Punk sighed. "I can't say I'm surprised. If they were kidnapped as foals, they likely consider the south their home and have no desire to come north. Well, unless Niniane decides to follow Sauron north when he searches for his mother. Bruin and Nascien may be their family, but their still foreign."

Paimon nodded. "I figured that might happen, but neither my brother nor I were able to go South to look for them. Not with the two boys being so young and Jara being devestated from the loss..." he sighed and cuddled Ca, wondering if they ever had children, if they would go through the same thing as his brother. Over my dead body...

"... Jara?" Punk frowned, thinking. "... Does she have a sister named Jaromila?" he inquired.
Ca lifted her head and blinked curiously at her father before looking up at Paimon. Something was bothering him. She didn't know what, but something was definitely bothering him. She lightly nudged him, nipping at his mane.

Paimon nodded. "Yes. Born of Michiko.. well her and Arachnae were raised by Michiko and their father. They have young sisters named Jaromila, Asti, and Sugar. My brother and I became acquainted with Arachnae and Jara at the same time." he gave a small blush, thankful that his coat would hide it. Turning back to Ca, he smiled and nipped back at her. "Why do you ask?"

Punk smiled. "I never met her, but I've heard about Jaromila from someone I once met. Have you ever met a stallion named Haides?"
Ca blinked. Ah. So that was the connection. Her father mentioned the mysterious black stallion on occasion. She smiled back at Paimon, feeling a little less worried. Well, they could talk later. It would mostly be him talking, but that wasn't the point.

Paimon rolled the name around in his head before giving a quick nod. "Never met him but he is lifemated to Jaromila, correct?" He asked softly, cuddling into Ca. He was starting to feel a little guilty about having stopped to talk to Arachnae instead of just going to see Sebastian with his lifemate.

A grin spread across Punk's maw. "So it did happen. I was hoping that he'd pull it off. I'll have to go visit him sometime and give my congratulations."
Ca happily cuddled into her mate, but the closer they became, the more insistent her uneasy feelings became. Finally she looked up at him. "Paimon?"

Paimon swallowed at the sound of his name from Ca and turned to look at her, hoping she would say anything but ask that one thing, especially with her father around, but perhaps it couldn't be avoided. "Yes, my love?" He asked

Ca could see the dread in his face, and wordlessly looked towards her father. He nodded and got to his feet, escorting Liron down the hill so that the couple could have some privacy. Then the mare looked up at her mate again. "Paimon... what's wrong?" Something was bothering him. If she could help...

Paimon sighed and watched as Punk and Liron went down the hill before turning back to Ca. "Nothing.. well... I mean... not really anything just... I" he sighed, unsure of exactly how to say this. "Just, I haven't been able to tell you about Arachnae...and its kinda bothering me, I suppose...." He watched her carefully.

Paimon sighed and lightly nudged her. "First off, there is nothing, absolutely nothing that I feel for her anymore. You took every ounce of my heart. I want you to understand that, okay?" He gave her a small nuzzled. "She and I dated for awhile... and I had asked her to lifemate me, several... well almost a year ago now. She said no, obviously, and I was heartbroken until I Chose Sebastian. I still cared about her, until I met you."

Ca smiled at him. "That's why... she wanted to talk," she concluded. She nuzzled Paimon affectionately. "I understand." She wasn't going to leave him. The mare loved him far too much to hurt him that way.

Ca blushed, smiling shyly. "I am... happy to be mated to someone... worth speaking to," she replied, eyes sparkling. Paimon was the first one whom she felt the irrepressible urge to speak to. Yes, she sometimes wished to speak to her family, but they'd all but read her mind before she even attempted communication. With Paimon, it was a little different. He understood enough that she didn't have to talk, but being around him made her want to talk.
