S'kiro/Neptanth- Damage
HP 42/47 Agility 0

We weren't looking very well were we? Amusement mixed with pain in the dragons voice as they returned to flame more. It doesn't hurt, now. S'kiro knew that there would be numbweed waiting for them. It didn't look that bad on the flank and Neptanth was quick to take care of it. Well it serves us right, after telling Courath and Hers to keep an eye out better. He smiled, but it was a determined smile to not let that happen again.

Z'fer and Calanoth // Damage Post

Two Storm Riders dragons blinked between at the same time. The first, Calanoth, returned within moments, blinking down at his forearm where the stray strands had caught him. The second, leaving a gap in his formation. Z'fer's breath caught. ~ Calanoth?!~

~ Tuucith returns to the Weyr. His wing was punctured. They are alive. ~ Calanoth let the rest of the wing know, with orders to another reserve to fill the empty position.

Z'fer swore. At least it hadn't been his initial fear, but that meant the rider would be out for some time until the wing's membrane healed. ~ And Hekate?~ He'd intended not to think about her, not to worry, but that had gone right out the window rather quickly. Only now, as injuries and tired dragons began to disappear from the skies did he give in and ask. Calanoth wasn't speaking though.

Hekate of Silver Devith - Burn post

Perhaps a little more cautious this time though certainly burning with the need not to be out done by the likes of Adamanth Devith swooped for another clump of thread. While a slightly smaller one this time, the silver easily charred it to a crisp and made up for it's small size by easily avoiding another clump that would have struck them. A clump he planned to circle around and flame to bits moments later.

C'rci of Blue Bolth -Burn Post

The blue's nervousness finally got the better of him as Bolth wary of straying to far from the wing reached his head around to char a clump of thread. However he misjudged and only caught the barest edge of it.

C'rci of Blue Bolth -injury post

The remaining clump of thread that he had failed to burn though shifted in the gust of his wings blowing back straight at the blue. Only to catch C'rci about the shoulder as the young rider's lips parted in a scream of agony as the two flickered between. Emerging only afterwards Bolth's eyes whirling with panic as he bugled out his distress.

Mine! Mine! Oh Mine are you alright! We must return. We WILL return now! The blue all, but screamed in his rider's mind turning as if to between back to the Weyr when C'rci stopped him.

No. I am fine. We fight further. We'll not abandon our comrades. I am fine Bolth. I'm not going to leave you.
She thought with gritted teeth even as she fought against the pain.

J'nes and brown Hatteth - Burn post
Agility: +1
HP: 43/53

Doggedly J'nes and Hatteth flew on, duty carrying them forward despite the pain of Hatteth's fresh theadscores. Hatteth tried to fly more carefully to save both his own hide and his rider's worry, but Thread had other ideas. As he flamed some more strands, a few escaped is flame and headed right for him.

N'mol and Bronze Tyeth - Dawn Fliers Wingleader
HP: 81
Dmg Mod: -3
Thread Burned: 6+5=11 (Wingleader Bonus)
Scored: Yes
Current Thread - 85/250

Dragons were popping out with alarming regularity. N'mol briefly thought of the all-too-recently added wingriders and was glad for a moment that none had made it into his wing for him to worry about. That would change with Suunath's and the Crimson's Clutches, he hoped, as all wings would need more members. For now, though, it saved him some concerns.

He looked back at his wing as Tyeth guided them through yet more Thread, flame spurting from his mouth. It was during this bout that Tyeth had to make a last minute decision as a larger clump split into two. One was drifting straight at the dragon to his left, while the other was drifting at him but (with the right maneuver) could be mostly avoided, if not entirely missed.

He chose to protect his wing member, turning his flame on the bundle that could surely have damaged them into fleeing back to the Weyr, but felt a sting along his side in return.

N'mol and Bronze Tyeth - Dawn Fliers Wingleader
Dmg Mod: -3
HP: 81-5=76

Tyeth caught only a glancing blow and twisted away from the burn, popping between to kill any of the Thread that may have stuck to him and returning to the same place he had left from with little pause. N'mol checked his dragon's side as well, to be sure the dead Thread was flaking away, and then tightened his grip on the harness.

Instruct the first round of Greens to go back to the Weyr for firestone and to rest. We'll cycle them through the way we practiced.

Tyeth acknowledged him and made the announcement. Shortly after, the handful of Greens assigned to the first group winked out and the Dawn Fliers adjusted their positions to fill in the gaps.

J'nes and brown Hatteth - Damage post
Agility: +1
HP: 42/53

As soon as the silver tendril touched Hatteth's muzzle, he winked between. Before J'nes could even ask, he said, It was the barest touch, I hardly feel it. It may not even scar, if the healers are careful. Still, when he reappeared and turned his head for more firestone, J'nes could see the score that marked his dragon diagonally across the bridge of his nose.

Hekate of Silver Devith -Burn post

How's Courath doing Mine? Devith asked even as silver and rider circled round to char the thread that had nearly clipped them before to nothing, but ashy bits. Glancing around Hekate spotted her friend not to far from them.

She looks a bit tired, but doesn't appear to be hurt badly. You and I will need more firestone soon. We've been a bit zealous in our burning even if we've done a good chunk of damage.
Hekate mused checking her bags of firestone and weighing her options. Hopefully they'd be refueled soon. They certainly would need to be if the wings wanted them to keep burning at the rate they were.

O'thor and Silver Adamanth - Gale Stalkers Wingrider
HP: 51
Dmg Mod: -1
Thread Burned: 3
Scored: No
Current Thread - 73/250

How's your leg?

It is not comfortable, O'thor, but I will survive. I did not allow it to burrow too deeply before we went between.

O'thor could feel his Silver's pain, but since the dragon was so determined to work through it, he said nothing. If it got too bad, he would make the decision to have Adamanth bespeak Plexith so that they could return to Trine, if only briefly. This was their first Threadscore, and O'thor didn't know what a 'bad' Threadscore was. He didn't want to find out he had waited to long and somehow crippled his dragon by not forcing him to return to the Weyr.

Although both of them were trying to muscle through their thoughts and pain, Adamanth's flaming didn't catch much of the menace; only a few of the rogue, individual strands felt the burn of fire. However, O'thor noticed with a moment's hope that it seemed as if the Thread had begun to thin out. With luck, the end of this wave or Fall was approaching.

Tyeth received Brumath's message with a rumble closely followed with a jet of flame. Brumath says he is low on firestone. Others in the wing reiterate their need for stone as well.

N'mol nodded. Let them know the refill riders are on their way already and then contact the Weyr again to remind them most of the wing is low. You and I will be the last to be refilled; I want to be sure everyone has enough stone to stay in position.

Obviously. Tyeth returned his attention to his wing. Thank you, Brumath. We have alerted the Weyr to low firestone levels. Riders will be coming in shortly to refill your bags.

With that done, N'mol felt Tyeth turn his voice to the dragons at the Weyr, but ignored his Bronze's conversation in favor of keeping an extra sharp eye on the Threadfall around them, lest they be caught unaware again.

O'thor and Silver Adamanth - Gale Stalkers Wingrider
HP: 51
Dmg Mod: -1
Thread Burned: 12
Scored: No
Current Thread - 45/250

O'thor was already noticing benefits to flying a Silver. New riders were appearing in between those of the Gale Stalkers Wing to replace bags of firestone. He checked his bag, just to be sure, and saw that he had just under half a bag left. That would be plenty to hold them for a bit longer. Silvers supposedly had longer and hotter flames; apparently that meant he would have to refill his bags less often.

O'thor fished a few chunks out of the bag as Adamanth addressed the same concern.

It will be an aid to those in our wing if we do not need to take the refill riders from those who genuinely need it. We will be able to wait until others are taken care of to request the same service. He turned his head to accept the stone from his rider, quickly and carefully taking the chunks and turning back to look ahead as he crunched the firestone to dust and swallowed.

The next belch of flame was so hot that the Thread ash blowing back at O'thor warmed his face where it hit and the intensity and brilliance of color was more than he had yet seen Adamanth produce. He would have to keep that in mind for later; fresh firestone meant a that Adamant's flame was temporarily greater than usual.

Kleos & Moriath
Agility: +3
HP: 77/77
+5 to burn dice (Wingleader)

------------

Moriath called to those who had responded to her, crunching down on more firestone in preparation for another assault on the Thread curtain before them.

A thick patch ahead of them threatened; Moraith flamed at it but a feeling of warning from Kleos alerted her to a tangle blown towards them by the wind. With a beat of her wide wings back the powerful crimson rolled in mid air, still flaming at close range to create a spiral or fire that cut a swathe through the Thread around them.
