((Rolling Artemis' judging scores and adding commentary once all the couples have rolled. Couples are numbered and correspond to the order of the dice.))
Artemis sat at the judges table, shuffling her hooves and shifting uncomfortably in the seat. What was she doing here, really? Judging dancing? Really? If this were a hunting or archery competition, maybe, but dancing? Ugh...
She rolled her head, then her shoulders. Just one more reason to have words with Venus after this was over. For now, she'd have to suffer through this nonsense like the rest, hopefully making the most of it. Who knew, maybe someone here actually knew how to dance well enough to be entertaining. Or maybe they'd be bad enough to be entertaining for other reasons.
---
The first of the dancers were up, and Artemis looked at the pair as they took to the dance floor. Ah yes, she'd heard about this one... Glancing to her left, she could practically feel the anxiety and anger, fear and frustration, radiating off the woman. She'd heard a bit of the business that had gone on, but she didn't have all the details. Even so, she couldn't help but think that there was a lot of drama and overreaction to it all. A woman didn't deserve that sort of stress and strain. Barely even watching the dancers, she held up a 1 for Eros and Diona, while attempting to offer what would sound like unbiased commentary. "Hmm, sorry, but I'm not sure this is the dance for you. Maybe with a little more time, but it felt a little too rushed and stilted to me to be considered a good waltz."
---
Ah, Anteros and a lovely young blue angel. Artemis smiled, watching the pair as they hit the dance floor. Not a bad performance, but she saw room for improvement. "Wonderful, thank you, you two. You've still got a ways to go, but we are just getting started. Like baby birds learning to fly, you've just got to stretch your wings and build up your strength. I'm sure you'll pick up your groove as the contest continues." She held up a 5 for Anteros and Yukiko.
---
She paused to watch a rather brightly colored pair dance by the judges table, and had to stifle a grin at the antics of the God of Lust. Normally, she wouldn't be so amused by the boy, but...the woman he was dancing with seemed to be enjoying herself as well, and the two moved rather gracefully together for having just met. Alright, that deserved a little credit. "Keep moving, boy," she quipped as Himeros passed, though she smirked as she said it, holding up a score of 9 for Himeros and Lemon Hearts. "Nice structure. You've got the basics, while managing to look relaxed and have fun with it, even throwing in a little spin there. Keep up the good work," she nodded graciously.
---
Oh my, Pothos, the melancholy one. Well, he may have seemed reluctant at first, especially in comparison with his partner, but as the music started and the two began to dance, Artemis was surprised by how the two seemed to synchronize and glide across the floor so gracefully. She'd never have imagined that Pothos of all the Erotes would have had that in him. She held up an 8 for Pothos and Prisma. "Very lovely, you two! You're a pleasure to watch and--" she paused, seemingly interrupted by some sort of disturbance on the floor. Another young woman had appeared, looking much like the Erote, and now there was some furious discussion going on. Artemis frowned, clearing her throat. "Ahem, as I was saying...if you'd like to wrap up your business, I'll be eagerly waiting to see your next dance."
---
Not great, but not terrible, she decided, watching the two. Again, she wondered if some had more issues with these hooves than she did, but...eh, maybe it wasn't the hooves that were the issue, given earlier performances. "Not bad. Keep at it, pay attention to one another, and feel the music," she offered, holding up a 6 for Dylo and Iris Topaz.
---
It was a bit odd, knowing the truth, to watch the two 'women' dancing together. Still, the two made quite the graceful pairing. "Very nice," she offered with a nod. "It's a pleasure to watch you two. You both move with such an elegant air. I look forward to watching your next dance," she finished, holding up a 9 for Iordanes and Serendipity.
---
Hmm...another one of these odd hooved Pae. As if she was one to speak, but, they didn't exactly look like the Faun she was familiar with, though it was the closest relation she could place. Hmm...perhaps these hooves were more clumsy as well, given what she was watching. "Err...very...nice," she offered, glancing aside. "It could use a little work; try to pay more attention to each other, try to synchronize a bit. Perhaps that will help." She held up a 6 for Hymnaios and Trixie. They were trying.
---
Hmm...what a pretty pair those two made. She hadn't got much of a feel for their personalities yet through the dance, but...what she had seen was graceful and light, as if the two danced on air. "Beautiful. Now, try adding a little flavor of your own to the dance; I'd like to see what you two can do!" Artemis smiled, holding up a 8 for Thalia and Seiya.
---
Okay, this was both odd, and somewhat painful to watch. And a little insulting. What in the wide, green world was this male trying to do? Was he making a mockery of women everywhere, dressing like that? Did he think this was funny? "I'm not sure if this is some joke on your part, boy, but I'm not laughing." Artemis held up a 2 for Kleta and Pelagios. "It was like watching a wildebeast try to waltz with a swan. Sorry, but just calling it how I see it," she quipped with a dismissive wave of her hand.
---
Oh my, speaking of the Spartan Graces... Artemis sighed, feeling a momentary twinge of pity for the poor male partnered with Phaenna. "Honey, maybe you should relax a bit as well. This is a dancing competition, not a military exercise. Take it down a notch, hmm? And try to have a little fun with it," she quipped with a smirk, knowing exactly who she was talking to as she held up a 2 for Phaenna and Terje.
---
What...exactly...did she just watch? Despite her efforts to hide it, Artemis must have been wearing a strangely puzzled look on her face. She still wasn't sure what she'd just seen, and now she had to score it? Still...perhaps the pair knew more about what they were doing than it appeared. They didn't seem to be confused; they seemed to be enjoying themselves, Aglaia's sudden, shocking costume change aside. "Err, very...interesting interpretation, though I'm not exactly sure that counted as a waltz," she said, not honestly sure what else to say about that 'dance,' if it could be called that. She just held up a 6 for Aglaia and Ahi, then turned her attention to the last set of dancers.
---
Something was...odd here. Had Euphrosyne always had purple eyes? Artemis could have sworn they were blue before...or was it green? Either way, something felt off. She watched the last pairing for a bit, the way the Grace pulled the poor Angel out onto the floor. Normally she'd expect that from the Spartan Graces, but not the other three. Hmm, perhaps Euphrosyne was just having an off day. "Relax a bit, dear," she commented, echoing the sentiments shared by Psyche. "Relax and feel the music. Blizz? Don't let her just pull you around the dance floor, please. Not exactly how the dance is supposed to be done. Still, points for effort," she added, holding up a 6 for Euphrosyne and Blizz.

Tonantzin is delighted to have been invited to her cousin's party! It's the first time she'd been out and about, among the mortals, although she does have such fun watching them from her celestial home. She's a bit nervous about judging this dancing contest. She doesn't know the first thing about dancing! Perhaps she should have mentioned that when Venus invited her, but she didn't want to be uninvited. Oh well! She'd do her best, Tonantzin decides, and try to give honest, earnest scores and feedback to all the contestants! She's sure all of them will be just stellar.
First up were Eros and Diona. I'll have to find out where she got those boots, muses Tonantzin. I bet they'd look great in blue. After watching Diona's boots with a somewhat jealous eye, she realizes when they take a bow that she hadn't really been paying attention to their dance. Whoops. She holds up a 5 and nods with an enthusiastic smile. "Well done! I look forward to seeing what you prepare tomorrow!"
Whew. Better pay more attention this time. For this round, she really watches Anteros and Yukiko. They glide across the floor together, perfectly matched. It was as if they were made for each other. There's a sadness in Anteros' dance, but also determination. It moves her heart, almost to tears. She holds up a 9 as they finish. "Truly, a work of art," she says, her mother's heart bursting with pride.
Convinced that nothing could top that performance, she watches as Himeros and Lemon Hearts begin their dance. Himeros clearly oozes sex appeal, and though it makes her blush and fan herself a little, it seems cheap and overdone compared with the emotive performance from the last round. She holds up a 2. "There's more to dancing that mere sexuality," she says, her voice gently chiding. "I'm sure you'll do better tomorrow."
Next up are Pothos and Prisma. She watches them glide across the dance floor, an air of longing and sadness infused into their dance, despite Prisma's bright coloring. It affects her the same way that Anteros' and Yukiko's dance had, making her heart ache for the couple. She claps vigorously at the end, holding up an 8. "A beautiful dance!" she exclaims. "Don't change a thing!"
Tonantzin watches Pothos and Prisma exit the dance floor and now Dylo and Iris Topaz take their places. Their movements are hollow, their posture stiff and formal. She stifles a yawn for the whole long waltz. She looks at the judges on either side of her, Venus and Artemis, who seem to be enjoying it a bit more than she is. Perhaps they saw something she didn't. Perhaps she had better taste in dance than they did. At the end, she holds up a 1 and shrugs apologetically. "I was bored," she confesses. "Try to spice it up a bit tomorrow."
She sits up a little straighter as the next couple takes the floor. Iordanes and Serendipity are certainly an intriguing pair. She remembers that Iordanes had had that run-in with a nymph all those years ago, which would explain his present form. She wonders how he'd adjusted to such a significant change. Her eyes widen as they begin to dance. Evidently he'd adjusted well. The two of them dance like they were made for each other. Their skin blended together in a lovely whirl of purple, brown and gold. Perhaps his new form had granted him an advantage; Iordanes certainly knew how to handle a woman! She holds up a 9 for them when they finish and gives them a hearty smile. "Beautifully done, both of you. Such chemistry!"
Hymnaios and Trixie. What a pair. Tonantzin arches an eyebrow and looks around at the other judges. Should he even be dancing with a woman? He looks a little...not into women. She can tell these things. She's a mother goddess. Their dancing was solid, and their enthusiasm was appreciated, but she just can't get over their obvious lack of chemistry together. Hymnaios held her so tenderly, like she were made of glass. She holds up a somewhat apologetic 4 when they finish. "Your dance was fine, but it lacked a certain....spark," she comments. "See if you can't incorporate that for tomorrow."
As Thalia and Seiya take the floor, Tonantzin immediately perks up. Seiya is a gorgeous creature, befitting the arm of a goddess. She's excited to see what the pretty blue pair creates together. As the dance goes on, however, she gets increasing disappointed. "Such potential!" she exclaims when they finish, holding up a 2. "Two such beautiful Pae and you had even less chemistry than....er, than someone without much chemistry...." she trails off. She doesn't want to name names, of course. >.>
"What in the name of...?" she murmurs to herself as the next couple take the stage. Kleta is stunning, but her partner Pelagios appeared to be....cross-dressing? With a skeptical face, she watches them begin dancing, fully expecting the fruit-clad male to make a mockery of the dance. She's pleasantly surprised, however, when they move with a fluidity she would have sorely appreciated in the previous couple. "You surprised me!" she exclaims happily, holding up an 8. "I'm excited to see what tomorrow brings!"
Tonantzin can't help but feel sorry for poor Terje. The sweet, shy-looking male was paired with Phaenna, the no-nonsense Spartan grace. Even now, as he bowed slightly and she snapped at him to keep his eyes on her face, she can't help but wince. The poor dear didn't deserve any of that! Their dance fares no better. Phaenna insists on leading, making both of them look very foolish. By the time it's over, Tonantzin just wants to fold poor Terje into her mantle and hug away the pain. "You had no right speaking to him that way!" she says to Phaenna when they're through. "He'd done nothing wrong!" She wouldn't put him through that again. She holds up a 1.
Emotionally drained after the last dance, Tonantzin leans her elbow on the table to support her chin. The next pair were Aglaia and Ahi, whose unconventional dance prompted her to give an unconventional score: she picks up the card that's on top of her stack and shows it, completely randomly. It's a 7. "Nicely done," she quips, letting the card fall down again. She sincerely hopes this won't take as long tomorrow.
Last are Euphrosyne and Blizz. Euphrosyne seems a bit hollow and strange, but perhaps it's first-day jitters. The dance is so boring, however, that Tonantzin completely falls asleep in the middle of it! As they finish, she shifts, and the top card slips off the table and floats to the floor: a 7 again. So much for being a good judge.

Shicala He didn't even notice her changing, though almost chased after her when she turned to go get rid of the dress, well at least until she said she'd be right back. In response to her question he replied to her "Ahi getting treasure!". His tongue stuck out a moment in concentration but he changed his mind on that when he almost bit it in the bouncing of his dance.
Ahi's movements stayed the same for about a minute after she started to mimic him, and then he started to get bored and all of his movements changed, no pattern to them whatsoever. All upbeat movements but everything from his current dance to the macarena to even the chicken dance and others, in no order whatsoever. All the male was doing was moving around even at one point hooking an arm to hers and spinning around. It was a good thing she picked up on dancing easily, yes she didn't like doing it and yes she stuffed up along the way but more or less she did end up, to a certain extent, still in time with him, watching just for a little each time, if there was one thing she should be thankful to her mother about it was the fact that her children were made to dance...well, her daughters were mostly, the boys just had to get in trouble then they were made to dance but the girls, whenever her mother wanted, her daughters would dance. "Ahh yes, after this I will need to take you back to my place to get it if that is alright" she said as she was glad she wasn't wearing any shoes tonight, her feet would of hated her for this if she had though she was thinking of a sort of structure to this dance, see if she could get the male to dance in a more structured pattern then just as random as he was.

Kleta looked at her partner, Pelagious, "Well, that wasn't completely horrible," some of the judges did not like their routine, which considering their role reversal made sense, Kleta wasn't exactly fond of it either. However, some of the judges had at least been entertained by their show. The green goddess was sad that her sister was already out of the competition, she'd have to stay in and represent the Spartan graces. Beyond that Kleta really wanted to win, she wanted the mortals to see her in all her fame and glory, to cheer for her, and call on her for her blessings. Kleta disappeared for a moment in fantasies of the cheering masses, and then she broke out of it to focus on the task at hand.
The waltz had been easy, all she had to do was lead her partner around, and do a twirl or a dip every once in a while. With the cha cha... there was a lot more individual work, not to mention flirting, her cousins would surely be better at a dance like this. "Ok... Pelagious... for this next dance, you need to move your hips a lot, like so..." she swayed her hips, and then placed her hands on his hips and moved them like they were supposed to go. It looked a bit awkward to see such a serious goddess teaching such a flirtatious dance. "And well..." This was going to be a disaster. "I won't be able to lead you Pelagious, you can do what I do though and it will look good."

Diona was devastated after the first night, in the bottom 3! They were going to have to step up their game if they were going to stay in the competition. It wasn't even about 'winning' for Diona, she just wanted to stay in as long as possible and keep having a good time. Or maybe she just wanted to start having a good time. "Alright, the cha cha, maybe we'll do better for this one," she tried to feel optimistic, thinking about the judges comments from the night before. It had felt like she was being dragged around by Eros, but it was the Waltz. She hoped for the cha cha it would be a little bit less that way. "Time to shake our hips!" she smiled as she quickly popped her hips from side to side in an attempt to cheer up the erote, he sure seemed a bit down at times.

Upon hearing the results, Himeros beamed at his partner standing by his side. Arm around her waist, he chuckled and squeezed her lightly, winking. "See that? They love us! Now, how about we give them another show?"
Cha-Cha was up next, hmm? Well, this would be a nice change of pace. The slow, gliding waltz was nice to get to know one's partner, but the upbeat cha-cha, well, that was more for having fun! As their turn came, Himeros shot Lemon Hearts a smouldering look and faux growled, "Let's show 'em how it's done, babe." Taking her by the hand, he led her onto the floor, leading with a dramatic spin.

"Hmm, seems the stars have seen fit for us to continue, Miss," Seiya mused aloud upon hearing the scores. He turned towards the Grace and bowed. "Well then, would you grant me another dance, milady?" Offering her his hand, he led Thalia onto the floor when it was their turn again. The upbeat cha-cha wasn't one that he was as familiar with, but Seiya trusted that the stars would guide his feet, and in turn, he could guide his partner.

"I...I don't..." Pothos stammered, completely taken by surprise by the turn of events. He didn't know what to say, honestly. He thought Himeros had been kidding! Of all the things he'd been told that he'd done that night...he swore he never would have...not...it just couldn't be. It wasn't him.
And yet, here stood proof, looking far too much like him for him to be able to deny it. He'd had no idea...he thought...it was all a terrible joke, something for Himeros to rib him about, only. He'd never thought there might be any truth to it.
Himeros he could believe, but this sort of thing happening to him? No.
"Look, I'm sorry...I didn't know..." he really had no idea what to say to the girl. This wasn't exactly the best time. Whatever the 'best time' was to deal with something like this, it wasn't in the middle of a dance competition. He could hear their scores being read; surprisingly, they were winning? What? Though, the judges seemed to be growing a bit irritated by the disturbance on the dance floor.
"Can we talk about this later, maybe?" he questioned, glancing back and forth anxiously between the judges, his dance partner, and the girl that was apparently his daughter. It was their turn to dance again, and honestly, he welcomed the chance to get away and have a moment to try to collect his thoughts. Not that any of them had anything to do with dancing at this point.

Euphrosyne listened attentively to the results from the last round. Satisfactory, yes, but they could do better. Focusing on the feedback from most of the judges, she seemed to make a conscious effort to 'relax', her stiff posture slumping, her expression softening to something more neutral.
"Next, we cha-cha," she commented evenly, holding out her hand to Blizz. It was his duty to escort her to the floor to dance, afterall. She looked the blue and white angel up and down, then nodded to signal that she was ready for their turn.

Much to his surprise, he scored higher than he thought they would. Not that he had any doubts in his partner, because the lovely and beautiful Yukiko could likely waltz into first place solo. "You are a beautiful dancer," he whispered to her after they received their first round scores.
The next dance, something saucy, made Anteros very nervous. He wasn't about the sexy stuff, he left that to his brothers, he was more about the romantic and lasting things. He tried to visualize the cha-cha, being mostly unfamiliar with doing it, but having watched it a few times. He blushed a little at the thought of watching Yukiko's hips.
When it was their turn again, he held out his hand to lead Yukiko back to the dance floor. A light blush spread on his cheeks as he started the dance by spinning her around which lead into the checkered steps of the Cha-cha. His focus was completely on doing this right, because he didn't want to let his partner down for this.
The eye-contact was the hardest part because it'd distract him into thinking other things aside from dancing.

Yukiko was pleasantly surprised at their scores from the judges. She was convinced that Anteros had carried them easily through that round of dancing. At his whisper, she blushed and smiled. "Thank you," she whispered back, "You're not so bad yourself." She smiled winsomely at him.
She blinked and her eyes widened just a bit at the next dance that was called out. The cha-cha. She'd never danced the cha-cha before, but she knew that eye contact and hip movement were a big part of it. Her cheeks warmed and blushed again as she was lead to the floor. He spun her and she smiled wide, giggling just a little. As she was brought back to him, she brought her gaze up to meet his and let the music sway her. She let her hips move to the beat and her feet slid across the floor as she followed his lead.
She had imagined it would be a struggle for her to keep eye contact with the handsome Erote, but it wasn't at all and she smiled as the dance continued. She felt as if she could dance all night with him as her partner.
