A light snort and Lex shook his head. "No, I'll shower and change as quick as I can. Cover for me?" He joked, picking up the half drunk bottle of wine. He'd probably finish it off later - later being once his work was over and after Regal was done screaming at him. Actually...he'd probably drink it while Regal was yelling at him.
Now, what did he do? Lean down and kiss her? Maybe, just maybe. That might not be too appreciated, seeing as the woman was so shy and cautionary about moving forward. No, a kiss wouldn't do too well at the moment. Perhaps a bit of game spitting? Would she even want to make it to his bedroom right now? Again, probably not. Honestly, how did he even handle strong willed women who weren't slightly promiscuous (Madeline)?
A deep sigh was repressed as he took hold of Ami's hand again and brought it to his lips, feeling like a massive cheeseball. Oh well, it was happening.
"See you in the labs, dear."

Ami smiled and nodded quickly. Of course she'd cover. She knew the importance of a well-kept appearance, and couldn't blame Lex for wanting to shower after dunking himself in the water that contained who-knew-what.
Lips were pressed to her hand and a light, surprised blush crossed her face. How ... well, romantic. It was nice to see someone with a bit of class, instead of Dakota endlessly trying to make out with girls.
"Mmm, yes. See you." Her hand went to her mouth as they split. Happiness, confusion.
What had she done?
