Cynthia thought about it softly, wondering if it would count about their journey.
"Well, I suppose the quest could have worked in place of a test. Though you could always declare your feelings, if you wanted to. That is if I am not just being silly and seeing things that are not there,"Cynthia replied quietly. She looked down at the ground and pawed at it softly.

Naveen couldn't help smiling as he watched her paw at the ground. Cynthia was probably shy, maybe embarrassed and unsure. He wasn't sure exactly what had made him panic about the situation, but whatever it was had vanished. Calm resettled as his adoration for this mare from a completely different side of life washed over him. "Seeing things that aren't there? I sure hope you aren't. Hallucinations usually suggest that you're not in your right mind, and I'd rather not profess my love if you're delirious."

Cynthia raised one golden eye up to look at the stallion, making a playful pout come to her face.
"Hey, not nice to make fun of me, you try being in my hooves, smarty tail. Being a princess who does not see much of the world around me, my imagination was the only thing that kept me from being bored. So, I always daydreamed about a handsome stallion coming and sweeping me off my hooves,"Cynthia admitted.

An eyebrow shot up as Naveen smirked. "Oh?" He sidled up to her, pink eyes dancing. "And is this humble merchant handsome enough to sweep you off your hooves, Princess?" he murmured against Cynthia's neck. If it was anyone else, he would've been much to embarrassed to flirt this way, but with her... She was the real deal. He'd sold his heart to this inexperienced princess, and he was hoping the payment would be hers.

Cynthia smiled softly at his words, gently nodding her head to his question as she brought her head up. In the few months (my guess, since it would have taken time to get there) since she had known him, she thought it was so handsome and kind.
"Yes, you are perfectly handsome, Nav, more than I could have dreamed for. And not only are you handsome, you are kind and loving to boot. I do not think I could ask for anything more,"Cynthia replied, her golden eyes sparkling.

"You flatter me, Princess." Naveen's pink eyes shone as they met Cynthia's. "If the price for your heart is mine, I'm more than happy to accept," he said softly. Smirking, he teasingly added, "But I don't accept refunds."
(( Yup. The mountains are a quite a ways away from where Cynthia would've been. ))

Cynthia laughed lightly, looking deep into those pink eyes of the stallion she had come to know so well.
"No worries, I do not want a refund anyway, I want you to have it for the rest of our lives. Just know, that goes double for me,"Cynthia told him calmly.

"Of course. I shall guard it with my life," Naveen replied. Glancing towards the back of the cave, he asked, "Want to take a walk, Princess?" He wanted to spend some alone time with Cynthia--and the cave had other occupants.
(( You know what? I just realized that Naveen is the name of the prince from Disney's Princess and the Frog. > .> ))

Cynthia nodded her head, knowing that she was eager to stretch her legs.
"Yes, I am ready to go for a walk, I think I rested enough for now. Lead the way, Nav, and I shall follow. And I know you will guard my heart and all of me,"Cynthia smiled.

Naveen just smiled as he headed out of the cave. A life with Cynthia... this was going to be a whole new adventure.

Cynthia followed behind him, until they made it outside where the warm sun was beating down on them. The glow seemed to make her golden hooves sparkle and she looked so happy. It looked like she had a stallion to spend the rest of her life with, enjoying everything life had to offer.
"Where do you think life will lead us?"Cynthia asked.

"I am going to enjoy spending the rest of my life with you, dear Naveen,"Cynthia told him.
