Cupid puffs up his feathers, preening slightly; oh hell yes he was cute. Phyl rolls her eye at the bird "I'm Tick Phyllida. I'm here in hopes of Tock catching and Tick punishing santa clause" Oh no Phyl, not this again...

Frederique scoffs, taking Cambria's hand gently "Do you think I'll share you that easily? He can wait until we finish dancing." And with that Frederique pulls Cambria onto the dance floor.

Claire looks around at the crowd, musing. She really felt out of place here, especially this being her firstt day in the school. Claire sighs, walkin towards the wall and using her hair to pull a chair over, plopping down and watching the people socialize. She reaches into her hair, digging out a water bottle, a plastic bag of charcoal and a sketchbook. Her hair was the best place to stash things; no one ever found it.

Claire begins sketching the people she saw, especially the pink guy in the videogame outfit. He really would have looked better as Zelda, not Navi.

Tori Knightly really didn't want to come to this party; but it was either that or be stuck at home with his mother while she glared holes into the back of his head. And possibly a stapler would soon follow her glares and make a dent.

There was no way he would stick around with her. Instead he came to this party, not realizing that it would be filled with girls. Statistically it would be logical; but he forgot statistics when he ran into the dining hall. He was the first one here; until that green lady with the flowers entered, then he hid under the table. Ah yes, this was the safest place to be.

"Oh." Cambria said. At once completely at a loss for words. "Oh, okay." Her mismatched eyes wide at Fred's statement. Apparently Fred was possessive. Hot. Really Hot.

She couldn't knock the silly smitten grin off her face even when they started dancing. Cambria couldn't think of a place she'd rather be. Or anyone she'd rather be with.

Tobi followed along behind Vic, keeping all three eyes out at the rest of the gymnasium occupants. None of them really seemed to catch his eye, really. Not for conversation at least. "Can I have some cookies?" He looked up at Vic, blinking a few times. Sweets were his favorite, even if for some reason he wouldn't eat them very often.

Adessi watched him curiously. It seemed kind of ridiculous, but he did seem to know what he was doing... She slid off of her chair and nodded a little. "Okay, I suppose we can try dancing then... If you don't mind teaching me how." She smiled a little and held out her hand for him to take.

"Haha, it feels like that, huh?" He settled down into a chair next to her and shook his head a little. "I'm not thirsty right now, but thanks... How've you been?" He leaned one elbow on the table and then rested his head in the palm of his hand.

Well there were two near by options... The boy with the short blue hair, or the other boy with the horns. Both seemed to be worthy apprentices, but really... That kid with the horns needed some help. And so he strode over to Alexander, not one hint of shyness in him.

"What's your name?"

Oh, he waved back! Altair took that as an invitation to come say hi up close, and slid off of her chair, then trotted over to Sha and Trae. "Hi Sha, how're you? Your costume looks great!"

Pushing the limits of what counts as fashionably late is what Theo does best, but there was no way he made it into that category this time. He was just plain late, without the frills. Not that he cared or anything... he was just at this ball for the food and the chicks, and maybe also there to laugh at some stupid costumes. Speaking of which, he had gone all out this year: he wore a yellow and black striped shirt under a black jacket with jeans. Theo was channeling his inner bee, what was wrong with that? Nothing at all. He happened to have the matching wings and antennas built in.

The teen slipped in through the doors in a carefree lope and paused halfway into the room to get a look at the crowd of Metas already gathered. There were a ton of faces he didn't recognize, probably more than ones he DID recognize, which was sort of disturbing. Thankfully, he was able to pick out his bro Gavin on the first sweep of the room, and picked his way around people to go see him. The other pixie was carrying a bag of something, and as Theo squinted at him he started to realize what was going on. "Damn man, you better tell me where you're putting that stuff. I don't want to be victimized unless I want to be." Although the look on his face still made it clear that he agreed with the operation otherwise.

Meanwhile, Adeline wasn't the sort who tried to be late on purpose - she usually tried to be punctual if she could swing it. Somewhere between spending too long on her shimmery gold makeup and having tons of fashion crises that she couldn't solve quickly on her own caused her to be one of the last people through the doors. She had almost changed her mind and stayed in her dorm, but she couldn't justify not at least checking in. She was dressed in sheer, draping layers of black fabric held in place by crisscrossing bands of gold, dragging a thin train behind her as she walked. Her thick curls were half secured in an updo, but still fell around her shoulders and turned to hiss at people she passed by. The gorgon girl didn't really know WHICH goddess the outfit was supposed to represent, in the end she got it because it was pretty. Which is all that really mattered to her at the time.

Although significantly more confident in herself than the last time she attended a themed ball, Adeline still hesitated awkwardly near the doorway and then slowly continued inside. This would be so much easier if she had her best friend to hover around, but maybe it was for the best she had to branch out on her own.

Alexander looks up, giving a big smile, happy to be greeted. "Hiya! My name is Alexander, what's yours?" He sets his cup down, giving a little bow in greeting.

Hank sat down. It was all he could do when he saw Adeline; last time they had been at the ball, it was different; Adeline had been practically grown, while he was just a child. She had been stunning then, and she was stunning now.

Hank just sat and watched her for a minute - was that creepy? He couldn't help it. But he couldn't just sit here all night and watch her; that got him no where. He had talked to her before, he had asked her out (but never followed up god he was a jerk), he had to do something.

Hank stood up suddenly, and almost knocked over the chair. He grabbed it, steadied it, and wiped his palms on his pants. Time to move.

He headed toward the heliotropic vision, and stopped a foot or so away.

It took him a false start or two before he could speak.

"Hi, Adeline. How - how have you been?"

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Phyllida." Yoo smiled but it went away as a confused look came to him. "Punishing Santa Clause? Did he do something bad or forget to give you a present? From what I know he's suppose to giving all the good kid around the world presents on Christmas. It's suppose to mean he's a good man." Yoo rubbed his chin as he actually began to think and take it seriously, not like the silly thoughts of children. "Well if he did do something bad I'm sure he would apologize."
Yoo smiled at the girl but as he did his eyes slowly began to drift as they looked around the small sea of people. There were now a couple of new faces from the last time he looked around and again his eyes noticed the guy in the suit of armor. There was something familiar about the wings bet he couldn't piece it together. He had probably been staring so long that if he was noticed he would most likely be embarrassed. "I can't put my finger on it." He stated while rubbing his chin and forgetting that Phyl was still in front of him.

Vic looked around suspiciously, trying to see if Moira had arrived or not before he turned back to Tobi. "Sure but don't tell your mother. She might get mad at me if you eat too many but this is a party so it should be ok." Again he looked around making sure his wife wasn't around and sighed when he didn't see her. He handed his son two chocolate chip cookies and took one for himself, eating it one bite. It really felt like it had been so long since he had some sweets and he was really missing his fathers strawberry shortcake. How he would give anything to have a nice big bit of it. Thinking about it was making the adult drool but wiped it away with his arm.

If Aiden and all his family agreed he made a good knight, Edmund wasn't going to bother to worry about his costume anymore. He made an agreeing hum about the school work being taxing around now.

"That's good then! I've been spending a lot of time wandering around on the grounds though.... that's not new for me at all. I'm looking forward to winter though."

"Winter will be nice... though I always seem to have so much more time in the winter. Not as much gardening work." He sounded disappointed about having less work to do rather then relieved. "But Christmas is always good, and hopefully it snows at least once."

Then it was as if Willow's bee radar went off and she turned her head just a bit to catch a glimpse of the boy she was crushing on. Looks like he was headed over to talk to Gavin. This wasn't shocking, though her stomach started turning in knots wondering if and when he'd notice her. If he did would he come over and talk to her, or would she have to go chase him down? Maybe Gavin would be an exceptional brother and lead him over here. She tried not to get too distracted though and turned back to Aiden with a smile.

"Snow would be wonderful. Ooo I'd love to go walk in the woods if it snows."

Gavin meanwhile paused in his "decorating" to look at Theo who had finally shown up.

"Whoa look who finally made it. Dressed to the ******** nines too." He gave Theo a wide grin in greeting. In all seriousness he approved of Theo's costume choice, even if he hadn't gone too far out of the box. Any more effort then that and Gavin would have wondered if it was actually Theo standing before him. "Never fear Theo my friend I'll make sure you know all the places in which you can get properly victimized if and when you want. Or wait it might be you doing the victimizing here."

Gavin gave a shrug and another grin, he didn't really care who was doing the victimizing. As far as he knew if things went the way he thought they were going to, it was going to be a very mutual and willing "victimization". "But why split hairs? Here I'll show you the spots." He started pointing around the room to where he'd already put some up and then shook his bag thoughtfully. "Think I missed any important spots?" Then another thought came to him. "Oh speaking of victimizing, someone put something in the punch. Didn't look like alcohol so I'd avoid it unless you're feeling adventurous."

"Yes you made the sweater much more 'Silas', which is always good." And it was true, in Nadia's eyes anyway. She wouldn't go out anywhere with him like that for fear she might have to knock some heads together. Not that she'd totally mind doing that but she didn't want to see Silas get upset. Her eyes traveled over to see who he was pointing at. Looks like Ask had worn a horrible Christmas sweater too. She snorted softly. Kei was going to flip his lid. She wasn't sure what Ask's motive was but anything involving Kei being upset or annoyed was entertaining to her.

"His is nice, but yours is way better." She gave a grin to Silas before scanning the crowd a little more. Looks like River was talking to Isolde now. She had planned to steer Silas over with her to go talk to him but now she wondered if she should. Isolde had seemed out of sorts lately and Nadia thought that maybe waltzing over there and stealing River for a dance would not be helpful. Then again Isolde and Silas could talk a bit too, it was a dilemma. "So Silas, shall we go over to the table to get a snack, or would you prefer to try out your dance moves I've taught you?"

Meanwhile, Kei had managed to snap himself out of his horrified stupor as Ask spoke to him. He realized he hadn't even properly greeted him, just stared at him in horror. That needed to be made up for. He took his hands and placed them on either side of Ask's face gently and peered at him.

"My beautiful, darling, dearest, Ask. I am thrilled to no end to see you, but I hope you know that sweater is going to end up in tiny pieces on the floor when I'm through with it." This was all said in the most tender of tones, though Kei ripped his eyes away from peering lovingly at Ask's face a moment to glare at the offending article of clothing again. Then he turned his eyes back onto Ask and gave him a kiss hello.

Lyuben shook his head "Ah, but it is a big dehehehehehehehehehehehehehhehehehehehehehehHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE" Falling onto the floor, Lyuben broke into raucous laughter, pointing at Lenora. "Yo-ho-hour fa-ha-hace! Yo-ho-hour fa-ha-hace!" He is completely unable to contain himself, cackling and sputtering at the sight of Lenora.

Sharma grins and takes Adessi by the hands. "It's easy! You just have to follow the music," he says, leading her into a few simple steps. Anyone who looked at his face right now could see that he looks quite pleased with himself.

Phyllida shakes her head "He Tick only gives out presents to Tock make us forget what terrible things he does to babies! Don't Tick you know where they come from?" Yes, Phyl was about to start a tangent.

Frederique tried to dance gracefully, but occasionally stepping on Cambria's feet. Luckily the both of them were wearing boots, but Frederique blushed and apologized all the same "T-this is my first time dancing...sorry I'm clumsy"

Tori hears Vic and Tobias talking in front of him, relaxing when he realized they're both boys. He pulls up the table cloth very slightly, peeking up at the two of them before hiding once more. The tall, tanned male's bird had a happy pink hue to it, but the wings were tinged with a yellow longing. perhaps he wanted something. The small boy however, had a pure black bird, the color of anxiety.

Tobi took one cook in each hand and then nibbled at one. He nodded a little. "I won't tell. Thank you." He blinked a few times, sensing something a little... off. He looked down at the ground and spotted Tori. "W-what..." His anxiety spiked and he quickly skittered behind Vic. "Why is that boy under the table?"

Adessi followed him out, feeling a little awkward, but after awhile she warmed up to it and was at least able to try to move to the music. "D-Dancing is a little harder for me I think... You are very talented." Still, she was smiling.

Aiden nodded, grinning a little. "Snow would be nice. Maybe this year there'll be enough for snowmen, or snowball fights." She giggled a little, noting that Willow had looked after someone else... A boy in a bee costume. Oh how perfect. "Oh Willow, looks like there's a bee to your flower." She nodded at Theo, completely oblivious. Willow hadn't mentioned crushing on anyone, how was she to know?

"Hehe, thanks Nadia. Maybe I'll mayk anothur one fer eester? Eester's 'roun m'birthday tho' so I 'unno." He shrugged a little, and then looked towards where Nadia was looking... He didn't know either of those two people, but wow, such fluffy hair... Reminded him of clouds, which got his sleepy grin going again. "Oh, dancing. I practissed but I 'unno if I'm any better than beefor." He nodded a little and looked back to Nadia.

Well at least he knew how to bow...

"I'm Echo. What are you supposed to be, Alexander?" Echo quirked a curious brow. It seemed that some of these people were uncreative and didn't even come dressed up! That was a shame on top of their horrible sense of dress.

"Supposed to be?.." Alexander looks around, at all of the other guests, noticing they're in costumes. "Oh! Um... um... Give me one sec'!"
He looks around for a bit, trying to come up with a quick disguise before straightening his back in realization. "Oh! I know!"
Alexander slides off his coat right then and there, hanging it by the tag on one of his horns, the weight causing him to tip over a little towards Echo. "I'ma coat hanger! Nice to meetcha, Echo!"

Lenora frowns, patting her face again. "I don't think theres anything... Really...... Wrong with my face..." She trails off, blinking a few times, even squinting a bit as she slowly takes in whats happening around her. She laughs once, before noticing Echo and Alex (although I'm sure she sees something different, positive of it.). She slides down to the floor, covering up her mouth and trying not to laugh, but ends up failing at that and quite soon she's laughing, rather loudly.

Adeline had just been considering the snack table and all it's contents - too much sugar for her tastes at the moment - when she felt a sort of disturbance in the force. Maybe not, but at the very least she felt her hair snakes poof up a little in anticipation of something. As coolly as she could manage, Adeline looked over her shoulder just as Hank approached and smiled in relief, realizing at least that the snakes' reaction wasn't one of dread. As soon as he started talking, however, his nervous energy hit her like a ton of bricks, and she began to fidget with her costume a little in an attempt to dispel it. "Oh, hey Hank! It's good to see you again. I've been fine..." she paused to nod her head, as if reassuring herself it was the correct answer, "...yes. Fine. But what about you?" She couldn't help but squint her eyes a little to examine the look on his face, as he was looking more than a little freaked out. In the back of her mind she wondered if she should have asked him if he needed some water or something.

With a lazy look on his face, Theo held his arms out as if to glorify his arrival and damn good 'costume'. His friend happened to be right, it would be really out of character for him to put any more effort into anything he did tonight. "You're damn right I am, I thought about it for a long time and realized, why mess with nature? Why mess with perfection." He shook his head to accentuate the point, then let his attention wander back to the newly-hung mistletoe. Gavin had really gone all out, he had put it in some places nobody would notice until it was too late. Which was exactly the point. "Wow, no, I think you've gotten it pretty taken care of already. I bet you're going to get your a** kicked for this though." He had come to realize that not everyone thought this brand of prank was funny. Actually, Theo fell into that category as well if he wasn't in on it, hence why he demanded to know where it was safe to stand.

At the mention of the punch being spiked, he gave the other pixie a quizzical look. "What the hell, seriously? And you're not the one who did it? This is a pretty messed up school party already, and I just got here." He spat out a sharp laugh, although his curiosity was piqued. What WAS in the punch?

Yoo's head quickly turned back to Phyl, nearly knocking Cupid off of his head. "What he does to babies? What do you mean? But yes, I do know where babies come from well mostly human babies. I'm still confused where meta babies come from. I'm sure Santa as nothing to do with them, well at least I think so." A confused look came onto the adult's face as he began to think maybe the girl was onto something.

"A kid under the table?" The older incubus question the boy then went to look for himself and it seemed Tobi was right. Vic was confused as to way the boy was under the table but he thought maybe he was just too shy. Since Vic wouldn't talk he offered his hand hoping to get the other boy out from under the table. There was even a chance that Tobi and the new boy would talk and make friends. Just counted as a bonus.
