Katharine
 Katharine smiled as she rode her horse up then over the mountain. She sighed as she got off to ship any other things she didn't need to save for a request or a dish she wanted to make. She patted Jet's side before walking him home to calm him down from the running he did. Katharine smiled as her animals greeted her. She lead them back in to their coop and barn before going to bed.

Derek Ballard Derek put the two tiny chicks in the chicken coop and closed it before picking up Mimi who had followed him outside. "You shouldn't be out here Mimi. There are big mean dogs that would love to eat a little kitty like you." he said as he rubbed the silver tabby's head gently. Once inside he placed Mimi down on the floor in his room and he got himself ready for the night. When he lay down in bed, Mimi walked over to the closet and curled up in her nestbox, preparing for the long night ahead of her. Derek had thought that the kittens were due in a few days; however, he sure was going to get a surprise in the morning when there were three tiny, mewling kittens squirming by Mimi's belly.{{ooc:}}

Katharine
 Katharine hummed to herself as she was standing in a pond early the next more. She was handfishing for a couple new requests and to get some to Derek. Jet snorted at his rider's blush. "Shut it, Jet." She said blushing as she pick up a wiggling fish. She placed it with the many in her basket before getting out. The young farmer then forged around for any items that she could ship.

Derek Ballard Derek rolled out of bed at the break of dawn and he went to wash up before heading out to water his plants. Although, something seemed off about that morning; there was no Mimi to greet him in the kitchen when he went to get breakfast. He assumed that she was still resting, yet he feared that the pregnant she-cat had somehow gotten out of the house during the night. Trying not to panic, Derek made his way to the front door and he looked out the window, thinking that if Mimi would have gotten out that she'd be meowing on the porch, yet she wasn't there. Thinking of all the places that the silver cat would be he suddenly thought of the closet. "Oh how silly of me... I should have thought to check there first." he said, putting his hand over his face and heading to his room.
Once he reached his room and looked into the closet his eyes grew wide as he looked in the nest box and saw three tiny kittens suckling at Mimi's belly. "Well I'll be..." he said as he knelt down next to the box. He rubbed the she-cat, though did not even attempt to touch the three kittens. "You up and had these little guys while I was sleeping didn't you?" he said smiling at the mother cat, getting a contented mew in reply. "They're all precious little things. I bet they'll all be sweet little angels just like you when they're older." Derek said as he got up and grabbed some food and water to put out for Mimi. After doing that Derek ran out of the house, watered his plants quickly before heading to the mountain and praying that Katharine was out and that he could tell her about the kittens that were born during the night.{{ooc:}}

Katharine
 Katharine rode Jet up on top of the mountain. She stopped Jet at the top. The young farmer walked to the platform over looking the two towns. She smiled loving the view and the wind going through her hair.

Derek Ballard Running full speed up the mountain, Derek reached the top in about ten minutes and when he got there he had to take a breather before he could go any further. He'd not even noticed that Katharine was there at the platform, though as he looked up he noticed a familiar black stallion. "Hey Jet," he said as he walked to the horse and patted him on the neck, something that he'd never have done before meeting Katharine. He then turned to the platform, assuming that's where Katharine would be. "Hey Katharine, you're not going to believe what I found this morning." he said, still huffing due to running so fast up the mountain.{{ooc:}}

 Katharine turned and smiled at Derek. "Really? What did you find?" She asked walking over to him. She giggled at his breathless state before taking out a water canteen for him to drink. "Here dehydrate." She said.

Derek Ballard Derek huffed, trying to catch his breath as he heard Katharine speaking. "I-- I thought Mimi had run away or something terrible had happened, though she had her kittens in my bedroom closet last night." he said, his voice a bit puffy as he spoke, yet it held excitement. "I didn't think that she was so close to having them, but it shows what all I know about animals that are expecting." he added, chuckling, embarrassed; all while taking the canteen and getting a bit of water to wet his mouth.{{ooc:}}

 Katharine smiled before saying, "That's great. But It's ok that you didn't know. She probably liked surprising you." She teased before taking the canteen and putting it back in her racksack. She walked over to Jet and looked through her fish bag, "I got some fish for you and her. I have to get back soon. I am expecting a new cow." She said. Katharine looked back, "Maybe you can visit my farm next time." She said.

Derek Ballard Derek handed the canteen to Katharine, waiting for a reply. Once he got an answer he rubbed the back of his neck saying, "Yeah, you're probably right. She's always surprising me so I shouldn't have thought too much different about this." He then heard it be said that Katharine was expecting a new cow and Derek looked up, tilting his head. "You're expecting a cow...?" he said with confusion peppering his voice, though he was clearly joking, then added, "Would I be able to see the calf once it's born? I haven't seen a cow since before I had to get rid of mine, due to not having the know how to care for her right." He really did want to see a calf because he thought that calves were so cute; especially when they had milk all over the muzzles after getting a drink from their mothers.{{ooc:}}

 Katharine smiled before saying, "Yeah my first cow, Cream. Is close to giving birth and this morning looked like she was going to give birth. But the animal seller in my town says tomorrow morning it will happen. But I am worried she is wrong." She said. The female farmer though about it before saying, "I think you can come over once it's born. I do have three cows and the calf will be number four. And I am going to buy two dogs, one for herding my cows and one for my sheep." The farmer said excited.

Derek Ballard Derek listened to Katharine without interrupting her the whole time she spoke. "That sounds like you may want to get back to your farm then. I don't think that you would want to be out here if that little calf decides it wants to enter the world today." he said and then remembered something that had completley slipped his mind because he was panicking about Mimi; the chicks. "Oh no... I have to get back to my farm... I forgot to feed the peeps... I swear this'll not happen again. I'll talk to you later today or tomorrw." he said in a half guiltly, half panicked tone, as he turned around and started running back down the mountain, feeling like a completely dunderhead for forgetting to feed the chicks.{{ooc:}}

Katharine
 The farmer girl shouted after him, "You better not forget to feed those two chicks! I'll get Jet on you!" She shouted half serious half teasing. Jet let out a snort in agreement. Katharine turned and swung on. Her horse galloped down to her side. The farmer girl smiled as she got back to her farm. Quickly, she checked her cow, Cream. Cream mooed quietly happy to see her farmer before she grunted. Katharine gasped before she knew her cow had waited for her to give birth. Quickly, the girl made a phone call to town and got help. Soon Katharine was helping Cream clean her new calf. "And your name will be Mocha." She said for the chocolate coloring of the calf's coat.

Derek Ballard Derek ran clear down the mountain in record time and he could have proved it if he'd had a stopwatch. He saw a few people waving to him and he waved back at them, but he ran right passed them without even stopping to chat for a bit. As he got back to his farm he went right into the combined chicken coop and barn and he grabbed some of the chicken feed and scattered some directly on the floor of the barn for the chicks to eat right away and then he put the rest in the feeder box. "I am so sorry you two. I promise that you'll get your food right on time tomorrow..." he said to the two peeps that were happily pecking away at their breakfast, though it was clear that they weren't happy about it being late.{{ooc:Sorry I made you wait for a reply on this. I got caught up in some fast moving literate RP's and I was having a heck of a time keeping up with them... I know that's a lame excuse and hopefully I'll be able to keep up with all my RP's and that you'll forgive me for making you wait...}}

 Katharine lead Mocha around on a rope letting the young calf know who was the farmer. She had Cream walk beside her to help with her calf. The farmer let the calf off the rope watching as it walked to it's mother's side. Katharine smiled before looking over the garden she had. She watered and harvested before calling it a day. ((It's ok))
