Sherry knew where she had to go first. The moment she was finished with lunch, Jake was lost in the crowd, and her hour had started she made a beeline for her first goal.

Sherry was late to the meeting spot by two minutes. Not because she'd been shopping, but because she'd gotten stuck behind some family on her way across the mall. She was carrying several bags from various shops, and looked rather pleased with herself.
"Did you find everything you needed to?" She was beaming at Jake. "What next?"

Jake had been inspecting the contents of his bag when he heard Sherry's voice, where he quickly closed it and slung it over his shoulder again.
"Y-yah."
He looked around.
"Dunno. I think I'm done what I need to do. How about you?"

Sherry nodded. "I think I got everything I needed." That and more. Most of the bags were full of stuff for her. "Shall we head back? I have a few things I need to take care of on the island." She paused for a moment. "Unless you can think of anything else you'd like to do."

Staring at the bags she carried, he kinda hoped so.
How... in the world did she manage to get that much in an hour?
... women. He'd never understand them.
He stiffened.
"Yes, I'm done. No, I don't need anything else."

"You sure? You got new socks and stuff?" Sure, one could get such things on the island, but they weren't as nice, in her opinion.
"Well. I suppose we can head towards the door, and if we see anything else we need, we can stop and get it." She turned and started to slowly walk towards the main entrance. "You never know when portals will go back down, so you want to make sure you're prepared."
Of course, all the prep in the world can't help you if your entire room gets destroyed, but oh well.

He made a face at the mention of socks.
Chester had been MORE than adamant about reminding him to get those... along with some shirts, an extra pair of pants, some shirts...
Needless to say, it was a good thing he was given his pay for this month, because he barely had any funds left.

SHUT UP
"Yah." he muttered, pushing past Sherry, his face turning a little darker.

"Ok." She thought Jake looked a little...well, she didn't know, and before she had time to decide he was forging ahead.
She stuck close behind him, running her purchases over in her head. She did have everything, right?

It was probably a good thing he was walking in front of Sherry, since his face was turning more red.
He ran a hand through his hair self-consciously, turning slightly to see if she was looking, and let out a small sigh of relief when it appeared she was busy looking over her bags.
Leave me alone.

She was fairly certain she had everything. She knew the moment she was back through that portal she'd remember something she'd forgotten, but oh well. With any luck at all, portals would stay up for a while and it wouldn't matter. Sherry knew better than to count on it, though.
Armagnac was bored.
Sherry rolled her eyes and quickened her pace. Did Jake looked troubled about something? It was hard to tell with him. "You sure you're ready to head out? We still have a couple of hours if you need them."

"Yes," she conceded, eying him with suspicion. The fact that he was that tense about something intrigued her. "What had you so wound up?" She would have put her hands on her hips as she asked...but multiple bags in her hands prevent such actions.
