[--- Jaice Tsumehari ---] Jaice sighed as he tilted his head, refilling the saucer. "In my experience, there are three things that are inevitable in this world: pain, loss, and death. The truth is, we feel pain when we lose those we feel are precious to us, but it will happen to all of us, eventually, as we are mortal regardless of our skill and power. It isn't that we suffer them that matters, but how well we endure them that matters," he said quietly. As he spoke, Kirama shifted on his seat before standing on it as he dipped a finger into the sake and tasted it before he grimaced. "How the heck do you drink that, Tou-san?" he said with a frown. "Practice," he said to Kirama, who snorted. "It's funny, but when you think about the 'eccentric' shinobi that are still around, it's usually that they're eccentric to forget their unpleasant pasts," he said with amusement.

"I hope one day, the shinobi world will become what it was. even though there were a lot of wars and chaos, it was.. Rather fun. It gave people the fire they've been looking for. For instance, when we were mere Genin and Konoha was being attacked. You, me, and Hakubi had to evacuate everyone to the Hyuuga Sanctuary. It gave us our first sense of responsibility and purpose. I think that what Genin these days are lacking.. A sense of purpose, since they don't think they're good enough. Back then, Genin were the most important, nowadays.. There's so many, there's just not enough in this world to do to give them the growing up they need.." Unlike when Jaice and her were Genin, there's was so much going on, there weren't enough Genin to handle it all. Times HAVE changed. "You Will Always Be In My Heart Qastor"

[--- Jaice Tsumehari ---] Jaice shrugged. "I haven't forgotten that; it was our first C-Ranked mission we had," he said quietly. Almost as he spoke, a falcon dove through the curtains and landed on his shoulder. It was a beautiful deep golden color with black around its throat and breast while its wings were an unusual reddish gold. "Kinsaku," he said quietly, taking the slip of paper from the falcon. He frowned at the message, his normally deep bluish teal eyes narrowing as silver overtook them.

"Seems there's a group of bandits, my contact says there's at least two dozen there along with at least two Chūnin ranked rogue-nin among them, headed towards Nami no Kuni; he said they mentioned the name Tatsu Kazakuya," he said quietly, referring to a Konoha Jōnin who had gone rogue roughly two thirds of the way through the last war. The man was ranked as a B-ranked threat as he was skilled in Earth Release techniques as well as Fire Release techniques.

He noticed Kirama bouncing on the stool out of the corner of his eye as if he were excited at the idea of fighting strong bandits and rogue shinobi.

She filled the saucer with sake and downed it, showing of two rings on her left hand and an Akatsuki ring on her right.."We'll just have to slaughter them all" She said softly, some kind of hidden fire was spoken through her voice. [--- Jaice Tsumehari ---] Jaice had found several years before that the extended use of his Kekkei Genkai had caused unusual growths of bone that had promptly been covered in the same metal inside his arms. He felt a shift in his forearms and felt a slight burning as the narrow blades that were a third of a meter (fourteen inches) long slide out between his knuckles beneath his gloves where the narrow slits lined with chakra conducting metal were.
"I doubt that'll be hard," he said quietly.

[--- Jaice Tsumehari ---] Jaice tilted his head as the blades retracted into his hands, feeling the intense itch as the wounds healed. He had awakened a secondary Kekkei Genkai; where his Keiton techniques were a body related Kekkei Genkai, the secondary one was chakra related. Few people knew that Kekkei Genkai as a whole fell into three main categories: eye related techniques such as the Byakugan, chakra related techniques such as the Mokuton element, and body related techniques like the Shikotsumyaku of the Kaguya Clan.
"Secondary Kekkei Genkai; it made my chakra denser and actually made my speed quite a bit higher as a side effect. One of the outward side effects was a change in my eye color from deep teal to a glowing bluish teal and my hair became silvery white as a side effect," he said wryly.

[--- Jaice Tsumehari ---] Jaice tilted his head with a faint half smile. "When you think about it, it's rare that people stay the same over the years. I've encountered ninja that i hadn't seen in years, and didn't recognize them," he said wryly with amusement. "It may interest you to know that when it kicked in... I found something that responded to me, apparently triggering the dormant Kekkei Genkai," he said as he focused, summoning the vicious looking twenty eight inch long sword with the six inch long hilt. The blade rippled with pale greenish teal flame for a second along its edge as he shifted it so it rested behind him; he knew the sword had a natural defense in it that would cause second degree burns to anyone who tried to weild it other than him. He had seen one rogue-nin that had tried to use it against him and had suffered third and fourth degree burns on his hands, forearms, and right shoulder mainly because the idiot was too stupid to let go of the weapon.OOC- Fourth degree burns are usually painless, whereas third degree are usually extremely painful.ᾧ✲ Sanin of Konohagakure no Sato ~ Former Rokudaime Hokage ✲ᾧ
