The A.I. Hathor had just become alerted to the other Artificial Intelligence in her ship and that life support had come back online, but she couldn't do anything about it, a thousand of her screamed at each other all at once. She was prematurely going into Rampancy and the Spartan-I on the bridge with both Human insurrectionists forces and Covenant Loyalist remnants was behind it, the Spartan was reprogramming her, whoever she was, she was a tech expert, the more Hathor resisted the more she was damaged. She wanted to reach out and ask this new intelligence to help her but she couldn't all she could do was watch as they slowly took down her defenses. Almost all the ships crew had been captured and forced onto a barren world left to fend for themselves
========================================================Vin Kotam-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rank: Fleetmaster/Kaidon of the state of Kotam Side: Nuetral/Arbiter-Human Alliance later in the civil war Appearance: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ================================================== Vin sat in the captain's chair as the CCS class battle cruiser Rightous Vengeance sailed through slipspace, towards their objective, he looked at the twelve Sangheili before him and said "Brothers when we get to the human ship I will need six of you to remain behind and protect our ship. The Jiralhanae are cowards and would try and take our ship as well to strengthen their cause." the bridge crew roared in acknowledgement. Satisfied Vin readied his gear and had his boarding party do the same. It never hurt to be careful especially with Jiralhanae involved. ==================================================

Curtis searched the ship's functions... something didn't "feel" right. The ship's bridge was not connected to the ship, neither is the engines. Everything in between was under his control. What was more confusing was that he could'nt find the ships original AI. It was as though she was hiding, or is locked up with her matrix. He looked around the system and found that he did have control of the midship's survival controls. He could open a few doors and access simple terminals. He looked around to keep himself from getting bored until he found something strange. The pelican launch bay had one extra pelican... strange. He couldn't figure out why, but something told him that Brutes were not their only problem. He found the cargo bay and noted that it was sealed up, at least the device is safe. He decided that he better just find the survivors. He checked everywhere and found the survivors huddled in one of the labs. He projected himself before them and placed his holo hands on his hips like he was looking at some misbehaved kids, "Hey there, I'm the one that just shown the light to you believers, hold your applause. We could use a hand in getting the ship back online of course. We could use some help getting into the bridge, and someone to get the engines back up. But for now, we need to talk." The door that held them opened, "Don't worry, all doors that hold covenant are locked, they won't be bothering you as you head to meeting point with the rest of the rescue team. However, what would be nice is for someone to tell me what the hell went down in here, and where is Hathor?"
Sinclair nodded in agreement, "Alright, Curtis find us a safe route to the survivors." Curtis looked at the commander, "I've already sent them a rally point, the lab they were in is kinda cramped. I'm sending them to the ship's armory. It's half way between both the ship's bridge and engine. I have control of most of the doors, but I can't promise 'safe.'" Sinclair pulled his pistol and cocked it. He lowered it and looked at Viktor and nodded to the door that Curtis just opened.
Aboard the Pale Horse, the real Curtis sensed something large on radar. He alerted the lieutenant, "Landez, I'm detecting another covenant ship on the Say My Name's bow... Sir, i'm detecting Sanghelli dialect, unknown alegence. Ship's comms still can't contact the carrier, so we can't even wave our hands out the window to warn them. I'll keep the ship's cloaking barrier on and whoops, did I just arm our havok nukes just incase things get hairy? Well, I don't think you need to tell me, just let the super smart AI take care of things." The AI said, really unsure how things are going inside the carrier. That's why he acted so flustered, he hated not knowing things.

Whispers began to spread among the soldiers and techheads "Covenadent.....brutes....death" where just a few of the whispers that where spreading among the crew at what the hologram projection said. John just stood there and watched the hologram his silver facplace unmoving neither where his eye's "Sir I thought Task one would be to get all non combat personal off this ship and then if where able retake the ship." John said in a grunted face. The information being put down was john's option, he didn't just spend 6 hours along side these men and women to have them get killed. This realization hit john and he turned on his heel and faced the other soldiers " Alright Tom,Kurt Mary your with me for taking back the bridge. Margret and Sam you will be escorting The tech heads to the hanger and await Orders if you see any damn alien or nonhuman son of a b***h you drop them dead." There was a small salute given the time they had and the tech heads followed after the ODST's as for john and the other three they made there way to the rally point. It seemed that the ships armory was on the way there and they could get better equipment if they so pleased and that they could bring ammo to the rescue squad if they needed it

Viktor Nikolai Kravchenko ------------------------------------- Rank: First Sergeant Specialty: Covert Operations, Infantryman Branch: UNSC Marine Corps,105th O.D.S.T. Division, 19th Shock Battalion Ship: UNSC Midsummer Night ------------------------------------- =======================================================
Viktor and the ODST recon team ran up stopped him and said, "Delay that order Gunny, we need to secure the engine room first. The enemy could blow the ship before we even have a chance at securing the bridge, and then we need to secure a package for ONI. Then we retake the bridge." Viktor looked at the ODSTs taking the scientists back and said Ryan, Vasily go with Margaret and Sam make sure those scientists get there safely. Gunny you and your men are with us now. ONI priority mission." Viktor then turned to the Holo pedestal and said "Curtis can you find us a path to the engine room." =======================================================
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vin Kotam-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rank: Fleetmaster/Kaidon of the state of Kotam Side: Nuetral/Arbiter-Human Alliance later in the civil war Appearance: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ================================================== The CCS class battle cruiser Righteous Vengeance dropped out of slipspace instantly their sensors picked up the derelict ship and the Jiralhanae ships attached to the hull. Vin growled in anger, its just as he suspected, the Jiralhanae were trying to take the ship presumably to wage war against the Sangheili. He turned to he turned to his communications officer Var and said to him "Open a channel now all human frequencies." he nodded and said "It is done fleetmaster," Vin patted him on the shoulder and spoke in the human language they called English." This is Fleetmaster Vin Kotam to any UNSC Humans, I learned of your ships capture by those you would call Brutes, and I am here to render what little aid I can do you need assistance?" Vin then decided not to wait and said to his comms officer" If they respond patch them through to my Phantom, he then selected six Sangheili for his boarding team and left Raan in command of the ship. He then marched to his Phantom dropship and as soon as the last Sangheili was on board he took off for the ship to kill any enemy of the Sangheili and UNSC. ==================================================

Curtis looked at the gunnery sergeant and sighed, "You humans are so rash when it comes to grudges and vengence." He looked at Viktor and nodded, "Right, giving coordinates." Curtis made a mock voice of a car GPS with an actual female voice, "Head down 45 meters, then turn left, to engine room corridor- Whoops, sorry that wasn't supposed to happen. Here, head to this waypoint and I'll open any bulkheads in the way." Sinclair hefted the case and stopped at the door, pistol in hand, "Mr. Kravchenko is right. One thing the covenant always does, even if it's dumb brutes, is try to destroy a ships engines. It will do more than take out mobility. Curtis said that he couldn't get the engines or the bridge. So Hathor might've disconnected them so the intruders couldn't access one from the other. The bridge can wait, it will take a high class AI like Curtis or Hathor to reconnect everything, so we can move there last. Curtis, also make sure that the cargo bay is locke down until we get there." Curtis nodded and blinked out, his voice was heard in the speakers in the room, "I should probably mention, I saw a chieftan somewhere near the bridge. I can't tell if he's still there, but it would be a good idea to keep an eye out."
Curtis in the Pale Horse heard the transmission and looked over to LT Landez. "Don't worry sir, I got this." His hologram placed a hand on his head where his ear would be, "Hello there Fleetmaster, I must say I am really impressed with your english, your english teacher must be proud. Now, about that assistance, I guess it could be required. We have brutes involved and some very sensitive equipment inside that ship. I cannot contact the Commander inside the cruiser, but what he would suggest is to help whipe out the invading brutes. It might help make sure the ODSTs inside don't shoot you."

We were required to learn your languages as you were required to learn ours. Now can you communicate with your forces inside your ship let them know allied Sangheili are incoming, and could you find us a place where we could board your vessel? We could cut our way into your vessel through the Jiralhanae ship but that would take time." His Phantom was now floating directly aboard the ship waiting for a spot to put down. ==================================================

Curtis listened to the fleetmaster and held back a chuckle, they always spoke in elegance, even if they are noble killers. Curtis kepttrack of the phantom that left the new elite ship, "We lost contact with them because the ship's comms are down. We are waiting for them to turn it back, but it might be a while. So, just a heads up, if you plan on entering before that happens, and I already see you're on approach to the Say My Name, it might take some convincing to make sure you don't get chot in the head by the troopers. They might have a little bit of a grudge, but hey, anything can happen right? Now, My best suggestion is to take the hanger entrance on the starboard side. You can't miss it, it's the only one that malfunctioned during the shut down. Sheilds work to keep atmosphere inside, but the door is a little open, big enough to squeeze your ship if you want. If you cut a hole in it, it might alert the pirates and the rescue team. Becareful out there."

My ship will offer whatever assistance we can provide. Fleetmaster out."" piloted his dropship with his boarding party to the location the artificial construct directed him too, there on the starboard side of the ship was a launch bay. Vin had boarded enough human ships in his time to know the general layout and so he piloted the phantom into the half open door having barely enough room to fit inside,He set the dropship down on the hangers deck and opened the gravity lift on the dropship and his Sangheili dropped down to the deck activating their active camouflage, Vin following shortly after, activating his camouflage and readying his Carbine. He ordered his team" Move out and search the ship for the humans do not shoot the UNSC. Kill anything not UNSC." they nodded and ventured further out into the ship checking corners, hallways, and conducting a room by room search. ==================================================

Inside the Say My Name, Curtis saw the elites' phantom land in the semi-open hanger, but didn't see anyone coming out really. He alerted the Commander and Troopers as they went down the hall, "Everyone, I just saw a Phantom land in the starboard side hanger bay. It blocked my cameras so I can't see what came out. Strange, if it's more brutes, then why did they just out of nowhere use the open hanger?" Sinclair looked up to the camera, "That is strange... do you see anything going down the halls connected to that hanger?" Curtis replied, but sounding more sidetracked, "No, nothing, but something is still rather off. I just can't seem to put my ironic finger on it. Give me a bit to sort things out... Oh, and turn here." Curtis opened an approaching Bulkhead for them and placed a waypoint for their next checkpoint.

Viktor grabbed Weber and said "Staff Sergeant your with me, Commander we're going to check the shuttle bay make sure nothing followed us in" he said that just as Vasily and Keller came back and said "Gunny Melrose's troopers elected to protect our ride and the civies sarge" Viktor nodded and said. "You Keller with me, Vasily stay with the Gunny Melrose. lets move." he and the two other ODSTs began to jog to the shuttle bay to check out the sudden phantom appearance.

Sinclair was curious about the phantom appearance. The brutes latched themselves onto the Say My Name with poarding crafts, and then out of nowhere there showed up one in the hanger? The commander kept up with the others, keeping his thoughts to himself. The intercoms in the hall they were in spoke up, "Don't worry, I'm not broadcasting to the whole ship, only where you are all at. Now if you are going to check out the phantom, I recommend taking this up coming turn here. It will take you to the hanger control area and will have a good view of the hanger, just incase something hostile is waiting in the bay itself." Curtis marked a nav point to a door up ahead. He continued his snooping around in the ships systems, everything seemed to be changing. Not really that noticable, just some malfunctioning doors and lights here and there. But then there was the rare vital system glitches. Gravity and life support kept trying to break down, only to be quickly repaired by him before anyone noticed. Something must be wrong, if Hathor was still in the ship, then she might be trying to reach out by these constant anomalies. Curtis continued to go through the ship, keeping an eye on everyone and making sure they don't run into anymore brutes.

The A.I. Hathor, finally became fully rampant or rather whatever passed for an enemy turncoat for an artificial intelligence. Her new renegade Spartan-I commander smiled and said to the A.I. "Reconnect the bridge to the engine room and give me full access to the weapons systems." Hathor's avatar appeared on the holo pedestal she appeared like a woman of Egyptian royalty back in the days of the Pharaohs, her arms crossed, she looked at the female Spartan-I commando and said "Working.... Done you may now access all the ships main functions commander, Oh take heed we have uninvited guests from what their IFF tags say it's a squad of ODSTs and they are trying to secure the engine room, there are also three ODSTs and an ONI Operative heading towards the starboard shuttle bay to check out a Phantom dropship that does not belong to our mutual friend Chieftain Maccabeus. Scanning the ship, not sure who the ship belongs too." She ran scans of the ship and said "Oh, the ship belongs to the Sangheili, they're aboard, detecting a Sangheili CCS class Battle Cruiser, as for their shuttle I can't tell if Sangheili boarded or not." The human commander looked at her and said "Arrange a little surprise for our guests in the engine room get all available units to the engine room. Prepare for a slipspace jump to Beta Hydri VI." The A.I. nodded and opened a slipspace window and the ship jumped to slipspace. leaving the UNSC Pale Horse, and the Sangheili CCS class battle cruiser behind.

In the Pale Horse, Curtis detected that most of the functions spontaneously turned on. He was about to access the comms when he detected something strange. If an AI could gasp, he would've. Out of desperation, he contacted the sangheili ship, "Attention allied vessel, get your men out of there! It's a tra-" Before Curtis could finish and get a hold of the Commander and the ODSTs on the inside, he sensed the Say My Name's slipspace engines turn on and jump. Curtis's hologram disappeared, he was so mad that he wanted to hide any "body" language, "Son of a- Lieutenant Landez, there were human insurrgents on board. They did something to the ship's AI and now they gone off with the Commander!" The LT looked worried. Curtis figured that he should be, he just got a mock promotion only to lose the superior officer, "Can you track them?" Curtis was frustrated to lose the commander, but he had to hold the sarcastic remarks, "No, it was to sudden to peek in, but we do have men in there, our only bet is to hope that they make it throu-" He was interupted again by a flash. He totally forgot about the Brute Frigate that was left behind as well. Curtis activated the ship's camo and prepared for a fight while the others were stranded in a hijacked ship.
Curtis detected it before everyone made it to the hanger. Then it hit him hard. He felt most of his vision failing for a split second. It didn't take long to recompose himself. For now, he was curious. In the ship's systems, he found that everything was back online again; the bridge, the engines, and the coms. But, something didn't feel right. He snooped around as he learned that the reason that he was losing camera control was because the AI Hathor was using them now. He was just a fagment, but her matrix did give her more control. He wasn't going to show himself though yet, something about the AI made him feel nervous. He wanted to tell the commander and the troopers, then he felt a lurch, I guess you may say. The ship was going through slipspace. Now everything was getting interesting. He began to make some ghost simulations to hide himself. He wanted to see how things played out before he yelled suprise.
Sinclair followed the troopers down the hall and heard the unmistaken sound of engines. He spoke up his curiosity to the others, "Curtis, is that the engines? Were you able to turn them on?" He waited to hear an answer, but the AI didn't reply, "Curtis, are you there?" Sinclair then felt a quick nausiating feeling in the pit of his stomach, another sign that told him that they now entered slipspace, "What the hell is going on?! I thought the bridge couldn't control the engines any more? Dammit Curtis, answer me!" Still no sign of the AI. The Commander looked at Vitkor, "Sergeant, we better skip the hanger and head straight to the engine room. I want to know what's making them work." Sinclair was worried. He didn't like to admit it, but he was like most AIs: he didn't like not knowing anything.

Viktor felt the lurch of the deck and then suddenly he heard the hum of the engines and felt the vibrations of the deck plating beneath his feet before the all too familiar feeling of a slipspace launch. He looked at the commander and nodded and shouted at the A.I. "CURTIS WHAT THE ******** IS GOING ON AND YOU'D BETTER ANSWER ME BEFORE I BLAST YOUR VIRTUAL a** INTO ACTUAL DUST!?" Viktor took a minute to regain his cool and said "I agree commander we need to figure out what got those engines running, WEBER, KELLER DOUBLE TIME IT TO THE ENGINE ROOM NOW!!" he grabbed the commander and dragged him into a full on sprint to the engine room.

"This does not bode well brothers the Jiralhanae could be heading towards Sangheilios as we speak, we MUST gain control of the ship, our priority now is to find the UNSC Humans, they would know more about how to regain control of their ship. MOVE OUT BROTHERS!!!" The Sangheili roared in acknowledgement and they quickly killed the Kig-Yar and Unngoy they were interrogating for information and broke out into a full on sprint towards nowhere in particular but according to the lettering and arrows pointing to the deck it looked like they were heading towards the ships engine room. ==================================================

Curtis resisted answering the others. He sorta enjoyed watching humans and their meaningless frustrations and anger. He scanned the engines and found that the bridge was operational again. But, the bridge was still locked down. Hathor must know that he was in the system, but didn't know how much of a threat he could be. Smart, she must be online again, but isn't talking to him or the others. So it must be safe to assume that someone is in the bridge with her... but who? Something told him that there was a trap laid out for them in the engine room, but it would be better to keep quiet until the last second. He checked the cameras that Hathor wasn't using and found large shadows leaving their views. He utilized the ship's olfactory sensors and detected the familiar smell of brutes. It seemed that they didn't seem to panic, but were heading to the engine room as well. So, they want to corner the commander and troopers... how strangely organized. Curtis hid some more to just watch what would happen.
