The reward for being a good hound brother was a towel to the face. There was a mild amount of flailing from Damien as Jove began to smother him with the towel, the boil that was eagerly trying to wipe his face and knocking him over in the process. "ack, what the- Jove!" the muffled voice of the hellhound came from behind the cloth, sputtering and turning his head from side to side.
Seriously, no idea what that ghost boil was going to do next.

If there was one thing that could be said about Jove and baths, it was that the water always left him in a playful mood. Ren was the first friend to figure it out, and ended up with a soaked bedroom as Jove happily rubbed his wet hair in the bedsheets.
Even now it didn't seem to matter that his wagging tail was sending as much water flying as what he could dry off. But at least with Demi knocked over, it was easier for Jove to rub his hair and ears. And without smothering him in the process!

Was it too much for Damien to ask Jove to stop? Apparently it was, now that the shorter boil had better access to his hair and ears, taking the chance to act like the bigger brother and fawning over him in turn. It was a strange turn of role reversal to the hound. "Jove, i'm dry i tell you dry." he tried to calm the energetic pup down, before he caused a pile of static to build up. The green eared boil was already gingerly matting down the poofy fur on his ears. And hiding his tail from the foxfires sight.

There was no hiding tails from one who's own was so large and poofy. When it wasn't soaked through, at least. As soon as Jove decided Demi's ears and hair really were dry, he practically fell into the hound's lap in an attempt to find out where that tail was hiding. Was he sitting on it? Oh, maybe it was under the towel... Nope, not looking there. The little pup sprang back to his feet, and in a fit of puppy zooms he darted back to the still-running shower and got himself wet all over again.

Damien was glad that Jove's curiosity kept him away from his own towel. but it did leave the foxfire will free reign over his hair and ears. It was also just as hard to refuse the pup from what he wanted to do. it wasn't as if he was harming him.
just, ruffling his green and black brown fur.
and the pup in question was off again, heading back into th e showers. "Jove what in the seven hells are you even doing?" he wanted to go take a look, just to make sure the boil didn't crack his head on the tiles in there. but he felt safer here, on the floor and away from the room in question.

It was a good thing he stayed put, because when Jove dashed back, soaking wet once again with his feet slipping on the floor, he would have knocked Demi down all over again. Instead he flopped down next to the hound and butted his head against Demi's shoulder playfully. Puppy zooms were a frightening thing to behold.

Frightening to behold indeed. Jove was able to run around wet with ease, agile and lucky with his fall. the bump of skull meeting shoulder was not as bad as Demi expected, preparing for the blow that came up as a mere tap. Ana the more careful hound had his hands firmly around the foxfires hips, holding him in place. "Ah ah, this is not the place to play like that, you'll wind up injured somehow and I may get in trouble with your big brother." again, more scolding with the eyes that wanted the riled up boil to calm down. He was going to have to ask Ren if it might be best to put Jove in a bubble. if one could even work for ghosts and the rapid energy that little hounds have.

Jove's tail wagged, and he wiggled in place. Nobody had ever needed to tell the pup not to run on slippery floors, nor had he ever experienced a wipeout bad enough to learn the lesson the hard way. But he had no leverage to get free, so he settled for butting his head against Demi's shoulder a second time. And then suddenly, he poked one of his friend's green marks curiously. They weren't bruises, but did Demi always have them there? Or did he get them at some point? Hopefully the hound wasn't ticklish, because Jove decided it would be a good idea to run his fingers over the marks, just to see what they felt like. Scars usually left a feeling, but bruises didn't.

It was like disciplining the runts back home. Those the were far younger than damien that nededed to learn to relax and stop breaking things. It was a nostalgic feeling. Jove was such a runt. It was more prominent when the ghost boil decided to try and poke at his mark, green slashes that began to puff wisps of brimstone, tendrils of grey and green that flowed like mist from within. "smoke comes out from there." the explanation was simple, before Jove felt the need to dig his fingers into the marks. The skin was already pruney, soft and supple from the overexposure to moisture. "Ok enough shower lessons Jove." he could only hope that he would listen. or else the pup was going to have to be carried out.

Oh... that was pretty remarkable! The pup's wet tail wagged, and he looked like he was about to try getting up and running around again, until the slight wisp of smoke tickled his nose. He sneezed three times in quick succession, the way foxfires never seemed to have just one sneeze in them, and then stared up at Demi as if to ask "What on earth just happened?" He could remember the last time he sneezed, and it had been just as surprising to the young pup. He ended up spraying spookie crumbs all over his brother's bed.

In one ear and out the other, Damien could almost see the words pass by the foxfire buddy in his hands like dust in the wind, or steam as it was the locker room. Wide eyed Jove was a spectacle to see, a magical moment that had the hound himself stunned with Jove and his overall adorableness. It was a fact, Jove was one hell of an adorable boil. if he went around the student body and asked what they thought of the short ghost boil dog, he would reason to believe that the top answers would be 'cute, adorable or playful.' Case in point when the runt began to sneeze in a fit while being restrained and looking up with those peepers. "Jeeze, and I thought my eyes were deadly." Demi muttered aloud, bopping the boil on the head and putting a towel on top of the wet shaggy mop and walking them toward the door. "you can investigate the locker room another time when you get messy and hopefully not put yourself in any danger, alright?"

Jove was completely unaware of the effect his cuteness had on the hound. If he had his way, he would completely ignore anything even remotely related to himself being in any way cute or adorable, but there were very few things that were not cute when they were young. And then you had foxfires, who were just cute forever. The little pup's ears perked, and although they were promptly flattened by a towel on his head he still watched Demi with curious eyes. Investigate... another time? Why would he put himself in danger in the locker room? His head slowly tilted until the hound had reached the door. Oh, yeah. There was something he had been doing before he got distracted by the shower. His head tilted the other way. Maybe some spookies would remind him.

The fun part about Jove? there was rarely a protest from the pup, at least with words. There was growling and biting a barking, but at least it was better than hearing a scareling screaming No at the top of his lungs. But with the Jove turning away from the door, looked like he had no problem with leaving, a sign of approval to demi and talking a step out into the chilly autumn air. it was a change from the humid atmosphere of the shower room, something that felt refreshing and familiar. "Time to go runt."
