that's fine... seeing as how most people came here in pairs or groups... I was starting to feel a bit lonely. So... um... your company is greatly appreciated, Lyddie!"

Yvette let out a little giggle at her cousin's misunderstanding Pi versus Pie. It was cute! "It's 3.14159... if you can remember it fast enough..." Her eyes managed to notice one of the servers (though not Noah) approaching their table with a Lemon Meringue Pie slice.

"Th-thank you!" she squeaked out before eying her cousin to give the five digits she just chirped out moments ago. If not, the pie would only be $3.14. Which wasn't too bad.

_____________________________

As the owner ran off to tend to her order, she simply offered a "Thanks, bro!"

It was boring for a while, since Hobbes had his pie now, and more than likely was not going to be his usual fantastic conversationalist self as he ate his pie.

However, it didn't prevent her from looking at him with a perverted grin. It was probably the only sort of pie he would get. However, she wasn't going to say it. Even a tomboy had to respect some sort of line.

The boring streak did vanish soon enough as someone began screaming about the cat again. He haphazardly delivered her order, though half of the order ended up on the floor, but then he pounced stupidly towards another table.

It was quite a show. Ellie only momentarily mourned the loss of the Jalapenos, but proceeded to the other half of her meal with much gusto. She dipped the chicken in the sauce and took a good soggy bite.

Her face grew quite red quite quickly, but despite how her body naturally reacted to the blatantly spicy sauce, she was grinning the whole time. "Ah sh*t, this stuff's great!" she declared before turning to Hobbes and offered him a bizarre suggestion.

"Ya should put some of this on yer pie! Seriously, it's f*ckin' amazin'!"

********* had maybe managed to polish off about half of the turkey sandwich when there was quite a commotion nearby.

Apparently at her expense too!

Momentarily peeking up from her sandwich, she managed to see the hand of the sudden invader (Noah) right there at her level. She couldn't help but feel a bit guilty, her ears pinning back as she took a quick glance over the mess he was making because of her.

Now, she couldn't outright just tell him she was sorry. She was a cat, and cat's did not talk normally. So instead, she broke away from her sandwich for a moment only to pad up to his hand and give it a few apologetic (and scratchy) licks. However, it only lasted a couple moments before she went back to the pie for another bite of the chocolatey goodness, then once more back to her turkey sandwich.

Pascal came out of the bathroom all cleaned up. His shirt wasn't tucked all the way into his pants anymore, and his hair was a little messed up but only someone who touched his hair as much as Zia would probably have noticed the usually messy hair was a little messier. There was definitely a grin on his face as he walked over to Zia.

"As fun as that was," he said out loud, leaning in to whisper the rest of his sentence into her ear. It was dirty, ******** dirty. He smiled, and brushed against her as he went on his way out of the diner.

Ms. Walter's face dropped when suddenly her pie took a trip across the table and onto the floor. She simply stared at the poor thing for a minute, her mind jumping back to the last time she'd order a pie here. It was like this place was cursed, at least for her. She felt like she was never going to get to each the pie here, and she kept hearing it was so good! Critical eyes fell across the floor to find the source of Noah's rage, her purple eyes narrowing on *********. A cat.

She didn't seem to care that there were people at the table ********* was hiding under but at the same time she took an analytical approach to it. She kept suspicions low until the moment of truth, scooping down on the unsuspecting animal with her coat. She wrapped the jacket around her so she couldn't resist nor scratch her, and then ran out of the diner before the cat could squirm out.

She passed by Pascal on his way out, and once the door shut behind him she put the cat down on the ground and shook the jacket a little to get her to come out. She waited until the cat made her way out and then she spoke. She didn't seem to be speaking to the cat because that was just silly and instead it seemed like she was justifying her decision.

"Animals are a health and safety concern in the food industry," she stated with a pause. "Unless they're dead." Even then it was debatable.

Zia's facial expression was toying just on the end of comfortably smug, especially combined with the one arm over the back of her chair slump she had relaxed into. Clearly a cat in owned territory, her demeanor was nothing short of queen of the chaotic greasy spoon.

Trevor's greeting was met with one raised eyebrow, though, as she listened ever so vaguely to Lily's introductions and keeping her eyes firmly set on this new boy she was clearly blushing at. Well, he may not have been pretty but the dynamics suddenly made him a lot more interesting.

'aren't you a social butterfly'

It wasn't addressed to Zia at all, but the sentiment did make the corner of her mouth twitch up as she mimicked his tone, "Well aren't you kind of a d**k."

Of course Lily had friends. Her Lily. Her Lily and her friends in her-- Or, her brother's-- general area of business. Who was this guy? Where did he come from? Who the hell did he think he was?

If Chris thought Zia's entirely unfair scrutiny when it came to trying to introduce possible love interests to the social group extended only to him, he was so sorely mistaken. Plus, Maia was Zirconia's senshi, a relationship that, according to Zia, didn't end at civilian lines. There was definitely some smug behavior going on.

At least until Chris pointed out her shirt and she glanced down at it, suddenly thrown off, "What? What's wrong with i-- oh s**t," The hem was sticking out. "Nothing, I got flour on it," She said, clearing her throat and trying her best to brush him off, easily distracting herself with his question. "Jesus ******** Christ, I have no idea." Noah in Phina's lap probably wouldn't have phased her, he was constantly trying to get in that skank's pants for reasons Zia was sure she didn't know. Except he was yelling and swearing and looking like he was about to have a stroke as he clawed under the table for something so. That was new.

She was watching him in total confusion when Pascal approached announcing he had fun, and suddenly his face was against her ear whispering things she displayed wide eyed worry at the very concept of anyone hearing. Zia didn't blush easily, but she was blushing now.

"a**," She said flatly, giving him a light shove from her chair as he started walking away. And then after a moment of hesitation, mulling over his whispers, darted after him with a, "Hey, wait up!" Exiting the diner shortly after him.

---------

Noah was not endeared by the little scratchy kitty kisses. He scrambled after her under the table before she was scooped up by Nick, his prey just out of his reach again.

Not that he was going to skin her or anything, he just wanted the honors of punting the damn thing out all on his own. However, he calmed down as he tumbled to the floor next to the table, and did concede that Ms. Walter Probably saved the day by both catching the pest and maturely releasing it into the wild. Er, the main street adjacent inner city, at least.

Oh great, so now he was indebted ot this woman for saving him from the cat on top of already owing her forever for nearly killing her with food.

Suddenly calmed from his powder keg burst, he stood up, clearing his throat silently and brushing invisible dust from his shoulder. Who just tried to kill a small cat in a crowd? Certainly not this guy!

Lily gave a small laugh and shook her head, "I'm not a ..." she started but Zia's words made her jaw drop. Really she was use to her friend saying some not too appropriate things, but she hadn't expected it in that moment. She felt a bit grated by the statement and rather embarrassed. Her cheeks were flaming more so than they had been.

"Zia," she started giving her friend a really irritated glare, but she stopped mid sentence at he mention of Zia's shirt and at the guy coming to the table making it a bit known what happened to Zia's shirt. Lily glared at him too for his interruption because yes she was still irritated. Than she was off and Lily sat back in her chair with a bit of a huff. She was sulking. She didn't really want lunch anymore, or pie.

She started fishing through her purse, pulled out a 50 and putting it on the table, before looking to Chris and giving him a big tight squeeze. "I'm sorry. You can have my meal if you like. I'm not really hungry anymore. I think I'm just going to go. Uh I'll call you later this evening okay."

She ducked under the table, not even asking Chris to move and popped up beside Trevor. "It was nice meeting you Orah. Maybe we can meet up for lunch some other time."

She turned to Trevor, grabbing his hand and smiling, "Sorry about that. I don't know what ... but let's just go okay." She smiled and heading to the door Trevor's hand held tightly and fully expecting him to follow.

Trevor made a face as he was insulted and frowned lightly, he wasn't too hungry himself any more then again he never was he only came by to say hi to Lily but that didn't go very well. He blinked as Lily disappeared under the table for a few seconds and popped up beside him suddenly and took his hand. He nodded tentatively and followed. He still bothered him that Zia was so mean to him. He was not use to that kind of treatment. He was pretty sure he hadn't done anything wrong it bothered him.

Chris barely managed to withhold an amused snort at Zia's comment, and immediately reprimanded her with a disapproving look and faux-irritated "Zee..."

That was just her way, and he couldn't help but catch how she'd mimicked his "aren't you a social butterfly" comment. In all honesty, Chris wasn't entirely sure what to think of the guy, but knew better than to jump to conclusions, despite how he thought the comment had been condescending in a way. And if not to Lily, then to himself, and probably Zia if her response was any indication.

But before he could find the reason for her shirt being inside out, or to see what this guy Trevor had to say in response, hoping that things would work itself out over a slice of pie and maybe getting to know one another... the same guy he'd seen with Zia when they'd first walked in came up to her. His eyes narrowed suspiciously, but before he could catch what was going on, Zia was up and gone.

Chris was left sputtering in shock and -- No! It wasn't really shock! Zia did this all the damn time and it was really quite annoying. She would have her little speech or temper tantrum or throw around insults, and then she would prance off or storm out or what have you, leaving no room for retaliation and just bitter feelings.

Granted, she wasn't Zirconia at the moment, so Chris wondered if the storming off had always been what she did, or if it had been adopted in the past few years.

Not only that, but then Lily decided she was going to bail! And then take the Trevor guy with her, leaving Chris to gawk in their direction, his hands raised as if to say "What the hell, guys??" Lily should know how Zia was... but she seemed overly upset by it. Drawing in a deep breath and trying to calm himself down, he glanced over the table to Orah. "If you don't mind, I'd like to stay and keep you company." It was the least he could do, and she seemed like a nice girl.

The rapid exchange, the sudden tension... and Lily's sudden departure left Orah feel a little lost and confused, and very much an outsider.

Well, that was strange...

She smiled shyly at Chris when he finally turned his attention to her, lifting her shoulders in a shrug.

"Its okay, really. I'm glad to have the company, but please don't feel like you have to. I should probably get my food to go too, its getting late." She shrugged as she tucked a foot up under her, relaxing in the booth now that there was not nearly so many people crowding it. The large group had shrunk as fast as it had grown, but oh well. "They're so busy in here, I'm not surprised its taking a while."

"Then everything's good!" Lydia said cheerily, though really, something was still kind of off. "You know, if you ever want to do something like this but don't want to do it alone, you can always call me, right?" Sometimes they were both so busy with their lives- and Lydia with her secret one- to meet up as often as they liked. But if they didn't try to make the time, they'd end up back where they'd been a couple of years ago. Which meant she had to be better about making time as well.

The server came quickly, setting down a slice of delicious looking pie. "Oh my," Lydia gushed, leaning in to smell it. "Um... could you please come back in a minute or two? I only just arrived, and have not yet decided what I would like." Or, more realistically, she hadn't yet found and memorized the required digits of pi.

Once the server had moved on, she scooted herself closer to Yvette. "Could you say that again? And more slowly? I think I can memorize it, but I need to practice a little first, or I'll just start saying random numbers." Because wasn't that all that pi was anyway?

Yvette tried to be good. She really was trying. She had her pie sitting there, and she was using every ounce of willpower to not dig into it that very moment. The least she could do was wait until her cousin had something to eat as well before starting up.

"...w-well... this was a spur of the moment thing in all honesty... i-it's not like I don't want to hang out, but Ididn'treallythinkofitatthetime..."

She scratched her nose, and soon enough found her little cousin quite close. "oh... um... okay... it is. Three. Point. One. Four. One. Five. Nine." She scratched her nose again before taking another glance at her pie as it taunted her.

...but... pie...

It was just sitting there, waiting for her. And she couldn't go for it yet. Not yet.

The world rather suddenly got less spacious and quite a bit dark. It was only natural for ********* to squirm as she was rather suddenly in a cramped dark space. However, all her squirming did not get her anything. Once the world returned to normal, she was outside, being chastised by a dark-skinned woman with short hair (Ms. Walter). If she was in a safe environment, she might have considered debating the words which the woman offered the cat. However, it was not the time or place, since ********* was essentially playing the mute today.

She could have run off, but Ridley was still in the eatery. Which meant there was still a chance for her to salvage the rest of her pie and the sandwich. So the manx simply walked up to the door, stood up on her hind legs and pressed her forepaws upon the door and mewled out loudly.

Ridley, Ridley, bring me my food please!!

Lydia shook her head, realizing that she'd sounded accusatory. "No, I understand! I'm just saying you don't have to go to things like this alone if you don't want to, that's all. Sometimes things just happen. And sometimes you want alone time." There were times that Lydia went to Maize Maizier to be alone and not be bothered by anyone other than the waitstaff. Then again, she used every excuse in the book if it meant eating at Maize Maizier.

As Yvette spoke, Lydia parroted as best she could. "Three. Point. One. Four. One... nine five? No, that's not right." Tapping an icon on her phone, she opened the notepad app and handed it to Yvette. "Could you write it down for me? Then I can practice while you eat." Because it was pretty impossible not to notice the longing glances Yvette was sharing with her slice of pie.

Noah scrambling in and across her lap to grab a cat while what she assumed was at least half the cafe watched was highly embarrassing and not on the list of things she wanted to repeat. Noah didn't grab the cat, at all, rather woman from a table not to far away and Phina didn't know whether to be irritated or grateful to the woman.

Noah tumbled onto the floor narrowly missing the cats half demolished food, but calm at last causing Phina to give him an exasperated look. "Really not how I pictured my lunch," she muttered before looking to Eliza, the little waittress who now looked rather worried. Phina could imagine why, seeing as the girl served the cat, but she doubted Noah realized that.

"Uh, Eliza, right? Could you get me a box for my food," she said before pointing to ********* food, "and a box for that too please."

Eliza ran off with a nod quickly grabbing two boxes before running off quickly to grab food that needed to go out to other tables.

Phina stood and went over to Noah shaking her head lightly at the purple haired man. She put a hand on his shoulder and leaned in a bit, voice dropping down to a whisper, "seems like you could use some stress relief," she winked, "come by later and I'll give you a massage."

She smiled, then boxed her food and *********, taking her own box and handing over the other to Ridley, "you'll see her again before I do I recon."

With that she left, after a quick, "see you later Noah."

Eliza had grabbed up the meals for the table for Orah and Lily and hurried them over to table to give the girls the food, but instead simply looked extremely bewildered, for a second, at the lack of the red headed girl and the addition to the boy (Chris).

"Here's you're food," she said handing Orah her plate, "and this is for the other girl, when she comes back. Um where is she anyway?"
